PEMBUATAN BAHAN GESEK KAMPAS REM MENGGUNAKAN SERBUK TEMPURUNG KELAPA SEBAGAI PEMODIFIKASI GESEK

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memfabrikasi bahan gesek menggunakanbahan dasar serbuk tempurung kelapa yang dapat diterapkan pada kampas remkendaraan bermotor. Formula bahan gesek dasar terdiri-dari sekitar sepuluhingredient. Serbuk tempurung kelapa dipilih untuk mengganti grafit atau serbuk batubara. Pada dasarnya bahan gesek kampas rem tersusun dari pengikat, pengisi,pemodifikasi gesek, dan serat. Pengikat, pengisi, dan penguat yang dipakai dalampenelitian ini adalah berturut-turut SBR 1712, CaCO3 dan serbuk tempurung kelapa.Spesimen dipersiapkan berdasarkan tahap eksperimen berikut: persen volumemasing-masing ingredient diukur, bahan-bahan dicampur dengan menggunakanblender, di-cure pada 190 C selama 3 jam dan kemudian dipanasi pada 200 C selama4 jam. Komposisi serbuk tempurung kelapa divariasi antara 10% sampai 30% darivolume total mould dan diperhitungkan menggunakan pendekatan Golden Section.Kadar unsur masing-masing bahan gesek diukur menggunakan energy dipersive xrayspectroscopy (EDS). Morfologi permukaan bahan gesek kampas rem diamatimenggunakan scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Kekerasan permukaan diukurmenggunakan Rockwell Hardness Tester (Wilson M1C1), Acco Wilson Instrumentsdan kekuatannya diukur menggunakan mesin uji tarik.Kata kunci: bahan gesek, kampas rem, serbuk tempurung kelapa

Abstract

The aim of this work is to know the influence of the processing ability towardstudent learning result through a cooperative learning model. The work is done througha class action research method. The processing ability is succeed if the average scoreobtained by student is more than 8.00 and at least 90% the student obtained a scoremore than 6.00. The result of the research showed that at the end of the action, theaverage score of the student was 8,15 and 37 students (~ 94,13%) obtained a scoremore than 6,00. The processing ability contributed 64,8% toward the learning result.The learning result improvement can be known through the regression’s equation, Ŷ =0,678 + 0,824 X.Keywords: pembelajaran kooperatif, kemahiran berproses, hasil belajar

Abstract

Eksperimen Elektronika Digital diharapkan mampu menjadi salah satu alat untuk meningkatkan kreativitas, akan tetapi perangkat pembelajarannya belum menunjang. Hal tersebut yang mendorong penelitian ini dilakukan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di dua tempat yaitu lokasi A dan lokasi B dengan metode RnD (Research and Development). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran berupa silabus, satuan acara pembelajaran, pre-pos tes dan petunjuk eksperimen dalam mata kuliah eksperimen elektronika digital. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan, antara lain tahap pembuatan desain, validasi desain, revisi desain, ujicoba produk, revisi produk, ujicoba pemakaian, revisi, analisis. Desain divalidasi oleh dua ahli dan layak digunakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sikap kreatif mengalami kenaikan sebesar 53% di lokasi A dan di lokasi B meningkat 40%. Peningkatan kemampuan kognitif mahasiswa lokasi A meningkat 64% pada perlakuan I dan 74% pada perlakuan 2. Kemampuan kognitif mahasiswa lokasi B meningkat 39% dan 58%. Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif dan sikap kreatif mahasiswa calon guru. Digital Electronics Experiments is expected to be one of the tools to enhance creativity, but the lesson has not been supportive. This is an encouraging study. The observation is done in two places. They are location A and location B. The observation uses the RnD (Research and Development) method. This is the development observation in order to develop the learning tools as syllabus, learning program unit, pre-post test and experiment guidance in subject study of digital electronic experiment. This observation is done with some step, they are design making, design validation, design revision, product trial, product revision, usage trial, revision, analysis. The design is validated by two experts and properly used criteria. The observation result shows that the creativity is increasing 53% in location A and in location B is increasing 40%. The increasing 64% and 74%. The students’ cognition ability in location B is increasing 39% in trial I and 58% in trial II. The development of the learning tools are able to increase the cognition ability and the creativity of the students as teachers candidate.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The aim of this research was to acknowledge, (1) the effect of the Science Guide Teacher training towards the elementary school’s science teacher performance and (2) the effect of the training to the student’s science learning results. To identify these effects, the tools used were a questionnaire, and documents from the Elementary School’s Science Guide Teacher and also from the Pati Regent’s Head of Elementary Education Office. The research design used for this research was ex-post facto, and it was described using percentage. The research results shows that the Elementary School’s Science Guide Teacher training gave significant effect on the science learning at Public Elementary School in the Pati Regent, both on the teacher’s performance and  also the student’s learning results.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan memperbaiki sikap belajar peserta didik melalui pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran matematika kons-truktivis berbasis humanistik berbantuan e-learning. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pe-ngembangan dengan model 4D yang diadaptasi menjadi 4P, yaitu pendefinisian (analisis awal-akhir, analisis peserta didik, analisis materi, analisis tugas, dan merumuskan tujuan pembelajaran khusus), perancangan (penyusunan kriteria tes, pemilihan media, pemilihan format, dan desain awal), pengembangan (validasi ahli dan uji coba), dan penyebaran. Ada-pun perangkat yang dikembangkan adalah Silabus, RPP, LKPD, dan E-learning. Teknik pe-ngumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah dengan metode tes, dokumentasi, observasi, dan angket. Berdasarkan analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa keterampilan proses dan sikap belajar peserta didik lebih baik, karena kedua variabel secara bersama memberikan pengaruh posi-tif terhadap prestasi belajar peserta didik. Rata-rata prestasi belajar kelas eksperimen mele-bihi batas KKM, sehingga rata-rata prestasi belajar kelas eksperimen lebih baik dari kelas kontrol. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan pembelajaran efektif. The purpose of this research was improving the understanding of the concept and improving the attitudes of learners through the development of software-based humanistic constructivist mathematics assisted e-learning. The research is a development research using 4D model, which is modified to 4P model, namely defining (initial-end analysis, students analysis, material analysis, assignment analysis, and formulate particular learning purpose), designing (formulate test criteria, choose media, chose format, and initial design), developing (validation by expert and try out), and dissemination. The devices develop are Syllabus, Lesson Plan, Worksheet, and E-learning. The data are collected though are test method, documentation, observation, and questionnaire. Based on the analysis of the data, we can conclude that the students’ process skill and attitude are better, because both variables positively impact the students learning outcome. The average of learning outcome in experiment class is more than the minimum criteria, and then the average of the learning outcome of experiment class is better than the control class. Thus, we can conclude that the learning is effective.

ANALYSIS OF MISCONCEPTION TO SCIENCE LITERACY USING THREE TIER MULTIPLE CHOICE TEST IN THE MATERIALS OF CHARACTERISTIC OF LIGHT

Abstract

Mastery of science literacy is the main focus of education. A factor influencing low science literacy of Indonesian students is a misconception. Recently, research on diagnostic test development regarding misconception of science literacy is very limited. Actually, there should be a correction to the learning system. Initial observation of Science class in SMP Negeri 05 Semarang showed that students had difficulty in understanding the materials of light. The evaluation tool used by the teacher was not used to show the misconception of science literacy. In this case, this research was done to develop three-tier multiple-choice (3TMC) test with science literacy aspect to unveil students’ misconception of science literacy in the materials of characteristics of lights. The samples of this research were VIIIE and VIIIF using mix method with sequential explanatory strategy. The result showed that the instruments of 3TMC test with the aspect of science literacy produced 30 test items with 25 items which fulfill the criteria of valid, reliable, enough distraction level, and tolerable difficulty level. Meanwhile, the other 5 items did not fulfill the criteria. The result of interpretation showed that commonly, students had a misconception of science literacy terms of understanding (A), the competence of science investigation (B), science as the way of thinking (C), and the application of science to technology, society, and environment. The deep interview was done to 7 students who had the highest score of misconception of science literacy. They got the misconception to the indicators of characteristics of light, a process of vision, eye defects, and optical devices.

Abstract

Recently mastery of scientific literacy for students has become the focus of education. The level of scientific literacy skills of students in Indonesia is low, which is influenced by misconceptions. So far, study on the development of diagnostic tests that uncover the misconception of scientific literacy is still limited, whereas it is much needed to improve the learning system in Indonesia. The result of observation and interview of scientific lesson in SMP Negeri 05 Semarang shows that students having difficulties in studying light materials and evaluation tools used by teachers are not continued to reveal misconception of scienctific literacy. The aims of this study to develop three tier multiple choice (3TMC) test with the scientific literacy aspect and to find the misconception of students' light scientific literacy. The research sample is class VIIIE and VIIIF with mix method of sequential explanatory strategy. The result of 3TMC test instrument with scientific literacy aspect which is developed which is 30 item where 25 items fulfill criteria with valid result, reliable, sufficient distinguishing, medium difficulty level while 5 grains are not used. The results of the interpretation indicate that the average learners have misconception of scientific literacy aspects of knowledge (A), science investigation competence (B), science as a way of thinking (C) and application of science to technology, society and environment. In-depth interviews were conducted on 7 students who experienced the highest misconception of scientific literacy. The result they experience misconceptions of scientific literacy indicators of light properties, viewing processes, eye defects and optical devices.

Abstract

Pengembangan alat peraga kit hidrostatis beserta LKS diperlukan agar siswa lebih memahami konsep tekanan zat cair. Konsep tekanan zat cair yang abstrak menjadi lebih kongkret dengan adanya kit hidrostatis, dan LKS digunakan sebagai petunjuk praktikum. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) kelayakan alat peraga kit hidrostatis beserta LKS sebesar 3,61 dikategorikan sangat layak digunakan, (2) konsep tekanan zat cair dijelaskan dengan metode demonstrasi menggunaka alat peraga kit hidrostatis dan pemahaman konsep siswa meningkat, (3) pemahan konsep siswa meningkat dengan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,65 kategori sedang. Dengan demikian, alat peraga kit hidrostatis beserta LKS layak digunakan dan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep tekanan zat cair siswa SMP. Hydrostatic kit and students’ worksheets perfection is needed so that the students understand more about the concept of fluid pressure. The abstractconcept of fluid pressure become more concrete as is hydrostatis kit, and students’ worksheets is used as a lab work guideline. The research shows that: (1) the expedience of hydrostatic kit properties and students’ worksheets is 3.61, it is categorized as very properly used, (2) the concept of fluid pressure can be explained by demonstration method using hydrostatic kit and students’ concept understanding is increasing, (3) students’ concept understanding is increasing by N-Gain value is 0.65 moderate category. So, hydrostatic kit properties and students’ worksheets is properly used and can increase the Junior High School students’ understanding about the concept of fluid pressure.
