Abstract

Bijaksana, U. 2012. Snakehead Domestication, Channa Striata Blkr, Swamp Water Optimization Efforts in South Kalimantan Province. J. Lahan Suboptimal 1(1):92-101.This research aimed at domesticating snakehead in order to fulfill the consumption without relying on catch. This research was conducted in the Wet Laboratory of the Department of Aquaculture Faculty of Fisheries Banjarbaru from September to October 2006. Snakeheads caught in "beje 'were selected according to weight and size and then kept in concrete tanks. A total of 32 pairs were placed in the experimental tanks.Feed was served as much as 4% of bodyweight/day for 4 times/day. Observations were made at the beginning and end of the experiment which included concentration of E2, egg diameter, IGS, IHS and fecundity. The results obtained were as the followings: water enhancement was associated with the development of the IGS with r2 = 0.92 which was greater than that of the decrease in water with r2=0.55.Greater reduction in water was associated with IHS with r2=0.96 which was greater then that of raising the water with  r2 only 0.74. Increase of water associated with the concentration of estradiol-17 beta with r2=0.82 was greater than that of the decrease of water which was was only 0.55.The decline and rise of water were aasociated with the diameter of each egg with the r2=0.93 and 0.96. Enhancement of water associated with agreater effect on fecundity with the r2=0.74 while decreasing water with the r2=0.36. Several indicators of snakehead reproduction obtained from the experiment were found to be similar with those naturally occured. It was concluded that the snakehead’s gonad could be grown to reach maturity level in the container as a domestication process.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feed arowana fish seed (Scleropages formosos) after feeding egg yolk tobe variations between, mosquito larvae-bloodworms-mosquito larvae(A), crickets-mosquito larvae-crickets(B), and bloodworms-crickets- bloodworms(C), are maintained in the container cultivation. Overall implemented for ±5 months  from January2 013 to May 2013 in the month of PT. Kresna Pusaka Tirta Lestari Jln. Kuripan. No. 19D RT. 33, Eastern District of Banjarmasin, Banjarmasin, South KalimantanParameters observed; Growth Relative Weight, Length Relative Growth, Feed Conversion, Survival. Aperture mouth, Out of Egg Yolk longtime, and parameter Water Quality For Supporting Data.From the data obtained during the study relative weight of the highest growth ratein treatment B(87.78%), and the lowest was intreatment C(83.98%). The mean length of the highest relative growth in treatment A(30.56%), and the lowest was in treatment C(30.44%). The highest feed conversion intreatment B (1,55%), and the lowest was intreatment A(0,59%). The highest survival rate in treatment A (93.33%), followed bytreatment B(91.52%), andthe lowest was intreatment C(86.67%). The average opening mouth highest in treatment A(58.849), followed involves theB(54.922), andthe lowest was intreatment C(51.413). Long arowana depleted egg yolksfrom the eggs pots(TBK) toegga bigbody(TBB) is 13days, from TBB to swim egg (TBR) 15 days, and from plain eggs to TBR 14 days, so the totalis 42 days. Water quality during the study ranged between temperature 30-32° C, pH73.77, salinity 0.10 - 0.18 ppt, and ammonia from 0.13 - 0.18mg/l.Based on the analysis of variance (ANOVA) on all treatments only on survival and feed conversion were significantly different, followed by HSD test for survival and Duncan test for feed conversion. Judging from the data is the best overall treatment A with variations of mosquito larvae-bloodworms-mosquito larvae.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dimaksudkan sebagai upaya domestikasi Ikan Betok melalui pemijahan dalam wadah budidaya. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Basah Program Studi Budidaya Perairan Universitas Lambung Mangkurat . Tiga poin utama dalam mendukung keberhasilan pemijahan ikan, yaitu : perkembangan gonad , ovulasi dan pemijahan . Tentu perkembangan panjat bertengger gonad ikan terjadi pada awal musim kemarau puncak musim dan di awal musim hujan atau saat musim hujan , pemijahan terjadi . Keadaan alami ini mencoba untuk diadopsi dalam budidaya kontainer , dengan fashting selama 1 , 2 dan 3 hari dengan tingkat air , 10 , 15 dan 20 cm . Hasilnya adalah waktu yang laten dari 11,7 jam sampai 39 jam , fekunditas antara 5310-7376 butir , diameter telur 0,5 hingga 0,8 mm , tingkat fertilisasi antara 88,2-93,2 persen dan tingkat menetas antara 87 , 0-91,6 persen.The study is intended as an attempt domestication through climbing perch spawning in the container cultivation. The research was conducted at the Laboratory of Wetlands Program University Faculty of Fisheries Aquaculture Lambung Mangkurat. Three main points in support of the spawning success of fish, namely: gonadal development, ovulation and spawning. Naturally development climbing perch fish gonads occurred in the early dry season to peak season and at the beginning of the rainy season or during the rainy season, spawning occurred. This natural state is trying to be adopted in the cultivation of container, with fashting for 1, 2 and 3 days with water levels, 10, 15 and 20 cm. The result is a latent time of 11.7 hours to 39 hours, fecundity between 5310 to 7376 grains, egg diameter 0.5 to 0.8 mm, the degree of fertilization between 88.2 to 93.2 percent and the degree of hatching between 87, 0 to 91.6 percent.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat efektivitas sGnRH-a+ad dan ketinggian air yang berbeda pada pemijahan ikan snakehead, Channa striata dalam tangki concreat. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Basah Program Studi Budidaya Perairan Fakultas Perikanan Universitas Lambung Mangkurat . Ada dua faktor utama sebagai perlakuan yaitu: Faktor A = dosis sGnRH -a + ad dengan tiga tingkat ( A1 = 0,2 ml / kg , A2 = 0,4 ml / kg , A3 = 0,6 ml / kg ) dan faktor B = tinggi air dengan tiga tingkat ( B1 = 15 cm; B2 = 20 cm; B3 = 25 cm )  diulang 4 kali untuk mendapatkan 36 unit percobaan. Pengamatan dilakukan pada parameter : berat badan, berat gonad, berat hati , estradiol - 17β , diameter telur, IGS, IHS, fekunditas, pemupukan dan derajat penetasan. Terdapat Hubungan yagn sangat erat atara parameter pengamatan IGS dan IHS.  Perlakuan yang diberikan waktu laten diperoleh kisaran  antara 12 jam sampai 25 jam, fekunditas antara 5047-5072 butir, derajat fertilisasi antara 60-60,3 persen dan 76,6 derajat fertilisasi antara 83,9 persen.  Perkembangan setelah menetas mencapai panjang tubuh 3,5 mm dan 45,5 mm pada hari 20 .This study aims to look at the effectiveness of injection of sGnRH-a + ad and height of water on fish spawning snakehead, Channa striata in the concreat tank. The research was conducted at the Wet Laboratory Aguaculture Departement Faculty of Fisheries University of Lambung Mangkurat. There are two main factors as treatment namely: Factor A = dose of sGnRH-a + ad with three levels (A1 = 0.2 ml / kg; A2 = 0.4 ml / kg; A3 = 0.6 ml / kg) and factor B = height of water with three levels (B1 = 15 cm; B2 = 20 cm; B3 = 25 cm) made repeated 4 times to obtain 36 units of the experiment. Observations made on the parameters: body weight, gonad weight, liver weight, estradiol-17β, egg diameter, IGS, IHS, fecundity, fertilization and hatching degrees. The strongest relationship obtained from the treatment of observational parameter is IGS and IHS. Of treatment given the latent time of the obtained range between 12 hours to 25 hours, fecundity between 5047 to 5072 grains, the degree of fertilization between 60 to 60.3 percent and 76.6 degrees fertilization between 83.9 per cent up. Developments after hatching body length of 3.5 mm and 45.5 mm on day 20.

Abstract

Research aimed to evaluate the reproduction status of snakehead in concrete tank  and in natural swamp aquatic. Seven indicators can be made by knowing the snakehead status indicator reproduction so that breeding manipulation in concrete tank can be done. The seven indicators were gonadosomatic indexs, hevatosomatic indexs, body weight, liver weight, gonade weight, egg diameter, fecundity and estradiol-17β concentrations. Result measurement of the gonadosomatic indexs of the snakehead in natural swamp aquatic show in Agust month was 3,3 ± 0.09 and hevatosomatic indexs was 1,1 ± 0.05 in Agust month. For gonadosomatic indexs and  hevatosomatic indexs in concrete tank in April month was 3.6 ± 0.09 and Januari month was 1.0 ± 0.08, respectively. Result of measurement the fecundity and egg diameter of the snakehead in concrete tank in Pebruary month was 2978.3 ± 7.64 and 1.3 ± 0.00 mm respectively, The fecundity and egg diameter of the snakehead in natural swamp aquatic in Januari month was 3080.0 ± 7.91 and Nopember and December was 1.5 ± 0.04 mm respectively. The estradiol-17β concentration of the snakehead in swamp aquatic show the higest concentration in natural aquatic. Average concentration estradiol-17β in natural aquatic in Juni month was 85.3 ± 9.37 pg/ml until December was 169.2 ± 6.22 pg/ml. In concrete tank from 80.5 ± 5.17 pg/ml in Juli until  118.3 ± 6.78 pg/ml in April. In general it is concluded that the reproduction status of snakehead was similar  between in concrete tank and natural swamp aquatic. Enviroment ”trigger” was the limited factor in finally gonade maturation.

Abstract

Teknologi pembenihan sudah dikuasai namun teknologi pemeliharaan benih belum maksimal. Kontinuitas benih pada usaha budidaya sangat diperlukan. Vitamin C mempunyai peranan sangat besar dalam proses fisiologi ikan terutama sebagai antioksidan dan anti stres. Temulawak mengandung komponen minyak asitri dan kurkumin yang berkhasiat merangsang sel hati untuk meningkatkan dan memperlancar produksi dan sekresi empedu, sehingga meningkatkan pencernaan dan mempercepat pengosongan lambung.Penelitian ini dilakukan selama 5 bulan dimulai dari persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan pelaporan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kelurahan Mentaos, Kota Banjarbaru, Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan. Parameter yang diteliti adalah pertumbuhan berat mutlak, pertumbuhan panjang mutlak, kelangsungan hidup, konversi pakan, retensi protein dan retensi lemak dengan menggunakan uji statistik Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan A menggunakan pakan komersial udang dengan kode FL 0, Perlakuan B menggunakan pakan komersial dicampur rata dengan vitamin C merek sidomuncul C1000 sebanyak 1000 mg/kg pakan, Perlakuan C menggunakan pakan komersial FL 0 dicampur rata dengan temulawak sebanyak 150 g/kg pakan, dan perlakuan D menggunakan pakan komersial FL 0 dicampur rata dengan vitamin C sebanyak 1000 mg/kg pakan dan temulawak sebanyak 150 g/kg pakan.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pakan komersial yang diberi vitamin C dan temulawak memberikan nilai kelangsungan hidup dan konversi pakan terbaik pada post larva ikan papuyu. Nilai kelangsungan hidup terbaik 23,49% dan nilai konversi pakan 0,51. Hasil penelitian penggunaan vitamin C dan temulawak dapat direkomendasikan kepada petani pembenih untuk meningkatkan nilai kelangsungan hidup post larva ikan papuyu.

Abstract

  Kondisi kemampuan reproduksi induk yang baru memijah mirip dengan kondisi induk yang sudah afkir. Keadaan perkembangan tingkat kematangan gonad benar-benar dalam kondisi TKG I berlangsung dalam waktu yang lama serta tidak ada kemungkinan bisa berkembang lagi jika tidak dilakukan perlakuan. Perlakuan hormon Oodev antara 0,3 – 0,7 ml/kg berat induk ikan dapat mempercepat kema-tanagan gonad.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fekunditas terbanyak diperoleh  pada perlakuan C yakni rerata 33190 butir, selanjutnya diameter telur terbesar juga diperoleh pada perlakuan C yakni rerata 0,7 mm. Nilai IHS tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan C (0,95%), sedangkan nilai IGS tertinggi diperoleh pada A (13,183%). Hasil pengamatan histologi gonad induk ikan papuyu didapatkan bahwa perlakuan dengan menggunakan hormon Oodev mengalami perkembangan gonad. Perubahan nilai dan kadar kualitas air dinilai masih memenuhi standar untuk hidup ikan papuyu. Hasil uji statistik terhadap semua parameter uji di atas menunjukkan bahwa seluruhnya tidak berbeda nyata antar semua perlakuan yang diberikan, dengan demikian dari hipotesis yang diberikan, maka terima Ho  dan tolak H1 berarti dosis penyuntikan Oodev tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap proses rematurasi. Perlakuan dengan hormon Oodev memberikan pengaruh terhadap perkembangan gonad, memiliki tingkat kematangan gonad yang lebih lanjut dibandingkan dengan tanpa menggunakan hormon Oodev (kontrol). Hal ini dikarenakan peran dari FSH dalam hormon Oodev yang mempengaruhi biosintesis estradiol-17 β dan gonad mengalami perkembangan.

Abstract

Snakehead and other fish species in waters of the swamp doing spawning at the beginning or in the middle of the rainy season. Gonadal maturation process so as to return time is limited. Aquaculture development is highly dependent on the availability of seeds that meet the timeliness, quality and quantity. The seeds can be produced continuously if supported by the availability of mature broodstock with good quality eggs. Some research about the role of hormones and or the use of stimulants to the success in support of gonad development and spawning, such as; Siam Jambal fish, Pangasius hypophthalmus (Ernawati 1999), Catfish, Clarias batrachus (Zairin et al. 2001), and catfish, Hemibagrus nemurus (Supriyadi 2005). By because they were with potential memamfaatkan folicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) that serves as the control at the start of the reproductive cycle up to ovulation and spermiasi in fish. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the injection folicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) in the parent rematurisasi catfish. Results from the start 17007-52327 item, 0,63-1,07mm egg diameter, IGS range of 4, 13 to 8.50%, and ranged from 0.86 2.4% IHS. Based on the results of the study injection folicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) capable mepersingkat rematurasi processing time.

Abstract

Permasalahan dalam pengelolaan induk ikan sepat siam adalah kurang maksimalnya derajat penetasan telur yang hanya mencapai 80,03 %. Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan memperbaiki kualitas telur melalui perbaikan kualitas pakan yang diberikan kepada calon induk ikan sepat dengan penambahan bahan suplemen dan imbuhan pakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon reproduksi induk betina sepat siam terhadap penambahan bahan suplemen dan imbuhan pakan, seperti: minyak ikan, vitamin E serta ekstrak temulawak. Ikan uji adalah induk betina sepat siam dengan usia minimal 8 bulan dan berada pada tingkat kematangan TKG I atau TKG II. Pakan penelitian yang digunakan ada 3 macam yaitu pakan komersial dengan penambahan minyak sayur (FCO), pakan dengan penambahan minyak ikan dan vitamin E (FOT) dan pakan dengan penambahan minyak ikan, vitamin E serta ekstrak temulawak (FOTG).Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pakan FOT dan FOTG dapat mengasilkan indeks gonadosomatik (IGS), fekunditas, diameter telur, derajat penetasan telur dan survival rate yang lebih baik daripada pakan FCO. Hal ini terjadi diduga karena pengaruh dari penambahan vitamin E yang berfungsi mencegah oksidasi dari asam lemak, sehingga lemak yang ada dapat digunakan sepenuhnya. Akibatnya, kualitas dan kuantitas telur jadi meningkat. Nilai IGS pada semua perlakuan berkisar antara 3,07 – 3,57 %, fekunditas berkisar antara 3.875 – 5.355 butir, diameter telur berkisar antara 0,70 – 0,93 mm, derajat penetasan berkisar antara 78,12 – 89,58 % dan survival rate berkisar antara 51 – 83 % pada semua perlakuan. Pakan dengan penambahan minyak ikan dan vitamin E dapat menghasilkan diameter telur dan survival rate yang lebih baik, sedangkan pakan dengan penambahan minyak ikan, vitamin E serta ekstrak temulawak dapat menghasilkan nilai indeks gonadosomatik (IGS), fekunditas dan derajat penetasan telur yang lebih tinggi.
