Abstract

ABSTRACT - This research  aimed  to know,  (1)  The existence of significant influence’s  Group Investigation  model towards the results study of Biology class X SMAN 2 Karanganyar, (2) The existence of significant influence’s creativity level towards the results study of Biology students in class X SMAN 2 Karanganyar, (3) The  interaction of significant influence’s between Group Investigation  model and creativity level towards the results study of Biology students in class X SMAN 2 Karanganyar. This research is Quasi Experimental Research. Subject in this research are students class X  SMAN 2 Karanganyar semester I  academic year  2011/2012.  Sample in this research are 2 class there are class X2 as control class and class X4 as experiment class. Technique of  data collection  test, questionnaire and observation sheet. Test is used to measure of cognitif domain and student creativity level, questionnaire is used to measure of afective domain, and observation sheet is used to measure of psikomotoric domain. Technique of data analysis use two ways Varians Analysis (ANAVA) and continuation test use double comparation Scheffe method. Based the result of this research can conclude are, (1) there is significant influence using learning model Group Investigation  towards the results study of Biology, (2) there is significant influence creativity level students towards the results study of Biology, (3) there is no interaction of significant influence’s between Group Investigation   model and creativity level  towards the results study of Biology. The result of continuation test use  Scheffe  method  can conclude are,  (1)  there is significant influence between  column  A1  (using  Group Investigation  model)  and  column  A2 (using Conventional model)  towards the results study of Biology, and (2) there is significant influence between row B1  (high level creativity) and  row B2  (low level creativity)  towards the results study of Biology. The case must be concern in implementation of learning model Group Investigation  for research to be effective are students psychological factors like as readiness students capability to learning be autonomous and the students anxienty with sub topic for investigated.   Keywords: Group Investigation, Creativity, Result Study of Biologi

Abstract

ABSTRACT – The aim of this research was to improve creative thinking skill of students in class X-10 SMA Negeri 3 Surakarta year 2011/2012, which consist of 5 aspect, fluency, flexibility, originality, elaboration and evaluation. Classroom Action Research was used in this research, which has four phases, they are  planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Data of the research were collected by using observation sheet, test, questionare, and interview. The data were analyzed by qualitative descriptive method. The validity of data was verified through triangulation technique of data collecting method. The results showed the percentage of every aspect of creative thinking skills based test on a first cycle have not gain thet targets, achievement of Fluency aspect is 69,70%, then 63.64% for Flexibility, 47.73% for Originality, 56.82% for Elaboration, and 49.24% for Evaluation. The results of the second cycle  increased, but there are aspects that have not reached the target. Result for each aspect was 79.55% for Fluency, 73.11% for Flexibility, Originality of 54.55%, 60.23% for Elaboration, and Evaluation of 57.58%. All aspects have not fulfill of the target yet, so the action continued to third cycle. The results achieved in the third cycle, Fluency aspects of 85.86%, 78.03% for flexibility, 63.64% for Originality, 60.23% for Elaboration, and Evaluation of 62.12%. All aspects of creative thinking skills already outreach the target, so the action was stopped. The conclusion of this research described that the Problem Based learningn (PBL) improve creative thinking skill in biology subject learning of students at class X-10 SMA Negeri 3 Surakarta year 2011/2012. Abstract

ABSTRACT – Purpose of the researched is to improve the ability to rational thinkingh of through application of Guided Inquiry Strategies on all cognitive dimensions of VII F I Class Students SMP 5 Surakarta years 2011/2012. The research is an action research study Classroom what is done in several cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages: planning, action, observation and reflection. The research subjects are VIII-F Class Students SMP 5 Surakarta years 2011/2012. The data obtained by observation of written test. Techniques of data analysis using descriptive analysis technique. Validating data using triangulation research method. The research was motivated by the observation of the observations made on the VII-F class student of SMP 5 Surakarta. The results showed that the average achievement scores of rational thinking ability to process information on aspects on the 1st cycle by 56.15%, 69.73% in 2nd, and 70.68% in 3rd. Aspects of solving problems on 1st cycle by 38.22%, 67.83% in the second, 67.71%in 3rd . Aspects of a decision on the 1st cycle by 56.87%, 63.51% the second and 71% on 3rd.. The increase that occurs in every cycle showed that Guided Inquiry Learning model can improve the ability of rational thinking. Abstract

ABSTRACT – This study was aimed to know: (1) The influence of the use of  Inquiring Minds Want  To Know  learning strategy in Biology  learning  towards  learning  achievement of the second grade students of SMA Negeri Kebakkramat. (2) The influence of the level of students learning activity towards learning achievement of the second grade students  of  SMA  Negeri  Kebakkramat. (3)  Whether  or  not  there  is  an interaction between the  Inquiring  Minds  Want  To Know  learning  strategy  and  the  students learning  activity  towards  learning  achievement  in Biology  of  the  second grade students of SMA Negeri Kebakkramat in the academic year of 2011/2012. The  population of  this  study  was  all  of  the  second grade  students  of  SMA Negeri Kebakkramat in the second semester of the academic year of 2011/2012. The sample  of  the  study  were  XI  IPA  2 students  as  the  experiment  class  and  XI  IPA  3 students  as  the  control  class, taken  by  Cluster  Random  Sampling. The  learning strategy  and the  learning  activity  were  considered to be  the  independent  variable while learning achievement in Biology became the dependent variable. The data was collected using documentation technique,  test, questionnaire, and observation sheet. The technique used to analyze the data was two-way Analysis of Variance (Anava). This  study  was  a  Quasi  Experimental  Research  with  Randomized Control  Only Design. The  results  of  the  study  can be  concluded as  follows:  (1)  There  is  a significant  influence  of  applying  Inquiring  Minds  Want  To Know  learning  strategy towards  affective  and psycomotoric  learning  achievement  in  Biology  of  the  second grade students of SMA Negeri Kebakkramat, yet there is no significant influence on cognitive  ones. (2)  There  is  an influence  of  students  learning  activity  towards cognitive, affective and psycomotoric learning achievement in Biology of the second grade  students  of  SMA  Negeri  Kebakkramat. (3)  There  is  no interaction between Inquiring  Minds  Want  To Know  learning  strategy  and students  learning  activity towards cognitive, affective and psycomotoric learning achievement in Biology of the second grade students of SMA Negeri Kebakkramat. Abstract

ABSTRACT – The purposes of the research is to increase students learning activities through the implementation of inquiring minds want to know learning strategy in students of X-7 Class SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta School Years 2011/ 2012.  This research is a  Classroom Action Research    with  2  cycle of action. Each cycle consisting of 4 phases which is planning, action, observation, and reflection. Observational subject is students of X-7 Class SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta school years 2011  / 2012. Observational data  obtained from the questionnaire, observation, and interview. Technical analysis of data is using descriptive qualitative. Validate data by use of triangulation techic.  Result of the research to prove that with action performing through learning strategy purpose  inquiring minds want to know  can increase students learning activities in students of X-7 Class SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta School Years 2011/ 2012. Averagely assesses percentage each indicator of students  learning activities based on questionnaire data for pre cycle was 72,62%, first cycle was 78,07% (worked up 5,45%) and second cycle was 81,36% (worked up 3,29%). Meanwhile on a percentage point each indicator of students  learning activities based on observation data for pre cycle was 71,31% and first cycle was 71,40% (worked up 0,09%). Averagely assesses percentage each indicator of students learning activities  based on observation data for second cycle was 79,01%  (worked up 8,61%). The result of interview with student indicates that implementation of  inquiring minds want to know  learning strategy can increase student curiousity by search in any information source. Base that result gets to be concluded that learning strategy purpose  inquiring minds want to know  can increase students learning activities of X-7 Class SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta School Years 2011/ 2012. Abstract

ABSTRACT - This research aims to improve student motivation in biology learning with implementation of Picture and Picture in grade students in SMP N 14 Surakarta of 2011/2012 academic year. This study is a Classroom Action Research with the research design consisting of two cycles and each cycle consisting of 4 stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were grade students of SMP N 14 Surakarta of 2011/2012 academic year, that are 40 students. The data collection was conducted using questionnaire, observation and interview methods. The data analysis technique employed in this research was qualitative analysis consisting of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion or verification. The result of research showed that The means gain percent of each indicator of the students’ motivation questionnaire for pre cycle was 72, 09%,, cycle I was 74,09 %and cycle II was 79,96%. The means gain percent of each indicator of the students’ motivation observation for pre cycle was 50,9%, cycle I was 74,06 % and cycle II was 86,87%. According to the result above it means that applying of Picture And Picture  learning method can improve students motivation was 35,97% from result of observation and 10,5 % from result of questionare on class VIII D SMP N 14 Surakarta of 2011/2012 academic year   Keyword: Picture and Picture , students’ motivation

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini sebagai langkah awal untuk meneliti peran cacing tanah terhadap hara N dan C didaerah berkapur. Penelitian dilakukan pada musim penghujan dilahan berbagai system budidaya tanaman yang meliputi 13 SPL tanaman: (1) jati, (2) mahoni, (3) sengon, (4) akasia, (5) jati, akasia, (6) jati, jambumete, (7) mahoni, ketela pohon, (8)tebu, (9) kacang tanah, (10) jagung, (11) sawah irigasi, (12) sawah tadah hujan dan (13) lahan terlantar/semak. Lokasi penelitian pada lahan tanah berkapur dengan kemiringan 0- 15 %., Sampel cacing tanah diambil secara manual dengan menggunakan metode monolit (25 x 25 x 30 cm3). Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan mengenai eksistensi cacing tanah ditinjau dari kepadatan dan biomasa cacing tanah pada lingkungan berbagai system budidaya tanaman dilahan berkapur. Kepadatan populasi cacing tanah yang tertinggi adalah 176 individu/m2 pada budidaya tanaman Kacang Tanah. Sedang kepadatan populasi cacing tanah terendah dari 13 SPL didapatkan pada budidaya tanaman Sengon yaitu 16 individu/ m2. Untuk biomasa tertinggi ada pada budidaya tanaman Akasia yaitu 112,32 gram/m2 dan yang terendah ada pada polikultur jati-akasia 4,64 gram/m2. Kesimpulan yang didapat pada hasil penelitian adalah: (1) ada perbedaan eksistensi cacing tanah pada berbagai sistem budidaya tanaman di lahan berkapur ditinjau dari kepadatan dan biomasa. (2) Perbedaan eksistensi cacing tanah pada berbagai system budidaya tanaman dilahan berkapur disebabkan oleh perbedaan iklim mikro dan kualitas seresah Kata kunci : Eksistensi cacng tanah, system budidaya tanaman

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini sebagai berikut (1). Menguji pengaruh model pembelajaran aktif Avtive Knowlegde Sharing terhadap hasil belajar biologi kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar  tahun pelajaran 2011/ 2012 (2). Menguji pengaruh minat belajar siswa terhadap hasil belajar biologi kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar tahun pelajaran 2011 2012 (3). Menguji ada tidaknya interaksi antara model pembelajaran aktif Active Knowledge Sharing dan minat siswa terhadap hasil belajar biologi kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar tahun pelajaran 2011/ 2012. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Eksperimen Semu (Quasi Experimental Research) menggunakan Posttest Only Nonequivalent Control Gruop Design. Model pembelajaran sebagai variabel bebas, minat sebagai variabel moderator, dan hasil belajar sebagai variabel terikat. Populasi penelitian ini adalah adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA N 2 Karanganyar tahun pelajaran 2011/2012. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X.1 sebagai kelas kontrol dan siswa kelas X.2 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan “Cluster Random sampling”. Teknik pengumpulan data hasil belajar ranah kognitif menggunakan teknik tes, angket, dan lembar observasi. Pengukuran minat menggunakan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan anava. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian ini sebagai berikut 1). Model Active Knowledge Sharing berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar biologi ranah kognitif dengan P-value 0,024, sedangkan pada ranah afektif dan ranah psikomotor tidak berpengaruh pada siswa kelas X SMA N 2 Karanganyar dengan P-value 0,059 dan 0,274; 2). Tidak terdapat pengaruh antara minat tinggi, sedang, dan rendah terhadap hasil belajar biologi pada ranah kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor pada siswa kelas X SMA N 2  Karanganyar dengan P-value 0,742; 0,702 dan 0,805; 3). Tidak ada interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan minat belajar terhadap hasil belajar biologi siswa SMA N 2 Karanganyar dengan P-value 0,852; 0,483; dan 0,717.   Kata kunci:  Model  Active Knowledge Sharing, hasil belajar, dan minat.

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model Learning Cycle 7E terhadap motivasi belajar biologi siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Banyudono tahun 2011/2012. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu (Quasi experiment research). Desain penelitian adalah Posttest Only Control Design dengan menerapkan model Learning Cycle 7E pada kelompok eksperimen dan model pembelajaran konvensional pada kelompok kontrol. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Banyudono tahun pelajaran 2011/2012. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan Cluster Random Sampling. Teknik pengukuran data motivasi belajar siswa menggunakan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh nilai sig. (α) = 0,039. Oleh karena nilai sig. (α) < 0,05 dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh secara signifikan penerapan model Learning Cycle 7E terhadap motivasi belajar siswa pada siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Banyudono tahun 2011/2012.   Kata Kunci: Learning Cycle 7E, motivasi belajar siswa

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Cacing Tanah atau Earthworm , merupakan makrofauna tanah yang saat ini banyak dibudidayakan untuk berbagai kepentingan. Namun sementara banyak orang yang tidak peduli dengan keberadaan nya dikarena dianggap tidak bermanfaat dan kurang menguntungkan. Fakta menunjukkan bahwa banyak perilaku petani dengan ketidak tahuan nya menggunakan pupuk kimia sintetis untuk untuk meningkatkan produk pertanian namun disisi lain banyak cacing tanah yang mati dikarenakan cacing tanah sangat sensitif terhadap bahan kimia tersebut. Kajian ilmiah ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap kejelasan mengenai peran cacing tanah terhadap lingkungan, hubungannya dengan kesuburan tanah. Kesuburan tersebut berhubungan dengan faktor fisik, kimia dan biologi tanah. Dari kajian ilmiah ini dapat memperjelas peran cacing tanah terhadap lingkungan dan dan menjaga kualitas serta sekaligus memberikan informasi dan warning bagi para petani untuk tidak menggunakan pupuk kimia.   Kata Kunci: Cacing tanah, lingkungan, kualitas tanah.
