Abstract

Participation of Group Members in Processing and Marketing of Loloh Cemcemin Penglipuran Tourism Village, Bangli Regency, Bali Province. Group participation in creating and developing local village food products is useful formaintaining the sustainability of local products and creating new jobs. LolohCemcemProduction Group of Penglipuran is one of groups that develops local villagefood products that have the potential to be developed and is able to create jobs.However, efforts in developing local products and increasing this group are also relatedto group membership that has relations in production, so that the group participation isexpected to be able to overcome the obstacles faced. The purpose of this study was todetermine the level of participation of group members in processing and marketing.The research location took place in Penglipuran Tourism Village, Bangli Sub-District,Bangli Regency. The analytical method used was descriptive statistical analysis.Theresults showed that the participation of group members in processing of Loloh Cemcemwas classified in the high category with a score of 69.72% with detailed indicators ofdecision making included reaching a score of 66.78%, implementation indicatorsreaching a score of 71.56%, the evaluation indicator reached a score of 59.58%, and theindicator of enjoying the results reached a score of 75.15%. The level of participation ofgroup members in the Loloh Cemcem marketing was in the low category with a score of58.51% with details on the decision-making indicators reaching a score of 55.93%, theimplementation indicator classified reached a score of 49.37%. The evaluation indicators reached a score of 60%, and the indicator of enjoying the results reached witha score of 68.75%.The suggestion that can be given to the group is that the participationof members in the group must be increased especially in loloh members are expected tobe more courageous in conveying ideas and suggestions in groups.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui dampak pariwisata terhadap solidaritas sosial masyarakat adat di Ubud. Analisis sosiologi diaplikasikan pada dua tipe masyarakat adat: Subak Padangtegal dan Desa Adat Junjungan. Enam puluh responden dipilih secara purposive untuk menilai dampak pariwisata terhadap enam variable solidaritas sosial melalui depth-interview dipadukan dengan participant-observation, yaitu: (1) rasa saling memiliki atau simpati sebagai sebuah komunitas, (2) kemauan dan kesediaan untuk berkorban kepada anggota komunitasnya, (3) kekhawatiran, kecemasan, dan tekanan dalam komunitas, (4) tanggung jawab moral, (5) persahabatan dan persaudaraan dalam komunitas, dan (6) keramahtamahan, tatakrama dalam komunitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di secara umum baik di Subak Padangtegal dan Desa Adat Junjungan pariwisata berdampak positif terhadap solidaritas sosial dengan pengecualian dampak negatif pada variable tekanan dalam komunitas dan pada Subak Padangtegal ditemukan pada variabel tanggung jawab moral. Kata Kunci: Dampak Pariwisata, Solidaritas Sosial, Masyarakat Adat, Subak, Desa Adat, Bali. ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to examine tourism impact on social solidarity in Ubud customary communities. Sociological analysis is grounded on two types of customary communities: Subak Padangtegal and Desa Adat Junjungan. Sixty respondents were chosen to assess six social solidarity variables through depth-interview combined with participant observation methods as follows: (1) feelings of belonging together or sympathy as a community, (2) feelings of altruism to community members, (3) community distress, (4) moral obligation, (5) friendship, and (6) politeness and courtesy of people in the village. Research finding shows that, in general, both in Subak Padangtegal and Desa Adat Junjungan, tourism influenced social solidarity in positive ways with some exceptions were found on community distress variable and in Subak Padangtegal was also on moral obligation variable. Abstract

Abstract Farmers? Motivation in Horticultural Farming in Candikuning Tourism Village, Baturiti Subdistrict, Tabanan Regency Horticultural farming in tourism destination is supposedly influenced by motivation who are able to encourage themselves who are not included in farmer community to carry out holticultural farming activities in the Candikuning Tourism Village. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of farmers? motivation who are not included in farmer community in terms of intrinsic and extrinsic aspect in Horticultural Farming in Candikuning Tourism Village. The results show that the level of farmers? motivation falls into high category with an average score of 3.67 (73.44%) of the total maximum score. This is supported by the intrinsic motivation included in the high category with an average score of 3.91 (78.34%) of the total maximum score and extrinsic motivation included in the high category with an average score of 3.42 (68.53%) of the total maximum score. So that the level of farmers? motivation in horticultural farming is high. The agricultural extension workers that assist the farming activity in Candikuning Village should counsel the farmers actively. The farmers should form a farmer?s forum in order to facilitate them to gain information about their farming activity. Abstract

Subak Sembung Development Strategy As A Tourist Attraction In The Urban Area Tourism development in Bali is culture-based tourism. One of them is Subak SembungEcotourism which is located in Peguyangan Village, North Denpasar District, DenpasarMuniciplity. Its strategic location in the city center makes Subak Sembung facechallenges in land conversion. Development efforts needed to make Subak Sembung atourist attraction as well as a traditional organization in agriculture. The purpose of thisstudy was to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of SubakSembung, formulate alternative strategies, and determine priority strategies to developSubak Sembung as a tourist attraction in urban areas. The results of the SWOT matrixproduced several alternative strategies, namely market expansion, collaboration withgovernment and external entrepreneurs, developing agricultural-based touristattractions, holding promotions, arousing agricultural activities and religious rituals,development efforts that were in accordance with the awig-awig of subak, formingmanagement bodies of ecotourism, and selective in developing tourism facilities. Thepriority strategy based on QSPM analysis was to establish an ecotourism managementbody so that Subak Sembung could be developed with better facilities. Subak membertogether with the government and other stakeholders must take advantage of theopportunities and strengths they have in order to minimize the weaknesses and threatsfaced by Subak Sembung. Based on the results of the study, the suggestion that can bemade is to form a more creative ecotourism management body so that the appreciationand activities of the community can be developed for the sustainability of Ecotourism inSubak Sembung.

Abstract

The Survival Strategies of Subak in the Tourism Area (in the Case of Subak of Semujan, Subdistrict of Ubud, Regency of Gianyar) Subak Semujan is a subak located in Ubud tourism center, now it is threatened by tourism itself. From 2012 to 2016 Subak Semujan has undergone land conversion of 15 hectares. This decrease is due to the conversion of agricultural land into tourism facilities such as hotels, bungalows, restaurants, and villas. The purpose of this research is to design the survival strategies of Subak of Semujan in the tourism area. Result of internal factor analysis Subak Semujan: a) strength: religious ceremony, awig-awig and pararem (traditional customs and rules), b) weakness: lack of interest of the farmers' children in the agricultural field, adopting lower innovation or technology. External factors: a) opportunities: social assistance and rice production facilities, farming extension, b) threats: tourism businesses require agricultural land, tourism employment opportunities. Based on the SWOT analysis, survival strategies are: a) S-O strategy of agricultural extension activities to be able to maintain agriculture in tourism area and to promote farming activities in the form of tour packages, b) S-T strategy: to make special rules related to land conversion and irrigation channel (awig- awig), c) W-O strategy: education and training through extension in adopting new innovations, agricultural extension for the younger generation, d) W-T Strategy: giving material and non-material incentives to the members of subak.

Abstract

Pattern Of Interaction Social In Members Of Hindu And Non Hindu In Subak Pemaket Awen Selatan Pengambengan Village Negara Subdistrict Jembrana Regency Subak is a customary law community that has socio-agrarian-religious-economic characteristics, Subakof Pemaket Awen Selatan is one of subaks in Bali which has members of Hindu and Non Hindu. Religious differences embraced by members of Subak Pamekat Awen Selatan have led to the potential for conflict. This study was located in Subak Pembaket Awen Selatan, Pengambengan Village, Sub-District of Negara, Jembrana District. The study was conducted from January to March 2017. The data collection used snowball sampling method, that is by determining the number of samples of each religion that consisted of 15 people. Method of analyzing data used descriptive qualitative method. The results showed that the pattern of interaction in Subakof Pembaket Awen Selatan is categorized into two, namely the associative patterns (cooperation, help, and accommodation) and dissociative patterns (contravenes and conflicts). The communication pattern in Subak Pembaket Awen Selatan was heterophilic that is, the communication that occurs between different beliefs and backgrounds. The interaction model explains the limits of values and beliefs shared by each religion. These limits are activities that may and should not be done when Hindu and non-Hindu members interact and perform the six tasks and functions of subak.

The Effect of Agriculture Land Conversion into Non-Agriculture Land toward Conflict Level in Subak Bau, Gianyar Regency The transfer of the function of agricultural land to non-agriculture in Subak Bau involves avery broad dimension. This can lead to conflicts that occur either internally or withoutsiders. With this, a management of conflict handling in Subak Bau is required throughcompromise and collaboration or problem solving. The transfer of the function ofagricultural land to non-agriculture will result in the impact of land conversion oneconomic resilience, social security, and the ecological resilience of the farmingcommunity.The purpose of this study was to analyse the level of conflict in Subak Bau and the effortsmade to manage conflicts that occurred, and describe the impact of the conversion ofagricultural land on social, economic, and ecological resilience. The method used in thisstudy was a qualitative analysis method with interviews and quantitative analysis methodwith surveys.In Subak Bau there was a conversion of 2.71 hectares of agricultural land to nonagriculture.There were several levels of conflict and management efforts made for problem solvingthrough compromise and collaboration or problem solving. Abstract

Abstract Satisfaction Level of Domestic Tourists upon Horticulture Products in Candikuning Tourism Village Tabanan Regency A raise in the number of tourism spots in Tabanan regency has brought its own challenges. In order to encourage tourists to purchase local products, a tourism spot has to have a certain attraction which identifies it among the other tourism spots. Candikuning is a tourism village in Tabanan regency which is recognized for its plentiful variety of agriculture products marketed at Pasar Mertha Sari (Mertha Sari Traditional Market). The objective of this research is to identify the dominant horticulture products that the tourists purchased/ consumed at Pasar Mertha Sari, and to study the satisfaction level of domestic tourists upon horticulture products planted by local farmers in Candikuning village. The data used in this research was obtained from observation, survey, interview, literature study and documentation which further analyzed using descriptive-qualitative method. The result shows that strawberries are dominant horticulture product consumed by tourists (14.44%). This number signifies a dependable potential of strawberry farming to support the horticulture farming business. In the other hand, the satisfaction level reached average score of 3.85 (77.15%) which indicates that tourists? satisfaction level is in the level of satisfied in terms of product quality, price, public facility, location, service, security and comfort. Several improvements in this tourism spot are required so that the tourists could reach higher satisfaction level especially in service, facility, reliability of product supply, product affordability, security, and comfort. In addition, upgrades are required for the shop itself where buyers and sellers met. The improvements are expected to attract more consumers to purchase and consume horticulture products planted in Candikuning village. Abstract

ABSTRACT Comparison between Farmers Household Income in The Subak of Tourism and Non Tourism Area Household income of farmers in the area of subak in tourism and non tourism is different. Diversity of household income of farmers in Subak tourism and non-tourism areas makes it worthy to be known in order to see the effect of tourism on agriculture, especially subak development. The research objective is to determine the ratio of household income from agriculture and non-agricultural sectors in the subak of tourism and non tourism area. Total income of farm households in the subak areas of tourism and non-tourism income derived from agriculture and non-farm sector income. Income households in the tourist areas of the agricultural sector amounted to 14.39% while the non-agricultural sector amounted to 85.61%. The households? income in non-tourism areas of the agricultural sector amounted to 35.64%. Research shows total income of farm households in the area of ??tourism and non-tourism is different. It can be seen from the t- test with a significance value of 0.000 with a t-value of 4.003. Subak farmers in the tourism area are  expected to set aside revenue from non agricultural sector to increase income from non-agricultural sector, farmers in the non tourism a part from relying on the main livelihood from agriculture  they also rely on non-agricultural sector as side income so that livelihoods of farmers' household income increased, members farming households are expected to remain as in average farmers have started entering unproductive age so the need for regeneration is highly required.
