Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to find out the effectiveness of think talk write learning model in terms of students conceptual understanding of mathematics. The population of this research was all grade eight students of Junior High School state of 5 Bandar Lampung in academic year of 2016-2017 which were distributed into 18 classes. The design of this research was posttest only control group design. The sampling was done by purposive sampling technique and it was chosen students of VIII.N and VIII.R class as samples. The research data were obtained by the essay test of conceptual understanding of mathematics. The data analysis of this research used -test. Based on the results of research and discussion, it was concluded that think talk write learning model wasnt effective in terms of students conceptual understanding of mathematics.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran think talk write ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Bandar Lampung. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2016-2017 yang terdistribusi dalam 18 kelas. Desain penelitian ini adalah posttest only control group design. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling dan terpilihlah siswa kelas VIII.N dan VIII.R sebagai sampel. Data penelitian diperoleh dari tes pemahaman konsep matematis berbentuk uraian. Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan uji-. Abstract

Geometry is one of mathematics’ material that explain about object in dimension one, two, or three. Geometry can give student to visual’s ability of their objects. Student that have good visual’s ability will effect imagination’s ability too, and it’s reverse. Geometry is mathematics’ material that is difficult to understand for student and to teach for teacher. This qualitative research is aim to (1) know students’ Mathematical mistakes to solve in geometry problem, and (2) know causes students’ mistakes in solving of geometry problem. The result show that (1) mistakes of geometry conceptual and procedural by middle and high student, (2) mistakes of procedural is more than conceptual, (3) mistakes conceptual is determine formula of area in dimension two, (4) mistakes of procedural is precisely draw plane, and count its area such as square, rectangle, trapezoid, and (5) causes students’ mistakes are student can’t read ruler and student is not understand concept of concept, and learning is not meaning-full. Keywords : mathematical mistakes, geometry, mistakes       procedural and conceptual

Abstract

This research aimed to know the effectiveness of cooperative learning of TPS open-ended problem based viewed by student’s mathematical creative thinking skill. The design which was used was pretest posttest control group design. The population of this research was all students of grade 8th of SMPN 2 Trimurjo in academic year of 2013/2014 that was distributed into eight classes, with the samples were students of VIII D and VIII E class who were taken by purposive random sampling technique. The research data were obtained by test. The conclusion of this research was the cooperative learning of TPS open-ended problem based could increase the student’s mathematical creative thinking skill. Thus, cooperative learning of TPS open-ended problem based was effective viewed by student’s mathematical creative thinking skill.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran kooperatif TPS berbasis open-ended problem ditinjau dari kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa. Desain yang digunakan adalah pretest posttest control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Trimurjo tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 yang terdistribusi dalam delapan kelas, dengan sampel yaitu siswa kelas VIIID dan VIIIE yang diambil dengan teknik purposive random sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran kooperatif TPS berbasis open-ended problem dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa. Abstract

This quasi-experimental research aimed to know the influence of guided Hypno-NLP learning model by students’ mathematical comunication skills. The population of this research was all students of grade eighth of SMP IT Baitul Muslim Way Jepara even semester in the academic years of 2013/2014 as many as 145 students that was distributed into five classes (VIII A-VIII E). The samples were taken by purposive sampling and it was obtained that VIII E as experimental class and VIII B as control class. This research used post-test only control design. The data of this research were the score of students’ mathematical comunication potency which was obtained by test. Based on the results of data analysis, it was obtained that the students’ mathematical comunication potency with Hypno-NLP learning was better than conventional learning model. Thus, it could be concluded the implementation of Hypno-NLP metode affect on the students’ mathematical communication skills.Penelitian eksperimen ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Hypno-NLP terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP IT Baitul Muslim Way Jepara semester genap tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 sebanyak 145 siswa yang terdistribusi dalam lima kelas (VIII A–VIII E). Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling dan diperoleh siswa kelas VIII E sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan siswa kelas VIII B sebagai kelompok kontrol. Penelitian ini menggunakan post-test only control design. Data penelitian ini berupa skor kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang diperoleh melalui tes. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dengan pembelajaran Hypno-NLP lebih baik dari pembelajaran konvensional. Dengan demikian,dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode Hypno-NLP berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.Kata kunci: Hypno-NLP, kemampuan komunikasi matematis, konvensional

Abstract

In the learning process, students are required to be active and master the materials which are explained by the teacher. But in fact, the activities and learning outcomes of students of VIII-C class of SMPN 1 Abung Barat Ogan Lima  Lampung Utara were still low. This study aimed to increase the activities and mathematics learning outcomes of students of VIII-C class of SMPN 1 Abung Barat Ogan Lima Lampung Utara in academic year of 2013/2014 by cooperative learning model of NHT type. The study was conducted into three cycles. Each cycle consists of the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The conclusion of this study was the implementation of cooperative learning model of NHT type could increase the activities and learning outcomes of  mathematics of students of VIII-C class of SMPN 1 Abung Barat Ogan Lima Lampung Utara in academic year of 2013/2014.Dalam proses pembelajaran, siswa dituntut aktif dan menguasai materi yang dijelaskan oleh guru. Namun kenyataannya, aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII-C SMPN 1 Abung Barat Ogan Lima Lampung Utara masih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII-C SMPN 1 Abung Barat Ogan Lima Lampung Utara tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT. Penelitian dilakukan dalam tiga siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar matematika pada siswa kelas VIII-C SMPN 1 Abung Barat Ogan Lima Lampung Utara tahun pelajaran 2013/2014.Kata kunci: aktivitas, hasil belajar, NHT

Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to know the influence of the realistic mathematics education towards student’s mathematical problem solving skill. The population of this research was all students of grade 7thof MTs Matlaul Anwar Padangcermin in academic year of 2013/2014 that was distributed into three classes. By purposive sampling technique, it was chosen students of VII A and VII B class as samples. The research data were obtained by the test of mathematical problem solving skill. Based on the result of hypothesis test, it was gotten the conclusion that the implementation of the realistic mathematics education did not affects student’s mathematical problem solving skill.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran matematika realistik terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII MTs Matlaul Anwar Padangcermin tahun ajaran 2013/2014 yang terdistribusi dalam tiga kelas. Dengan teknik purposive sampling, dipilih siswa kelas VII A dan VII B sebagai sampel. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran matematika realistik tidak berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa.Kata kunci: konvensional, pembelajaran matematika realistik, pemecahan masalah matematis

Abstract

Method of guiding inquiry learning is process where the teacher presents the principle elements in one lesson and then ask students to make generalizations. This study aimed to know the effect the application of the method Guided Inquiry to the motivation, activities and learning outcomes of mathematics students. The design of this research is one group posttest-only. The population was VIII grade students  of state Junior High School 3 Gadingrejo. The sample was class VIII-C were taken at random from seven class. The research data in the form of data learning motivation, learning activities and learning outcomes of mathematics were obtained through observation, questionnaires, and a formative test. Analyzing data in this study using the proportion test. Based on the results of research known that the method of Guided Inquiry influence motivation, activities, and learning outcomes of mathematics.Keywords:  Method of Guided Inquiry, learning motivation, learning activities, learning outcomes.

Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to know the influence of cooperative learning model of think pair share (TPS) type towards student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics. The population of this research was all students of grade VII even semester of SMP Negeri 2 Natar in academic year of 2012/2013 with 185 students that distributed into six classes. The samples were taken by purposive sampling technique and got VII E as experimental class and VII B as control class. The design of this research was posttest only control design. The research data was obtained by test of conceptual understanding of mathematics. Based on the result of data analysis, student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics of cooperative learning model of TPS type was better than conventional learning. Thus, it was concluded that cooperative learning model of TPS type influences student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembel­ajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share (TPS) terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to know the influence of cooperative learning model type of student teams achievement division (STAD) towards student’s mathematical conceptual understanding  The design research was post-test only control group design. The population of this research was eighth grade students in even semester of Junior High School State I Kotabumi in academic year 2012/2013.  The samples of this research were students of VIII D and VIII I class that obtained by purposive sampling. The collecting data technique was using test.  Based on result of research, obtained that the average of value of student’s mathematical conceptual understanding using cooperative learning model of STAD type is greater than using conventional learning. Thus, cooperative learning model of STAD type have influence of towards student’s mathematical conceptual understanding of  eighth grade students in even semester of Junior High School State I Kotabumi in academic year 2012/2013.Penelitian quasi eksperimen ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah post-test only control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII semester genap SMP Negeri 1 Kotabumi tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII D dan VIII I yang diperoleh dengan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes. Abstract

This research was a quasi experiment is aimed to know about the influence of cooperative learning method application to cooperative script method about understanding of student is mathematical concept.  The research design was pos-tes only.  Research population was the whole of eight-class student in second semester of metro three state Junior High Schoolin academic year of 2012/2013 by the samples VIII A and VIII B that were chosen from six classes by cluster random sampling method.  The data of research was student’s mathematical concept understanding and character.  According to the data analyisis result, it was obtained that the average of student’s mathematical concept understanding, and the achievement of behavior character and student’s social skill in cooperative learning model to cooperative script method were better than conventional learning.  The conclusion of research is the cooperative learning model with cooperative script method are better applied to the understanding of student’s mathematical concept.Keyword: Cooperative Script, mathematical concept
