Abstract

This study analyses the interaction between macroeconomic variables and indicators of small and medium enterprises (SME) in Indonesia. The analysed data include GDP, inflation, unemployment, poverty number, the number of SME business units, total SME employment, and SME investment. It uses Granger Causality Test and VECM. It suggests that macroeconomic variables and SME indicators have one causal direction. In addition, there are short term and long term relationships between macroeconomic variables and indicators of SME. The response of macroeconomic variables for indicators of SME takes 4.5-5 years to stabilize. Meanwhile, the contribution of SME to GDP indicator is likely to increase from quarter 1 to 64.

The research was conducted on students from departments of Sebelas Maret University who had undertaken com-petency-based learning; and used stratified sampling. Regression analysis was used to test the hypotheses. The results showed that students’ commitment to lecturers did not significantly influence students’ performance. Distributive and procedural justice in controlled commitment did not significantly influence students’ performance. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) is used to test the validity of the instrument, while the Cronbach Alpha  is used to test the reliability. Regression analysis is used to test the hypotheses. The results show that students’ commitment to lecturers does not significantly affect the performance of the students. Similarly, when distributive justice and procedural justice controlled commitment does not significantly influence the performance of students. The employees have an internet access when doing their task. Data analysis using hierarchical regression analysis show that hypothesis 1a, 1b and 3f were supported. The role ambiguity and role conflict has a significant positive effect on cyberloafing. It means, the higher the role ambiguity and the role conflict are, the higher employeecyberloafing will be. Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the potential export activity of Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) in Indonesia, especially in the reign of President Megawati and President Soesilo Bambang Yudoyono. After the monetary crises attacked our economy in 1998, the goverment realized about the important role of Small and Medium Enterprises. This indicates that SMEs are fundamental industry in government point of view both in economic and politic. The methodology applied in this research is Revealed Comparative Adveantage (RCA), descriptive analysis, and SWOT analysis. RCA is used to know how far the comparative advantage of SME’s export. This research uses secondary data. The secondary data were collected through statistic publication from government institutions. SWOT analysis is used for mapping the strategy to creat strong SME’s export activity.Result of this research indicates that the contribution of SME in export activity is still lower than big enterprises. Although, the SME’s RCA showed that some sectors have a comparative advantage to export, but it is not enough to support the national export activity. Keywords: SME, export, Megawati, SBY
