Abstract

The objective of the experiment was to study performance of buras chickens reared on bamboo floor and  litters system. One hundred unsex buras chickens age 7 days were used in this research that reared into 2 floor system as treatment. The treatments were bamboo floor and litter floor. The result of the experiment showed that feed intake and body growth of buras chicks reared on litter floor higher (P<0.01) than bamboo floor during 7 to 28 days of age. There were no difference litter and bamboo floor system on feed  intake,  body  growth  and  feed  convertion  during  28  to  56  days  of  age.  It  was concluded that performance of buras chicks reared on litter floor system had better than

Abstract

The  present  study  was  designed  to  investigate  the  efficacy  of  probiotic  Bacillus  circulans  and Bacillus  sp  during  realimentation  period  on  carcass  characteristics  of  broiler  chickens.  Three  hundred     7days-old  unsexed  broiler  chicks  of  commercial  strain of  Cobb  were  used  in  the  experiment.  The treatments were : control fed ad libitum (P-0), energi restriction 1.5xBW 0.67 EM Kcal/day without (P-1) and  with  (P-2)  probiotic  suplementation  during  realimentation  period,  energi  restriction 2.25xBW0.67EM Kcal/day without (P-3) and with (P-4) probiotic suplementation during realimentation period.  Feed restriction was applied from 7 to 14 days of age. The result of the experiment showed that feed intake of chickens submitted to early feed restriction on P-1 and P-2 (1.5xBW0.67EM Kcal/day), P-3 and P-4 (2.25xBW0.67EM Kcal/day) was significantly lower (P<0.01) when compared to the chickens fed ad libitum (P-0). During realimentation period, feed intake on P-1 and P-2 was lower (P<0.01) than P-3, P-4 and P-0 from 14 to 28 days of age. Feed intake of the chickens that supplemented with probiotic (P-2 and P-4) was not significantly  different when compared to the chickens without probiotic (P-1 and P-3). Feed  restriction  during  7  to  14  days  of  age  had  not  significant  effect  (P>0.05)  on  carcass  weight, abdominal  fat  pad,  moisture,  fat  and  protein  content  of  meat  carcass  (breast  and  leg).  It  was  concluded that the chickens submitted to early feed restriction during 7 to 14 days of age with or without probiotic suplementation of Bacillus  circulans  and  Bacillus  sp  during  realimentation  period  had  similar  with chickens fed ad libitum  on carcass characteristics

Abstract

Power losses are the loss of electrical power in the network and the load where the lost power is not used by the load, so the power available on the network will be reduced. Power losses in the distribution network are caused by the presence of prisoners in the carrier. The lost power can be in the form of heat energy generated on the channel, and unused heat energy is called active power losses. Power losses in each channel are very important to take into account because power losses in the network can cause a reduction in electrical energy after arriving at the load. Power requirements that must be supplied by the source to the load depend on the absorption of power by the load and power losses on the network. Large capacity of power requirements is influenced by the amount of power losses, so it can be said that the capacity of power needs is the amount of absorption of power by the load and power losses on the network. One of the substations in the city of Palembang is the Bungaran Substation which has the function of delivering electrical energy to consumers through a medium voltage distribution system. To serve consumers electrical energy needs, currently the Bungaran Palembang Substation has a Transformer 1, 30 MVA 70/20 kV which has a load of four feeders, namely: Akasia Feeder, Sungkai Feeder, Tembesu Feeder, and Cendana Feeder. The results showed that Transformer 1 had an installed power capacity of 30 MVA or 255,000,000 Watts. While the capacity of the total power requirements of the four feeders is 18,786,167.4264 W. So the availability of transformer 1 power is still sufficient to serve the load of four feeders, because only 7.3671% of the installed power capacity is absorbed by the load. Rugi-rugi daya adalah kehilangan daya listrik di jaringan dan beban dimana daya yang hilang tersebut tidak terpakai oleh beban, sehingga daya yang tersedia di jaringan akan berkurang. Rugi-rugi daya pada jaringan distribusi disebabkan oleh adanya tahanan pada penghantar. Daya yang hilang dapat berupa energi panas yang ditimbulkan pada saluran, dan energi panas yang tidak terpakai disebut sebagai rugi-rugi daya aktif. Rugi-rugi daya disetiap saluran sangatlah penting untuk diperhitungkan karena rugi-rugi daya di jaringan dapat menyebabkan berkurangnya energi listrik setelah sampai di beban. Kebutuhan daya yang harus disuplai oleh sumber ke beban tergantung pada penyerapan daya oleh beban dan rugi-rugi daya di jaringan. Besar kapasitas kebutuhan daya dipengaruhi oleh besarnya rugi-rugi daya, sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa kapasitas kebutuhan daya merupakan jumlah penyerapan daya oleh beban dan rugi-rugi daya di jaringan. Salah satu gardu induk di Kota Palembang adalah Gardu Induk Bungaran yang mempunyai fungsi menyalurkan energi listrik ke konsumen melalui sistem distribusi tegangan menengah. Untuk melayani kebutuhan energi listrik konsumen, saat ini Gardu Induk Bungaran Palembang mempunyai Transformator 1, 30 MVA 70/20 kV yang mempunyai beban empat buah penyulang, yaitu: Penyulang Akasia, Penyulang Sungkai, Penyulang Tembesu, dan Penyulang Cendana. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh hasil bahwa Transformator 1 mempunyai kapasitas daya terpasang sebesar 30 MVA atau 255.000.000 Watt. Sedangkan kapasitas kebutuhan daya total dari empat penyulang adalah 18.786.167,4264 W. Jadi ketersediaan daya Transformator 1 masih mencukupi untuk melayani beban dari empat penyulang, karena hanya 7,3671 % dari kapasitas daya terpasang daya yang diserap oleh beban.

Abstract

Electricity is a source of energy that is very much needed by society and electricity is one of the most important needs to support human life today in meeting daily needs, both in the household and in business. The generated electricity is then channeled through the transmission line. In the distribution of electric power, there will be a channeling power losses which are proportional to the length of the channel. The use of a higher voltage level is the solution to these problems, but if the voltage is increased continuously there will be a corona and to reduce the environmental impact of the corona can use a file conductor. Increasing the amount of conductive wire in a beam reduces the corona effect and reduces reactance, reducing reactance due to an increase in GMR from the conductor. Elevation of the voltage on the electric power transmission line can reduce power losses, but the transmission voltage increase can cause corona in the transmission wire. This corona causes power losses and interference with radio communications. One way to reduce the corona effect is to use a condenser file on the transmission line. Besides reducing the corona effect, the beam conductor can also reduce the channel's inductive reactance. From the results of the study, the results show that the distance between the file sub conductors affects the size of the GMR of the file conductor, where the distance between the file sub conductors is greater, the GMR of the conductor will increase. With the increasing size of GMR conductor, the inductive reactance on the transmission line will be even greater. With the increasing conductivity of the beam conductor reactance, the reactive power losses on the transmission line will be even greater. Listrik adalah sumber energi yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat dan listrik merupakan salah satu kebutuhan yang paling penting untuk menunjang kehidupan manusia saat ini dalam memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari, baik dalam rumah tangga maupun dalam bisnis. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan tenaga listrik tersebut, maka pemerintah membangun pusat-pusat pembangkit tenaga listrik. Dalam penyaluran daya listrik akan terjadi rugi-rugi daya penyaluran yang besarnya sebanding dengan panjang saluran. Penggunaan tingkat tegangan yang lebih tinggi merupakan solusi dari permasalahan tersebut, tetapi jika tegangan ditingkatkan terus menerus akan terjadi korona dan untuk mengurangi dampak lingkungan dari korona tersebut dapat menggunakan konduktor berkas. Peningkatan jumlah kawat penghantar dalam suatu berkas mengurangi efek korona dan mengurangi reaktansi, pengurangan reaktansi disebabkan oleh kenaikan GMR dari konduktor. Peninggian tegangan pada saluran transmisi daya listrik dapat mengurangi rugi-rugi daya, tetapi peninggian tegangan transmisi dapat menimbulkan korona pada kawat transmisi. Korona ini menimbulkan rugi-rugi daya dan gangguan terhadap komunikasi radio. Salah satu cara untuk mengurangi efek korona yang dilakukan adalah dengan menggunakan kondukor berkas pada saluran transmisi. Di samping mengurangi efek korona, penghantar berkas dapat juga mengurangi reaktansi induktif saluran. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh hasil bahwa jarak antar sub konduktor berkas mempengaruhi besarnya GMR konduktor berkas, dimana apabila jarak antar sub konduktor berkas semakin besar maka GMR konduktor berkas akan semakin besar. Dengan semakin besarnya GMR konduktor berkas maka reaktansi induktif pada saluran transmisi akan semakin besar. Dengan semakin besarnya reaktansi induktif konduktor berkas maka rugi-rugi daya reaktif pada saluran transmisi akan semakin besar.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan modal pengajaran kooperatif dengan memanfaatkan alat peraga Sains Fisika (materi Tata Surya) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan kerjasama siswa. Subyek penelitian ini adalah kelas VII.A MTs NU 23 Salafiyah Syafiiyah Wonodadi Plantungan Kendal  semester II Tahun Pelajaran 2005/2006. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini terdiri dari dua siklus dengan materi yang berbeda, setiap siklus terdiri dari 4 tahap, yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Hasil belajar kognitif diperoleh dari tes evaluasi tiap akhir siklus. Hasil belajar afektif, psikomotorik serta kemampuan kerjasama diperoleh melalui lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan Penerapan Model Pengajaran Kooperatif dengan Memanfaatkan Alat Peraga Sains Fisika Kata kunci : Pengajaran Kooperatif, Alat Peraga, Hasil Belajar, Kerjasama

Abstract

The research was aimed at determining a critical period of soybean in competition with weeds. The experiment was conducted in Seunebok Baro Village, Sub-District Cot Girek, District Aceh Utara, from January to May 2013. The experiment was arranged in a randomized complete block design.  Factor evaluated was a period weed competition with 14 levels and three replications.  Variables observed were growth plant component, yield component, and weed compositions.   The results showed that period weed competition affected growth plant component and yield component.   Critical period of soybean variety Kipas Merah in competition with weeds occurred at 2 - 6 weeks after planting.  Dominant weed species were Dichrocephala integrifolia, Mimosa pudica, Ipomoea triloba, Ageratum conyzoides, Cleome rutidosperma, and Axsonopus compressus.  Minimum scale of weed control for soybean variety Kipas Merah can be carried out from 2 until 6 weeks after planting for preventing yield loss.

Abstract

The objectives of the study were to evaluate effects of arbuscular mycorrhiza fungi (AMF) and manure on production and quality of the elephant grass. The experiment used a factorial randomized completely block design, consisting of two factors: AMF and manure, with three replications. AMF consisted of two levels, i.e. without AMF and with AMF 10 g hole-1, while manure consisted of 0, 15, 30, and 45 tons ha-1. Results showedthat the best combination for crude proteinandcrude fibergrass at age of 50 days after planting was found at without AMF and 15tons ha-1of animal manure. Manure of45 tonsha-1produced higher elephantgrass production than that of30tons ha-1, 15tons ha-1, andwithoutmanure.

Abstract

The  aim  of  this  study  was  to  find  out  effect  of    thawing  lenght    in  ice  water  (3oC)  to viability and motility of Bali’s cattle spermatozoa’s. This research was conducted in Februari 2014 at  Balai  Inseminasi  Buatan  Laboratory  in  Banjarbaru  Kalimantan  Selatan.  The  treatment  was thawing  lenght  at  30,60,90  and  120  minutes.  Each  treatment  needed  3  dose  straw  and   3 replication. Live percentage  (%)  and motility were perceived from the study. Data analysis used DMRT  test.  The  result  showed  thawing  lenghtwere  significantly  effect  on  viability  and  not significant on motility of Bali cattle spermatozoa.Keywords : thawing lenght, viability and motility

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe objective of this research is to investigate whether the application of video media-assisted role playing learning method can improve the learning result in Accounting of the students in Grade X Accounting 2 of Mumpuni State Vocational High School in Academic Year 2015/2016. This research used the classroom action research with two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four phases, namely: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of research were all of the students as many as 32 in Grade X Accounting 2 of the school. It was conducted in collaboration with the Introduction to Accounting subject matter teacher. Its data were collected through cognitive test; affective questionnaire; and psychomotor observation sheet. The result of research shows that the application of video media assisted role playing learning method in the Introduction to Accounting subject matter can improve the learning result in Accounting of the students in Grade X Accounting 2 of Mumpuni State Vocational High School in Academic Year 2015/2016 as indicated by the following: 1) The number of students who fulfilled the minimal learning completeness criterion for the affective aspect increased. In Pre-cycle, the number of students who fulfilled the minimal learning completeness criterion was (87.5%). Following the implementation, it became (93.75%) in Cycle I and (96.88%) in Cycle II. 2) The number of students who fulfilled the minimal learning completeness criterion for the cognitive aspect also increased. In Pre-cycle, the number of students who fulfilled the minimal learning completeness criterion was (25%). Following the implementation, it became (62.5%) in Cycle I and (84.38%) in Cycle II. 3) The number of students who fulfilled the minimal learning completeness criterion for the psychomotor aspect increased. In Cycle I, the number of students who fulfilled the minimal learning completeness criterion was (71.88%). Following the implementation, it became (93.75%) in Cycle II.Keywords: Learning method, learning media, learning result  ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan role playing berbantuan media video dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar akuntansi siswa kelas X Akuntansi 2 SMK Mumpuni* tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan sebanyak 2 siklus. Masing-masing siklus dilaksanakan dalam empat tahapan, yaitu (1) perencanaan tindakan, (2) pelaksanaan tindakan, (3) pengamatan atau observasi dan (4) refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X Akuntansi 2 SMK Mumpuni* tahun ajaran 2015/2016 sebanyak 32 siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara kolaborasi dengan guru mata pelajaran pengantar akuntansi. Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga teknik pengumpulan data yaitu (1) tes kognitif, (2) angket afektif, dan (3) lembar observasi psikomotorik. Teknik uji validitas data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan validitas isi. Data penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian adalah bahwa penerapan metode pembelajaran role playing berbantuan video dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas X Akuntansi 2 SMK Mumpuni* tahun ajaran 2015/2016 pada mata pelajaran pengantar akuntansi. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari hasil penelitian sebagai berikut: (1) Hasil belajar afektif menunjukkan peningkatan dari 87,5% pada pratindakan, 93,75% pada siklus I dan pada siklus II menjadi 96,88%. (2) Hasil belajar kognitif menunjukkan peningkatan dari 25% pada pratindakan, 62,5% pada siklus I dan pada siklus II menjadi 84,38%. (3) Hasil belajar psikomotorik menunjukkan peningkatan dari 71,88% pada siklus I dan pada siklus II menjadi 93,75%.Kata kunci: metode pembelajaran, media pembelajaran, hasil belajar

Abstract

Objective: To compare the pain control results of ketoprofen suppository and periprostatic injection of lidocaine 1% for prostate biopsy. Material & Method: A total of 30 patients who underwent transrectal ultrasound guided prostate biopsy were randomized into 2 groups. Group 1 consisted of 15 patients received 200 mg of ketoprofen suppository. Group 2 received 1% periprostatic lidocaine injection. A visual analog scale was used to assess the pain score during prostate biopsy. Statistical analysis of pain scores was performed using independent t-test and Pearson correlation test. Results: The 2 groups were homogenous in age and prostate volume. There was significant difference in pain score among groups 1 and 2 during prostate biopsy (mean VAS ± SD 0,8 ± 0,8 and 4,5 ± 1,6 respectively, p < 0,0001). There was no significant correlation between pain perception with age (p = 0,779), or prostate volume (p = 0,389) in both groups. Conclusion: Periprostatic lidocaine injection is more effective for decreasing the pain for prostate biopsy compared to ketoprofen suppository.
