Abstract

The results of previous studies show that students of Physics Education (S1 and S2), FKIP Syiah Kuala University more than 50% do not understand the programs and roadmap of Pilar ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community as a part of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). The inference of those results to the implementation of learning physics and science education system needs to be implemented through a link and match learning model that can improve the ability to think critically and creatively, and students need to be trained to be problem solvers, not the problem makers.Based on these problems, through this research has been applied physics learning by using Problem Solving strategies on 25 students of Master of Physical Education and Science. At the end of the implementation study measured the ability of students to apply problem-solving strategies in accordance with Answer Sections of Problem Solving adopted from previous research. The results showed that the majority of students (78%) are able to implement the stage I (Focus on Problem) with a complete, almost all respondents (91%) was only able to implement the stage II (Describe the Physics) of about 40%, almost all respondents (91% ) can apply for the stage III (Plan The Solution) approximately 80% of all respondents have been able to implement the stage IV (Excute the Plan) perfectly, and all respondents have been able to apply the stage V (Evaluate the Answer) completely. It is expected that all staff of teaching Science materials (Physics), they are recommended strongly to implement Problem Solving as an alternative strategy for preparing students to face global competition in the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC).

Abstract

The identification of misconception in the Physics or Science learning all this time mostly used the two-tier or three-tier diagnostic test. There were several reasons why both test forms used, such as to make sure whether the students guessed the answers or understood the concepts. Besides, through the use of both tests the students confidence in choosing the answers could be identified. However, there was no explanation or study on the most effective test to identify those misconceptions. The purpose of this study was to know the effect of the one-tier, two-tier and three-tier diagnostics test toward the students answer pattern, confidence level, and understanding on the concept of anatomic nuclear. The respondents which were used in this survey research were 88 the students attending Atomic Nuclear course in Physics Education Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Syiah Kuala University. Some tests were consecutively given to the 88 respondents, the test participants could continue to the next test if they finished all questions in the previous test. The data collection used the instrument of basic Physics preconception test (Tes Pemahaman Konsep Fisika Inti/TPKFI) in the form of one-tier, two-tier and three-tier multiple choice with eight multiple choice items. The test was developed by researchers with difficulty index = 0.35, discrimination index = 0.31, validity= 0.35, and reliability= 0.90. The data analysis result showed that even though the students answer patterns were the same for all types of diagnostic tests, there was a convincing change in the students concept understanding and confidence between the two-tier and three-tier. From this research, it could be inferred that the identification of the students misconception in the Science learning would be better (had high confidence), if the diagnostic test used was higher, that was three-tier, four-tier, and thus on.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the implementation of inquiry-based virtual lab laboratiorium to increase student motivation and creativity of students in simple harmonic motion of matter. The method used is the method of the control experiment with the design of the control group pre-test post-test. The study population was all students of class XI-IA, amounting to 180 people, and that the sample is class XI-4 as an experimental class IA and class XI-IA 1 as grade control at the school SMAN 5 Banda Aceh 2013/2014 school year. Data was collected using a form of written test of 20 multiple choice questions about done with the pre-test and post-test, student worksheets and questionnaires motivation and creativity of the student questionnaire. The results showed that the learning is done by using inquiry-based virtual lab laboaratorium. With the practical implementation of inquiry-based virtual laboratory has demonstrated that increasing students creativity in the material simple harmonic motion with mastery of concepts that are at 76.7% category and 23.3% higher category, the practical implementation of inquiry-based virtual laboratory can an increase student motivation in simple harmonic motion of matter. With the mastery of concepts that berkategorikan being, as well as 66% of student motivation is high enough and the remaining 34% is very high motivation.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa, aktivitas guru dan siswa, kemampuan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran dan respon siswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran generatif.Jenis Penelitian ini adalah penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dan pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan statistik deskriptif.Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswi kelas IX.4 SMPN 8 Banda Aceh tahun ajaran 2016/2017 yang berjumlah 21 orang.Instrumen pengumpul data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu tes dan non tes.Instrumen tes dalam bentuk soal pretest dan posttest, sedangkan instrument non tes dalam bentuk lembar observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa, lembar kemampuan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran dan angket respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran.Keempat instrument non tes tersebut dianalisis menggunakan teknik persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa secara individual dari 57% menjadi 89% dan ketuntasan klasikal juga meningkat dari 60% sampai mencapai 87,5%. Peningkatan juga terjadi pada aktivitas guru dan siswa.Kemampuan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran meningkat dari kategori baik menjadi sangat baik.Selain itu, respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran juga sangat baik sekali dimana 90% siswa menyatakan senang terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran generatif dengan menggunakan laboratorium virtual. Berdasarkan penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran generatif dengan menggunakan laboratorium virtual dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, meningkatkan aktivitas guru dan siswa, meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran pada materi listrik dinamis.Kata kunci: model pembelajaran generatif, virtual laboratorium, hasil belajar AbstractThis study aims to find out the result of  student learning, teacher and student activity, the ability of teachers in managing learning and students response to the application of the generative learning model. This research is a type of class action (PTK) and the approach used in this research is descriptive statistical approach. The subjects of study  were students of class IX.4 SMPN 8 Banda Aceh the school year 2016/2017 totaling 21 people. Data collection instruments used in this study is a test and non test. Test instruments in the form of matter pretest and posttest, whereas the non-test instrument in the form of sheets of teacher and student activity observation, sheets teachers ability in managing  learning and sheet of student responses of learning. The fourth non-test instrument are analyzed using percentages. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes on an individual basis from 57% to 89% and classical completeness also increased from 60% to reach 87.5%. The increase also occurred in the activities of teachers and students. The ability of teachers in managing learning increases from good to be excellent category. In addition, the students response to learning is also very well where 90% of students said he was happy of generative learning model application using the virtual laboratory. Based on this research can be concluded that the application of the generative learning model by using virtual labs can improve student learning results, increasing the activity of teachers and students, increasing the teachers ability in managing learning in a dynamic electrical lesson.Keywords: generative learning model, virtual labs, learning results

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui minat, sikap dan persepsi mahasiswa terhadap pembelajaran fisika ditinjau dari indeks prestasi kumulatif pada mahasiswa program studi pendidikan fisika. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Karena data-data kuantitatif digunakan dalam analisis statistik parametrik dan interprestasi data disajikan dalam bentuk deskriptif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah description research (penelitian deskriptif) dalam bentuk korelasional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh populasi yaitu mahasiswa fisika leting 2013 dan leting 2014, pada penelitian ini pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara pembagian angket, dimana angket dibagikan secara acak kepada 50 orang mahasiswa/i fisika leting 2013/2014. Dalam usaha menjawab hipotesis, maka dalam penelitian ini dilakukan analisis Korelasi Produk Moment (KPM). Setelah koefisien korelasi didapat, kemudian diuji dengan uji statstistik t. Berdasarkan perhitungan uji korelasi yang telah dilakukan antara minat dan IPK terdapat nilai 0,146584, perhitungan uji korelasi antara sikap dan IPK terdapat nilai 0,049005, dan perhitungan uji korelasi antara persespsi terdapat nilai 0,017510. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan analisis korelasi menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara minat, sikap dan persepsi terhadap IPK mahasiswa Universitas Syiah Kuala.Kata kunci: minat, sikap, persepsi dan IPK                                                                             AbstractThe study, titled “Interests, Attitudes and Persespsi Students Againts Physics Education Seen From GPA at Student Physics Education Study Program”. This study aims to determine the interests, attitudes and perceptions of students towards learning physics in term of grade point average on a student of physical education. This study uses a quantitative approach. Because quantitative data used in parametric statistical analysis and interpretation of data presented in descriptive form. This type of research is the description of research (descriptive) in the form of correlation. The sample in this study is the ebtire population is a physics student leting 2013/2014, this research data collection was done by questionnaire division, where questionnaires were distributed randomly to50 students/i physics leting 2013/2014. In an attempt tp answer the hypothesis, so in this study analysis Priduct Moment Correlation (KPM. After the correlation coefficient obtained, then tested by statustical test (t). Based on the calculation of the correlation test was performed between interests and values contained GPA 0,146584, dan calculations correlation between attitudes and 0,017510. The results based  on correlation analysis shows that there is no relationship between the interests, attitudes and perceptions of students GPA Syiah Kuala University.Keywords: Interests, Attitudes, Perception and GPA

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat miskonsepsi siswa pada materi Hukum Newton dan meremediasikan miskonsepsi menggunakan metode eksperimen. Pada jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswi kelas X MIA 3 MAN Darussalam tahun ajaran 2016/2017 yang berjumlah 25 orang. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa soal choice 4 option dengan menggunakan kriteria CRI (certainty Responden Index) dan alasan responden. Sedangkan untuk meremediasikan miskonsepsi menggunakan metode eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya miskonsepsi yang terjadi pada siswa dibuktikan dengan persentase rata-rata hasil yang didapat sebelum melakukan remediasi yaitu, siswa mengalami Tahu Konsep (TK) sebanyak 15,4%, siswa yang mengalami Not Confident (NC) sebanyak 7%, siswa yang mengalami Tidak Tahu Konsep (TTK) sebanyak 30% dan siswa yang mengalami Miskonsepsi (M) sebanyak 44,8%. Dan setelah melakukan remediasi persentase Rata-rata hasil persentase yang didapat setelah melakukan remediasi yaitu siswa mengalami Tahu Konsep (TK) sebanyak 30%, siswa yang mengalami Not Confident (NC) sebanyak 13,6%, siswa yang mengalami Tidak Tahu Konsep (TTK) sebanyak 27%% dan siswa yang mengalami Miskonsepsi (M) sebanyak 25,6%. Berdasarkan penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode eksperimen dapat mengurangi miskonsepsi yang terjadi pada siswa. Peneliti menyarankan; penerapan metode eksperimen pada pembelajaran cukup efektif dalam meminimalisir terjadinya miskonsepsi pada siswa. Guru seharusnya memperkuat konsep awal kepada siswa agar siswa tidak mengalami miskonsepsi berkepanjangan. Untuk peneliti selanjutnya disarankan melakukan identifikasi lebih lanjut mengenai miskonsepsi yang terjadi pada materi fisika yang lain, mengingat sangat banyak materi fisika yang mengalami miskonsepsi seperti pada materi listrik dinamis.Kata Kunci: Identifikasi, remediasi, miskonsepsi, metode eksperimen, Hukum Newton The aims of this study were to determine the level of students misconceptions on Newtons laws, and remediate misconceptions using the experimental method. The type of research was descriptive research. The subjects were students of class X MIA 3, MAN Darussalam, school yearof 2016/2017 totaling 25 people. Data collection instruments used in this research were 4 option multiple choice questions using the CRI criteria (Certainty of Respon Index) and the respondents’ reasoning. To remediate misconceptions, the experimental methodwas used. The results showed that the misconception occured in students proved by the average percentage obtained prior to remediation. The percentage of studentswhounderstoodthe conceptswas 15.4%, the percentage of students who werenotconfidentwas 7%, students who did not understand theconceptswas 30% and students who hadmisconceptions was 44.8%. after remediation, the percentage of students whounderstood the conceptswas 30%, the students who werenotconfidentwas 13.6%, the students who did not understandthe conceptswas 27 % and the percentage of students who had misconceptions was  25.6%. Based on this research, it can be concluded that the experimental method can reduce misconceptions that occur in students. Researcher suggests that the application of the experimental method to learning is quite effective in minimizing the occurrence of misconceptions in students. Teachers should reinforce the initial concept to the students so that students do not experience prolonged misconceptions. For further research, it is suggested to identify more of the misconceptions that occur in other physics topics, considering many who have misconceptions such as on dynamic electricity topic. Abstract

AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran tipe Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas, dengan tiga siklus, dengan setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X-IPA3 MAN Darussalam. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes hasil belajar dan angket aktivitas guru dan siswa. Perolehan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa dengan pencapaian ketuntasan klasikal dari siklus 1 sebesar 70%, siklus 2 sebesar 85%, dan siklus 3 sebesar 95%. Sedangkan aktivitas siswa Pada siklus 1 memperoleh skor 1,89 dengan kategori kurang efektif, pada siklus kedua memperoleh 2,23 dengan kategori efektif, dan pada siklus ketiga memperoleh 2,97 dengan kategori efektif. Sehingga dari penelitian ini di dapatkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran tipe Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa kelas X-IPA3 MAN Darussalam pada materi dinamika partikel. Dalam hal ini, guru perlu dilatih dan membiasakan diri dalam menggunakan model pembelajaran two stay two stray (TSTS) dalam pembelajaran serta dapat melakukan penelitian lebih lanjut sehingga dapat membuat siswa lebih menyukai pelajaran IPA di sekolah, terutama pelajaran fisika.Kata Kunci: Model Kooperatif tipe Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS), Hasil Belajar AbstrackPurpose of Research Singer is to review the findings determine the increase of learning and using with activities Student Learning model Type Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS). Abstract

Pelaksanaan penelitian menggunakan metode the matching-only pretest-posttest control group pada siswa SMA kelas XI. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan ujian pre dan pos terkait dengan pemahaman dan ketrampilan generic sains dan juga menggunakan angket untuk mengetahui responsiswa terhadap penggunaan metode inkuiri.
