Abstract

Letusan gunung Merapi pada tangga1 22 November 1994, menurut seksi Penyelidikan Gunung Merapi (POM) tidak terjadi secara mendadak. Tanda-tandanya sudah terbaca sejak 7 bulan sebelumnya. Awan panas atau nuee ardente telah mengakibatkan jatuhnya korban sebanyak 50 orang lebih. Letusan Gunung Merapi mempunyai ciri khas yaitu ditandai dengan longsoran kubah lava yang diikuti pertumbuhan kubah lava berikutnya. Keadaan ini telah berlangsung sejak 200 hihgga 300 tahun yang lalu. Lava Merapi bersifat liat sehingga dapat mengakibatkan terbentuknya sumbat lava. Seperi sifat bencana alam pada umumnya, letusan Merapi telah mengakibatkan perubahan pada bentang lahan. Untuk mengetahui bagaimanakah keadaan dan perkiraan ekosistem bentang lahan daerah bencana itu di masa yang akan datang, maka pedulah dilakukan prognosis. Prognosis berarti peramalan senega bentang lahan dan basil di masa depan, serta akibat dari dampak alami yang terjadi pada bentang lahan tertentu. Unsur-unsur ekosistem bentang lahan yang dibahas dalam prognosis ini ialah: (1) iklim, (2) geologi, (3) geomorfologi, (4) tanah, (5) air, (6) vegetasi dan (7) pengaruh manusia. Dari hasil prognosis diperkirakan keadaan ekosistem bentang lahan daerah bencana akan kembali seperti semula setelah 15 tahun kemudian dihitung dari saat terjadinya letusan. Bencana letusan telah mengubah ekesistem bentang lahan. Untuk tumbuhan tingkat rendah, seperti jamur, lumut dan rumput-rumputan dalam waktu 6 bulan diperkirakan sudah akan tumbuh.

Abstract

Sebagai akibat dari pembangunan, saat ini per­tumbuhan pemukiman baru di Kotamadya Malang banyak mengubah lahan subur menjadi kawasan pemukiman sehingga lahan di sekitar jalur jalan raya (arteri) umumnya menjadi incaran para investor untuk dikembangkan menjadi kawasan permukiman. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemiringan lahan dan jalur jalan kolektor serta jalan arteri terhadap pertumbuhan permukiman baru di Kotamadya Malang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah membandingkan peta kelas kemiringan lereng, peta jaringan jalan, dan peta penyebaran permukiman baru di Kotamadya Malang pada skala yang sama. Sampel penelitian adalah permukiman baru yang ada di Kotamadya Malang dan penentuannya dilakukan secara area sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa permukiman baru di Kotamadya Malang yang menempati kawasan topografi miring (lereng kelas ll) seluas 150,14 hektar atau sekitar 55,75 %; lereng berbukit (lereng kelas N) seluas 32,81 hektar atau 12.18 %, paling sempit di antara kelas lereng yang ada. Jarak terjauh permukiman baru terhadap jalan kolektor adalah 1,5 kilometer, sedangkan jarak terdekat adalah 0,1 kilometer, yaitu permukiman Bukit Hijau Permai. Adapun jarak rata-rata permukiman baru terhadap jalan kolektor terdekat ialah 0,57 kilometer. Dari analisis peta diketahui bahwa kawasan yang kepadatan jalannya rendah jarang dijumpai permukiman baru, tetapi tersedianya jalan, walaupun kondisinya jelek akan mendorong dibangun permukiman.

Abstract

The problem solve of unstable dimensions wood fruits and susceptible wood from termites attack was an attempt preservation of wood by acetylation. The research purposes were to knew the effect of wood variety and acetic acid concentration to retention value, to evaluated the Weight Percent Gain (WPG) and dimention stability, and to evaluated durability from attack termite based on laboratory dan grave yard test. Some kind of wood such as kemiri, durian, and manggis woods were treated by soaking during 2 weeks with acetic acid concentration of 10%, 15%, 20%, and 25%. The results showed that high retention on kemiri wood with concentration of 25% was 7.73 gr/cm3. Durian wood in concentration of 15% had WPG value (44.41%) was good dimention stability (67.8%). The increasing of acetic acid concentration caused the increasing of retention and wood resistance from termite attack in laboratory and grave yard test. Abstract

The utilization of fruit woods increased according of increasing human needs. Several weakness of fruit woods were bad dimensional stability and susceptible wood from termite attack. Preservation can improve the dimensional stability and increase the wood from termite attack. One preservation method of was acetylation. The research purpose were to known the effect of rambutan, cempedak and rambai woods variety and acetic acid concentration to retention value, to evaluated the dimention stability and Weight Percent Gain and to evaluated durability from attack termite based on graveyard test and laboratory test. Some kind of wood such as rambutan, cempedak and rambai woods were treated by soaking during 2 weeks with acetic acid concentration of 10%, 15%, 20% and 25%. The results showed the effective retention on rambai wood with concentration of 20% was 3.81%. The high dimention stability ASE on rambutan wood with concentration of 15% was 73.37%, and the high WPG on rambai wood with concentration of 25% was 46.66%. The increasing of acetid acid concentration caused the increasing retention and wood resistance from termite attack in graveyard test and laboratory test. Abstract

The success of lesson study as an approach for teacher professional development in improving students’ learning has inspired the works on microteaching lesson study which is designed for student teachers in microteaching course. Some studies show that microteaching lesson study brought about positive result to student teachers’ pedagogical ability and content knowledge. However, that microteaching lesson study influences student teachers in their teaching internship, that is the course taken after microteaching where student teachers teach real students in real schools, has not been revealed yet. This study aims at exploring the influence of microteaching lesson study on the English as a Foreign Language (EFL) student teachers in teaching internship and to what extent the influence was to promote the EFL student teachers’ life-long learning to teach. It is a qualitative study with semi-structured group interview as the instrument of the research. The subject of the study was ten EFL student teachers who voluntarily participated in the study from twenty two student teachers. They had enrolled in a microteaching class that applied microteaching lesson study in the sixth semester and then took the teaching internship in the seventh semester. The finding of the study indicates that microteaching lesson study has considerably influences most of the EFL student teachers in gaining life-long learning to teach as they already implemented the steps of microteaching lesson study in their teaching internship initiatively. Finally, this study recommends teacher educators to adapt lesson study in microteaching course that can make the EFL student teachers to keep learning to teach.

Abstract

Social interaction is a communication process that connects human interpersonal relationship among people. Each communication process must build a communication model that becomes an individuals or groups identity. Communication activities have been conducted regularly in the daily life so it needs to be observed, evaluated and corrected, especially related to its communication models.The research describes the communication process among kiai, ustadz (teachers), and santri (students) of TMI Al-Amien in 24-hour-activities, formal and non-formal activities. The method of the research is descriptive qualitative with phenomenological approach. It analyzes the communication process using the transaction, transmission, ritual, expressive, publicity and reception models.The result of analysis includes the two models of communication among kiai, ustadz (teachers), and santri (students): first, in the process of new students acceptance, Friday dialog program, and student conseling, the communication is modeled as two-direction communication dealing DeVitos communication model, second, in Perlantasi program, the communication model used is one-direction communication dealing with Harold Dwight Lasswells communication model.Keyword : Social Interaction, Communication Pattern, Pondok Pesantren

Abstract

The aims of these researchs were to found the extract content of Allium cepa L.,                to evaluated weight lost of paper disc, to evaluated the toxicity level of Allium cepa L. extracts based on mortality rates and to evaluated feeding rate value. Research was done by extracting       a sample with methanol then partitioning with n-Hexane. Extract with concentration of 2%, 4%, and 6% were used to test the toxicity of extract for Coptotermes curvignathus termites. The results showed extract content of Allium cepa L. was 16,62%. Termite mortality rate was 100% with concentration  2% and 4% on day 7th while the concentration of 6% on day 5th. So extract with the large concentration had higher mortality of termite than the lower. The weight lost of paper disc     was around 3,72%–11,04% and feeding rate of termite was around 0,25 mg–0,73 mg. Abstract

The aims of these research were to know the extract content of saga seed shell, to evaluated weight lost of cellulose paper, to evaluated mortality of termites and to evaluated termites consumption. Research was done by extracting sample with methanol then partitioning with n-hexane. Concentrated extractive  of 2%, 4%, and 6% were used the toxic test of the termite Coptotermes curvignathus. The Result showed that extract content  of saga seed shell was 15.82%. Mortality with concentration of 2%, 4% and 6% were not significantly so the concentration of 2% was effective, eficien and happened in 6th day. The tendency showed that increasing concentration of extract caused decreasing of weight lost of cellulose paper and consumption of termites. The percentage weight lost of cellulose paper was 3.88%–11.04% and consumption of termite was 0.26–0.73 mg. The extract with concentration of 2% was effective based of evaluated from mortality, weight lost of cellulose paper and rate consumption of termites. AbstractBerbicara  mengenai  pengertian  Korporasi maka  kita  tidak bisa  melepaskan    pengertian  tersebut   dari   bidang  hukum perdata. Apa sebab ?  Karena  Korporasi   terminology  merupakan  terminologi  yang  erat  kaitannya  dengan  badan  hukum (Rechtspersoon) dan badan  hukum  itu  sendiri  merupakan terminology yang  erat  kaitannya   dengan  bidang  hukum  perdata.Korporasi   sebagai pelaku  tindak  pidana pencemaran lingkungan hidup,  dalam  hukum positip  sudah  diakui, bahwa  korporasi  dapat dipertanggungjawabkan  secara  pidana,  dan  dapat  dijatuhkan pidana. Di negeri  Belanda   untuk menentukan korporasi  sebagai pelaku  tindak pidana harus terlebih dahulu didasarkan  pada Arrest “Kleuterschool Babbel” yang   menyatakan bahwa  perbuatan  dari  perseorangan/orang  pribadi dapat  dibebankan kepada  Badan Hukum/Korporasi,  apabila  perbuatan-perbuatan tersebut  tercermin dalam  lalu-lintas  sosial  sebagai perbuatan dari  Badan Hukum, lalu bagaimana di Indonesia untuk korporasi yang melakukan tindak pidana pencemaran lingkungan hidup.Perundang-undangan  di Indonesia  untuk  menentukan pertanggungjawaban pidana  suatu korporasi  dapat  dilihat  pada  Pasal  15  ayat  (2) Undang-Undanmg Tindak Pidana Ekonomi dengan  mengunakan  peraturan yaitu  pertama berdasarkan hubungan  kerja  atau  hubungan  lain, kedua  berdasarkan  bertindak  dalam lingkungan  badan  hukum.

Abstract

Translating metaphors is unique and specific. It needs an extraordinary skill and knowledge because it is different from translating ordinary texts. Translators of metaphors should pay attention to not only the meaning but also the context and culture of both source text and target text. Translating a metaphor is not just transferring the meaning but replacing the metaphor itself into the target language culturally and contextually accepted. It is suggested that translator can use semantic translation method when he or she translates metaphors, reproduces the same metaphors, replaces metaphors with metaphors or translate metaphors by similes.
