Abstract

This study aimed to obtain the influence of the mass flow rate of heat transfer coefficient on average that occurs in the capillary tube and the relationship between mass flow with heat transfer coefficient on average in the capillary tube. This research was conducted at the University Engineering Laboratory Cooling Tadulako. Test methods used in the study is testing them experimentally. Data were collected by taking a direct test data on test equipment. Data were analyzed theoretically based on the experimental test data. The results of this study, namely that the refrigerant mass flow rate affect the heat transfer coefficient on average that occurs in the capillary tube is in the form of equation (see full text)

Abstract

This study aimed to obtain the influence of the average steam quality of heat transfer coefficient on average that occurs in the capillary tube and the relationship between average steam qualities with heat transfer coefficient on average in the capillary tube. This research was conducted at the University Engineering Laboratory Cooling Tadulako. Test methods used in the study is testing them experimentally. Data were collected by taking a direct test data on test equipment. Data were analyzed theoretically based on the experimental test data. Abstract

This research aims to study influence of parameters of brakes components and dynamic weight on vehicle. Car of Suzuki Katana is taken as sample of a braking study. Data was procured in the mechanical engineering laboratory of Tadulako University and in the Duty Communication of District of Kayumalue in North Palu. Result of calculation indicates that oil pressure put on the brakes pw (kg/cm2), tread force of a brake pedal Q (kg) and dynamic weight of vehicle (kg) both front wheels and rear wheels weights are parameters which are significant in studying the brakes system.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas alat penukar kalor jenis pipa ganda dengan penambahan silinder pejal dan variasi laju aliran (debit). Pengujian dilaksanakan tanpa penambahan silinder pejal (standar) dan penambahan silinder pejal dengan variasi diameter 6 mm, 8 mm, dan 10 mm. Variasi debit pada sisi air panas 0,1 gal/min dan 0,2 gal/min sedangkan pada sisi air dingin dipertahankan 6 gal/min. Nilai efektivitas alat penukar kalor pipa ganda tanpa silinder pejal pada debit 0,1 gal/min yaitu 62,39%, yang kemudian mengalami peningkatan hingga 79,33% pada penambahan silinder pejal diameter10 mm. Sedangkan, pada variasi debit 0,2 gal/min nilai efektivitas alat penukar kalor pipa ganda tanpa penambahan silinder pejal yaitu 48,46% yang kemudian mengalami peningkatan hingga 76,8% pada penambahan silinder pejal diameter10 mm. Kata Kunci : alat penukar kalor,  pipa ganda, debit, diameter silinder pejal, efektivitas
