Abstract

Pneumatics has a reat role in modern industries. Actually, this branch of knowlesge can be applied not only in industrial sectors. This control systen can be used in many aspects which apply the mobilicing and controlling activities, such as the electric control system and hydrolic control system. Based on this phenomena. The pneumatics can be used to open and to close the shifting door. For that necessary to achieve basic knowledge about is science which includes several aspects, for example, jource of motor, symbol and function of pneumatic components, air flow diagram, designing diagram of control series as well as its mechanisin. In order to avoid that door closes directly while its opening process is reaching maximal point, it is very useful in delaying t;lhe closing process of that door for several periods. That components is well known as the delaying valves. Opening and closing systems of a shifting door can be controlled from two controlling sides : from inside and outside of that door.

Abstract

Penggunaan pegas daun biasanya ditemukan industri transportsi, terutama transportasi darat. Sejalan dengan perkembangan transportasi itu sendiri, industri yang mengkhususkan diri pada masalah pegas daunpun muncul. Salah satu permasalahn diidentifikasi adalah pegas daun tersebut patah. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk menemukan pengaruh media pendingin seperti air asin, minyak dan air dalam proses pendinginan perlakuan panas dan penurunan temperature pada bagian pegas daun yang disambungkan dengan pengelasan SMAW, untuk mendapatkan kekuatan hasil pengelasan. Suatu uji tarik dilakukan untuk memperoleh data dari setiap perlakuan. Hasil uji tarik material yang mengalami pendinginan temperatur perlakuan panas adalah yield strength meningkat 7 % dan tensile strength  16%, tetapi elongation berkurang 22%.

Abstract

In the recent years, almost every house has domestic refrigerator which still use CFC-12 refrigerant as the fluid. When the leakage happen, the refrigerant causes the damage of ozone such as forming the Ozone side then radiation of ultra violet from the sun ray in high intensity reach the surface on each directly and it is dangerous for the human life. The Hydrocarbon refrigerant (HCR-12) is considered as one of alternative, which is environmentally friendly, more energy to save and without modification, to replace the CFC-12.This research compare the performance of household refrigerator using the CFC- 12 refrigerant and HCR-12 without the modification of refrigerator. The result shown from the COP, that the refrigerators work for both of refrigerant is relatively the same and the quality of the ice product from HCR-12 is better than CFC-12, because the amount of the energy which is absorbed by HCR-12 during the evaporation process is bigger than CFC- 12. Analyzing the amount of refrigerant weight full filled to refrigerator, HCR-12 only uses 40 % from CFC-12,If the price of both refrigerant is the same, the use of HCR-12 is profitable than the use of CFC-12.

Abstract

In conventional engine there is a firing system which controlled mechanically by engine. This system thoroughly affected the consumption of the fuel. The main problem for user of 5K Toyota Kijang type is the big amount of fuel consumption. The aim of this paper is discuss about Coil< Distributor, Distributor cable, Spare plug, the error of setting, and improved the predictive maintenance method. Predictive maintenance with Changing the coil is giving the best result in fuel consumption (II condition, 1600 rpm, 0,15 kghour fuel consumption). The fixing of the firing system can make a saving in the fuel consumption at condition V, 1000 rpm, around 11, 04 %. The failure of the firing system component will block the high voltage current to combustion chamber that affect the combustion process. The Failure of the firing system component can make the engine blackout and have a big consumption of fuel. The conclusion is we should apply the inspection base maintenance strategy or predictive maintenance.

Abstract

Additing the  lubricant with a kind of oil treatment often occur at mechanical workshop for automotive. Mechanics assume this idea to spare the requiring fuel. To test the idea, we arrange an experiment which using a car Jimmi CJ 80 which the fuel tank of the car had modified. This tank can show volume of bensin which had used by the car. The experiment have two kind of idea. The first, the car use mesran super SAE 20 W 50. And the second, the car use the mixing of oil treatment and mesran super SAE 20 W 50 lubricant. This experiment arrange in 24 sample for the first idea and also 24 sample for the second idea. Resume of this research are the first experiment has 2440,75 second average of operation time and the other 244,75 second, which mean the experiment had only 0,04 second difference of operation time. Acording to the experiment, we can say there is no influence of the mixing lubricant and oil treatment in fuel saving.
