Abstract

Abstrak Indonesia merupakan negara yang memiliki berbagai macam suku. Masing-masing suku mempunyai adat budaya yang berbeda, salah satunya tercermin dari bentuk sebuah kampung. Kampung  yang dimaksud dalam makalah ini adalah kampung vernakular, yaitu sebuah kampung yang didirikan berdasarkan keadaan alam, tradisi, memiliki citra arsitektur tradisional dan orientasi massa bangunannya disusun berdasarkan hubungan antara manusia dengan lingkungan dan budaya berdasarkan kemampuan dan kecerdasan masyarakat setempat . Kemajuan teknologi meningkatnya kondisi ekonomi mempunyai peran dalam mendorong terjadinya suatu perubahan, demikian pula yang terjadi pada sebuah kampung vernakular. Dengan metoda kualitatif, penelitian ini akan melihat langsung ke lokasi mengenai perubahan tatanan massa bangunan yang terjadi di kampung Mahmud, sebuah kampung vernakular yang terletak di Desa Mekar Rahayu, Kecamatan Marga Asih, Kabupaten Bandung. Dengan mempelajari latar belakang sejarah berdirinya kampung, kemudahan aksesibilitas saat ini cenderung memicu terjadinya perubahan di kampung tersebut. Oleh karenanya diperlukan campur tangan pemerintah dan masyarakat setempat untuk dapat melestarikan keaslian kampung vermakular tersebut. Kata Kunci : Kampung vernakular, orientasi massa bangunan, aksesibilitas. Abstract Indonesia is a country that has a wide variety of parts. Each tribe has a different cultural customs, one of which is reflected in the form of a village. Villages referred to in this paper is the vernacular village, a village that was established based on the state of nature, tradition, traditional architecture has the image and the orientation of the building masses are arranged based on the relationship between humans and the environment and the culture based on ability and intelligence communities. Advances in technology have increased the economic conditions led to a role in the changes, so it is with a village vernacular. With qualitative methods, this study will look directly to the location of the mass of the building structure changes that occurred in the village Mahmud, a vernacular village located in Mekar Rahayu village, Kecamatan Marga Asih, Bandung regency. By studying the historical background of the founding of the village, easy accessibility currently tend to trigger the changes the village. Therefore, government intervention is required and the local community to be able to preserve the authenticity of the vermakular village. Abstract

Today, multicultural counseling to be one of the most efficacy and effective helping professionals services in helping counselees achieve positive changes. But, critical question is what makes efficacy and effectiveness of multicultural counseling? The purpose of this study is to explore of the factors affecting the efficacy and effectiveness of multicultural counseling. This study used survey method. The participant included 30 pre-service counselor educators (master’s students) from Department of Guidance and Counseling in Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Data were collected using questionnaire that is Common Factors in Multicultural Counseling Scale in the form of Likert five-level scale. The data were analyzed with exploratory factor analysis. The results showed that there are two factors affecting the efficacy and effectiveness of multicultural counseling in the perspectives of pre-service counselor educators, named: (1) specific factors, such as: counseling approach and techniques and multicultural counseling competencies; and (2) common factors, such as: person of the counselor (wisdom) and counseling alliance. The implication is that counselor educators need to consider and develop these factors in Counselor Education and Supervision programs.

Abstract

This research aims to indentify the potency and suitability of land for cropping corn, and considering suitability of given input with limiting factors. The research have taken place since May to October 2006 in Saentis Village, District of Percut Sei Tuan. It focus on three types of land such as Alluvial, Regosol, and Organosol which are placed on 4 metres above sea level. By using method of des-criptive survey and sampling of the three land types, resulting that there is a tight significant relation between characteristic of land and production of corn. On the type of S3 m Alluvial with 33 of land index, including marginal suitable with middle level of limiting factors, at KTK, N total and P is available. Through giving urea and TSP, and adding organic materials, there was a shifting of class to S2 m which is marginal suitable with middle limiting. On the Regosol type of land, class of suitability of land categorized S3 m and 34 index of land, categorized marginal suitable with middle level of limiting factors, N total, and P is available. With adding anor-ganinc and organic materials, there was elevating one class to suitability level became S2 m (suitable). On type of Organosol, suitabi-lity of land categorized S2 and 74 of land index, categorized suitable with one limiting factor of availability of P, but if adding anor-ganic material added, suitability of land can be increase to one level become S1 (most suitable).

Abstract

This classroom action research investigates how YouTube videos containingpronunciation drills exposed by English native speakers develop the EFL students’phonological appropriation. This activity also relates to developing classroom-basedmaterials via accessing various relevant resources inside and outside the classroom asthey are available in the information, communication and technology (ICT) era now.The study was based on the problems that the students got difficulties in EnglishPhonology class pertaining to the segmental, supra-segmental phonemes andphonological contrast. It is all about the phonology complex rules that students have tounderstand and drill in a very short meeting hour (2 credits course- 2x45 minutes permeeting). The participants of the study were the fourth semester students (class F) ofEnglish Education Department of Faculty of Education, Lancang Kuning University inRiau. The study was conducted from March to May 2014 only in one cycle consisting ofseven meetings. The study reveals that using such YouTube videos could improvestudents’ phonological appropriation and assist them in understanding the complex rulesof English phonology class since they had been experienced with English nativespeakersas the models for their pronunciation learning and practices as they couldaccess them in YouTube.

Abstract

This research aims to realize the implementation increase enterpreunership and lifeskill of the students bykascing organic waste as experiment method experiment technic in subject Evaluation and Conservation ofFarm Resource Geography Education Department. This research is carried out July until November 2012 atGeography Education Department. Data that got to outcome of the research by student and the lecture.The activity of research devided for four cycle, consist of planning, action, experiment and reflection. Abstract

This research was conducted at MTs Negeri 2 Pekanbaru based on phenomenon that most of the students were less vocabulary. The purpose of this research was to improve the students’ vocabulary mastery by using ESA (Engage, Study, Activate) method as a teaching method and factor that influence it. The research was a Classroom Action Research. The total number of the sample was 30 students at grade VIII.1 of MTs Negeri 2 Pekanbaru. The researcher did the research in one cycle (five meetings including the test). The data was collected by using vocabulary test, observation checklist, and field notes. There was improvement from based score to cycle 1. In the based score, noun was 65.32, verb was 69.32, adjective 65.32, and adverb was 66.64 with average score 66.67. The result of cycle 1, noun 74.64, and verb was 81.32, adjective was 76.64, and adverb was 82.This research, showed that there were some factors influencing their improvement. The students were engaged in activities, having fun, and active in learning process. The teacher’s approach in explaining material was clear enough and classroom condition as well as method supported the learning achievement. After conducting this research by using ESA (Engage, Study, Activate) method improved in cycle 1. Referring to the result, researcher concluded that ESA (Engage, Study, Activate) method can improve the students’ vocabulary mastery.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasari dengan adanya kebutuhan untuk mengukur dan menganalisis sejauhmanakemampuan mahasiswa dalam menulis esai argumentatif. Hasil pengukuran tersebut bertujuanuntuk menganalisis kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menulis esai argumentatif yang digunakansebagai bahan evaluasi mata kuliah Academic Writing. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitianini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan rancangan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Yang menjadipartisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester 5 prodi Pendidikan Bahasa InggrisFKIP-UNILAK Tahun Akademik 2017/2018 yang berjumlah sebanyak 52 orang. Instrumenpenelitian yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah tes dan wawancara. Berdasarkanhasil tes, diperoleh nilai rata-rata mahasiswa adalah 78.1 dan dikategorikan ke dalamkemampuan yang baik (good). Selanjutnya, dari hasil wawancara diperoleh informasi bahwamahasiswa mampu menulis esai dengan baik karena mahasiswa tersebut cukup mampu danmemahami cara menulis esai tersebut. Sehingga, hal ini dapat memudahkan mahasiswa dalammenulis esai argumentatif. Berdasarkan hasil temuan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwakemampuan mahasiswa semester 5 prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris FKIP-UNILAK TahunAkademik 2017/2018 dalam menulis esai argumentatif dikategorikan ke dalam kemampuan yangbaik.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengeksplorasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kearifan konselor menurut perspektif calon konselor etnis Jawa. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif jenis survey. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 270 calon konselor etnis Jawa semester enam dari 11 Program Studi Bimbingan dan Konseling di Indonesia. Sampel penelitian dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket yaitu Skala Anteseden Kearifan Konselor yang berbentuk skala lima jenjang. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan analisis faktor eksploratoris. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat enam faktor yang mempengaruhi kearifan konselor menurut perspektif calon konselor etnis Jawa. Faktor-faktor yang dimaksud dinamakan: (1) kepribadian dan kecerdasan, (2) pengalaman, (3) atribut pribadi, agama, dan spiritual; (4) keterampilan metakognitif (berpikir kritis dan mendalam); (5) konteks fasilitatif; dan (6) kepakaran (profesionalitas). THE FACTORS AFFECTING A COUNSELOR’S WISDOM IN THE PERSPECTIVES OF JAVANESE PRE-SERVICE COUNSELORSAbstractThe purpose of this research is to explore the factors affecting a counselor’s wisdom in the perspectives of Javanese pre-service counselors. The research adopted a descriptive method of survey. The sample included 270 of the sixth semester of Javanese pre-service counselors from 11 Guidance and Counseling Study Program in Indonesia. Data were collected using questionnaire, which is Counselor Wisdom Antecedents Scale, in the form of five-level scale. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and exploratory factor analysis. The findings show that there are six factors affecting a counselor’s wisdom in the perspectives of Javanese pre-service counselors. The six factors named: (1) personality and intelligence, (2) experience, (3) personal attributes, religiosity, and spirituality, (4) metacognitive skills (critical and in-depth thinking skills), (5) context-facilitative, and (6) expertise (professionality).
