Abstract

Capacity of a pump is the fundamental data used in selecting certain pump. The flowing speed of the pump is very useful to determine the pumps capacity for irrigating process. This capacity must fulfill utilizing requirements which focus on two main criteria : 1) total capacity of pumps must provide maximum necessity (necessity on the highest point),  2) those pumps must be able to work efficiently and continously in the fluctuating condition. In order to fulfill the two criteria above it is necessary to use two ore more pumps with same capacity.

Abstract

Environmental Management Effort and Environmental Monitoring Effort are integrated effort to preservefunction of environment. The purpose of this research are : Evaluate effectiveness realization of Environmental Management Effort and Environmental Monitoring Effort at PT. Bumi Sarimas Indonesia (PT.BSI) based onquality of liquid waste variable at Processing of Water Waste Installation. There are BOD, COD, TSS, Fat Oil, Phosphate (PO4), pH, and chemical physical environment of Batang Anai River are BOD, COD, TSS, Fat Oil,Phosphate (PO4), pH, and Temperature. From observation at Processing of Water Waste Installation factory,processing of liquid waste with precipitation through high rise circulation and not yet passed four step, that are:1).Processing of antecedent to dissociation of oil and floatation of fat, 2).Processing the first step for precipitation, 3).Processing the second step to reduce the organic substance, 4).Processing the third step to eliminate dissolve organic components. From the research has been done, can be taken some conclusions, that are: Effectiveness at Processing of Water Waste Installation is 49,86% to BOD, 47,19% to COD, 58,45% to TSS, 65,06% to Fat Oil, and 28,34% to Phosphate (PO4).At chemical physical environment of Batang Anai river, the result one sample parameter of t-test BOD, COD, Fat Oil, Phosphate (PO4) at downstream outlet of liquid waste different with reality or above standard boundary sill of environment. The result of a pair t-test shows degradation of real quality.
