Abstract

This research aim to know result of engineering learning achievement of student of Elektronic technical Department, that taught by using audio-visual aid (media), and result of student learning taught by using conventional method. Research subject is student of Elektronic technical Department which programming Computer network study subject in school year 2008/2009, that divided into experiment group and control group. Every group consisted of 17 mans and 16 mans, that fixed randomly. Experiment group that taught by using audio-visual aid, whereas control group that taught by using conventional method. Student achievement in Computer network  engineering was evaluated by using cognitive summative test. Based on descriptive analysis indicates that result of student computer network engineering learning that taught by using audio-visual aid to stay at very high category, while student that taught with conventional approach resided at high category. Result of research indicates that there are difference significantly result of computer network engineering learning between students taught by using media audio-visual compared to student taught by using conventional method at Elektronic technical Department, where result of student learning taught by using audio-visual media ( 16,25) is higher than result of student learning taught by using conventional method ( 9,25). Implication of this research finding is that the lecturers or teacher need to allow for applies technology-based media in teaching, as audio-visual aid (media), so that result of learning in an optimal fashion, especially for engineering area learning.

Abstract

This research shows that technical teachers in South Sulawesi have already high professionalism in teaching profession. However, those with less participation in upgrading courses show less professionalism than those with moderate and intensive participation in those courses. Next to upgrading courses, teaching experiences and attitudes towards teaching profession also contribute to the professionalism. There is no difference in professionalism between teachers with a sarjana degree and those with D-3 degree.

Abstract

It is claimed that some variables, such as parents encouragement, apprenticeship, work motivation, entrepreneurial information, and entrepreneurial knowledge enhance the student interest in entrepreneurship, the first variable, espesially, plays a very strategic role in increasing the interest of the students. The samples comprises 601 students of general and vocational secondary school, 93 parents, and 22 entrepreneurs in Ujung Pandang. The sampling technique employed is proportional random sampling and purposive sampling.

Abstract

Contribution of work motivation, job mobility, work experience, and know­ledge for entrepreneurship informal sector workers welfare. The purpose of this study is to determine the contribution of work motivation, job mobility, work experience, and knowledge for entrepreneurship informal sector workers welfare. The population of this research is small-scale traders in the city of Makassar Industrial Area, with 120 respondents as samples. Data were collected using questioner and simple tests, then analyzed using correlation and regression techniques. The results show: (1) there is a positive relationship between work motivation, job mobility, work experience, and knowledge of entrepreneurship to the level of welfare of informal sector workers, with R = 0.69 and (2) the contribution of independent variables on the dependent variable of 47.78%, respectively 24.63% by the knowledge of entrepreneurship, 15.65% by the work motivation, job mobility by 3.84%, and 3.65% by work experience.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kontribusi motivasi kerja, mobilitas kerja, pengalaman kerja, dan pengetahuan kewiraswastaan terhadap tingkat kesejah­teraan pekerja sektor informal. Populasi penelitian adalah pedagang kecil di Kawasan Industri kota Makasar, dengan sampel 120 responden. Data dikumpulkan mengguna­kan quesioner dan tes sederhana, dan dianalisis menggunakan teknik korelasi dan regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) terdapat hubungan positif antara motivasi kerja, mobilitas kerja, pengalaman kerja, dan pengetahuan kewiraswastaan dengan tingkat kesejahteraan pekerja sektor informal, dengan R = 0,69 dan (2) kontribusi variabel independen terhadap variabel dependen sebesar 47,78%, secara berturut-turut 24,63% oleh pengetahuan kewiraswastaan, 15,65% oleh motivasi kerja, 3,84% oleh mobilitas kerja, dan 3,65% oleh pengalaman kerja.

Abstract

Abstract: Effectiveness of the Feedback Providing Strategies on the PracticumPerformance of the Students of the Diploma Three (D-3) of the ElectronicEngineering Department. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of thefeedback providing strategies (immediate feedback and delayed feedback) onstudents? performance in the Electronics lab course. This study was anexperiment employed a posttest-only control group design. The subjects werestudents of the Diploma Three (D-3) Program of the Electronic EngineeringDepartment of FT UNM, divided into two treatment groups. Group A,consisting of 20 students, received the treatment of the immediate feedback andGroup B, consisting of 19 students, received the treatment of delayed feedback.The data on the students? mastery of lab materials were collected throughobservations using a performance assessment form. The data were analyzedusing the t-test. The results showed that the practicum performance of thestudents receiving immediate feedback was better than that of the studentsreceiving delayed feedback. Abstract

Pengembangan Media Ajar Interaktif Berbasis “Wii-Mote” untuk Mendukung Laboratorium Virtual pada Mata Pelajaran Elektronika Digital di SMK. Laboratorium virtual dikembangkan menggunakan langkah-langkah yang dimulai dari analisis kebutuhan mengenai kelengkapan peralatan praktikum yang ada di SMK, dan dengan memperhatikan aspek-aspek metodologis laboratorium virtual. Integrasi metodologi virtual dilakukan melalui arsitektur yang meliputi studio room, user interface, simulation modelling, interactive tools, visual representation, virtual workspace, dan authoring tools. Laboratorium virtual yang dikembangkan bersifat aplikatif, komunikatif, interaktif, dan mampu mengembangkan keterampilan berfikir kritis. Keefektifan penggunaan laboratorium virtual menunjukkan rerata skor keseluruhan hasil penilaian dinilai sangat baik.Kata kunci: elektronika digital, laboratorium virtual

Abstract

E-Learning adalah salah satu media pembelajaran yang penting bahgi mahasiswa. Dimana E-learning terdiri dari berbagai macam media dan aplikasi, baik untuk sumber belajar, sharing, maupun interaksi sosial melalui jaringan internet. Untuk itu perlu untuk diterapkan sebuah model HCI (Human Computer Interaction) kedalam website agar E-learnig dapat lebih interaktif. Aspek-aspek interaksi yang diperlukan dalam menjalankan sebuah aplikasi pada komputer sehingga terjadi komunikasi, aspek tersebut terdiri atas: a)Use and context of computers ( U); b) Human characteristic (H); c) Computer system and interface architectur (C); d) Development proses ( D). Saat membangun website E-Learning, terlabih dahulu harus memperhatikan: 1) peta potensi SDM yang ada, akan lebih baik bila kita mampu memanfaatkan SDM yang ada apakah itu untuk dunia pendidikan, bisnis maupun pengetahuan dab berita untuk membangun website ang bagus; 2) kemampuan Human Computer Interface, yakni kekmampuan interaksi antara user dengan website E-learning.

Abstract

AbstrakProses praktikum merupakan salah satu faktor yang penting dalam menunjang keberhasilan siswa dalam mengikuti proses kegiatan belajar mengajar serta dapat meningkatkan keterampilan siswa. Beberapa mata pelajaran produktif dan kejuruan selain harus mengetahui konsep dasar dan teori-teori penunjangnya, juga harus dilakukan praktikum di laboratorium untuk memahami tentang konsep tersebut atau teori-teori dasar yang telah dipelajari oleh siswa agar mempunyai tingkat pemahaman yang lebih luas.Salah satu bentuk Media ajar yang dapat mengatasi permasalahan yang terjadi pada laboratorium adalah melalui pendekatan lingkungan virtual (Virtual Learning). Integrasi metodologi Bahan Ajar multimedia dengan pendekatan Virtual Environment dalam proses praktikum dilakukan melalui arsitektur dan organisasi yang ada pada laboratorium simulasi yang meliputi studio room, user interface, virtual simulation modelling, interactive tools, visual representation, virtual workspace, dan authoring tools. Karakteristik Bahan Ajar multimedia dengan pendekatan Virtual Environment yang dikembangkan adalah bersifat aplikatif, komunikatif, dan interaktif.Kata Kunci: Media Ajar, Praktikum, VLEAbstractThe lab is one of the important factors in the success of students in participating in the process of learning and to improve the skills of students. Some productive and vocational subjects in addition to having to know the basic concepts and theories supporting, should also be performed laboratory experiments to understand the concept or basic theories that have been studied by students in order to have a better understanding luas.Salah level one form of media teaching that can overcome the problems that occur in the laboratory is through a virtual environment approach (Virtual Learning). Integration of Multimedia Instructional Materials methodology to approach the Virtual Environment in the lab process is done through the existing architecture and organization in laboratory simulations which include studio room, the user interface, virtual simulation modeling, interactive tools, visual representation, virtual workspace, and authoring tools. Characteristics of Multimedia Instructional Materials with a Virtual Environment developed approach is to be applied, communicative, and interactive.Keywords: Media Teaching, Practice, VLE
