Abstract

Language in an advertisement has two functions. The first is language as a means of communication and the second is language as a means of forming social reality. The first function deals with its use as a source of information, while the second deals with its use as a creative art in engineering expected world or condition. As a source of information, the language becomes a means of delivering true information about a certain product being advertised to people. It describes all the details of the product, such as the use, advantages, and ease. This is intended to make consumers know well about the product and decide t buy it. As a means of forming social reality, the language in advertisement is used to create an image about the product for the consumers. This process of building image represents in making association between the product and life style, social class, and symbols of modernity. Keywords: advertisement, image, and communication.

Abstract

Abstract: Folklore is a part of medium to enhancing children’s intelligence. Motivation to perform well (need for achievement) is mentality aspect that most necessary for society which been developing. That mentality aspect could be inspired from society’s own folklore. Therefore its vital to accustom the tell a story activity, either in school and family. Story socialization is early stage from reading habit, inner experience, and investing values as child’s behavioral reference standards in life. Tell a story activity also the part of child stimulation in the form of verbal, nonverbal, intellectual, and tactile. Story can have a positive impact to child’s socio-emotional aspect. Through tell a story activity, parent and teacher can train child’s emotion in order to improving emotional intelligence. Keywords: tell a story, children, emotional intelligence.

Abstract

Abstract: A nation’s reality showing cultural diversity, directed us to grasp multiculturalism principle. In this principle, there’s consciousness that nation is not singular, but plural, consist of many different components. Historical realities showing that Indonesian nation stand in midst cultural diversity. We can call Indonesia as most complete plural country in the world, beside America. In America, we know et pluribus unum slogan, resemble with bhineka tunggal ika, literally stand for many but one. Latest condition showed that cultural diversity became source of conflict between nations-components. Multidimensional crisis suffered by Indonesian nation still not ending yet. Therefore, we need explicit and clear action and step to maintain society’s attitude to care, respect, and understand cultural diversity values that become fundament of this nation and state. One of its steps is make cultural pluralism as educational strategy at school. Keywords: multiculturalism and multiculturalism education.

Abstract

Abstract: Text book is books that function as student reference as learning media (instructional). Text books have important role on every education system, inside class or outside class. Text book content developed based on prevailing curriculum. Therefore, text book must standardized, and seen as collection of knowledge about every side of life. Its have to be prepared on its comprehensiveness and its presentation, so can give facility to autonomous learning activity, on its substance or its method. Text book is a part of learning equipment that very important to accelerate, enhance, and educate student. Test books must be designed carefully to function as effective learning tools. Abstract

pada bangunan yang ada saat ini seringkali tidak memperhatikan iklim setempat manum demikian saat ini trend tersebut banyak diminati, seperti contohnya pada desain rumah minimalis yang harganya cukup terjangkau dan bergaya moderen. Untuk itu maka perlu di kembangkan desain inovatif yang sesuai dengan rumah tinggal berdasarkan prinsip bioclimatik dengan menggunakan ventilasi terbuka yang memperdulikan kondisi ikilm setempat. Penelitian ini berupaya menemukan dan menganalisa kebutuhan ventilasi pada lokasi penelitian serta kesesuaiannya dengan kebutuhan standart pada lokasi penelitian di perumahan di Graha Estetika.Bangunan Rumah tinggal idealnya memiliki ventilasi dan fasilitas-fasilitas terbuka lain yang sesuai dengan iklim tropis di lingkunannya. Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan cara survey di setiap rumah di Graha Estetika dengan metode wawancara kepada pemilik rumah untuk mengetahui kenyamanan rumah yang menggunakan AC dan ventilasi terbuka. Penekanan penelitian juga bertujuan mengetahui dimensi panjang dan lebar ventilasi pada Graha Estetika di Semarang serta mendata beberapa bentuk ventilasi yang sesuai pada iklim tropis , dengan cara menganalisa bahan yang digunakan pada material ventilasi di Graha Estetika Semarang. Selain itu juga dilakukan pemetaan jumlah ventilasi yang tertutup dengan kaca pada berapa rumah tinggal.Hasil penelitian berupaya menunjukkan upaya-upaya yang telah dilakukan oleh pemilik bangunan dalam merubah rumah tinggalnya agar menjadi nyaman dengan iklim setempat.Kata kunci : desain inovatif ,prinsip bioclimatik , solar energi

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan sikap dan pendapat guru SMP/MTs terhada penentuan prioritas nilai pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran sastra remaja, genre, dan stratepenyajian bahan ajar. Subjek penelitian adalah guru Bahasa Indonesia di DIY dengan sampel sebanya30 orang, hadir 24 orang, dari keempat kabupaten dan satu Kota Madya. Pengumpulan data dilakukalewat angket, wawancara, dan sumbang saran di FGD. Data dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptkualitatif dan penghitungan persentase. Hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut. (1) Penentuan prioritanilai-nilai karakter perlu untuk memudahkan pemantauan, pengawasan, dan penilaian. Nilai karaktyang dipilih guru adalah nilai religius, jujur, cinta tanah air, peduli lingkungan, tanggung jawab, serkreatif, gemar membaca, disiplin, dan mandiri. (2) Pemilihan genre tampak masih terpola padpembagian sastra kanonik-dewasa, namun ia harus mencakup keseluruhan genre sastra remaja. (3)Penyajian bahan ajar ditekankan pada yang mendasarkan diri pada prinsip pembelajaran kontekstuadan multintelenjjens dengan teknik penilaian otentik. Kata Kunci: Pengembangan bahan ajar, pendidikan karakter, sastra remaja DETERMINING THE PRIORITY OF THE CHARACTER EDUCATION VALUES IN ADOLESCENT LITERATURE TEACHING Abstract: This study aims to describe the attitude and opinions of SMP/MTs teachers on thedetermination of the priority of the character education values in adolescent literature teaching, genrand strategies of the material presentation. The subjects were teachers teaching Bahasa Indonesia Yogyakarta Special Province with a sample of 30 teachers (24 teachers were present) coming from thfour regerncies and one municipality. The data were collected using questionnaires, interviews, anddiscussion in a Forum Group Discussion. The data were analyzed using the qualitative descriptivtechnique and using proportion. The findings of the study were as follows: (1) the determination of thpriority of the character education values was necessary for facilitating the monitoring, supervisingand assessing. The character values chosen by teachers were religious values, honesty, the love to thenation, care to the environment, responsibility, creativity, loving reading, discipline, and being seldependent. (2) The choice of genre seemed to follow the categorization of adolescent-canoniliterature, but it must cover all the adolescent literature genre. (3) The presentation of the materiaemphasized on the contextual-based and multiintelligence-based teaching principles using authentassessment. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model panduan pendidik pengajaran sastra berbasis pendidikan karakter. Penelitian dilakukan dengan melibatkan 10 guru bahasa Indonesia, 150 siswa kelas 2 dari 10 sekolah, serta empat ketua MGMP kabupaten/kota dan satu ketua MGMP provinsi. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini adalah human instrument, wawancara, observasi, angket, dan format penelaahan. Analisis data dilakukan melalui teknik deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persoalan yang dihadapi oleh para guru adalah kurangnya sumber-sumber pengayaan untuk mengembangkan pembelajaran sastra, baik dalam bentuk perangkat pembelajaran maupun praktinya di kelas, yang diintegrasikan dengan pendidikan karakter. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan buku panduan pengajaran sastra berbasis pendidikan karakter.

Abstract

Orthotic and Prosthetic Instalation of Ortopedic Hospital of production unit in the making of prosthesis orthosis in Indonesia. So far there is no technician status which contains finishing time for all orders which are being processed . This condition causes the delay in order finishing time. Therefore, it needs information system which can make task allocation model (new order) better. After system analysis was done to find out the needs of the system, the information system of the process of prosthesis orthosis product order is designed. The existing system analysis is carried out by using IDEF0 language while the setting up plan for the information system proposed is carried out by using object oriented approach and using UML language.At the database setting up level by using Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) approach needs adjustment from object oriented approach to relational approach, then user interface model are designed later. The next step, program codes were made by giving attention to use case diagram and interaction diagram . From the setting up for information system were found out some inputs in the forms of forms for login, the data of patients, products, raw materials needed, raw materials, order, and technician data. The output were in the forms of early warning for order, order reports, the order slips, the letter of order and the acknowledge receipt of the order. From the validation result to the functions in the application was found out that the functions tested were valid or worked well.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan eksistensi tokoh wanita dalam novel-novel Kuntowijoyo. Sumber data penelitian adalah empat buah novel karya Kuntowijoyo, yaitu: (1) Khotbah di Atas Bukit, (2) Pasar, (3) Mantra Penjinak Ular, dan (4) Wasripin dan Satinah. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik studi dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan model analisis interaktif, sehingga pengumpulan dan analisis data dikerjakan secara simultan. Hasil penelitian sebagai berikut. Pertama, tokoh wanita tidak sekadar sebagai pelengkap dari dominasi tokoh laki-laki, tetapi dihadirkan secara utuh melalui peran individu, keluarga, dan sosialnya. Kedua, tokoh wanita hadir dengan kemandirian, dapat bersikap dan menentukan pilihan sendiri, dan berada sejajar dengan laki-laki. Ketiga, salah satu cara penggambaran kemandirian yakni dengan melekatkan pekerjaan pada diri tokoh wanita yang memungkinkan menghidupi diri sendiri. Kata Kunci: tokoh wanita, kemandirian, dan dominasi laki-laki THE FEMALE FIGURES’ AUTONOMY IN KUNTOWIJOYO’S NOVELS Abstract This research aims at describing the existence of female figures in Kuntowijoyo’s novels. The research data resources are four novels of Kuntowijoyo; (1) Khotbah di Atas Bukit, (2) Pasar, (3) Mantra Penjinak Ular, dan (4) Wasripin dan Satinah. The data were collected using the documentation technique. The interactive data analysis model was used so that data collection and analysis were con- ducted simultaneously. The research findings are as follows. First, the female figures are not merely complementary to the domination of the male counterparts, but they are present holistically through their individual, familial, and social roles. Second, the female figures are present with autonomy, ability to act and make self-decision, and are at the same level as men. Third, one of the ways of depicting autonomy is through attaching the job on the female figures which enable them to support themselves. Keywords: female figures, autonomy, and male domination
