Abstract

Rancangan pada gerobak bakso sepeda motor yang digunakan untuk berjualan keliling belum mempertimbangkan aspek keseimbangan beban, kemudahan mobilitas, tempat penyajian, dan daya tarik pembeli. Penelitian ini bertujuan memperbaiki pada rancangan gerobak bakso sepeda motor berdasarkan kemudahan pelayanan bagi pembeli dan keseimbangan muatan pada sepeda motor. Identifikasi awal dilakukan pada gerobak bakso sepeda motor di wilayah Surakarta dan sekitarnya. Perbaikan  awal  ini  melalui penerapan rating faktor untuk pertimbangan dalam penempatan bagian-bagian dari peletakan beban muatan. Penentuan ukuran pada dimensi rangka dengan memperhatikan aspek anthropometri. Hasil pada penelitian ini memperoleh keseimbangan momen untuk penempatan beban muatan bagian sisi kanan dan sisi kiri dari rancangan gerobak sepeda motor. Keseimbangan momen keseluruhan untuk gerobak bakso sebesar  91,684  Nm. Bagian sisi kanan diseimbangkan pada beban isi kompor 34,0 Nm dan beban isi dandang 46,84 Nm. Keseimbangan momen untuk beban dan rangka di setiap komponen dicapai 162,74 Nm. Hasilnya pada gerobak bakso sepeda motor memiliki tempat penyajian yang menjadi daya tarik pembeli, dan beban muatan lebih seimbang agar memudahkan dalam mobilitas dan keselamatan pengendara. Abstract

Designing of pattern at iron ductile product later on machinery process, it can be comprehend that correctness of workpiece dimension made at coran with acute angle which difficult to make. Other consideration is media weared in moulding. Workpiece dimension that made have to can eliminate the occuring of air bubble, holes tail and can improve the nature of mechanical. Mould pattern require to be performed by treatment to prevent the occuring of inappropiate among small radius and wide radius that to be made sufficiently to guarantee influence of addition. Abstract

Pengembangan  komponen telapak tangan prosthetic terdiri dari metacarpal, metacarpal pollicis, dan jari tangan. Bahan yang digunakan yaitu nylon, jumlah komponen sebanyak 87 dan berat 175 gram. Kemampuan ibu jari dan jari telunjuk memegang peranan penting dalam melakukan 6 model gerakan. Posisi ujung phalanx media-distalis ibu jari dan jari telunjuk bertemu pada satu titik, sehingga mampu melakukan gerakan dasar tangan. Pengujian dengan eksperimen empiris pada pengembangan prosthetic tangan kosmetik dilakukan untuk mengetahui rotasi dari titik koordinat pada sendi pada saat aktivitas pemegangan. Sumbu koordinat ruang dan sistem dimana sumbu x, y, dan z, dengan titik nol ditetapkan pada pangkal poros utama. Model mekanisme prosthetic tangan kosmetik dengan sistem penarikan pada kendali kabel eksternal. Pengukuran tekanan pada ibu jari dengan jari telunjuk sebesar 493 gram yang dilakukan dengan alat dial indicator, pengukuran tekanan ibu jari dengan jari tengah sebesar 487 gram. Pengujian beban tarikan kabel untuk membuka jari menjadi terbuka penuh sebesar 4.291 gram dengan alat force gauge. Persamaan Newton-Euler menghasilkan besarnya torsi melalui persamaan forward (maju) dan backward (mundur). Rotasi matriks yang disimbolkan xRx+1, dengan x adalah titik mulai dan x+1 adalah titik tujuan. Titik koordinat pada tiap ruas sebagai degree of freedom pada tiga titik, yaitu titik 0, titik 1, dan titik 2. Perhitungan matriks rotasi menggunakan titik awal (origin) dan titik tujuan (destination). Titik 0 jari ditentukan pada sendi metacarpophalangeal, titik 1 pada sendi interphalangeal proximalis, dan titik 2 pada ujung komponen phalanx media-distalis sebagai end effector dimana ω0 = v0 = 0 dan gravitasi g = 9,8062 m/s2. Besarnya torsi maksimal dicapai pada gerakan spherical sebesar 10,00449 N.m, dengan mengkonversikan besaran torsi ke daya maka dicapai sebesar untuk gerakan spherical sebesar 12,5046 watt, dan daya terkecil pada gerakan lateral dan tip sebesar 12,5041 watt. Daya yang dihasilkan dapat digunakan sebagai dasar menentukan spesifikasi motor. Spesifikasi motor yaitu tipe motor servo dengan seri PTSV4835 atau SV4835, rpm 55,1, volt (12,13 V), I (4.27 amp), input (51,82 watt), torque ( 47 kg-cm), output (26,60 watt) dan efficiency sebesar 51,33%. The material used is nylon, the number of components of 87 and 175 grams weight. Ability thumb and index finger an important role in the movement to 6 models. The position of the tip-media Phalanx distalis thumb and index finger meet at one point, so that they can perform the basic hand movements. Testing with empirical experiments on the development of cosmetics Prosthetic hand performed to determine the rotation of the coordinate points on the joints during activities of holdings. Coordinate axis and space axis system where x, y, and z, with zero point set at the base of the main shaft. Model mechanism cosmetics Prosthetic hand with withdrawal system to control an external cable. Measurement of pressure on the thumb with the index finger of 493 grams which is done by means of a dial indicator, measuring the pressure with the thumb middle finger for 487 grams. Load Testing pull cable to open the fingers to be fully open by 4291 grams with a force gauge. Newton-Euler equations to produce the amount of torque through the equation forward (forward) and backward (backward). Rotation matrix symbolized xRx +1, with x is the starting point and x +1 is the destination point. Point coordinates on each segment as a degree of freedom on three points, namely the point 0, point 1 and point 2. Rotation matrix calculation using the starting point (origin) and the destination point (destination). Fingers 0 points specified in the metacarpophalangeal joints, point 1 on the interphalangeal joints proximalis, and point 2 at the end of the media components of Phalanx distalis as end-effector where ω0 = v0 = 0 and the gravity g = 9.8062 m/s2. The amount of the maximum torque is achieved on the movement of spherical 10.00449 Nm, with the amount of torque to convert the power to achieve registration to the movement of spherical 12.5046 watts, and the smallest at lateral movement and the tip of 12.5041 watts. The resulting power can be used as the basis for determining the motor specifications. Specification of the type of motor servo motor with PTSV4835 or SV4835 series, 55.1 rpm, volts (12.13 V), I (4:27 amp), the input (51.82 watts), torque (47 kg-cm), output (26.60 watts) and the efficiency of 51.33%. Abstract

Dalam proses produksi rokok melewati beberapa proses, salah satunya adalah proses perajangan daun tembakau. Dalam proses perajangan, petani tembakau masih banyak yang menggunakan cara manual. Dalam melakukan aktivitas perajangan daun tembakau para pekerja duduk dipapan alas duduk perajangan, kemudian kedua tangannya untuk tangan kirinya memegang daun tembakau, sedangkan tangan kanannya memegang pisau untuk merajang. Pekerja perajang daun tembakau menggunakan alat yang seadanya tidak memperhatikan ukurannya sesuai anthropometri pekerja, sehingga pekerja mengalami keluhan nyeri dipinggang dan tangan cepat pegal. Hal ini disebabkan pekerja dalam posisi duduk agak membungkuk dalam melakukan aktivitas perajangan. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang timbul perlu adanya perancangan ulang alat perajangan daun tembakau untuk mengurangi keluhan para pekerja. Tahapan dalam perancangan ulang alat perajangan daun tembakau terdiri dari identifikasi pekerja dalam melakukan aktivitas perajangan, mengkonversi keluhan pekerja, pembangkitan gagasan (idea), rancangan alat perajangan daun tembakau. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah didapatkannya rancangan ulang alat perajangan daun tembakau yang mampu mengatasi rasa nyeri di pinggang dan pegal ditangan pekerja dengan menaikkan papan alas duduk dan papan merajang. Dimensi ukuran alat gendong juga sesuai dengan tubuh pekerja, karena perancangan alat perajangan daun tembakau menggunakan data anthropometri pekerja yang sudah di uji statistik terlebih dahulu. Hasil rancangan alat perajangan daun tembakau kemudian diujicobakan kepada pekerja mampu mengatasi keluhan rasa nyeri dan pegal sesuai dengan ukuran tubuh pekerja

Abstract

This paper will discuss about CNC turning machining process. One of the way to increase productivity in CNC machining process is by tooling process sequencing in processing workpiece feature. Tool sequencing in CNC turning machining process can be made by comparing tool sequencing process model 1 (turning3. SD1) with tool sequence process model 2 (turning1. SD1), these activity is needed to measure the distance effect from workpiece cutting process with tool in z axis. Comparison between model 1 and model 2 can be a guidance to achieve the optimum processing time. This paper is expected could explain how to increase processing time productivity by feeding tool sequence for cutting process. Another advantage from feeding tool sequence is the short cuting time that directly decrease maximum cutting (Flmax) and also unproper NC machining program.

Abstract

Experiment use Taguchi method, with quality characteristic is shear strength at brazing joint based on standard examination of AWS C3.2M/C3.2:2001, while anticipated factor can improve shear strength is temperature, time held up and refrigeration method at heat treatment process. Data processing use two analysis to determine optimal level setting, consist of analysis of mean and analysis of signal to noise ratio, then conducted confirmation experiment to test value of factor level setting predicted at optimal condition.

Abstract

PT. Dwi Komala is one of middle-scale industries that producing in footwear product. In production system, waste such as movement waste and excessive transportation, are commonly found and affect to unmet production target. This waste occurs because the work station placement does not consider the production process flow and spatial interconnectedness. One of solutions that can be done to repair the facility layout is redesigning the layout by considering production process flow and the relationship between any space in the layout. The layout of facilities in this company is not made based on the good planning but only adjusting with the existing space, so that irregular layout results. Meanwhile, the facility layout not taking into account the production process flow, production machineries placement and production activity requirement results in larger material handling cost and it will impact on the high production cost and production process time. For that reason, this research aims to produce the proposal of layout design that can minimize the material handling cost (MHC). In this research, the facility is redesigned using Systematic Layout Planning (SLP). The SLP procedure consists of three stages: analysis, adjustment and evaluation. The analysis stage includes material flow analysis, activity relationship chart (ARC), activity relationship diagram (ARD), area requirement analysis and available area analysis. The adjustment stage includes planning the spatial relationship diagram and alternative layout design. In evaluation stage, the evaluation was done on the alternative layout design. Three proposed layout which minimizes material handling cost could be resulted by Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) method. The first proposed layout gives a significant saving of 11.35% compare to existing layout. The second layout results in 31.17% saving while the last layout gives a saving of 32.44%. Thus, the third layout proposal was recommended as the selected layout proposal

Abstract

This paper proposes design and development of below knee prosthesis using quality function deployment (QFD) to return the balance of human body so the patient can do their daily activities. In this method, design and development based on the voice of customer. The result of design and development is below knee prosthesis using insert silicone socket, cuff rubber suspension system, adaptor rotator ankle, jaipur foot and stainless steel pylon as strengteness. It is hope, that this below knee prosthesis be able to accommodate the user’s need and want.

Abstract

PT. Siemens Indonesia is an industry engaged in the production of Energy Distribution, as Simoprime World Panel with world market-oriented. The problems that occurred there was delay time and completion of the scheduled production target. Delay in completion of the scheduled deadline because of the inefficiency caused by the flow process in the handling of waste resulting from the assembly. The purpose of this study was to identify waste and operating conditions that occurred on the main assembly. Lean Production was used in this research. In lean production concept, Value Stream Analysis Tool (VALSAT) was used as an instrument to map the waste that occurred and detailed Mapping Tool to determine the operating conditions. In identifying waste, the weighting of each work station waste in the main assembly. Based on the weighting of waste which made known that the biggest waste of waiting time and for the operating conditions, 21% non value adding activities from main assembly.

Abstract

The Taguchi Method is one of method that is applied in off line control activities in the design ofproduction process stage. In the production process of interior gypsum, there are many handicaps found when gypsum is going to be taken out of the matrix and placed. Thus, it will make loss in both the company and the customers. The goal of this research is to determine influential factors to the produced interior gypsum, to determine Analysis of variance (Anova) and to count Signal to Noise Ratio (SN ratio), to determine the best setting level from the influential factors, and to count the quality loss function for knowing the loss made by handicapped product. This research uses experiment method and the experiment is done in three stages. The first is based on the company setting and uses 30 samples. The second is based on the applied orthogonal array, L8 (27), and uses 4 replications for every level combination. The third is based on optimum setting and uses 10 samples. From the data processing, there is average rise of compressive strength examination up to 12,63 kg/cm2. This optimum setting will reduce the loss experienced by the company and customers. It can be seen from the value of quality loss function gained before and after applying optimum setting.
