Abstract

Pekalongan is one of the batik cities in Central Java, many batik SMEs thrive in Pekalongan. Batik SMEs indicated a cause of environmental pollution that occurred in the city of Pekalongan. Pollution caused by the use of chemicals in the dyeing process. This study aims to measure the eco-costs and eco-efficiency rate of batik products, as well as looking for suggestions on improving eco-efficiency. Eco-efficiency rate is measured by using LCA (Life Cycle Assess-ment) doped with SimaPro software. This method is used to evaluate the environmental impacts arising from the use of the constituent materials. The results of the data processing show that the value of eco-costs for chemical dye batik is Rp 188,028.32, with eco-efficiency rate is 68.74%. Batik industries are not sustainable and affordable. Economizing of the resourcing and applying cleaner production can be accomplished to enhance the eco-efficiency rate. Cleaner production can be achieved using natural dyes and implement End of Life strategies.

Abstract

Online bussiness can not be seperated from Customer Relationship Management (CRM). CRM strategies that heavily rely on the use of technology enhance producers’ knowledge about their consumers. According to the acquired knowledge, producers are able to improve and customize their interactions with their consumers, and thus this will create a long-term a long term relationship between producers and their respective consumers. This paper aims at analyzing the causal effect of the use of strategic CRM on marketing outcomes (CRM). The selected sample is based on a group of online batik buyers on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in East Java, for the period June-September 2010. This research employs a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique. The results show that percieved ease of use has a statistically significant effect on perceived usefulness, satisfaction, and usage intention, percieved usefulness significantly affects satisfaction and usage intention, and satisfaction is significant for usage intention.

Abstract

The objective of this paper is to study and explain the effect of innovation on product quality and business performance of small and medium enterprises in East Java. Using a proportional area random sampling and path analysis,five hypotheses were tested, in which two of the hypotheses were rejected. The study shows the impact of innovation on product quality and the impact of product quality on business performance. This shows the need of small and medium enterprises to be innovative and have a high quality of product to succeed in the global competition.

Abstract

Sebagian besar retail elektronik melakukan pengambilan keputusan dalam hal pengontrolan inventori berdasarkan intuisi tanpa dukungan database elektronik yang valid. Hal tersebut sering mengakibatkan terjadinya lost sales, karena tidak ada barang di gudang ketika ada permintaan.  Guna mengatasi permasalahan sistem inventori tersebut, peneliti mencoba mengembangkan Sistem Informasi Inventori yang dapat membantu perusahaan. Sistem informasi yang bersifat web-based membuat staff di masing-masing bagian dapat melihat tingkat stok yang akurat di tiap gudang. Manfaat yang dirasakan terutama bagi pemilik/owner yaitu mendapat perkiraan demand di masa mendatang melalui peramalan serta memperoleh usulan bagaimana mengontrol persediaan melalui tingkat safety stock, reorder point, quantity, dan frekuensi pesan yang disarankan. Kata kunci :  inventori,  peramalan, web-based, sistem informasi, retail elektronik   Abstract Most electronics retailers make decisions in terms of inventory control based on intuition without a valid electronic database support. This often resulted in lost sales, as no goods in the warehouse when there is demand. To overcome the problems of inventory system, researchers are trying to develop Inventory Information System that can help the company. Information systems that are web-based to make staff in each section can see accurate stock levels at each warehouse. Perceived benefits, especially for owners / owner that gets the estimated future demand through forecasting and obtaining suggestions how to control inventory through level safety stock, reorder point, quantity, and frequency of the message suggested. Abstract

Loading docks must be located for easy access by service vehicles and should be separate from public entrancesto the building, public spaces, and other light industrial or warehouse zones. However, it is also important thatthey are designed to ensure the safety and security of their users and the users of other nearby spaces. Thisresearch would be tryied to design the schedule of arrival time and cycle issue in the part preparation. To reducemaximum inventory, this research have been determinated level stock. Abstract

Load Oriented Manufacturing Control (LOMC) is an input-output control system development thatconsidered work load in every work center. Production planning starts with determining production leadtime, then work load control (WLC). WLC consist of defining criteria and determining release procedure tothe shop floor for items that will be processed. This research tried to implement LOMC concept in afurniture company called PT.X. The result of the research showed that LOMC could improve throughputand minimize work in process (WIP).

Abstract

Salah satu kunci kompetitif sebuah perusahaan make to order adalah ketepatan dalam pemenuhan waktu penerimaan pesanan pada konsumen yang telah dijanjikan perusahaan ( received date). Penentuan received date yang selama ini dilakukan oleh JI  kurang tepat karena hanya memperkirakan waktu sekitar 10 – 12 minggu tanpa mempertimbangkan faktor produksi. Penelitian ini merancang received date dengan model load-oriented manufacturing control dimana penentuan received date didasarkan pada perhitungan manufacturing lead time yang mempertimbangkan waktu pengiriman order ke konsumen, kapasitas yang tersedia pada tiap stasiun kerja, waktu proses pada stasiun kerja dan aliran produksi di lantai produksi. Hasil validasi perhitungan  penentuan received date order sesuai  dengan sistem produksi PT JI dan lebih valid dibanding sistem awal. Kata kunci : make to order, received date, manufacturing leadtime, load-oriented manufacturing control  One of the competitive key of a make to order company is the accuracy in fulfilling orders which has been promised by the company towards the consumers (received date). Determining received date which has been applied by JI recently is not sufficient because it only predicts 10-12 weeks of time without considering production factors. This research designs received date with load-oriented manufacturing control model where determining received date is based on calculating manufacturing lead time that considers the time needed to deliver orders to the consumer, capacity available for each work station, work station process time, and production flow within the production floor.  Validation results from the calculations for determining received date order is adjusted to PT JI  production system and is more valid than the first system. Abstract

Sebagai suatu sistem kompleks yang memiliki tanggung jawab pelayanan besar pada seluruh pelanggan, PT PLN dituntut untuk terus memperhatikan kebutuhan pelanggan dengan memiliki tingkat adaptasi yang baik agar dapat merespon perubahan – perubahan yang terjadi pada lingkungannya. Call center 123 merupakan suatu lokasi terpusat yang ada di PT PLN dimana suatu group agent atau representasi dari suatu perusahaan berinteraksi dengan pelanggannya melalui suatu fasilitas incoming outgoing calls. Sistem yang ada saat ini menunjukkan adanya ketidakseimbangan antara jumlah pengaduan dengan jumlah armada. Dengan jumlah armada sebanyak 3 unit ternyata tidak mampu mengimbangi jumlah pengaduan yang ada. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan besarnya waktu tunggu layanan yang dapat merugikan pelanggan. Pada kasus ini, penelitian dikhususkan pada pengaduan di Wilayah Semarang Tengah. Sistem layanan pada wilayah ini, terdapat 3 buah armada dengan 2 orang petugas di tiap armadanya. Ketiga armada tersebut dibagi ke 3 daerah di wilayah Semarang Tengah..................................................................................................................................... Penelitian ini mencoba untuk membuat suatu usulan penambahan armada dengan model simulasi untuk mengurangi waktu tunggu layanan. Model simulasi dibuat dengan menggunakan Software Extend. Model alternatif yang dibuat sebanyak 5 model berupa penambahan armada yang masing – masing model menunjukkan performansi berbeda – beda. Dari 5 model yang dibuat, dipilih alternatif ke 4 yaitu dengan penambahan 3 unit armada. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa dengan menambah 3 unit armada mampu mengurangi rata – rata waktu tunggu, dari 9677,48 menit menjadi 34.54 menit. Kata kunci : sistem, layanan, simulasi  As a complex system which has big serving responsibilities to all costumers, PT PLN is chargeable to keep looking at its costumer needs by having good adaptation level so it can responses every change  around the environment. 123 call center is sentralized place ini PLN where a group of agent or a representation from a company interacting with its costumers by infoming outgoing calls facility. The present system shows  that there is an unbalancing between the amount of complaint with the amount of fleet. With 3 armada, its not enough to balance the complaint. This is shown by the bigness of serve quequeing time which can harm customers. In this case, research focused on the complaint in Central Semarang district. Serving system in this district, there are three fleet with two official in each fleet. This three fleed is divided to three region in Central Semarang district.This research try to make a recommendation to add fleet with simulation model to minimalize serve queqeing time. This simulation model is made by Extend Software. Alternative model that was made are five models like adding fleet by which each fleet shows the different performance. From this five models, alternative four was  choosen. The alternative is by adding threefleet unit. The result shows that by adding three fleet unit could reduce the average of waiting time. USULAN SISTEM PEMESANAN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN SERVICE LEVEL PADA SISTEM HEIJUNKA

Abstract

PT X merupakan distributor  yang melayani permintaan suku cadang untuk wilayah Jawa Tengah dan Yogyakarta. Salah satu ukuran kepuasan pelanggan adalah service level.Berdasarkan data perusahaan pada bulan Januari – April 2007, service level global untuk keseluruhan item masih berada dibawah target service level yang ditetapkan oleh perusahaan. Pada penelitian ini diberikan usulan perbaikan pada sistem peramalan dan model pemesanan untuk item kritis, yaitu item 90915-TE001 dan 85214-0A010.Untuk mengatasi fluktuasi demand, peneliti mengusulkan adanya safety stock yang ditentukan berdasarkan besarnya fluktuasi  demand dan target service level yang ingin dicapai. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa model peramalan yang sesuai adalah Holt Exponential Smoothing untuk item 90915-TE001, dan Single Exponential Smoothing untuk item 85214-0A010. Selain itu, perhitungan safety stock dan MIP berdasarkan model usulan,  meningkatkan rata – rata aktual service level hingga 99.38% pada sistem heijunka. Kata Kunci: service level, peramalan, pemesanan heijunka     Abstract   PT X, distributor  wich serves the demand of genuine parts in central java and DIY.As a Distributor Company, PT X has two kinds of responsibilities , to customer as the supplier, to always improve the satisfication of customer. One of satisfication of customer is service level. According to company data from january to april 2007, global service level for all items still stay below the service level target which is decided by company.In this research, given correction suggestion in forecasting system and ordering model for critic items, those are item 90915-TE001 and 85214-OA010. For solving the demand fluctuation, researcher suggests for safety stock that is decided by the value of demand fluctuation and service level target will be reached.From the research, obtained that the suitable forecasting model is Holt Exponential Smoothingfor item 90915-TE001, and Single Exponential Smoothing for item 85214-OA010. Abstract

Lean Manufacturing merupakan pendekatan untuk mengefisienkan system dengan mereduksi pemborosan. Pendekatan ini dilakukan dengan memahami gambaran umum perusahaan melalui aliran informasi dan material di lantai produksi dengan membuat value stream mapping. Aktivitas ini dikelompokkan dalam value added, non value added, dan necessary non value added. Penelitian ini menghasilkan value stream mapping (VSM) perusahaan yang meliputi aliran material dan informasi. Dari VSM diketahui peta aktivitas-aktivitas pemborosan di lantai pabrik. Penelitian ini berhasil merinci besar value-adding activity rata-rata sebesar 50.30%, non value-adding activity sebesar 21.83% dan necessary non value-adding activity sebesar 26.36%. Dari PMEA diketahui nilai RPN terbesar pada aktivitas yang berhubungan dengan jig. Untuk mereduksi pemborosan perlu dilakukan management jig yang lebih baik. Kata kunci: fishbone diagram, FMEA, lean manufacturing, value stream mapping.     Lean Manufacturing is an approach to make system more efficient by reducing waste. This approach is done by understanding the general outlook of company using value stream mapping of information and material flow in production line. These activities are classified by value added activities, non-value added activities, and necessary value added activities. This research delivers value stream mapping (VSM) of company including material and information flow.  VSM shows the map of wasting activities in production line. The result of this research is details of activities, that value-adding activity in average 50.30%, non value-adding activity in average 21.83%, and necessary non value-adding activity in average 26.36 %. FMEA shows that the biggest value of RPN is activity that related to jig. Better jig management need to do to reduce waste.
