Abstract

Kecamatan Gunungpati Semarang memiliki potensi untuk menjadi sentra pertanian kebun buah dan sayur organik salah satunya melalui kegiatan Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT). Namun selama ini, kegiatan yang ada di KWT dan hasil pertanian belum optimal. Hal ini dikarenakan belum efektifnya penataan tanaman di kebun pekarangan rumah, masih ada lahan kebun yang kosong belum dimanfaatkan, belum ada pembukuan kegiatan dan manajemen penjualan hasil pertanian, masih rendah difersifikasi hasil pertanian menjadi produk bernilai jual tinggi, dan minimnya pengetahuan dan sarana pembuatan pupuk kompos dari limbah organik di lingkungan sekitar sebagai upaya meminimalisir pengeluaran untuk kebutuhan pupuk. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, iptek bagi masyarakat (IbM) melalui program pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan dengan cara pemberian pengetahuan dan keterampilan di bidang optimalisasi lahan, pembukuan dan manajemen hasil pertanian, difersifikasi jahe menjadi minuman jahe instan, dan pembuatan pupuk kompos. Luaran yang dihasilkan adalah peningkatan keterampilan anggota KWT dalam optimalisasi lahan untuk pertanian organik, terampil dalam mengolah jahe menjadi minuman jahe instan, membuat pupuk organik, serta kompeten dalam pembukuan dan manajemen penjualan hasil pertanian.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is developing and knowing assess the feasibility of learning media digestive of food system with virtual laboratory in Junior High School. The research was conducted at Departement of Biology Semarang State University and Junior High School 13 Magelang with research design and development (Research and Development /R&D). The Product usage test samples taken by convenience sampling method. Assessment results matter experts and instructional media specialist showed a digestive system media with a virtual laboratory is very fit for use as a media of learning. Teachers responded that the media is very supportive to learning activities of biology. Students in product testing and product usage testing responded very well to the criteria for the use of instructional digestive system media accompanied virtual laboratory. The trial results showed a classical learning outcomes students achieve 86.60%  KKM ≥75. Based on the results of the research study media of digestive system accompanied virtual laboratory fit for use as a media of learning biology in Junior High School.Tujuanpenelitianiniadalahmengembangkandanmengetahuikelayakan media pembelajaransistempencernaanmakanandisertaivirtual laboratory di SMP. Abstract

Abstrak ___________________________________________________________________ Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui korelasi antara motivasi berprestasi dan minat berorganisasi terhadap indeks prestasi belajar mahasiswa Bidikmisi Jurusan Biologi FMIPA Unnes. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif korelasional. Data motivasi berprestasi dan minat berorganisasi diambil dengan pemberian skala psikologi berupa skala motivasi berprestasi dan minat berorganisasi. Data indeks prestasi belajar berupa IPK diambil dengan metode dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif persentase dan analisis korelasi berbantuan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan motivasi berprestasi dan minat berorganisasi mahasiswa Bidikmisi Jurusan Biologi FMIPA Unnes rata-rata termasuk dalam kriteria tinggi. Mahasiswa Bidikmisi Jurusan Biologi FMIPA Unnes mempunyai IPK antara 2,59 – 3,71 dengan rata-rata IPK 3,27. Korelasi motivasi berprestasi terhadap IPK termasuk kategori tinggi dengan koefisien korelasi 0,656. Korelasi minat berorganisasi terhadap IPK termasuk kategori sedang dengan koefisien korelasi 0,582. Korelasi motivasi berprestasi dan minat berorganisasi terhadap IPK termasuk kategori tinggi dengan koefisien korelasi 0,687. Simpulan penelitian ini yaitu ada korelasi antara motivasi berprestasi dan minat berorganisasi terhadap indeks prestasi belajar mahasiswa Bidikmisi Jurusan Biologi FMIPA Unnes.   Abstract ___________________________________________________________________ This  research aimed to determine the correlation between achievement motivation and organizational interest trough Grade Point Average (GPA) of Bidikmisi students in Biological Science Department UNNES. The reseach design used in this study was a quantitative correlation. Data of achievement motivation and organizational interest taken by achievement motivation and organizational interests scale. Data GPA was taken by documentation method. The data were analyzed by description of percentage and analysis of correlation. The result of this research showed that achievement motivation and organizional interest of Bidikmisi students of Biological Science Department UNNES was high. The GPA was between 2.59 to 3.71 and it’s average was 3.27. The result revealed that correlation between achievement motivation on GPA was high with a correlation coefficient was 0.656. The correlations between organizational interest and GPA was medium with a correlation coefficient was 0.582. The correlation between achievement motivation and organizational interest through GPA was high with a correlation coefficient was 0.687. From those results, this study conclude that there is a correlation between achievement motivation and organizational interest though the GPA  of Bidikmisi students in Biological Science Department UNNES.

Abstract

This study determined the development process and feasibility of  Comics of Biology Experimental Guide as a teaching material. This study used Research and Development (R & D). It was conducted at SMP 5 Semarang and SMP 21 Semarang. In obtaining the feasibility proof of this book as a teaching material, the study used questionnaire. Data were analyzed by using descriptive percentages. Based on the criteria of the feasibility, the results showed that this book guide is very feasible. It was able to achieve the graduation classical > 85% with KKM 75. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pengembangan Comics of Biology Experimental Guide dan kelayakannya sebagai bahan ajar. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan pembelajaran sistem dalam kehidupan tumbuhan berbasis web dengan visualisasi dan simulasi. Penelitian ini dikatakan layak jika hasil penilaian kelayakan dari pakar media dan materi 70% dan hasil belajar klasikal ≥ 75% di atas nilai KKM. Penelitian ini merupakan Research and Development (R & D) yang akan menghasilkan web pembelajaran pada materi sistem dalam kehidupan tumbuhan di MTs Negeri. Hasil analisis penilaian kelayakan pakar materi adalah 85% dan hasil penilaian oleh pakar media 75,76%. Pada uji coba skala terbatas hasil belajar siswa mencapai 100%. Pada uji coba pemakaian kelas eksperimen lebih baik dari pada kelas kontrol. Terbukti dengan pencapaian hasil belajar kelas eksperimen ketuntasan klasikal mencapai 100% dan pada kelas kontrol ketuntasan klasikalnya hanya 75%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan media pembelajaran biologi berbasis web dengan visualisasi dan simulasi layak digunakan pada materi sistem dalam kehidupan tumbuhan di MTs Negeri.   The purpose of this study was to know the appropriateness of web based learning system plant life topic with visualization and simulation. The experiment was considered succesfull if the results of quality assessment of media experts and materials was 70% and the results of classical learning ≥ 75% was which above the standard of KKM. This study was a Research and Development (R & D) that the result is web-learning system material in the plant life in the MTs. The results of expert analysis for feasibility assessment of the material was 85% and the results of expert assessment for the media is 75.76%. On a limited scale trial, students assessment reached 100%. On the trial application, experiment class performed better than the control class. It could be showed by study result assessment in the experiment class. The classical completeness was 100% and the control class was 75%. Based on the results, it could be concluded that the use of web-based biology learning media with visualization and simulation was appropriate to be used in the system in the living plant material in MTs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan LKS IPA terpadu pada tema pencemaran lingkungan terhadap penanaman nilai karakter dan pemahaman konsep siswa kelas VII. Populasi yang diambil adalah siswa SMP Negeri 1 Tempuran kelas VII semester genap tahun ajaran 2012/2013. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah post test only control design dengan menerapkan pembelajaran menggunakan  LKS IPA terpadu pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yang menerapkan pembelajaran tanpa menggunakan LKS. Pengambilan data melalui observasi pengukuran nilai karakter dan pemahaman konsep yang berupa hasil belajar kognitif. Hasil analisis data penelitian menunjukkan nilai karakter dan hasil belajar kognitif kelas eksperimen lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Rata-rata nilai karakter komunikatif sebesar 88, rasa ingin tahu sebesar 86,9 dan kreatif sebesar 78,3 pada kelas eksperimen dan pada kelas kontrol rata-rata nilai karakter komunikatif sebesar 78,1, rasa ingin tahu sebesar 71,8 dan kreatif sebesar 63,1. Sedangkan hasil belajar kognitif pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 88,63 dan 80,19 pada kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan LKS IPA terpadu tema pencemaran lingkungan efektif terhadap penanaman nilai karakter dan pemahaman konsep. The purpose of this study to describe the effectiveness of learning by using the Integrated Science worksheets on the theme of environmental pollution to instill character values and understanding concept of grade VII. Population of this study are all of students grade VII of SMP Negeri 1 Tempuran on 2012/2013 academic year. The study design was used  post-test only control design which on experimental class the learning using the Integrated Sciences student worksheet and control class, the learning without the use of worksheets. The data were collected from the observation to measurement of the character value and cognitive test to measurement understanding concept. The result of the study showed that the average of the character value and understanding concept on axperimental class better than control class.The average value of communicative character is 88, curiosity character is 86.9 and creative character is 78.3 in the experimental class and on the control class, average communicative character values ​​is 78.1, 71.8 of curiosity characterand creative character is 63.1. While the average of cognitive test on the experimental class is 88.63 and 80.19 on the control class. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the application of Integrated Sciences worksheet on the theme environmental pollution effective against the character value and understanding concepts.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis penting dalam pembelajaran IPA terpadu, tetapi belum diperhatikan dengan detail karena alat evaluasi yang ada tidak dapat mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran IPA terpadu di sekolah. Perlu dilakukan pengembangan alat evaluasi untuk mengetahui tingkat keberhasilan siswa dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis yang dimiliki dan memudahkan menerapkan konsep yang telah dipelajarinya. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa alat evaluasi yang dikembangkan sangat layak digunakan dengan memperoleh skor rata-rata 82 (87,23%). Alat evaluasi yang dikembangkan juga mampu mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran IPA terpadu model webbed tema lingkungan yang ditunjukkan dengan hasil validasi ahli dan angket tanggapan guru yang mendapat skor maksimal 4. Alat evaluasi kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran IPA terpadu model webbed tema lingkungan yang dikembangkan terbukti layak digunakan dan dapat mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis pada siswa.  Critical thinking skills is important in natural science learning, but have not paid attention because there is not an evaluation tool that can evaluate students critical thinking skills in schools . It is necessary to develop an evaluation tool to determine the success rate of students in developing critical thinking skills and facilitate to apply concepts they have learned. The research method applied is the research and development (R & D). The results showed that the developed evaluation tools reached a very decent average score of 82 (87.23%). The evaluation tool also able to evaluate students critical thinking skills in an natural science learning environment theme webbed models indicated by the results of the validation expert and teacher questionnaire responses received the maximum score of 4. It can be concluded that the evaluation tools students critical thinking skills in an natural science learning environment theme webbed models proved to be feasible and can be used to evaluate students’ critical thinking skills.

PENGEMBANGAN MODUL IPA TERPADU MODEL WEBBED PADA TEMA HAMA DAN PESTISIDA

Abstract

Pembelajaran IPA terpadu di SMP N 2 Subah Batang terkendala dengan belum tersedianya buku IPA terpadu. Buku – buku yang selama ini dijumpai untuk dipakai dalam pembelajaran IPA belum IPA terpadu. Buku tersebut masih tersusun berdasarkan bab-bab yang tersendiri antara fisika, biologi dan kimia tanpa adanya keterpaduan di antara disiplin ilmu. Melalui modul IPA terpadu guru akan lebih mudah dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran dan siswa akan lebih terbantu serta mudah dalam belajar secara mandiri. Metode Penelitian yang diterapkan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development). Hasil penelitian dari validasi pakar pada kelayakan isi sebesar 79,2% dengan kriteria layak, kelayakan kebahasaan sebesar 95% dengan kriteria sangat layak dan kelayakan penyajian  sebesar 85,9% dengan kriteria sangat layak. Tanggapan guru terhadap modul sebesar 92,5% dengan kriteria sangat layak dan tanggapan siswa terhadap modul sebesar 97,3% dengan kriteria sangat layak. Pada penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan modul IPA terpadu model webbed pada tema hama dan pestisida melalui tahapan identifikasi potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain, revisi desain, uji coba skala kecil, revisi, ujicoba skala besar, revisi  dan produksi akhir. Modul yang dikembangkan layak digunakan sebagai sumber belajar siswa. Integrated science learning in SMP N 2 Subah Batang is constrained by lack of a unified science books. Books that have been found to be used in science teaching is not integrated science. The book is still arranged by chapters that separate between physics, biology and chemistry without any integration among the disciplines. This research was aimed to develop an integrated webbed science module on the theme of pests and pesticides. Through an integrated science module, teachers will be easier to implement learning and students will be helped and easy to learn independently. The research method applied was the research and development (Research and Development). The results of the experts validation study on the feasibility of the content was 79.16% categorized in a decent criteria, linguistic eligibility criteria was 95% in a very decent criteria and proper presentation was 85.93% in a very decent criteria. Teachers response to the module was 92.50% in a very decent criteria and student responses to the module was 96.53% also in a very decent criteria. It can be concluded that the development of webbed integrative science module on the theme of pests and pesticides was started from the identification of potential problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revisions, small-scale trials, revisions, large-scale trials, revision and final production. Modules developed fit for use as a source of student learning.

Abstract

Analysis fingerprinting teak is supported by information about teak’s character molecularly. The information is gotten by analyzing 3 primary microsatellite in 46 teak samples that produce total 18 kinds of alel averagely 6 alel per locus. Genetics variety level is shown by Observed Heterozigosity (Ho), Expected Heterozygosity (He), Polimorfi sm Information Content (PIC) and Genetics Differentiation Coeffi cient successively 0.5122; 0.6221; 0.5818; and 0.0629. Kinship connection through dendogram analysis produces coeffi cient resemblance 0.3-1.00 that form 2 groups. However it has not shown inclination of forming group based on origin grows yet. Genetics differentiation analysis indicates different genetics in a population is higher then it is between populations. Analysis result has not found specifi c alel yet but has found 12 specifi c genotipe that is potential for analyzing fi ngerprinting if it relates to important useful genes. Abstract

This research was carried out to evaluate the efficiency of marker gene transfer of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) explant tissues, which were co-cultivated with Agrobacterium tumefaciens strain LBA 4404 carrying binary vector pBI121. Nodes and leaf segments from shoot cultures of Panda and Atlantic cultivars were used as explants. The marker gene transfer procedure was initiated with explant pre-conditioning, followed with co-cultivating and selecting of putative transformant cells. Explants were pre-conditioned over-night in callus induction medium containing basal medium of MS (Murashige & Skoog, 1962) supplemented with 5 mg/l naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) and 0.1 mg/l benzyl adenine. After 10 min. inoculation in  A. tumefaciens suspension, explants were co-cultivated for 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 days. After co-cultivation, explant tissues were placed on callus induction medium added with 150 mg/l kanamycin. Successful marker gene transfer was calculated as the percentage of total explants producing callus on selection medium. Results showed that more co-cultivated nodal explants became resistant to kanamycin than co-cultivated leaf explants. The highest efficiency of transformation (45%) of nodal explants was observed in Panda cultivar whereas that in Atlantik was only 30%. The most efficient transformation of leaf explants was observed in Panda cultivar (20%) whereas that in Atlantik was15%. The PCR analysis detected the presence of NPTII gene in transgenic tissues.
