Abstract

Business competition in this time, has made management of shopping center must know and fulfill consumers expectation quickly. The concept of shopping centre development as one places to fulfill all requirement, has made shopping centre not only become place to go to shopping, but also has become center of family recreation, center of business information, center of technological development information. Consumer behaviour in choosing shopping centre imply not only determined by availability of goods on the super market, but also considered other factors. Based on these reasons, it is important to study factors determine customers visit to shopping centre especially in Tatura Mall, Palu Central Sulawesi. The aim of this is: To know and analyze factors considered by community in Palu to visit in Tatura Mall 2) To determine a dominant factor influencing consumer to visit in Tatura Mall. This research implemented exploratory study by using Principle Component Analysis (PCA) method. Result of this research shows that, there are 5 (five) dimensions why customer visit in Tatura Mall, that are: 1) Fulfill leasure time, consisted of items: to look for new experience in shopping; accompanies child to play a game; fulfill leasure time with family; refreshing and tries new product on the market.2) Comfortable in shopping, consisted of items: low prices; wide parking areas; and shopping. 3) Presstiges, consisted of items: prestigious places, new life style 4) Location: near by home, easy to access 5)Technology: to try several new technology in Tatura Mall, computer fair, sport center, vehicle shows. Of all the factors above, Fulfill leasure time is a dominant factor than others, with Eigenvalue 2,861 and variance explained 15,896.Keywords: exploratory study, leasure time, comfortable , presstigeous, Location, technology.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the performance of tellers 1 and 2 in serving deposit and withdrawal transactions. The problem (1). Identify the queuing service characteristics applied by Bank BNI Syariah Palu Branch (2). Seeing the performance of the busiest teller services 1 and 2. The busiest service performance results (ρ) are found in teller 2, which is 0.3687 or 36.87%, for teller 1 is 0.3393 or 33.93%, while for the next calculation has a value of 1 customer probability 1 teller in the system (P0) 0.6605, teller 2 is 0.6311, the average number of customers in the system (Ls) for teller 1 is 0.5208 while for teller 2 is 0.5852, for average time in the system (Ws) for tellers 1 ie 0.1025 is equal to teller 2 which is 0.1025, then the average number of customers in the queue (Lq) for teller 1 is 0.1814 while for teller 2 is 0.2164 and the last is the average time in the queue (Wq) for teller 1 which is 0.0362 equal to teller 2 which is 0.04. So the conclusion is that the service performance for these two telephones has the same level of value.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze machine maintenance carried out by PT. SPO Agro Resources and to find out whether the presence of preventive maintenance policies can improve the effectiveness of time and costs. This research uses qualitative methods by describing maintenance activities carried out by PT. SPO Agro Resources, as well as using quantitative methods in the form of mathematical statistics as a tool to help decide policies to be taken at a certain time period and efficiency measurements using descriptive percentages. The results showed preventive maintenance costs once a month Rp.138,012,968, - efficiency value was 39.63%, preventive maintenance costs every two months Rp.196,689,315, - efficiency value was 56.48%, preventive maintenance costs every three months Rp. 258,731,341, - the efficiency value is 74.29%, repair maintenance costs Rp.247,164,000, - the efficiency value is 70.97%. Based on the calculation it is known that the policy that makes maintenance costs efficient is maintenance once a month because this policy is the smallest maintenance cost compared to other policies, where the percentage value is smaller which is 39.63%, according to table 2 which states if the calculation results are below 60% said to be very efficient.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of layout inTahu Super Afifah Factory in Nunu Village, Tatanga District, West Palu. The type of research used is quantitative research using line balancing method and travel chart. Result of research by using line balancing method obtained efficiency of tofu production process equal to 90,04% with idle time 9,96%. While the result of travel chart method obtained new design layout of production facility of factory know Super Afifah which more effective equal to 441,74 material flow load from initial layout equal to 627,38 material flow load. By comparison 185.64 material flow load or 29.58%.

Abstract

This study is aimed (1) to observe the establishment of consumer’s attitude and consumer’s subjective norm to spend their money toward the Palu Mitra Utama Supermarket based on the reasoned action theory, (2) to identify the effect of attitude and subjective norm on the customer’s intention to spend their money at Palu Mitra Utama Supermarket, (3) to identify the effect of attitude and subjective norm of both customers who have a high and low spending intention on their spending behavior at the Palu Mitra Utama Supermarket. This study is conducted in two analysis stages using the conclusive research model based on the reasoned action theory. The first stage is analysing the effect of attitude and subjective norm on the spending intention. The second stage is classifying attitude and subjective norm based on the rate of strength or weakness of the spending intention and their effect on the spending behavior. The variables measurement are includes: (1) attitude variable, which is conducted by comparing the components of customer’s belief with evaluation on the supermarket, (2) subjective norm variable, which is conducted by comparing the component of customer’s normative belief with the component of consumer’s motivation to comply the reference’s opinion.             The result of this study indicate that: (1) consumer’s belief and evaluation on the supermarket shape their positive attitude toward such supermarket; whereas  customer’s normative belief and their motivation to follow the reference’s opinion shape their positive subjective norm toward such supermarket, (2) undoubtedly, consumer’s attitude and subjective norm has a statistically significant effect on the customer’s spending intention, while the customer’s belief and evaluation shape such customer’s positive attitude, (3) the attitude and subjective norm of those customer who has a statistically weak spending intention has no significant effect on the customer’s spending behavior, whereas  the attitude and subjective norm of those customer who has a statistically strong spending intention has a statistically significant effect on the customer’s spending behavior.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out and analyze the optimal number of purchases each time making an order, knowing the safety stock of raw materials that must be provided and knowing when to re-order raw materials. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research, using the EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) method. The results of this study indicate that when using the EOQ method the economical raw material purchase in 2017 is 426.56 zak with the order frequency of 28 times and the optimum cycle time of each order is 10 days. The number of safety supplies that must be provided is 357.81 zak. The right time to re-order is when the raw material supply is 441.31 zak.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the maintenance of production machinery conducted PT. Haycarb Palu Partners and find out whether the policies carried out are efficient. To achieve these objectives, using statistical and mathematical quantitative methods as a tool to help decide the maintenance policy to be taken at a certain time period. The results showed that, using preventive maintenance policy on bucket elevators and rotary screnes, the lowest preventive maintenance cost (minimum) for the bucket elevators machine occurred in the 10th month of Rp.2.994. 200, -, and for the rotary screnes machine the lowest preventive maintenance cost (minimum) at month 9 is Rp.1.398.080.-. Measurement of technical efficiency, maintenance cost policy for bucket elevators machine at month six that is equal to Rp.3.675.500, -, and for maintenance cost during the year is Rp.7.351.000, -. As for rotary screnes machine maintenance cost in the sixth month that is Rp.1.589.387 and for maintenance cost for a year of Rp.3.178.774, -, then PT. Haycarb Palu Partners can implement preventive maintenance that can save costs.
