Abstract

Development of local chicken production based on local feed ingredient is in line with the vision of Indonesian goverment to fulfill meat and egg national requirement based on local resources. There are two big problem which become stumblingblock in developing local chicken production. The first problem is the difficulty to get day old chick of local chicken. This problem can be solved by integrating breeder institutions belong to goverment with research institution and with local chicken producer association. The second problem is the low performance of local chicken. To improve local chicken performance, it can be done by improving the breed, feed and management. Several research results show that good performance of local chicken were obtained by inclusion of local feed ingredients in the ration. Therefore, development of local chicken production based an local feed resources can be applied. Key words: Development, local chicken, local resources

Abstract

Nanotechnology has been developed in various fields, included animal nutrition. Nanotechnology made the feed ingredient feed aditive and supplement in nano size, to expand the surface of the material, hence, its biological function in metabolic processes will be enhanced in the animal body. This paper will discuss the production of nanoparticle Zinc (Zn) by green synthesis method using phytogenic compounds from plant extracts as bioreductor and biostabilizer. The nano-Zn product is added into poultry diet as feed additive. The nanoparticle of Zn increased Zn bioavailability in broiler diet. Its utilization in lower doses is more efficient compared to conventional forms. The use of nanoparticle Zn has positive effect in improving growth performance and immunity status. The doses of nano Zn is 20-90 mg/kg, lower than the dose of non-nanoparticle form of Zn (40-120 mg/kg). Low doses will reduce production costs and decrease the amount of excreted Zn, which will reduce pollution to the environment. Zn nanoparticles are also reported to have antibacterial and antioxidant functions which will improve health performance of broilers.

Abstract

Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi is a form of siymbiotic mutualism between fungi and plant root. Fungi give nutrients and water to host plant and host plant give carbon to fungi. Around 4 – 20 % photosynthate as hexose are translocated to mycorrhizal root and converted directly to glycogen and trehalose at IRM to continue transport to ERM.  Carbon metabolism is going at asymbiotic and symbiotic phase with pathways  consist of glycolysis, tricarboxilate acid cycle, and pentose phosphate pathway (PPP), glyoxilate, non photosynthesis carbon metabolism, and Glu and Arg synthesis. There is  no lipid acid synthesis at asymbiotic phase so the fungi not produce new propagule and became symbion obligate. Carbon as TAG is synthesed at IRM and transported to ERM to preserve and used in ERM anabolism and spore germination. Carbon is transported through lipid translocation mechanism.

Abstract

The phosphorus element plays an essential role in plant growth both at the vegetative and generative phases, so its concentration modification in the nutrient solution is necessary to stimulate vegetative growth and crop yield. The research aimed to know the influence of different phosphorus concentrations on growth and yield of cherry tomato using a hydroponic drip irrigation system, conducted from February to June 2017 at Green House Research Station of  Universitas Padjajaran Jatinangor using Completely Randomized Design with five treatments and five replications. The treatments were: phosphorous concentration of 100 ppm (P/N ratio 0.4), 125 ppm (P/N ratio 0.5), 150 ppm (P/N ratio 0.6), 175 ppm (P/N ratio 0.7), and 200 ppm (P/N ratio 0.8). The results showed that the increasing concentration of phosphorus improved crops height at the end of the vegetative phase, increased the number of flowers from the beginning to the end of the generative period, was able to prevent the flower fall, enhanced harvest index and weight of tomato fruit significantly at harvest time. Application of 200 ppm phosphorus concentration can increase growth and yield of cherry tomato. Unsur fosfor berperan penting dalam pertumbuhan tanaman pada fase vegetatif maupun fase generatif. Konsentrasi unsur P pada nutrisi tanaman sangat penting untuk merangsang pertumbuhan vegetatif dan hasil panen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ragam kosentrasi unsur posfor terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman tomat cherry pada sistem hidroponik irigasi tetes. Penelitian telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari sampai Juni 2017 di Green House Universitas Padjadjaran Jatinangor menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap terdiri dari lima perlakuan dan lima ulangan. Perlakuan konsentrasi posfor, yaitu 100 ppm (rasio P/N 0,4), 125 ppm (rasio P/N 0,5), 150 ppm (rasio P/N 0,6); 175 ppm (rasio P/N 0,7), dan 200 ppm (rasio P/N 0,8). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan konsentrasi posfor meningkatkan tinggi tanaman pada akhir fase vegetatif, meningkatkan jumlah bunga dari awal sampai akhir fase generatif, mengurangi jumlah bunga gugur, meningkatkan indeks panen dan berat buah. Aplikasi konsentrasi posfor 200 ppm dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman tomat cherry.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the interdependence between the variables of marketing strategy and organizational performance of insurance companies using canonical correlation analysis multiple multivariate analysis approach. Correlation value is interdependence will be able to explain the subgroup where the dominant variable affecting other subgroups on the company based on the value of redundancy index. The study population was 9 insurance companies that go public when the study was conducted in 2013. Given two exogenous variables, i.e. variables Effectiveness Strategy (STRAEFEK) and Efficiency Strategy (STRATEFIS). Endogenous variable is the Debt to Asset Ratio (DAR), Debt to Eqiity Ratio (DER), Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), Operating Profit Margin (OPM) and Net Profit Margin (NPM). Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of phytase enzymes and ZnO supplementation on the performance of native chicken Sentul-G3 fed high rice-bran diet. Two hundred and seventy day old chicks (DOC) native chicken Sentul-G3 from three different hatcheries were used in this study. Factorial randomized block design (3 x 3) was applied in this study. The first factor was the enzyme phytase supplementation levels (0; 1000; 2000 U/kg), the second factor was the level of supplementation of ZnO (0; 1.5; 3.2 g/kg), so that there are nine treatment given, namely R1 = 50% commercial diet : 50% rice bran; R2 = R1 + 1.5 g ZnO/kg; R3 = R1 + 3.2 g ZnO/kg; R4 = R1 + phytase enzyme 1000 U/kg; R5 = R1 + (phytase enzyme 1000 U/kg + 1.5 g ZnO/kg); R6 = R1 + (phytase enzyme 1000 U/kg + 3.2 g ZnO/kg); R7 = R1 + phytase enzyme 2000 U/kg; R8 = R1 + (phytase enzyme 2000 U/kg + 1.5 g ZnO/kg); R9 = R1 + (phytase enzyme 2000 U/kg + 3.2 g ZnO/kg). Each experimental unit consisted of 6 head unsexed native chicken Sentul-G3. The experimental diet was fed for 10 weeks. The variables measured were body weight, body weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion ratio, mortality, mineral deposition of Ca, P, Zn in the tibia bone, alkaline phosfatase enzyme activity in serum. Results showed that there was significant interaction (P<0.05) between phytase enzyme and ZnO supplementation on body weight, body weight gain, feed conversion, zinc deposition in the tibia bone. There was no significant interaction (P> 0.05) between phytase enzyme and ZnO supplementation on feed intake, mortality, alkaline phosphatase enzyme activity in serum, and deposition of calcium and  phosphorus in the tibia bone. It was concluded that supplementation of phytase enzyme and ZnO were not able to increase the growth of native chicken Sentul-G3 on fed diet containing high rice bran. Abstract

An experiment in feeding pre-starter diets was carried out on local chicken (KUB chicken) raised to the age of 84 days. Four hundred and eighty day-old KUB chicks were allocated to experimental diets of P1 = standard diet without pre-starter; P2 = OASIS® pre-starter for 48 hours feeding; P3 = COBA-1, a mixture of 76.3% yolk powder, 0.76% inulin powder, 7.63 % honey and 15.3% tomato sauce, for 24 hours feeding; P4 = P3 given for 48 hours feeding; P5 = fresh papaya for 24 hours feeding; P6 = P5 for 48 hours feeding; P7 = fasting for 24 hours and P8 = fasting for 48 hours. Following treatment, the chicks were then fed with standard diet, containing 17.5 % crude protein with 2800 kcal ME/kg up to the end of the experiment. Results showed that the group of chicken on pre-starter diet of ripe papaya fruit (P5 and P6), responded better EPEF (European Performance Efficiency Factor) value of 442 and 356 g/bird, respectively in chicken of P5 and P6. This better response was due to particularly higher viability and the efficiency in utilization of feed. Key Words: Pre-starter Diets, KUB Chicken, Performance

Abstract

One hundred and sixty KUB pullets of 22 weeks of age (KUB = Kampung chicken selected for egg production) were previously raised on different dietary protein level during starter-grower period. During starting period, chicks (0-12 weeks of age) were given dietary protein of: 16% crude protein, CP (R1); 17.5% CP (R2); 19% CP (R3); 20.5% CP (R4); 22% CP (R5). All dietary treatments were iso-energy of 2800 kcal ME (metabolisable energy)/kg. During growing period (12-22 weeks) each group of treatment chick was divided into two regimes of dietary protein levels. One was subjected to the same as treatments given during starting period, and the other one was given diet with reduced dietary protein content up to 1.5%. The treatments were R1-1, having dietary protein of 16.0%; R1-2, having dietary protein of 14.5%; R2-1, having dietary protein of 17.5%; R2-2, having dietary protein of 16.0%; R3-1, having dietary protein of 19.0%; R3-2, having dietary protein of 17.5%; R4-1, having dietary protein of 20.5%; R4-2, having dietary protein of 19.0%; R5-1, having dietary protein of 22% and R5-2, having dietary protein of 20.5%. The energy content of all dietary treatments was the same for all treatments 2800 kkal ME/kg. The hens were then grouped into the treatment as the treatment groups of growing period of 12-22 weeks. Hens were then raised on laying diet, containing 17.11% CP (crude protein) with 2728 kcal ME/kg. The results showed that the change of dietary treatment, given during growing period, influenced (P < 0,05) first lay weight, first egg weight,  weight gain, egg weight, egg width, egg volume of KUB hens age of 22-42 weeks. And the dietary protein treatment, given during starter and growing period, influenced (P < 0.05) first lay body weight, first lay age, feed consumption, egg weight, egg length, egg width of KUB hens age of 22-42 weeks. Abstract

Designing Market-Driven Organizations reflects the needs of the customer in the design, roles, and organizational activities. This paper has objectives to review the definitions, concepts, and models relating to the organization based on market needs. The research method used is based on the study of literature references are used as discussion material. The main theories used are the marketing concept, customer value, and design organizations. Conclusion the results of the analysis indicate that the philosophy or concept of marketing is used as the basic design of the organization based on market forces are still relevant to todays conditions.
