Abstract

Conventional detector system of DS/CDMA can separate each user if spreading code and training bit of user is known. At this paper, to detect multi-user without using information of spreading code or training bit of user, Blind source separation (BSS) technique is used by recognized. Blind Source Separation at this paper uses the method of Independent Component Analysis (ICA). The principal of algorithm of ICA is used to estimate the mixture matrix of signal so that, it can be found again at the wanted signal. Result of the simulation is shown in the form of performance of detector of ICA shown value of BER and MSE to SNR.

Abstract

Squeeze casting, also known as liquid metal forging, is a term commonly used to describe a process by which molten metal solidifies under pressure within closed dies position between the plates of a hydraulic press. The applied pressure and instant contact of the molten metal with the die surface produce a rapid heat transfer condition that yields a pore-free fine grain casting with mechanical properties. Which is similar to those of wrought products. This papers reviews aspect of recent progress in the development of current squeeze casting techniques, and address both the advantages and limitations of the various processes. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Pengecoran squeeze, yang juga dikenal dengan istilah penempaan logam cair, merupakan suatu istilah yang dipakai untuk menggambarkan suatu proses dimana logam cair didinginkan di dalam cetakan tertutup sambil diberi tekanan luar yang biasanya berasal dari tenaga hidrolik. Tekanan yang diberikan serta kontak langsung antara logam cair dengan dinding cetakan akan menyebabkan terjadi perpindahan panas secara cepat yang memungkinkan untuk menghasilkan produk cor dengan porositas rendah serta memiliki ukuran butir yang halus dengan sifat mekanik yang mendekati produk tempa umumnya. Karya tulis ini mencoba mengkaji perkembangan terkini dari pengecoran squeeze serta keunggulan dan keterbatasan proses ini dibandingkan proses-proses lainnya. Kata kunci: pengecoran squeeze langsung, pengecoran squeeze tak langsung

Abstract

Although TQM could solve every problems but it does not mean that TQM is unlimited. There are several limitations on TQM application, some examples from international cases is taken to show the failure of TQM implementation. The understanding of TQM philosophy is really necessary. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Meskipun TQM dapat menyelesaikan semua masalah tetapi bukan berarti bahwa TQM tanpa batas. Ada beberapa keterbatasan penerapan TQM yang berujung pada beberapa kasus dunia yang dapat diambil sebagai contoh dari kegagalan penerapan TQM secara baik dan benar. Untuk itu diperlukan pemahaman filosophi TQM secara tepat. Kata kunci: total quality management, keterbatasan TQM

Abstract

Modern society has been much influenced by the information technology development. Their social life depends very much on information distribution speed and accuracy. Today, the integration between information technology and design has also significantly influences the way of product design evolved such as placing the components and its specification, drawing or design supply to the customers, and collecting responds of the new emerging product, etc. The main constraints of the integration is data transformation system which have different format. Nevertheless, it has been solved by the help of integrated manufacturing system . Several cases concerning the collaboration of information technology and design technology are also presented in this papers to underlines the above mentioned integrated phenomena. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Perkembangan teknologi informasi telah merambah ke seluruh sendi kehidupan masyarakat moderen. Peradaban moderen sangat tergantung pada kecepatan dan keakuratan distribusi informasi. Perpaduan antara teknologi informasi dengan teknologi desain membawa dampak signifikan bagi perkembangan desain produk. Melalui pemanfaatan teknologi internet dengan berbagai cara telah dikembangkan seperti misalnya menempatkan komponen dan spesifikasinya, suplai gambar atau desain ke pelanggan, mengumpulkan tanggapan atas produk baru dan lain sebagainya. Kendala utama yang masih dihadapi ialah sistem transformasi data dengan berbagai format yang belum berjalan secara mulus. Namun demikian hal tersebut sudah dapat diatasi dengan adanya sistem manufaktur yang terintegrasi. Berbagai hal yang muncul sebagai contoh kasus perkembagan integrasi teknologi informasi dengan teknologi desain ditampilkan pada makalah ini untuk memberikan penegasan tentang fenomena yang dimaksud. Kata kunci: teknologi informasi, desain produk, sistem transformasi data.

Abstract

The existing flanges component which is produced by traditional sand casting shows low quality both of the material and dimension, since the product made from recycled material and supported by a very simple technology. The quality of casting is not depends on the microstructure, but also supported by a good appearance. This research is to analyze the effect of process parameters by producing specimens through squeeze casting process using the existing recycled material. Process parameter such as squeeze pressure and punch & die temperature. The process consists of melting the alloys and heating the die in two difference resistance furnaces, ladling the melt into pre-heated die cavity and finally applying pressure by hydraulic power until the melt is fully solidified. After investigating the specimen, the results show that the quantity of the porosity as compared to traditional sand casting is decreasing significantly. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Produk flens yang ada, dihasilkan dari pengecoran cetakan pasir dengan bahan baku daur-ulang dan didukung oleh teknologi sederhana, bermutu rendah baik dari segi bahan maupun dimensi. Mutu hasil cor yang baik tidak hanya ditentukan dengan strukturmikro yang baik dan homogen tetapi juga dengan kekuatan dan penampakan yang baik. Penelitian ini mencoba menganalisis pengaruh parameter proses pengecoran squeeze paduan aluminium daur ulang yang ada dengan cara memvariasikan parameter tekanan squeeze, dan temperatur punch & die. Langkah proses squeeze casting meliputi pemanasan logam dan die dalam dua dapur induksi berbeda, dilanjutkan dengan penuangan logam cairan ke dalam die dan diteruskan dengan pemberian tekanan selama waktu tertentu. Setelah melakukan beberapa pengujian terhadap spesimen, hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa persentase porositas yang dihasilkan menurun secara signifikan dibandingkan dengan proses pengecoran cetakan pasir yang ada. Kata kunci: pengecoran squeeze, porositas, paduan aluminium daur ulang.

Abstract

Pneumatics holder which supports all pneumatics components requires high tolerance in dimension. Therefore, perfect design process which means accurate process parameter selection will enable us to produce as cast holder as required. This experimental study is to produce pneumatics holder by combining several process parameters on injection moulding machine, such as : melting point, air pressure level, holding time and pressure duration. The results show that the process parameter significantly influence the as cast holder product as required, so that the process parameter selected should be in accordance with the raw plastic material availiable. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Akurasi dimensi yang dibutuhkan bagi benda cetak pneumatics holder yang berfungsi sebagai dudukan katup-katup atau komponen pneumatik lainnya tergolong cukup tinggi. Untuk itu diperlukan desain proses yang baik agar hasil cetakan dapat memenuhi syarat fungsionalitas. Proses yang baik tentu saja harus mempertimbangkan parameter proses yang sesuai sehingga hasil yang diharapkan dapat terpenuhi. Studi eksperimental ini melakukan percobaan pembuatan produk pneumatics holder dengan memvariasikan beberapa parameter proses pada mesin injection moulding yang ada. Parameter proses meliputi: temperatur leleh (melting point), tekanan udara (air pressure), waktu penahanan (holding time), dan waktu penekanan (pressure duration). Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa pemilihan parameter yang tepat sangat berpengaruh terhadap hasil benda cetak yang diinginkan, sehingga perlu dicari parameter terbaik untuk setiap benda cetak berdasarkan jenis bahan baku plastik yang ada. Selain itu, parameter temperatur leleh sangat signifikan pengaruhnya terhadap cacat shrinkage.

Abstract

The hand phone provides an easy to communicate in domestic calls or international calls. The radiation pattern of yagi antenna leads to one direction. Therefore, this antenna is selected for   signal amplifier in global system of mobile communication. The design of 14 element yagi antenna which applied for signal amplification in the cell phones was conducted in this study. The design was done manually without computer software. The antenna was created using an aluminum pipe in 3/8 inch diameter for element and an aluminum beam for boom. The result showed that the operating frequency between the designed antenna and manufactured antenna are the same i.e. 947 MHz. The bandwidth of yagi antenna is 9 MHz. Moreover, the antenna gain which measured in folded antenna transmitter and BTS transmitter are 16 dB and 12 dB respectively. That result is caused differences in distance at the measurement time. Utilization of yagi antenna has succeeded to increase signal amplification in hand phone.

Abstract

Radiation pattern controlling of antenna array can be done by change some parameters such as the geometry of antenna array, distance among the element antenna array, amplitude and in phase of excitation. Controlling of antenna array radiation pattern to certain geometry and distance among an element and the amplitude of a constant current can be done by device of phase shifter. This research made a device to shift the phase using switched line method to condition phase 300, 600 and 900. The result show the phase 300, 600 and 900 obtainable with size a cable inter of different elements are 0 λ, 1/2 λ, 1/16 λ.

Abstract

Coronary heart disease (CHD) population increases every year with a significant number of deaths. Moreover, the mortality from coronary heart disease gets the highest prevalence in Indonesia at 1.5 percent. The misdiagnosis of coronary heart disease is a crucial fundamental that is the major factor that caused death. To prevent misdiagnosis of CHD, an intelligent system has been designed. This paper proposed a simulation which can be used to diagnose the coronary heart disease in better performance than the traditional diagnostic methods. Some researches have developed a system using conventional neural network or other machine learning algorithm, but the results are not a good performance. Based on a conventional neural network, deeper neural network (DNN) is proposed to our model in this work. As known as, the neural network is a supervised learning algorithm that good in the classification task. In DNN model, the implementation of binary classification was implemented to diagnose CHD present (representative “1”) or CHD absent (representative “0”). To help performance analysis using the UCI machine learning repository heart disease dataset, ROC Curve and its confusion matrix were implemented in this work. The overall predictive accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity acquired was 96%, 99%, 92%, respectively.
