SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF PHOTONIC MATERALS SiO2

Abstract

Synthesis and characterization of photonic material SiO2 has been carried out. The aplication of photonic materials in the microelectronics field are promising the data transmission by using opticalwave which can reduce the resistancy significantly. By using the photonic materials, fast signal processing could be achieved and the use of power supply could be decreased. The material was prepared by Stober process which characterized by The X-Ray Diffraction and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). The X-Ray Diffraction and SEM characterization showed that the SiO2 in the form of amorf structure and the shape of particle is sphere with the size about 350 nm. Abstract

SINTESIS DAN KARAKTERISASI MATERIAL FOTONIK SiO2. Telah dilakukan sintesis dan karakterisasi material SiO2 serbuk sebagai bahan dasar material fotonik. Aplikasi material fotonik pada bidang mikroelektronika memungkinkan transmisi data menggunakan gelombang optik sehingga hambatan yang timbul pada proses pengiriman data dapat dikurangi. Material fotonik memberi harapan untuk mempercepat proses pengolahan data dan dapat menurunkan catu daya. Sintesis material fotonik ini dilakukan dengan Proses Stober basah dan karakterisasinya memakai difraksi sinar-X dan Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). Hasil karakterisasi menggunakan sinar-X menunjukkan bahan serbuk SiO2 tersebut strukturnya amorf dan karakterisasi SEM memperlihatkan partikel berbentuk bola dengan ukuran 350 nm.

Abstract

DOUBLE AXIS MODE OF BATAN’S TRIPLE AXIS SPECTROMETER. Triple Axis Spectrometer (TAS), which is an indispensible tool to microscopically probe inelastic scattering processes in condensed matter, has been installed at the Neutron scattering Laboratory of the R & D Center for Materials Science & Technology, BATAN, since 1992. However, the control and data acquisition system have been nonfunctional since 1996. Following an in-house development of the alternative control and data acquisition hardware last year, TAS started to show the capability and reliability of handling the measurement in the double axis mode. This paper reports a double axis mode control and data acquisition software development which benefits from the hardware development.
