Abstract

This research is conducted to apply Fuzzy Logic which is implemented in short term load forecasting. Data that is used for short term load forecasting are historical load data and temperature data. The data is analyzed to learn the load characteristic of Sumbar System which is used as references for making rules in Fuzzy Logic. The Fuzzy Logic model is made using fuzzy logic toolbox that is provided by Matlab. The forecasting result is compared with actual load. It is seen from experiment that the advantage of Fuzzy Logic is its rules that are made from supplied data. Keyword :       Fuzzy Logic, load forecasting, rules.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the improvement of student learning outcomes applying Elektrik Kumanda Teknikleri Simulatoru (EKTS) software on Electromagnetic Control in class XII TITL SMKN 1 Batipuh. The design is quasi-experimental design with one group pretest-posttets design . The subjects were students of class XII TITL N 1 Batipuh. The data were analyzed using gain score. The result showed that the averages score of pretest is 67.08, and the averages score of posttest is 85. These results indicate that there are an increase in learning outcomes with the averages 0.555 which is categorized as medium improvement.

Abstract

The study was to test the effectiveness of the Web-Based Interactive Blended Learning Model (BLIBW) for subjects in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Padang State University. The design that the researcher employed was a quasi-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest, which was conducted on a group of students consisting of 30 people and the test was conducted for two times. The effectiveness of BLIBW Model was tested by comparing the average pretest scores and the average posttest scores both in the first trial and the second trial. The average prestest and posttest scores in the first trial were 14.13 and 33.80. The increase in the average score was significant at alpha 0.05. Then, the average pretest and posttest scores in the second trial were 18.67 and 47.03. The result was also significant at alpha 0.05. The effectiveness of BLIBW Model in the second trial was higher than in the first test. Those result were not entirely satisfactory and it might be caused several weaknesses in both tests such as: the number of sessions were limited, there was only one subject, and the number of students who were subjected too limited. However, the researcher would like to conclude that the BLIBW Model might be implemented as a replacement alternative for the face-to-face instruction.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to find the improving of student learning outcomes in applying learning media Trainer PLC OMRON and software CX-Programmer on the Electric Motor Installation  Course (PLC) in Class XII TIPTL SMK Negeri 1 Bukittinggi. The design was quasi-experiment with one group pretest-posttest time series design. The subject were the student of class XII TIPTL SMK Negeri 1 Bukittinggi. The data were analyzed by using Gain score. In this study, the pretest and posttest were conducted twice, with the averages score of pretest 1 = 38,75, pretest 2 = 45,5, posttest 1 = 64,5 and posttest 2 = 85,8. These result indicate that the learning outcomes increase with the averages Gain score 1 = 0,407 categorized as medium, and Gain score 2 = 0,7625 categorized as high.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dalam menerapkan metode pembelajaran aktif Quiz Team pada mata pelajaran Memahami Dasar Dasar Elektronika Kelas X TITL SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Padang. Desain penelitian ini adalah Pre-eksperimental  dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X TITL SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Padang. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan Gain Score. Dalamm penelitian ini rata-rata pretest  adalah 61,09 dan rata-rata nilai posttest adalah 87,97. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar dengan  rata-rata 0,69 kategori sedang.

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) develop learner worksheets lesson installation of electric lighting and (2) to describe the response of teachers on implementation-based learning, project based learning on subjects of installation of lighting electricity. This research is a research and development (R&D) and ADDIE model. This stage of the analysis is the process that will determine the learning process that will be studied learners. The stage design was developed from the initial draft of the learning process and assessment instruments. The stage of development is based on the initial draft of the repair validation expert lecturers and teachers, then conducted a limited trial in SMK Negeri 2 Lubuk Basung. Stage of implementation of the testing results of tests done learning learners and test project to find out the effectiveness of learner worksheets developed. This stage is also done charging the response question form filled out by teachers and learners. the last stage is evaluation, which the researchers evaluate at each phase of the development of learning materials worksheet learners further revision to find out if learning materials developed for already applied or Yet in learning. Data capture instrument in the research on learner worksheets, now the response of teachers and learners. Validity of data analysis techniques and materials now response using category scale of four. The results showed that in the aspect of validation, a worksheet developed learners have the average percentage in the valid criteria with the percentage of 83.33%. Aspects of the practicalities, learner worksheets developed have the average percentage in the practical value of the percentage criterion 88.64%. The aspect of effectiveness, the learner worksheets developed in criteria effective percentage that has good value knowledge 76.15% nor the project measured from the ketuntasan of classical learning to learners. The conclusion to be drawn that the learner worksheets based project based learning on subjects of installation of electric lighting already fits the criteria of a valid, practical and effective to use.
