Abstract

This research aims to describe the development steps and the appropriateness of multicultural education module based on the character of patriotism and nationalism in thematic learning for students in 2nd grade Elementary School. This is a research and development applying Borg and Gall design. The trial was conducted on 10 students of 2nd grade in Muhammadiyah Bodon Elementary School. The data collection techniques in this research were interviews, observations, module feasibility assessments by experts, teachers’ assessment, and questionnaire of learners’ responses. The eligibility of the multicultural education module is shown by the result of the assessment by the validation experts at the time of FGD. The validation by media expert scored of 72, the validation by learning expert scored of 74, and the validation by language expert scored of 60. The limited product trial were conducted in class II A, based on the students assessment get the mean score of 37.5, while the assessment by the teacher scored 70 , both are very good category. The field trial were conducted in class II B, based on the students score, obtained 36.94 score, and 76 from the teachers; both are very good category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesiapan guru Sekolah Dasar (SD) dalam menerapkan Kurikulum 2013 khususnya dalam pembelajaran tematik-integratif di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY). Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian survei. Populasi penelitian adalah guru kelas I dan IV yang terdapat di wilayah DIY. Jumlah sampel yang diambil dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 182 guru SD yang berasal dari 49 SD negeri dan 15 SD swasta yang dijadikan pilot project berdasarkan data dari Kemdikbud DIY. Hasil penelitan menunjukkan bahwa persentase kesiapan guru SD di DIY dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran tematik-integratif pada Kurikulum 2013 sebesar 75,85% (siap), dilihat dari aspek kesiapan yaitu aspek Behavioral Readiness diperoleh persentase sebesar 80% (sangat siap), aspek Emotive-Ettitudinal sebesar 78,39% (sangat siap) dan aspek Cognitive Readiness sebesar 71,18% (siap). Sedangkan kesiapan guru SD di setiap kabupaten diperoleh hasil persentase sebagai berikut: Sleman 76,13% (sangat siap), Yogyakarta 78,72% (sangat siap), Bantul 73,16% (siap), Gunungkidul 75,54% (siap), dan Kulon Progo 75,42% (siap). ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ THE STUDY ON THE ELEMANTARY SCHOOL TEACHERS READINESS IN IMPLEMENTING THEMATIC-INTEGRATIVE TEACHING AND LEARNING IN CURRICULUM 2013, YOGYAKARTAABSTRACT This study aims to describe the readiness of elementary school teachers in implementing curriculum 2013, based on thematic-integrative learning in Yogyakarta Province. This is a survey study. The research population were elemantary school teachers of class I and IV in DIY. The research sample consisted of 289 elemantary school teachers from 49 public schools and 15 private elementary schools which used as pilot project based on the data from Kemdikbud. The result shows that the percentage of elementary school teachers readiness in to implementing thematic-integrative learning is 75.85% (ready): the precentage of readiness behavioral aspects is 80% (well prepared), emotive ettitudinal aspect is 78.39% (well prepared) and cognitive readiness aspects is 71.18% (ready). While the readiness of elementary school teachers in each district are follows: Sleman 76.13% in the category of (well prepared), Yogyakarta 78.72% in the category of (well prepared), Bantul 73.16% in the category of (ready), Gunungkidul 75.54% in the category of (prepared ), and Kulon Progo 75.42% in the category of (ready). Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kesiapan  pelaksanaan pembelajaran tematik-integratif berdasarkan aspek Emotive-Attitudeinal Readiness, Cognitive Readiness, dan Behavioral Readinessbagi bagi guru SD di Kota Yogyakarta terhadap penerapan Kurikulum 2013. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian survei. Populasi penelitian adalah guru kelas I dan IV yang terdapat di wilayah Kota Yogyakarta sebanyak 102 guru dengan sampel sebanyak 48 guru SD yang berasal dari 10 SD negeri dan 2 SD swasta yang dijadikan pilot project berdasarkan data dari Kemendikbud DIY.Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif.Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan angket kesiapan guru dan didukung dengan wawancara tertutup.Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik persentase dengan data dibuat secara kategorikal. Hasil penelitan menunjukkan bahwa persentase kesiapan guru SD di Kota Yogyakarta dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran tematik-integratif pada Kurikulum 2013 dilihat dari aspek Emotive-Ettitudinal sebesar 80,75% (sangat siap), aspek Cognitive Readiness sebesar 73,78% (siap), dan aspek Behavioral Readiness diperoleh persentase sebesar 84,55% (sangat siap). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa guru sekolah dasar di Kota Yogyakarta sudah siap melaksanakan pembelajaran tematik-integratif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengembangan dan kelayakan media Tangga Pintar penjumlahan dan pengurangan Matematika kelas I sekolah dasar. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Subjek penelitian adalah ahli media, ahli materi, ahli pembelajaran, guru dan peserta didik. Instrumen penelitian berupa wawancara dan angket. Hasil pengembangan berupa media pembelajaran Tangga Pintar penjumlahan dan pengurangan Matematika kelas I sekolah dasar, berdasarkan hasil penilaian ahli media mendapat nilai 78,12 (baik). Ahli materi mendapat nilai 88,75 (sangat baik). Ahli pembelajaran mendapat nilai 78,94 (baik). Hasil uji coba I dan II, penilaian angket dari guru diperoleh nilai 97,36 (sangat baik). Penilaian angket respon peserta didik uji coba I diperoleh hasil 78,07, uji coba ke II 89,92 dengan rata-rata nilai kedua uji coba tersebut 83,99 (sangat baik) nilai pretest 54,58 dan nilai posttest 84,58. Sehingga dari hasil tersebut media pembelajaran tangga pintar layak digunakan oleh peserta didik. This research aimed to determine the development and feasibility of tangga pintar (smart ladder) media in Mathematics addition and subtraction learning materials of first grade elementary school. This was development research with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research subjects were media expert, material expert, learning expert, teachers, and students. The research instruments were interviews and questionnaires. The results of the development were in the form of Tangga Pintar (smart ladder) learning media of Mathematics addition and subtraction of first grade elementary school. The results of the media expert assessment was scored 78,12 (good). The material expert scored 88,75 (very good). Learning expert scored 78,94 (good). For the results of trials I and II, the questionnaire assessment from the teacher obtained a score of 97,36 (very good). The questionnaire of students’ responses of the Trial I is 78, 07, while the Trial II is 89,92, thus the average of the two trials is 83,99 (very good). pretest score is 54,58, while the posttest is 84,58. Therefore, from these results, Tangga Pintar (smart ladder) learning media is feasible to be used by students.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to develop and produce Social Studies module.  The module leaning material is natural phenomena in Indonesia with scientific approach. The module develops for college-students of Elementary School Teacher Education, Ahmad Dahlan University. This research was a Research and Development. The development of the module is based on Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE). Data collection techniques are interviews, product assessment by experts, and college-students response sheets.  The instruments of this research are 1) interview guideline to get preliminary information on the analysis of needs in the Elementary School Teacher Education Program; 2) product assessment sheet which is in the form of assessment sheet by expert judgment and expert input in the FGD, and 3)college-students response sheet to understand the modules practicality. The results of the research show the module’s feasibility by the material and learning experts with an average score of 120, with "very good" criteria. The study of feasibility by media experts obtains an average score of 83, with "very good" criteria. Based on the assessment of 10 college-students obtained n = 87.86%, with the module criteria of "very practical". It can be concluded that the module developed is very feasible, in accordance to the assessment of the experts and college-students response.

Abstract

Limbah minyak jelantah dan kulit pisang di Desa Sendangsari cukup banyak. Hal tersebut dikarenakan banyaknya warga yang berprofesi sebagai penjual kuliner geblek ( sejenis gorengan yang dibuat dari tepung pati) ditambah lagi minyak jelantah yang dihasilkan dari rumahan. Melimpahnya sumber daya alam pisang dapat dimanfaatkan tidak hanya buahnya tetapi kulit pisang juga dapat digunakan sebagai penjernih minyak jelantah. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut maka limbah minyak jelantah dan limbah kulit pisang diolah untukmenjadi sabun cuci tangan dengan berbagai modivikasi sehingga dapat dijadikan cendramata dan souvenir pernikahan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu sistem pengolahan limbah berbasis zero waste industry. Konsep zero waste industry terdiri dari reduce (mengurangi), reause (menggunakan kembali) dan recycle (mendaur ulang). Kegiatan tersebut terdiri dari: 1) penyuluhan limbah minyak jelantah bagi lingkungan, 2) membentuk UMKM mandiri dan memprakarsai tabungan minyak jelantah, 3) pembuatan buku  pengolahan limbah minyak jelantah dan strategi pemasaran 4) pelatihan penjernihan minyak jelantah, 5) pelatihan  pengolahan limbah minyak jelantah menjadi sabun mandi, 6) pelatiahan SDM dalam kewirausahaan,  8) dan  pendampingan perijinan. Luaran yang dihasilkan berupa teknik pengelolaan limbah minyak jelantah berbasis Zero Waste Industry, produk sabun cuci tangan, dan peningkatan kesadaran akan lingkungan serta terciptanya lapangan pekerjaan.

Abstract

Multicultural education is still very foreign to elementary school teachers and students. Need innovation in introducing multicultural education to elementary school students through educational story book. The aims of this study are: 1) developing educational story book based on tolerance character, 2) knowing the feasibility of the educational story book based on experts’ judgment, 3) knowing the responses of teachers and students after using educational story book. The development procedure adopted Borg and Gall model. Data collection techniques were questionnaires and interviews. Data analysis techniques was descriptive statistics and qualitative analysis of interactive model. Small group trial subject used six students in the 5th grade of Wirosaban Elementary School. While the large group trial used 20 students in the 5th grade of Pakel Elementary School. The results of the study are educational story book with the title "Berbeda tapi Sama (Divers but the Same)". The mean score of the experts’ assessment are from the learning material is 86,53, language expert is 87,5, and media expert is 88,33. The teacher response in the small group trial is 98,33 and the students’ response  is 99,58. The teacher's response in the large group trial is 81,66 and the students response is 97,87. All assessments from experts, teachers, and students are in a very good category. It can be concluded that educational story book with the title "Berbeda tapi Sama " is very feasible to be used to introduce multicultural education in elementary school students.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di Desa Sendangsari bertujuan untuk mengurangi limbah minyak jelantah dan kulit pisang menjadi barang bernilai ekonomis.  Kegiatan tersebut turut mendukung program pemeriantah desa bebas sampah dan bela beli Kulonprogo. Produk yang dihasilkan berupa sabun souvenir. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian meliputi observasi awal, sosialisasi kegiatan, penyuluhan bahaya minyak jelantah bagi tubuh dan lingkungan, pelatihan pengolahan limbah minyak jelantah dan limbah kulit pisang  menjadi sabun souvenir, pelatihan kemasan produk, pelatihan pemasaran produk. Output kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat terciptanya strategi pemsaran yang kompetetif. Meningkatkan keterampilan dan peningkatan pendapatan masyarakat.

Abstract

Masalah penting yang sering dihadapi oleh guru dalam kegiatan pembelajaran adalahmemilih atau menentukan bahan ajar atau materi pembelajaran yang tepat dalam rangka membantusiswa mencapai kompetensi. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kenyataan bahwa dalam kurikulum atausilabus, materi bahan ajar hanya dituliskan secara garis besar dalam bentuk materi pokok. Tugasguru adalah menjabarkan materi pokok tersebut sehingga menjadi bahan ajar yang lengkap.Sehingga diperlukan kecakapan dalam pembuatan bahan ajar khususnya dalam menghadapi eraMasyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN (MEA), karena tenaga kependidikan sangat dibutuhkan dan harusberperan aktif dalam mensukseskan program ini. Pembuatan bahan ajar berbasis sosiokulturalmerupakan salah satu langkah awal para guru dalam menyampaikan materi kepada siswa sekolahdasar.

Abstract

Penjernihan minyak jelantah dilaksanakan di Dusun Secang, Serang dan Pereng, Desa Sendangsari, Kecamatan Pengasih, Kabupaten Kulonprogo. Tujuan pengabdian untuk memberikan solusi pemanfaatan limbah minyak jelantah dan kulit pisang kepok. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan KKN PPM ini adalah : (1) sosialisasi pencemaran air tanah akibat pembuangan minyak jelantah, (2) sosialisasi pemanfaatan kulit pisang kepok, (3) pelatihan penjernihan minyak jelantah, dan (4) pelatihan pembuatan sabun souvenir menggunakan hasil penjernihan limbah minyak jelantah. Selain itu dilakukan evaluasi yang kemudian diperoleh kesimpulan yakni keberadaan limbah minyak jelantah jika diolah secara tepat dapat dimanfaatkan menjadi barang bernilai ekonomis salah satunya sabun souvenir. Kata kunci: limbah minyak jelantah, kulit pisang AbstractThe activity of waste cooking oil purification was carried out in Secang, Serang, and Pereng Hamlets, Sendangsari Village, Pengasih Sub-District, Kulon Progo District. The purpose of the community service is to provide solutions for waste cooking oil and kepok banana peels. The method used in this Community Service-Community Empowerment Learning (KKN-PPM) activity was by: (1) socialization on groundwater pollution due to the disposal of used cooking oil, (2) socialization on the utilization of kepok banana peels, (3) cooking oil purification training, and (4) training on soap souvenir making using the results of waste cooking oil purification. In addition, an evaluation was carried out which then concludes that the presence of waste cooking oil when processed properly can be used as economic value items, one of them is soap souvenir. Key words: waste cooking oil, banana peels
