Abstract

National Standardization of Education (NSE) aims to ensure the quality of national education in forming intellectual, character and civilization of the nations dignity. NSE improved in a planning, directing, and sustaining in accordance with the demands of changes in local, national, and global. The standardization of education is also expected to move the stakeholders of education and educational managers to compete in improving student quality as the core of education that deliver them to achieve the standards set. Education creating intellectual abilities without wakened conscience would result in a fragile human soul and the hollow in the face real life challenges. Education is expected to have “soul” that inceases values incluiding Intelligenci Quotient (IQ), Emotional Quotient (EQ) and Spiritual Quotient (SQ).

Abstract

ABTRACT The Islamic Elementary School (MI) Al Azhar is one of private islamic elementary school that has central of excellence-oriented in implementing quality of learning program.  In this program, it doesn’t only develop the students intelligence but also develop emotional aspect, social aspect, and spiritual aspect.  In this study, there are research finding; 1) Policy in planning. 2) Teachers management oriented in competence and professional achievement. 3) Students management. 4) Learning management. 5) Method Management. 6) Learning resources management. 7) Media management. 8) Internal-external environment management. 9) Evaluation supervision. Kata Kunci: Manajemen, Mutu, Program, Pembelajaran.

Abstract

Tantangan dan problem mendasar pendidikan saat ini terletak pada aspek peningkatan mutu dan perbaikan kualitas di perguruan tinggi termasuk perguruan tinggi Islam. Sejumlah perguruan tinggi terkemuka di Indonesia mempunyai visi menjadi universitas kelas dunia. Menurut The Times Higher Education Supplement, beberapa perguruan tinggi Indonesia memang telah mencapai peringkat atas di antara ribuan kampus di seluruh dunia. Walau demikian, secara umum masih terdapat banyak hal yang perlu di perbaiki. Bukan sekadar untuk meningkatkan peringkat, namun lebih untuk meningkatkan kualitas perguruan tinggi Islam. Kualitas dalam hal apa? Tentunya kualitas dalam Tri Dharma: Pendidikan, Penelitian, dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat. Namun untuk meningkatkan kualitas dalam tiga hal tersebut, juga perlu meningkatkan mutu sarana dan prasarana, pengelolaan, dan pendanaan, serta kualitas para pelakunya, yakni para dosen dan tenaga pendukung, yang berdampak pada kualitas lulusannya. Jika saat ini yang masuk dalam rangking 100 perguruan tinggi terbaik di Asia adalah perguruan tinggi umum maka kapan perguruan tinggi Islam dapat bersaing dengan perguruan tinggi lain merupakan hal yang harus dijawab di masa datang. The fundamental problem faced by university institution, especially Islamic university is related to the aspect of improving its quality in education. Some exemplary universities in Indonesia have visions to be world class universities. The Times Higher Education Supplement reporting that some of universities in Indonesia have reached the level in between two hundreds among thousands of universities in the world. However, in general, they still need some efforts to improve not only their levels but their qualities as well. The intended improvement is in the domain of Tri Dharma (three obligations), covering education, research, and society service. To improve the quality of these domains, it should be supported by the quality of improvement of other aspects, such as structure and infrastructure, management, funding, lecturer, and staff. The availability of these components give positive effect toward the quality of the graduations. Nowadays the best universities that reach the level in between a hundred in Asia are those belong to public universities. The fact stimulates Islamic universities to compete to other universities. This is a case needed to be solved in the future.

Wasathiyah Islam emerged as a counterweight of the emergence of a group that often and another group (takfris). In addition, education also wasathiyah moderate understanding of Islam, with the idea of opposing violence, defend the oppressed, fanaticism, ekterimisme, reject intimidation, and terrorism. Wasathiyah (moderation) including the main Islamic character; because this value always connect Muslims with their basic principles. Their current living conditions are not disconnected from their past history and strongly connected with the history of the lives of the righteous generation earlier. In the view of Islam, life is always changing and rotation. Therefore, the attitude of moderate Islam refused to part of the present and ignore the events that occur in it. Islam also rejects wrap moderation ijtihad which is affected by a condition or environment with the clothes of immortality and maintenance of errors and changes, without any other ijtihad which is also influenced by the environment and the environmental conditions that are different from the previous ijtihad.

Abstract

The charges with co ver t mission in t erms of local wisdom such as mysticism, sacralization, Javanese and ancestor gods are exaggerated perspective. Through Anthropological studies of sacred, mythology and local wisdom is elaborated on the meaning and relevance to the public ritual actions in Pasuruan Regency with the attempt to build harmony and interaction between local culture and Islam. This study focused on the dynamical of relationship between religion and social religious culture interactions among groups in society through religious symbols system. Every religious tradition includes sacred symbols with which the person conducting a series of measures to shed beliefs in the form of ritual, reverence and servitude. Hindu communities in the mountains Pasuruan region have been driven to assimilate with Muslim population. But the religion which is embraced by the majority of the population are nominal Muslims, but confounds the Tengger and Javanese-style ritual, because the vast majority of Muslims there refused to form a more strict Islamic piety is identified with a culture that does not fit to the culture of Java, in contrast to Muslims Pasuruan in the lowlands because much dominated by the descendants of Madura, the Islamization can continue to do without having to harm the local culture, which in turn would foster against-Islam movement. Tuduhan terhadap misi terselubung dalam istilah kearifan lokal seperti mistisisme, sakralisasi, kejawen, dan sesembahan lelulur merupakan cara pandang yang berlebihan. Melalui studi Antropologi tentang sakralisasi, mitologi, dan kearifan lokal ini dipaparkan makna dan relevansinya terhadap tindakan ritual masyarakat kabupaten Pasuruan dengan upaya membangun wajah dalam harmoni dan interaksi antara budaya lokal dan Islam. Kajian ini menitikberatkan pada dinamika hubungan antara agama dan berbagai kelompok sosio religio kultural melalui interaksi antar kelompok di dalam masyarakat melalui simbol-simbol religius. Setiap tradisi keagamaan memuat simbol-simbol suci yang dengannya orang melakukan serangkaian tindakan untuk menumpahkan keyakinan dalam bentuk melakukan ritual, penghormatan dan penghambaan. Masyarakat Hindu di wilayah Pasuruan pegunungan telah terdorong untuk berasimilasi dengan penduduk muslim. Namun agama Islam yang dipeluk oleh sebagian besar penduduk adalah Islam nominal namun mencampur adukkan gaya ritual Tengger dan Kejawen, karena mayoritas Muslim di sana menolak bentuk kesalehan Islam yang lebih ketat yang diidentifikasi dengan kebudayaan yang tidak njawani, berbeda dengan muslim pasuruan di dataran rendah karena banyak didominasi oleh keturunan Madura, maka Islamisasi dapat terus dilakukan tanpa harus mencederai kebudayaan lokal yang pada akhirnya justru menyuburkan gerakan anti-Islam.

Abstract

The high capability for managing Higher Education (HE) is necessary which include adopting of modern management principles that focus on quality, continous improvement and customer satisfaction. Globalization era is competation era, so HE must based quality in any of its processed. The students of HE that still studying need a product of motivation and double communication that are; science, academic title, skill, experience, belief and good behaviour on the contex of balance. All of them need to work in workplace expected a better life in this world is systematic attempt to increase human resources quality. There are four points on education field, namely; average and opportunity of education, relevancy with development, quality and efficiency. Therefor HE needs to support a certain aim to increase their level lecturer qualification with next educational level or non-degree course in order to enhance a quality of human resources resulted automatically will support a quality of education at HE.Keywords:  Gap, Pendidikan, Dunia Kerja, SDM

Abstract

This research aims to explain the views of policymakers, the concept of integration in scientific development, and the strategy of integrating da’wah spirit of Walisongo with science in the Indonesian National Qualification Frameworks (KKNI) based curriculum. The results of this study indicate that: (1) stakeholders states that spirit of Walisongo’s dakwah has been used as values in science development by some academics, although it has not been fully understood because some academics still see it as a myth. The spirit of institutional management should match with the institution name itself, otherwise, there will be management error; (2) the concept of integration in KKNI-based curriculum in three institutions has similarities in general. However, there are distinctive characteristics in developing scientific knowledge based on the vision and core values of each institution; (3) the strategy of integrating the spirit of Walisongo is reflected in evaluating aspects: (a) institutions, by building interconnections, tag line or owner’s quote, piety bureaucracy (clean and clear), (b) human resources development, and (c) academic integration through Islamic subject with science and technology, halal laboratories, and Islamic law.Penelitian ini bertujuan menjelaskan pandangan pengambil kebijakan, konsep integrasi dalam pengembangan ilmiah, dan strategi mengintegrasikan semangat dakwah Walisongo dengan ilmu pengetahuan dalam kurikulum berbasis Kerangka Kualifikasi Nasional Indonesia (KKNI). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: (1) pemangku kepentingan berpendapat bahwa semangat dakwah Walisongo telah digunakan sebagai nilai dalam pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan beberapa akademisi, tetapi belum sepenuhnya dipahami karena masih ada beberapa warga akademik yang menganggapnya sebagai mitos. Semangat manajemen kelembagaan harus sesuai dengan nama lembaga tersebut, jika tidak maka ada kesalahan manajemen, (2) konsep integrasi dalam kurikulum berbasis KKNI di tiga lembaga memiliki kesamaan pada umumnya tetapi memiliki karakteristik khusus dalam mengembangkan pengetahuan ilmiah berdasarkan visi dan nilai-nilai inti lembaga. (3) Strategi memadukan semangat Walisongo tercermin dari mengevaluasi aspek-aspek yaitu: a) institusi dengan cara membangun interkoneksi, slogan atau falsafah pendirinya, birokrasi kesalehan (bersih dan jelas), b) pengembangan sumber daya manusia, dan c) integrasi akademik melalui mata pelajaran Islam dengan sains dan teknologi, laboratorium halal, dan hukum Islam.
