Abstract

Breast feeding evaluation study in District of Barru in 1998, showed that about 99,0% infants and under five years old children is still breastfed. However, the newborn babies were not breastfed during the first hour but instead were breastfed in the first day (40,6%), second day (18,4%), and the third day (41,0%). Generally, the colostrum is given to newborn infant (83,2%) and most of the infant are breastfed (99,0%), but about 75% of the infant are given the prelacteal feeding. This research aimed to understand breastfeeding behavior in Pekkae community, at Tenete Rilau district, Barru regency. This study was conducted in a qualitative approach setting using ethnological and symbolic interactions approaches. Ethnological paradigm was used to understand mother’s behavior based on significant others and generalized other. There were 13 respondents involved in this study consisting of breastfeeding mothers living in Pekkae village, Barru regency. The result of this study showed that the behavior on breastfeeding closely associated with a cultural belief so – called ‘siri’, which is one of the important buginese cultures inspiring the buginese social livelihood. The behavior of buginese mothers from pregnancy until birth and breastfeeding can be considered as ‘significant others’ and ‘generalized others. This behavior is also attributed to ‘ininnawa madeceng’ (good hope) from the parents so that their children may become good people based on buginese normative culture. Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship of marketing mix with decisions in choosing health service at Faisal Islamic Hospital. This type of research used quantitative with cross sectional approach. Samples of this research were patients in the inpatient installation as many as 205 respondents was determined by simple random sampling. The data collecting of this research using questionnaire. The results showed that there is a relationship marketing mix are product (p = 0.001), price (p = 0.001), where (p = 0.046), promotion (p = 0.005), men / health professionals (p = 0.002), process (p = 0.003), and physical appearance (p = 0.039) with decision to choose health service inpatient unit of Faisal Islamic Hospital Makassar. Through this research, Faisal Islamic parties should increasing the hospital services by providing the best service so the patient who feel satisfied and will re-select the existing health services in Faisal Islamic Hospital  Makassar.

Abstract

Decreased patients visit in RSIA Pertiwi Makassar closely related to the health care provided hospitals and how hospitals serving patients. Thus, the hospital managers should consider the seven elements of the marketing mix are product, price, place, promotion, people, physical evidence and the process. This is the earliest stimulus affects consumer behavior before going through various stages or processes until eventually decided to recover some hospital services. This research aims to determine the relationship between marketing mix and patients visit in RSIA Pertiwi Makassar. This type of research was quantitative research with used survey form by using cross sectional approach. To obtain data in the field conducted by distributing questionnaires to 98 respondents who currently check their health in an outpatient unit. Based on research results indicate that there is a relationship between the product (product and services), place (location service), promotion (promotional marketing communications) and people (health workers), physical evidence (physical appearance) and process (process/service procedures) to visit patients in RSIA Pertiwi Makassar. This study suggests to the RSIA Pertiwi Makassar should do marketing mix elements. in terms of products, although still not complete but the amount that needed to be added. There should be other promotions such as direct promotion of the hospital staff or through print media (newspapers), television advertising. In terms of physical facilities, need to pay attention to the condition of cleanliness of the room and WC patient hospitalization. Service process there needs to be discipline and promptness of service and the firmness of the hospital management to health professionals serving.

Abstract

Nursing services in the hospital are the main factor to decide the health service quality.The society need good quality of health services,because of that,the nurses have to improve their performance optimally.The purpose of the study is to analyze the factors that influence the  nurses performance at The Third Hospital of 16.06.01 in the city of Ambon. The method of the research is a survey analytical research using cross-sectional approach to find out the correlation between competency,job satisfaction,motivation,supervision and leadership with the nurses performance at the same time. The research instrument  is a questionairre. The result shows that there is a significant correlation between job satisfaction (p= 0.000,r=1000) with nurses’ performance and supervision factors (p=0.039,r= -0.635) with nurses’ performance. But there is not a relation between the competency (p= 0.599,r= 0.190) with nurses’ performance ,motivation (p= 0.615,r= 0.180) and leadership (p= 0.946,r= -0.024) and the nurses’ performance. The result of  regression analysis shows there are no correlation between competency,job satisfaction,motivation,supervision and leadership with the nurses’ performance simultanously (p= 0.007). The result of the second  regression analysis shows that there are correlation  between job satisfaction(p= 0.001,B=0.588)  and supervision (p= 0.019,B= -0.347) and the job satisfaction has dominant influence to the nurses performance. This research show that there are correlation between job satisfaction  and supervision with the nurses performence. It is recommended that the hospital should focus on the nurses’ job satisfaction and nursing supervision. Keywords:  competency, job satisfaction, motivation, supervision, leadership , performance, nurse.

Abstract

This article present the study about policy tackling the poorness and hunger in Indonesia by various reality and study. Basically poorness can be defined simply and also in wide meaning. Reality of poorness and hunger in Indonesia, indicating that though year 2015 closer, still need some evaluation because of its attainment still vary from which have been reached, will be reached, not yet been reached, and need the special attention. Various policy in overcoming poorness and hunger in Indonesia have to be executed by various sector with the support of various party. Obloquy to poorness during the time is the lack of the understanding of impecunious resident characteristic, do not relate at real problems faced by the impecunious society, being based on individual and do not have continuation. Some area need the serious handling in poorness and starvation. Learn from other, dissimilar state represent one of option  in overcoming starvation and poorness

Abstract

This research aims to find out the amount of economic loss due to five diseases in the Regional Public Hospital of Mamuju.This study was conducted as an observasional study with the descriptive approach.The population included inpatients suffering from five diseases. The samples were inpatients of productive suffering from five diseases. Sampling was conducted by using the simple random sampling. This study reveals that the amount of direct cost for inpatients is Rp. 40,911,900 with an average of Rp. 545,492 per day.  The disease with the greatest direct cost is pulmonary TB (Rp. 11,833,000) with an average of Rp. 739.563 per patient. The amount of indirect cost is Rp. 50,672,000 with an average of Rp. 3.462,916 per patient. For indirect expenses, the highest cost is spent by pulmonary TB patients with Rp. 15,410,000, the lowest is spent by Malaria patients with Rp. 5,120,000. The amount of income loss is Rp. 90,000,000. The highest income lost is suffered by patients with pulmonary TB (Rp. 78,720,000), while the lowest is for patients with malaria (Rp. 8,400,000). The total economic loss suffered by patients is Rp. 181,583,900. The highest economic lossis for patients with pulmonary TB with Rp. 105,963,000; while the lowest one is for patients with malaria (Rp. 16.930,500). The highest mortality level is in pulmonary TB (9 people). The number of year lost due to death is 1889, and the lost of economic value is Rp. 27,345,600,000. Economic loss due to illness and premature death is the highest in pulmonary TB with Rp. 27,424,320 pulmonary: and the lowest GEA is Rp. 405,600,000.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to analyze the process of drug management involving planning, supply, receipt, storage, distribution, recording of reporting, evaluation and drug removal in Regional Public Hospital Anutapura in Palu city. The results reveal that planning process is already in accordance with hospitals’ procedure operational standard with consumption method. The selection of the types of drug is not always appropriate because the case of diseases and patients’visit could not be predicted. Supply process refers to President Regulation Number 95 The year 2007 with direct purchase method. The unsuitability of acceptance is caused by unavailability of drugs in distributor level. Storage process is not in line with rules because the condition of storage is not qualified. The distribution process is line with a prescription system and room supply. Drug distribution based on prescription is not completely served because the availability of prescription formulation of drugs is not appropriate. Evaluation is not maximal and one of them is name stock done at the end of each year.

Abstract

Despite an increase in the number of visits, but still found some problems that occur in the hospital outpatient Unhas installation, as there are still a few examination that can not be done in RS Unhas (product marketing mix) and delay until the patient status at each clinic services so sometimes for patients treated late (marketing mix process). This study aimed to analyze the effect of marketing mix consists of product, price, promotion, place, process, people, and physical facility of the loyalty of patients in outpatient services utilization in hospital Unhas Makassar. The research was conductedd at the Hospital Outpatient Unhas. This research is quantitative survey form with a cross sectional study. Total population is 482 patients which is the average number of patients during the year 2012, with a sample of 83 respondents. Data were collected by using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed with chi square and logistic regression at α=0.05 level. The results based on bivariate logistic regression showed the influence of the marketing mix are product on the loyalty of patients (p = 0.005, Exp.B = 9.714), price on loyalty of patients (p=0.001, Exp.B=14,167), place on loyalty of patients (p = 0.000, Exp.B = 14:00), and process on loyalty of patient (p=0.001, Exp.B = 12,103) and is based on the results of multiple logistic regression analysis showed that the process (ρ=0.005, Exp (B )= 51 384) is the most influential variable on loyalty Hospital outpatient Unhas and Overall Percentage value of 94% which means that as a whole all models of these variables may affect patient loyalty by 94%. So it can be concluded that the marketing mix (product, price, place, process) has an influence on patient loyalty at Hasanuddin University Makassar Hospital.Keywords:  Marketing Mix, Patient Loyalty,Outpatient

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aimed to analyze the implementation of maternity insurance at district health office in Buol regency in 2012. This study was a qualitative study using case study approach. The samples in this study were the parties involved in the implementation of maternity insurance at district health office in Buol regency and at the health center. The sampling was conducted by purposive sampling technique with a sample size of 23 people.The results showed that during the phase of funding: the distribution of funds were lately paid i.e. at the end of 2012; the amount of service rates was 25% deductions for service providers; and for fund management, it was found that the process of verification of the claimed file was very difficult. During the phase of care benefits package in terms of availability of health care, providers became an obstacle in the implementation of the maternity insurance. During the phase of indicator of success in terms of supervision, there was a lack of supervision from the program manager of maternity insurance that opened some problems in the implementation of maternity insurance in Buol district. From this study it can be concluded that the phase of funding, benefits package services, and indicators of success still need attention. This study suggests the District Government of Buol to re-visit the policy decisions regarding the amount of fees that had been set for the implementation of the maternity insurance. To make maternity insurance to be implemented optimally, the midwives need to perform additional services that can be implemented well. Buol’s district health offices is expected to optimize the implementation of maternity insurance by improving the mechanism of disbursement of verification process and increasing the supervision by the program manager of maternity insurance. And for service providers in order to implement the procedures of maternity insurance proccess, they should take into account the condition of the community served.Keywords: Maternity Insurance (Jampersal), Public Health Service, Qualitative
