Abstract

there’s no such language that free from gender bias. Arabic language as Islamic religion holy book’s language has created gender bias in all utilizing fiil (verb) and isim (noun), especially sura at an-Nisa’. gender bias verse at sura an-Nisa’ analyzed with semantic theory namely interpreting all character, word, and sentence that related with gender bias, chronologically and historically so we obtain understanding contextual meaning, not textual meaning. therefore, gender bias meaning at sura an-Nisa’ is not focused only on biological meaning, namely only mudzakar (masculine) or muannats (feminine) but alsorelated with language’s soscial culture aspect that developed by its speaker community.Keywords: Bias, Gender, an-Nisa’, Masculine, Feminine.

Abstract

A qualified education can provide a right view about the process of changing views of society by setting up human resources that are righteous in God the Almighty, possesing virtuous noble character, having good personality, productive, physically and mentally healthy, independent, advanced, powerful, smart, knowledgeable, creative, skilled, disciplined, professional, responsible, socially minded, and be oriented to the future. In achieving this goal, education must be tailored to the needs of civil society that is humane, universal, democratic, in accordance with local and national cultures, capable of balancing between IMTAQ and IPTEQ as well as nondichotomous accordingly be accomodative and applicative to all.

Abstract

Penelitian  ini membahas tentang sejarah proses percampuran linguistik bahasa Arab - Jawa pada masyarakat Klego Pekalongan, Bentuk konvensi bahasa komunikasi Arab-Jawa pada masyarakat Klego   Pekalongan,  Kesesuaian  konvensi   bahasa  Arab- Jawa  dengan kaidah linguistik  (kaidah derivasi dan  makna leksikal), dan Kontribusi konvensi bahasa Arab- Jawa terhadap harmonisasi  sosial. Sumber data penelitian ini didapatkan dari bahasa komunikasi campur Arab–Jawa pada masyarakat Klego Pekalongan Timur.  Penelitian  ini  menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif  dengan metode wawancara  dan dokimentasi.  Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa sejarah konvensi bahasa Arab–Jawa pada masyarakat Klego bermula dari kedatangan Orang Arab- Hadramaut-Yaman ke wilayah Klego Pekalongan. Kontribusinya terhadap masyarakat Klego yang heterogen  mempengaruhi terhadap keharmonisan sosial antara komunitas keturunan Arab dan Jawa, tidak ada unsur pemaksaan bahasa, budaya dan tradisi diantara mereka. Masing-masing dapat menerima kebudayaannya masing-masing,  bahkan bagi keturunan Arab sudah membaur dalam tradisi dan adat istiadat komunitas Jawa.Kata Kunci: Konvensi, bahasa arab - Jawa, harmonisasi.THE CONTRIBUTION OF ARABIC-JAVANESE CONVENTION TOWARD SOCIAL HARMONIZATION. This study discussed (1) the history of the mixing  linguistic process of Arabic – Javanese on Klego community, Pekalongan, (2) conventions form of communication  language Arabic - Javanese on Klego community, Pekalongan, (3) convention contribution  of Arabic - Java to the rules of linguistics  (derivation rules and the lexical meaning),  and (4) conventions contributions of language Arab - Java to social harmony. Source of research data was derived from the mixed communication language of Arab - Java in Klego community, East Pekalongan. This study uses qualitative approach by using interview and documentation method. The results showed that the historical conventions of Arabic - Javanese  in Klego community  was from the arrival of the people from Arab-Hadramaut-Yemen to Klego-Pekalongan. They influenced social harmony  of Arab and Javanese community;  there is no element of coercion in language, culture and traditions among them. Each can accept each culture, even for those of Arab descent have already integrated into the traditions and customs of the Java community.Keywords: convention, Arabic - Javanese, harmonization.

Information technology era necessitate changing of learning system, mainly on method and media Arabic language learning. Arabic language learning system nowadays criticized because its monotone, traditional, and not innovative compared with other language learning. This is because absolutism and lack of creativity of Arabic learning sta­keholders (lecturer, teacher, Kiai) to apply method and Arabic language learning media that appropriate with information technology advancement. internet- based Arabic language learning embarked because as most communicative learning media at information technology era because integrate internet and other information channel as tools to empower learning process to more creative, innovative, and competitive. .

Abstract

This research was aimed to reveal and analyze these following four things: (1) the history of language mixing process of Arab-Javanese society in Klego Pekalongan; (2) the knowledge of local Arab-Javanese about the language; (3 ) the harmony of Arab-Javanese with linguistic rules (derivation rules and the lexical meaning); and (4) the contribution of Arab-Javanese community on social harmonization in Pekalongan society. The data source of this research was obtained communication with the local people of Arab-Javanese community through in-depth and structured interviews. The code switching and code-mixing theory was used to deal with this research. Functional descriptive analysis was applied for data analysis. The research concluded that the majority of the people were from Javanese and Arabian descent and some were from Chinese descent. They used mix language between Arabic and Javanese language for their daily communication. The Arabian and Javanese people in Klego lived in harmony with the existed local wisdom.DOI: 10.24865/ajas.v1i2.28

Abstract

Kemampuan membaca literatur Arab mahasiswa STAIN Pekalongan dalam penelitian ini ditemukan agak rendah. Ada dua hal yang mempengaruhinya, yaitu strategi pengajaran dan fasilitas pembelajaran bahasa Arab. Adapun faktor dosen, media pengajaran dan materi pengajaran bahasa Arab memiliki pengaruh yang tidak maksimal. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian deskriptif-kuantitatif dengan metode random sampling. Subyek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester VII STAIN Pekalongan jurusan Syari’ah dan Tarbiyah. Hasil penelitian ini penting karena dapat memberikan kontribusi pemikiran bagi pengambil kebijakan pembelajaran bahasa Arab STAIN Pekalongan agar dapat melakukan peninjauan ulang kebijakan terhadap seluruh komponen yang terkait dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab yang mencakup dosen, materi, media, strategi dan lain-lain.

Abstract

The teaching of English language has significant and strategic contribution. English language as a tool is used to understand and study many literatures of Islamic Studies use English language. This is as cause of the developing of Islamic Studies that is taken in hand by West. They have published their thought in Islamic Studies using English language as an international language in many academic publishing. Besides that, the developing of Islamic Studies is not discharged with the other science, including language. In line with this statement, STAIN Pekalongan has taken a new policy relating to the English language teaching. The goal of that policy is to maximize the process of English language teaching, so the students’ ability in English is better than before and could be utilized in developing of Islamic Studies. Based on that reason, this research explored four problems. First; students’ perception on English language teaching in STAIN Pekalongan. Second; significance of English language teaching for students’ Islamic Studies developing. Third; relationship between perception on   English language teaching and the developing of Islamic Studies. Fourth; competency in English language teaching expected by the students.
