Abstract

Background: This research aims to analyze the contributionof coordination to find tuberculosis (TB) suspects in MadiunRegency.Method: This is observational study, unit of analysis is PublicHealth Center (PHC). Number of sample was 9 PHC where arespondent of this research is Polindes Midwives, Nurse Pustu,BP Personels and TB Coordinator.Result: Spearman correlation test results showed there iscontribution between knowledge contribution about the coordinationand the type of coordination to communication andsupervision. There is a contribution on the role of supervisorycontrol to supervision, communication and work procedures.There is a coordination mechanisms contribution (supervision,communication and working procedures) to the coverage ofthe findings TB suspected.Conclusion: Coordination contributes to finding of TB suspects.Keywords: contribution, coordination, coverage of findingsTB suspect

Abstract

Purpose of study was formulate recommendation to improving the utilization of Sungai Rambutan Public Health Center through Customer-Based Brand Equity Model. This study used descriptive study. Result : Brand awareness about sungai rambutan: Sungai Rambutan public health center as free health services, health services  no reliable, no guarantee of healing, infrastructure incomplete ,the discipline of work  less and not had willingness to visit sungai rambutan public health center if they were sick.

Abstract

Background : Acute respiratory infections (ARI), especially pneumonia is the leading cause of child morbidity and mortality in the developing countries as Indonesia. Of the approximately 15 million deaths have occurred in children under five each year in developing countries, approximately 4 million of deaths (26.6%), caused by respiratory infections, especially pneumonia. The purpose of this study was to determine the teams strategic issues to improve teamwork in the reduction of cases of pneumonia in toddlers in the area of work Bunut Health Center. Method : This research is descriptive by using the observational approach. The unit of analysis in this study are the work units are located in the area that work of Bunut health centres while the sample is that employees who work in these units of work for a total of 21 persons. sampling technique of purposive sampling. Result : The aspects of the teams commitment is not good, from 10 units there are 5 units of work that the commitment is not good. In addition, most of the job description of the dual aspects of the work unit and the lack of coordination between units. From the aspect of openness is not a large part of the team, from the 10 units there are 7 units of work that openness is not good. From the aspect of coordination is not good majority of the team, from the 10 units there are 6 units of work that coordination is not good. Consequential aspects of the majority of the team is not good, there are 5 of the 10 units of work units the consequential not good. Conclucion : The employees in each work unit found in Bunut Health Center further enhance teamwork efforts to team in the reduction of cases of pneumonia in toddlers, especially of commitment of the team, the openness of the team, coordination of the team, consequently of the team and also must be a clear division of tasks to avoid the appearance duplicate and overlapping functions in the exercise of their functions. Abstract

Background: Pelabuhan Hospital Palembang is type C Hospital with a capacity of 58 beds. The utilization of inpatient unit in this hospital is still lacking. It can be seen from the total of Bed Occupational Rate (BOR) in 2010-2011 is only 48.52% -51.65% which is  below the standard of Health Department that is 60-85%. Method: This study is a analytical observational study with cross sectional approach. The Population are inpatients of Pelabuhan Hospital Palembang. The number of samples is 80. The research data were analyzed quantitatively by the method of univariate, bivariate with chi square analysis, and multivariate with logistic regression analysis using SPSS program. Result: The result of analysis tests of the relationship between marketing mix and the utilization of inpatient installation of Pelabuhan Hospital Palembang, from 7 variables of marketing mix, there are six variables that have a relationship to the utilization of inpatient installation, that are variable product (OR=6, p-value=<0,0001), price (OR=10, p-value=<0,0001), place (OR =5, p-value=0,001), people (OR=5, p-value=0,002), processes (OR=7, p-value=<0,0001), and physical evidence (OR=8, p-value=<0,0001). Based on the results of multivariate logistic regression analysis, there are four variables of marketing mix which are most influential, namely product (OR=7, p-value=0,008), price (OR=15, p-value= <0,0001), process(OR=8, p-value=0,007) and physical evidence (OR=18, p-value= <0,0001). Conclution: Pelabuhan Hospital Palembang needs to improve the its marketing by noticing the marketing mix variables affecting the utilization of inpatient installations, especially those still considered not good enough by the in-patients,that are person and physical evidence. The goal is to increase BOR of Pelabuhan Hospital Palembang due to Health Department standards. Keywords: Marketing Mix, Utilization of inpatient installation

Abstract

Background : In adolescence often incompatibility between psychological and social development. If this incompatibility is not be good overcome can be mired in negative behaviors. One of the negative behavior is free sex. According to suvey of BKKBN in 2008 showed about 63% of adolescents in Indonesia ever done free sex. This sexual behavior is motivated by inherent factors in himself. These factors were grouped into hard skill and soft skill factors. The aim of this research was to know the influence of hard skill and soft skill factors with sexual behavior in adolescents at Seberang Ilir area of Palembang city. Method : This study is a quantitative research with cross sectional approach. The method used by distributing questionnaires. Data collected and processed using SPSS program and performed univariate analisys and bivariate analysis. Study sample was adolescent living in 12 districts at Seberang Ilir area of Palembang city with 96 respondents sample. Result : The research indicated that there was influence between knowledge (Pvalue= 0,000), emotional intelligence ( Pvalue= 0,016), moral intelligence (Pvalue= 0,005), hard skill (Pvalue= 0,000), and soft skill (Pvalue= 0,003) with sexual behavior in adolescent. Conclusion : The factors of hard skills and soft skill have influence with sexual behavior in adolescents. Need an increase in hard skill (knowledge), and soft skills (emotional intelligence and moral intelligence) so that the adolescent can avoid sexual behavior. Abstract

Background: Smoking in the house is not only detrimental to the health of smokers themselves, but also detrimental to the health of other family members who were in the house. Based on a survey conducted by 61,4 % of respondents smoking in the house, and is largely is head of the family. Method: The behavior of the family head for smoking in the house occur because of the intention that preceded it. In the theory of planned behavior intention influenced by three things: attitude, subjective norm and perceived behavioral control. This research is an analytical survey research with cross sectional design. Subjects studied were heads of household who smoked in the house who lives in Majasari with a sample size of 65 respondents. Sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The statistical test using the chi square test. Result: The results showed that there is a relationship between perceived behavioral control with the intention of the family heads to smoke in the house. While attitudes and subjective norm not have a relationship with the family heads intention to smoke in the house. Conclution: The family head in Majasari assess smoke in the house in a positive way so that the head of the family has a positive attitude towards smoking behavior in the house. Abstract

Background: The coverage of PHBS household  Palembang in 2014 is 64.36%, this has not been able to meet the performance targets set by health promotion and community empowerment of Palembang City in 2014 that was 70% of household using PHBS). Percentage of Public Health Center in the Palembang which not able to meet the target of PHBs Household coverage in 2014 reached 56.41% (22 Public Health Center).The main factor that affect the success of health promotion activities is PHBS household coverage in Public Health Center level, one of which relates to the performance of health promotion officer. Therefore, this study aims to determine the performance of health promotion officer and determinan factors that influence it such as knowledge, motivation, compensation and organizational circumstances. Method: This research was quantitative research with cross sectional design. Respondents are 38 health promotion officer from 38 public health center in Palembang. Analysis was used Chi-square test. Result: Univariate analysis showed that 57.9% of the officers had a good performance. Bivariate test results showed that knowledge (p=0.027), motivation (p=0.010), compensation (p=0.021), and organizational circumstances (p=0.015) had an influence on the performance of health promotion officer in increasing the coverage of PHBS household. Conclusion: The performance of health promotion officer in increasing coverage of PHBS household influenced by the knowledge, motivation, compensation and organizational circumstances. Abstract

Background: Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a disease that is common in the tropics area and often causes extraordinary events. Indonesia is a tropical area, so Indonesia is prone to occur outbreaks of DHF. The government needs community participation in the effort of controlling DBD (mosquito larvae) through periodic and continuous larva examination and mobilize the community in eradicating mosquito breeding. To increase the participation of community, cadres of jumantik is needed. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the participation of jumantic cadres in the prevention of DHF.Methods: This research used cross sectional design. The sample of this research is jumantik cadre in the working area of Indralaya’s center of public health which amounts to 86 people selected using simple random sampling technique. Data analysis using univariate analysis, bivariate analysis using chi square test, and multivariate analysis using multiple logistic regression test prediction model. Result: The result of uni chi square analysis showed that there was a relation between work (p=0,005), motivation (p=0.0001), communication (p=0.0001), reward (p=0,0001), and cooperative (P=<0.0001) with the participation of jumantik cadres, but no relation between age (p=0,088) and education (p=0,522) with participation of jumantik cadres. Conclusion: The most dominant factor toward the participation of jumantik cadres in the working area of Indralaya’s center of public health is reward. Researcher’s suggestions for the center of public health is given to incentives jumantik cadres in order to increase the participation of  jumantik cadres.Keywords: Participation, DHF, cooperation. DOI: 10.26553/jikm.2017.8.3.200-207

Abstract

Background: Base on Alma Ata Declaration (WHO, 1978), the approach of health development was public health especially community participation. The objectives this paper is to analysis the role of kader posyandu in village health development and what effort was needed  to increase participation of kader  posyandu in health development Results: According to the review found many challenges that cause participation of kader posyandu such  level of education, knowledge, training & development, incentives, type of work, the participation of kader with other organizations and the importance participation management to increase kader involvement in village health development. Conclussions: should did effectively kader posyandu capacity building (education, training and development, incentives) so they have power and practitioner commitment to coaching and consulting and stakeholders support. Abstract

Background : Department of Pharmacy Siti Khadijah Islamic Hospital serves all the needs of outpatient and inpatient care unit. Control of medicine management at Department of Pharmacy Siti Khadijah Islamic Hospital is not really good enough. It can be seen from a gap of medicine supply at certain time. Methods : This research is a descriptive study. The population at this research about 1202 items of general medicine and the sample about 180 items of general medicine. The critical values ​​of general medicine with check list form while the secondary data obtained from data report of the Department  of Pharmacy Siti Khadijah Islamic Hospital. Results : By using the ABC Critical Index Analysis, the results shows that from 180 items of medicine, 37 items are group A, 96 items of medicine classified as group B, and 47 items of medicine are group C. As for control of inventory of the planning, procurement, storage and distribution to the group A critical index general medicine done at the Department of Pharmacy Siti Khadijah Islamic Hospital have not been going well, it can be seen from the inappropriate method of consumption used to calculate the number of medicine needs, the calculation of the number of procurement and the time of procurement is only based on estimation and also  some items of medicine were still stock out  and over stock during the period of January to March 2012. Conclusion : Department of Pharmacy Siti Khadijah Islamic Hospital needs to apply ABC Critical Index method in setting priorities for the planning, procurement and supervision of medicine use to make it more effective and efficient which aims to prevent a stock out  or over stock inventory.
