Abstract: The Institute of Islamic education is foremost on the classic era is the mosque. However, because of the demands of Muslim society to education has increased and the demands of the welfare of the teachers have also increased the education that was originally held in the mosque developing into education held at the madrasah. Therefore, madrasah educational institutions were  the development of the mosque, the mosque khan then increased to madrasah. Learning methods used in the madrasah also experienced growth. The method of learning at the madrasah  such as  al-samā (dictation), and al-ijāzah (diploma) was not found in the learning in the mosqueKata Kunci: madrasah, masa Islam klasik, metode pengajaran

In the history of human life, there is always requires the progress and development in order to improve their living standards. For that matter, there are the ideas about transfer, preservation and development of human culture, in order to improve the quality of human resources in the future. Therefore, in the history of the growth and development of society, education is a great topic which is always gets an attention in order to improve the human resources, trough by the times.Nidham al-Mulk who was very concerned with the progress and development of society, had strived to continuously maintained and improved the human resources in his era. In that time, education implemented in various mosques, but because the number of students and in order to maintain the quality of worshipping to the God then, Nidham al-Mulk founded madrasah to response the demands of society in order to study well, namely Nidhamiah.

This article aims at outlining the characteristics of Ibn Khaldun’s political thought and at analyzing Ibn Khaldun’s views on state leadership. Based on Ibn Khaldun’s works, it clearly explains that Ibn Khaldun saw man from sociological and anthropological point of views. For him, human are not able to live without living and working with other creatures. This shows the necessity of organization for all mankind due to its function as an important factor in leading human existence to perfection.

The impurity of Islam understood by most Indonesian Muslims at the beginning of dissemination constitutes to a form of adaptation through assimilation between Islam and local tradition that animism  and dynamism are found,  so that the Indonesian Muslims show things that are contrary with principles of Islam, especially those are related to the principles of Islamic’s theology that rejects all forms of musyrik and khurafat. The sinkretisme happens and experiences over all archipelago in general and continues to be-so, at least before some Islamic reform movement is present as neutralizing the situation. The existences of Islamic reform movements are not able to eliminate the ongoing process of acculturation. There is no much efforts provided considering that all movements in colonial period are limited. It is only at the time of Indonesias independence that is all movements by reformist and traditional ulama are in move to act the upheaval including those take place in Selayar with Makka Keke’s belief system in the village of Gantarang.

The main problem of this research is the role of da'wah management in religious activities in the Islamic Community section in the office of the Ministry of Religion, Gowa Regency. Then presents 2 sub-problems, namely religious activities carried out in the Islamic Community section in the office of the Ministry of Religion, Gowa Regency and the efforts of the Islamic Bimas section in organizing religious activities in the office of the Ministry of Religion of Gowa Regency. The results of this study indicate that religious activities carried out in the Islamic Community Guidance Section in the Office of the Ministry of Religion of Gowa Regency are: 1) Counseling of Instructors and Executives, 2) Guidance of Mosque 3) Development of Sakinah Families 4) Development of Endowments Zakat. In arranging religious activities in the Islamic Community Guidance Section has implemented Da'wah management functions, among others: Takhthit (missionary planning), Tanzhim (organizing), Tawjih (movement / implementation), Riqabah (control), and evaluation.

This research is aimed to: 1) find out the objective condition of supporting elements of Character Building Training Program in State Islamic University of Alauddin Makassar at the antecedent phase, 2) look over the efectivity of the program implementation at the transaction phase, and 3) identify the character of students as the outcome of CBT Program. This formative evaluation research applies qualitative research particulary countenance stake. The data are collected by observation, questionnaire, interview, and documentation. The data are analyzed by domain analysis technique, tacsonomy, and componential technique, based on evaluation phase and applied together with data collecting. This research points out that antecedents phase is on the high category and transaction and outcomes phase are on moderat category.
