Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to know of effectiveness of implementation of Problem Based Learning (PBL) viewed by students mathematical representations skill. The population of this research was all students of grade eight of MTs of Al-Hikmah Bandar Lampung which was distributed into four classes. The samples were selected by purposive random sampling technique. The design which was used was pre-testpost-test control design. Based on the result of research, it was concluded that the implementation of PBL was not effective viewed by students mathematical representations skill but more effective than conventional learning.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan Problem Based Learning (PBL) ditinjau dari kemampuan representasi matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII MTs. Al-Hikmah Bandar Lampung yang terdistribusi dalam empat kelas. Sampel dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive random sampling. Desain yang digunakan adalah pre-testpost-test control design. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa penerapan PBL tidak efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan representasi matematis siswa tetapi lebih efektif dibandingkan pembelajaran konvensional.Kata kunci: efektivitas, kemampuan representasi matematis, PBL

Abstract

This research was a quasi-experimental research that aimed to find out the influenced of relating experiencing apllying cooperating transferring (REACT) Strategy towards students mathematical representation skill. The population of this research was all students of  grade 7th SMP Al-Azhar 3 Bandarlampung in academic year of 2017/2018 that consist of 245 students. The sample of this research were students of  VII-F class that consist of 30 students and VII-H class that consist of 30 students that were choosen by purposive sampling tehnique.  This research design was pretest-posttest control group design. The data of this research was obtained by test  (pretest-posttest) of mathematical representation skill. The statistical test that has been used was Mann-Whitney U. The result of this research shown that REACT strategy affected the student’s mathematical representation skill.   Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh srategi relating experiencing apllying cooperating transferring (REACT) terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Al-Azhar 3 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2017/2018 berjumlah 245 siswa dan sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-F berjumah 30 siswa dan siswa kelas VII-H berjumlah 30 siswa yang ditentukan dengan teknik puposive random sampling. Desain yang digunakan adalah pretest-posttest control group design. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes (pretest-posttest) mengenai kemampuan representasi matematis. Uji statistika yang digunakan yaitu uji Mann-Whitney  Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa strategi REACT berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis siswa. Kata Kunci: kemampuan representasi matematis, pengaruh, strategi relating experiencing apllying cooperating transferring

Abstract

This is quasi experimental research that aims to know the effectiveness of learning by TAPPS strategy considered by student’s mathematical conceptual understanding. Population in this research was seventh grade students in Junior High School State 10 Bandar Lampung in academic year 2012/2013 that is consist of five classes. The sample were VII C and VII D class choosen by using purposive sampling technique. This research uses posttest only control group design. The data of this research were obtained through student’s mathematical conceptual understanding test. Based on the result of hypothesis test, it is concluded that learning by TAPPS strategy is effective considered by student’s mathematical conceptual understanding.Kata Kunci: Efektivitas, Pemahaman Konsep Matematis, TAPPS

Abstract

This research aimed to investigate whether cooperative learning model of three-step interview type can increase students’ mathematical communication skill. This research design was pretest-posttest control design. This research population was all students of grade 8th of SMPN 1 Gadingrejo in academic year of 2013/2014 that was distributed into 10 classes. This research samples were students of VIII.1 and VIII.2 class who were taken by purposive sampling technique. Based on data analysis, it was found that students’ mathematical communication skill who followed cooperative learning model of three-step interview type was higher than direct learning model. Thus, it can be concluded that cooperative learning model of three-step interview type can increase students’ mathematical communication skill.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah model pembelajaran koope­ra­tif tipe three-step interview dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi mate­matis siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretest-posttest control design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Gadingrejo tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 yang terdistribusi ke dalam 10 kelas. Sam­­pel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII.1 dan VIII.2 yang dipilih dengan tek­nik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh bahwa peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang mengikuti mo­del pembelajaran kooperatif tipe three-step interview lebih tinggi daripada model pembelajaran langsung. Abstract

Think Pair Share (TPS) merupakan salah satu tipe model pembelajaran kooperatif yang memberi pengalaman belajar pada siswa untuk lebih mudah memahami materi pelajaran yang telah dipelajari. Pembelajaran TPS terdiri dari beberapa tahapan yaitu berfikir secara individu (think), berdiskusi dengan pasangannya (pair) dan berbagi dengan seluruh kelas (share). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Page-laran Semester Ganjil Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013 sebanyak 316 siswa yang terdistribusi dalam sepuluh kelas. Sampel penelitian ini dua kelas yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan post-test control design. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.Kata kunci: Pengaruh, TPS, Pemahaman Konsep Matematis

Abstract

This research aimed to know the effectiveness of learning strategy of Think Talk Write considered by student’s mathematical communication ability. The population of this research was grade eighth students of Junior High School State 29 Bandar Lampung in academic year 2012/2013. The samples were chosen by purposive random sampling technique. The design of this research was pretest-posttest control group design. Based on analysis of data, it was founded that gain of student’s mathematical communication ability with strategy of Think Talk Write was higher than gain of student’s mathematical communication ability with conventional learning, but the student’s mastery learning with strategy of Think Talk Write didn’t reach the target. Thus, it can be concluded that strategy of Think Talk Write was not effective considered by student’s mathematical communication ability.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas strategi pembelajaran Think Talk Write ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 29 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive random sampling. Desain dalam penelitian ini adalah pretest-posttest control group design. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh bahwa peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dengan strategi pembelajaran Think Talk Write lebih tinggi daripada peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dengan pembelajaran konvensional, tetapi ketuntasan belajar siswa dengan strategi pembelajaran Think Talk Write tidak memenuhi target. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran Think Talk Write tidak efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.Kata kunci: efektivitas, kemampuan komunikasi matematis, think talk write

Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to know the influence of the realistic mathematics education towards student’s mathematical problem solving skill. The population of this research was all students of grade 7thof MTs Matlaul Anwar Padangcermin in academic year of 2013/2014 that was distributed into three classes. By purposive sampling technique, it was chosen students of VII A and VII B class as samples. The research data were obtained by the test of mathematical problem solving skill. Based on the result of hypothesis test, it was gotten the conclusion that the implementation of the realistic mathematics education did not affects student’s mathematical problem solving skill.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran matematika realistik terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII MTs Matlaul Anwar Padangcermin tahun ajaran 2013/2014 yang terdistribusi dalam tiga kelas. Dengan teknik purposive sampling, dipilih siswa kelas VII A dan VII B sebagai sampel. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran matematika realistik tidak berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa.Kata kunci: konvensional, pembelajaran matematika realistik, pemecahan masalah matematis

Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to know the influence of cooperative learning model of group investigation type towards student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics. The research design was post-test only control design. The population was students of grade 8th in second semester of SMP Negeri 1 Labuhan Ratu in the academic year 2012/2013 that excluding in the special class. Samples were students of VIII.3 class as experiment class and VIII.2 class as control class that was determined by purposive sampling technique. The data of student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics was taken by test. Data analysis used Mann-Withney test. Based on data analysis, student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics by cooperative learning model of group investigation type was higher than conventional those of learning. So, it was concluded that cooperative learning model of group investigation type influences student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.  Desain penelitian adalah post-test only control design.  Popu­la­si penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII semester genap SMP Negeri 1 Labuhan Ratu tahun pelaja­ran 2012/2013 yang tidak termasuk dalam kelas unggulan.  Sampel pene­litian adalah siswa kelas VIII.3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII.2 sebagai kelas kontrol yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling.  Data pemahaman konsep matematis diperoleh melalui tes.  Analisis data menggu­na­­kan uji Mann-Whitney.  Berdasarkan hasil anali­si­s data, diper­oleh bahwa pemahaman konsep ma­t­ematis siswa pada pembelajaran koope­ra­tif tipe group investigation lebih tinggi daripada pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada pembelajaran konvensional.  Dengan demikian, disimpulkan bahwa m­­o­del pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation berpengaruh terha­dap pema­haman konsep matematis siswa.Kata kunci: model kooperatif tipe group investigation, pemahaman konsep mate­ma­tis, pengaruh

Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to find out the influence of cooperative learning model of TPS type towards students’ mathematical communication skills. The population of this research was regular students of grade 9th of SMPN 1 Abung Selatan in academic year of 2013/2014. The samples of this research were students of IX-D and IX-F class that were determined by purposive sampling technique. The design of this research was post-test only control group design. Based on the result of this research, it was obtained that the students’ mathematical communication skills by cooperative learning model of TPS type was lower than conventional learning. Thus, it could be concluded that the cooperative learning model of TPS type has no positive affect towards the students’ mathematical communication skills.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.  Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IX reguler SMPN 1 Abung Selatan tahun pelajaran 2013/2014.  Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX D dan IX F yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Desain penelitian ini adalah posttest only control group design. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS lebih rendah daripada model pembelajaran konvensional. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS tidak berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.Kata kunci: komunikasi matematis, konvensional, TPS

Abstract

This quasi experimental research aims to know the influence of cooperative learning model of talking stick type toward student’s mathematical conceptual understanding. The design research is post-test only control group design. The population of this research is seventh grade students in even semester of Junior High School State I Bukit Kemuning in Academic Years 2012/2013, that is consist of six classes. The samples of this research are VII.3 and VII.4 that is obtained by using purposive random sampling. The collecting data technique is by using test. Based on analysis data result, it is obtained the average of value of student’s mathematical conceptual understanding using cooperative learning model of talking stick type is greater than using konventional learning. Thus cooperative learning model of talking stick type have influence of toward student’s mathematical conceptual understanding, study on student of Junior High School State I Bukit Kemuning in Academic Year 2012/2013.Keyword : Influence, Talking Stick, Mathematical Concept Comprehension
