Abstract

The objectives of the research was to analyze the influence of price, taste, color, texture and size of imported apple fruit on consumers? preferences and on the purchase of the fruit, and to analyze the influence of attributes to the purchase of the fruit in Hypermart Palu Grand Mall.  The research location was purposively determined in Hypermart considering that itis the largest site where imported fruit are sold in Palu city.  Samples of 50 people were selected using an Accidental Sampling method based on spontaneity factor.  The results of analysis showed that the coefficient of attribute lines of price, taste, color, texture, and size statistically affected the volume of the imported apple sold in the Mall.  The variables (Xi) of price, taste, color, texture and size simultaneously affected the purchase variable (Y) significantly at 87.7% or R2 = 0.877 whereas the effect of other factors not included in this research was 0.123 or 12.3%.  The proportional effects on the fruit purchase for the taste variable was 0.799 or 79.9, the size was 0.023 or 2.3%, the color was 0.021 or 2.1%, the texture 0.016 or 1.6% and the price was 0.019 or 1.9%.Keywords : Consumer Preferences,  and Imported Apple Fruits.

Abstract

The analysis of market structure of Lembah Palu shallot variety was conducted in Sigi Biromaru Sub District of Sigi District. The research methods used were a Simple Random Sampling and a Snow Ball Sampling technique.  Data was analyzed using a market share analysis, a market concentration ratio (CR4) analysis, Herfindahl Hirschman Index (HHI) analysis and a marketing efficiency analysis (margin and farmer?s share). There are four industries dominate the market share of fried shallot of Lembah Palu variety in Sigi regency with MSn (%) of 0.236 for Industry 1, 0.233 for Industry 2, 0.171 for Industry 3 and 0.133 for Industry 4.  All indicates that the four industries have a share of 77.3% for buying the Lembah Palu shallot variety with an oligopsony market structure. The value of HHI was 1.098 suggesting that the oligopsony market is at small competing level with high concentration.  The obstacles faced by marketing agencies to enter the market were businesscapital and price.  The efficiency of marketing channel at channel 1 was 19.956% for its margin and 80.04% for its farmer?s share and at channel 2 19.888% for its margin and 80.11% for its farmer?s share. Keywords : Farmer?s share, Margin, Market concentration, Marketshare, and Obstacles to entering market.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the income of cocoa business in North Lambunu Village, Parigi Moutong Regency. The study was conducted from September to November 2017 in North Lambunu Village Bolano Lambunu Sub-District. Samples were taken as many as 32 people from cocoa farming population of 125 people who work on cocoa farming in North Lambunu Village by Simple Random Sampling method. Data analysis used is income analysis. The amount of respondent's income in cocoa farming can be calculated by using the following formula: Π = TR - TC, average production of 871Kg/Ha/Year, average selling price of Rp. 23.000 /Kg, obtained the average revenue of Rp.20.030.738/Ha/Year and production cost Rp.7.308.167/Ha/Year. The average income of respondents from cocoa farming in North Lambunu is Rp.12.722.571/ Ha/Year.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aimed to determine the level of income of processed milkfish businesses and their development strategy in Lalombi village. Data obtained was gathered through observation, interview, and focus group discusion (FGD). Respondents in this study included all units of processed milkfish business population taken through census method, four people from Marine and Fishery Office of Donggala district of Central Sulawesi Province, the head of Lalombi Village, and an extension worker, a traditional leader.  The result of income analysis of the milkfish business in Lalombi village was IDR 1,116,960/month with the R/C Ratio of 1.77 indicating that the milkfish business is very profitable and feasible to be developed. The result of the SWOT analysis shows that the strategy of milkfish business development in Lalombi village is positioned in the third quadrant supporting WO (Weaknesses-Opportunities) strategy or turnaround strategy. The strategies included such programs as (1) increasing amount of production to meet relatively high demand and (2) optimizing the government support (cultivation, package assistance, counseling, and capital). The QSPM analysis showed that the best program that could be applied to implemented the strategy was the second program "Optimizing Government support (cultivation package assistance, counseling, and capital) in the development of the milkfish business" with the highest total sum of attractive score (TAS) of 4.00. Keywords: Development Strategy, Income, Uncorned Milkfish.

Abstract

This study aims were to: (1) determine the effect of the length of rope stretch, seeds, labor, harvesting time and farming experience on the production of seaweed in Bulagi Dua village Bulagi subdistrict of Banggai Kepulauan district, and (2) determine the income of the seaweed farming in Bulagi Dua village Bulagi sub district of Banggai Kepulauan district. The research used a survey method and sampling was done randomly. The number of samples in this study was 44 families. The results showed that: (1) the length of rope stretch (land area), the number of seeds, labor, and time of harvestingpartially had significant effect whereas the farming experience was not significant on the seaweeds production in Bulagi Dua village Bulagi subdistrict of Banggai Kepulauan district (2) the total revenue earned by the respondents was IDR 10,994,739.36/0.55 ha/planting season equal to IDR 19,710,174.88/ha/planting season. Abstract

The objectives of this research were to analyze strengths, weakness, opportunity and threats faced by cashew agribusiness development; to determine appropriate alternative formulation strategy to develop cashew agribusiness, and to determine prioritized strategy selected for developing cashew agribusiness.  The population of the research was cashew farmers dwelling in Bulagi sub district.  The unit population was purposively determined in Peling Seasa village as it has largest area of cashew plantation as well as largest number of cashew farmers although the plantation productivity is very low.  Respondent samples in this research were 20 people consisting of 18 farmers and 2 field extension officers.  Data were obtained through observations, interviews, and focus group discussion (FGD). The data then was analyzed using SWOT analysis.  The results of the SWOT analysis suggested that the strengths of the cashew agribusiness included (a) agro-ecology, (b) vast land area availability, (c) sufficiently long experience in farming, (d) grow well in marginal land, and (e) sufficient labor availability.  Whereas, opportunity factors were (a) high market demand, (b) forage integration, (c) harvest processing and pseudofruit utilization, (d) government support availability, and (e) increasing pricetrend of dried cashew nut.  The results of SWOT matrix analysis showed that the main strategy implemented is minimizing the weakness factors in order to maximizing the opportunity factors.  Based on the main strategy, activities proposed include: (1) recovering soil fertility through organic fertilizer addition, (2) increasing production through intensification, (3) improving quality and quantity of products through cashew tree rejuvenation and thinning, and (4) enabling the farmers to create various cashew nuts            based products. Keywords: Cashew Nuts, Development Strategy, and Production.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine marketing channels, to identify marketing marginand marketing efficiency of cloves to determinethe portionof clove prices received by farmers in JonoOge village of Sirenja district. The population in this study was all farmers (107 people) who run farming cloves and traders involved in the marketing of cloves. The number of respondents included was 43 farmers and 7 collectors. Data was analyzed using analysis of marketing margins, marketing efficiency and price portions received by farmers. The marketing analysis results showed that there were three marketing channels: (I) Farmers ? Village Collector ?Sub District Collector ? Inter-island Trader; (II) Farmers ?Sub District Collector ? Inter-island trader; and (III) Farmers ? Inter-island Trader. The marketing margin was USD 7,000 for channel I, USD 5,000for channel II, and USD 3,000 for channel III with the farmer's share price of 94.26%, 95.90% and 97.54%, respectively. The channel marketing efficiency for the three channels was 2.59, 2.23 and 1.37, respectively.

Abstract

The research objective ( Analysis the behavior of the price of palm oil CPO (Crude Palm Oil ) on PT. Pasangkayu company . The research was conducted on the Company PT.Pasangkayu December 2014- February 2015. The data analysis is simple regression and correlation analysis . The results of the analysis of price changes cpo in world prices by using simple regression analysis obtained my value = -1.02 + 1,22mx coefficient is real. this is indicated by thitung ( 19.89 ) > t table ( 3.012 ) with a value of 0.000 < 0.01 level of α = 1 % , that the changes in the world price for 1 exchange rate causes changes in the price of the company amounted to 1.22 rate level . correlation analysis is Y and X = 0.991 P -Value = 0.000 , analysis showed that changes in the level of the world price level cpo prices very influential company real . Key words : Price , CPO ,  Correlation .

Abstract

The objective of this research is to find out the maximum production of bread and brownies that must be provided by ‘Syariah Bakery’ home industry in order to obtain the maximum profit by optimalizing limited sources. The research was conducted at ‘Syariah Bakery’ home industry in Tanamodindi regency, Palu Selatan subdistrict, Palu City in February until April 2015. It has four respondents which consisted of the owner and three employees of  ‘Syariah Bakery’ home industry. The result of the research showed that the optimal production of  the home industry was by producing 52, 550  packages of bread, 1, 218 packages of brownies in every month and by optimalizing of 1, 729 kg of wheat flour, employees of 910 day of people work (HOK), 278,79 kg of chocolate powder, and 403 kg of sugar,can obtain maximum profit ofIDR. 36.736.050. Keywords: Linear Programming, Maximization, Syariah Bakery.

Abstract

This research aimed to identify factors affecting the production and the income of wetland rice farming system in Bonemarawa village Riopakava subdistrict of Donggala regency. The determination of respondents was carried out through a Simple Random Sampling Method. The number of samples was 34 people taken from population of 180 people. The analytical tool used was the functional production analysis of Cobb-Douglass and income analysis. The results of analysis showed that the independent variables used in the production inputs i.e.land area, seeds, fertilizers, and labor simultaneously affected the rice production in Bonemarawa village with the    F-count > F-table (119.554 > 4.02) at the 99% confidence level. The income analysis showed     that the average income of the respondent farmers in Bonemarawa was IDR 2,915,947.85/0,68ha/planting season (PS) or IDR 4,288,158.60/ha/PS. Keywords : Income, Production,and Wetland rice.
