Abstract

Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni 2010 sampai dengan bulan Agustus 2010, yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kebiasaan makan ikan nilem tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen pada tiga stasiun pengamatan dimana ikan nilem dipelihara dalam Karamba Jaring Apung (KJA) yaitu KJA-1 (Ikan nilem yang dipelihara tidak diberi pakan buatan), KJA-2 (Ikan nilem yang dipelihara diberi pakan buatan sebanyak 2%) dan  KJA-3 (Ikan nilem yang dipelihara diberi pakan buatan sebanyak 4%). Sampling perifiton dan kualitas air dilakukan setiap minggu atau lima kali selama penelitian. Sampling ikan dilakukan satu kali pada akhir penelitian, untuk mengetahui jenis pakan yang dimakan oleh ikan nilem atau kebiasaan makan ikan nilem, serta pertumbuhan mutlak ikan nilem. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, nilem dapat dikategorikan sebagai pemakan tumbuhan (herbivora) dengan cara memakan perifiton yang melekat pada jaring. Bacillariophyceae dan Chlorophyceae merupakan pakan utama bagi nilem, dengan indeks proponderan Bacillariophyceae sebesar 44,09%, Chlorophyceae sebesar 40,06% dan Cyanophyceae sebagai pakan pelengkap dengan indeks proponderannya 15,85%.  Hasil pengukuran parameter kualitas air yaitu suhu, DO, pH, dan nitrat, menunjukkan bahwa perairan waduk Ir. H. Djuanda masih layak untuk budidaya nilem. Nilem yang dipelihara di KJA tanpa diberi pakan buatan hanya memakan pakan alami perifiton dan plankton di air, menunjukkan pertambahan bobot yang relative hampir sama dengan yang diberi pakan buatan sebanyak 2 %.

Abstract

To minimize the effects of antinutrient contents in red bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L) two methods of drying were tested, i.e. oven and drum drier, to produce bean flour. The flour produced then was used as substitute ingredient to make cookies for baby food. The results of this study showed that drum drier are more effective than oven drier as indicated by chemicals and financial analyses. The 50% substitute of bean flour into cookies is preferred by panelists compared to 0% to 40%. This level of substitution has also the cheapest price in production cost. It is recommended that babies should eat 3-4 cookies per day to fulfill the nutrient requirement.

Abstract

ABSTRACTHall of Corrections (BAPAS) is to implement the guidance of social institutions. In accordance with Act 12 of 1995 undangNomor supervising civic duty contained in Article 2 paragraph 1 of the Decree of the Minister of Justice No. M.01-PK.04.10 In 1998, one of which is to implement the guidance of social and vocational guidance for correctional clients. Especially with the aim that the client is not willing to commit acts criminal offenses in the future. However, in the implementation of the work in the body BAPAS experienced internal and external constraints.The purpose of writing this essay for Social Research to examine the implementation by BAPAS Class II Samarinda proposed for inmates to obtain parole, knowing Role BAPAS Class II Samarinda in implementing the guidance of the Correctional Clients who obtain parole is later called correctional clients, and to identify constraints -kendala faced BAPAS Class II Samarinda in the framework of the implementation of the guidance to the Client of Corrections who obtain parole. Results showed that task Correctional Center is for healing and rehabilitation and social reintegration of the offenders to be able to adjust to life back in the community. Keywords: Parole, Research Society.

Abstract

Tindak berbahasa individu mencerminkan status sosial maupun besar pengaruh individu tersebut dalam konteks interaksinya. Sebaliknya, konstelasi posisi gender dalam suatu kelompok masyarakat dapat juga dipahami melalui tindak bahasa gender, terutama dalam konteks interaksi pula. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang tindak bahasa laki-laki dan perempuan dalam suatu diskusi di mana kedua gender berpartisipasi. Menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, dan media interaksi berbentuk Focus Group Discussion, dilakukan pengamatan terhadap variabel penelitian pola komunikasi antargender. Dengan teknik purposisive sampling, diperoleh sampel penelitian mahasiswa/i Program Diploma III Fakultas Sastra Universitas Padjadjaran yang berasal dari Garut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat banyak kesamaan dalam tindak berbahasa pada laki-laki maupun perempuan selama diskusi berlangsung. Dengan demikian, stereotip tentang tindak berbahasa laki-laki dan perempuan yang sebelumnya telah ada, patut diragukan. Kata kunci: tindak berbahasa, gender, focus group discussion

Abstract

Prosocial capability is important for adolescents, because it can be function as a protective factor against risky behaviors. The purpose of this study is to examine improvements in pro-social capability of adolescents aged 14-16 years old in post training delivery SINERGI I training program. Helpfulness and other-oriented empathy are aspects that trained by using the concept of experiential learning as well as methods of games, discussion, reflection, and role-playing. Participants for the experimental group and control group derived from different schools. The number of participants is 15 students in the experimental group and 15 students in the control group. A quasi-experimental method with the untreated control group design with dependent pretest and posttest samples was used in this study. Adolescent’s pro-social capabilities measured by the pro-social scale of PPB (Prosocial Personality Battery) with 14 items and alpha reliability of 0.856. The hypothesis of this study is the “SINERGI I” training program could improving adolescent’s pro-social capability. Quantitative data analysis were using a parametric t-test and analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results of quantitative analysis of gained score experimental and control groups showed significant differences with t = 2.351; p = 0.30 (p ≤ 0.05). while for ANOVA obtained F = 5.866, p = 0.026 (p ≤ 0.05). This result suggests that SINERGI I program could improve adolescent’s pro-social capability.

Abstract

School has been considered for long as the center of educational institutions which is able to educate the youth as the nation upcoming generation. The scool success in conducting the qualified educational program mainly depends on the influence of some exsistences like the  environment,family and community as the part of either formal of informal educational system. In the modern life, the philosophy of exsistentialism is not only applied in the educational settings, but also in the social life. Acording to the perspective of exsistentialism, the school should give freedom to each individual to do as how they want to since not all individuals have the same interest and orientation and the also have the willingness to be accountable for what they did.

Abstract

Dengan pesatnya perkembangan teknologi media di semua bidang termasuk di bidang pendidikan, proses pembelajaran bahasa asing juga telah berubah secara permanen. Penggunaan media digital dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar, baik di dalam maupun di luar kelas menjadi sangat penting untuk dilakukan. Penelitian yang sedang berlangsung ini melakukan penelitian eksploratif dan deskriptif untuk memaksimalkan penggunaan media digital. Berbagai materi pembelajaran yang diperoleh melalui media digital diintegrasikan ke dalam metode pengajaran, dengan studi kasus pada buku teks Netzwerk A1. Penelitian ini mencoba membuat peta metode pembelajaran bahasa Jerman sebagai bahasa asing bagi pemula dengan menggunakan teknik dan bahan e-learning terutama untuk siswa SMA di Mutiara Bunda Bandung dan untuk menerapkannya dalam proses belajarnya. Artikel ini akan melaporkan bagian dari metode penelitian kami dengan mengimplementasikan metode-metode e-learning dalam aktivitas belajar bahasa Jerman untuk pemula.

Abstract

Teaching and learning are not complete without assessment which is needed to measure the students capability and achievement in language learning. Assessment is an essential activity and as an integral part of teaching learning process and it is used to see whether the teaching and learning process can run as expected and reach the desired objectives. One particular form to assess the students reading comprehension is by using authentic assessment. Authentic assessment requires demands on teachers professional skills since it calls for independent judgment and interpretation of student performance. It takes times and careful planning to be used effectively However, most teachers do not feel adequately prepared and mastered in assessing their students by using an authentic assessment. The problems appear while the teachers start to apply it. The main contribution of this study is to determine the problems of two English teachers in implementing and applying an authentic assessment on reading comprehension. Using descriptive qualitative method and semi-structured interview administered to two English teachers, the researcher observes directly to confirm the data obtained from English teachers who use authentic assessment in their reading comprehension class and this study highlights some findings those are the teachers problems in implementing an authentic assessment. Based on the observation and interview the researcher finds several difficulties that faced by the teacher in preparing, applying and implementing the authentic assessment on students reading comprehension.

Abstract

The approach is one of the components of learning. It is a strarting point of point of view of the teacher in the teacing-learning process.It refers to the nation about the occurence of a process of a general nature. The learning approach, broadly, is devided into two categories, namely teacher-centered and student-centered approach. A teacher, in teacher-centered approach, plays a role as an expert and center of learning that promotes his good experience in order to inspire and simulate the students.While, in the student-centered  appoach, a role of teacher is just as a motivator and facilitator of leearning that encourages the students to be actively involved in teacheng-learning process. Some following approaches can be applied in the language learning and evaluation, that is: traditional approach, discrete approach, integrative approach, pragmatic and communicative approach.
