Abstract

Abstract Based on observations and the author supervision of a teacher in SMAN 1 Valley Crossing West Pasaman, it was found that the Teacher Competence in preparing the RPP is still low. The purpose of this study is to describe and obtain information about improving teacher competence in preparing the RPP through academic supervision of the school principal in SMAN 1 Valley Crossing Barat. Penelitian Pasaman of a school action research. The procedure in this research include planning, action, observation and reflection. The study consisted of two cycles of the four meetings. Subjects consisted of 29 teachers, all teachers at SMAN 1 Valley Crossing West Pasaman who are teachers trained investigators. Data were collected by using observation sheet. Data were analyzed using percentages. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the academic supervision of the school head can improve teacher competence in formulating deploy Plan Learning in SMAN 1 Valley Crossing West Pasaman. It is seen from the readiness of teachers in the implementation of learning. Besides, based on the results penilitian conducted average value RPP made by teachers also undergo increase of the cycle of the average value of 50.19 and 80.75 in cycle two (good). Keywords: Competence Teachers, Prepare lesson plans, Academic Supervision

Abstract

CONTENT OF HEAVY METALS (Co, Cr, Cs, As, Sc, AND Fe) IN SEDIMENT ATiMURIA PENINSULA COAST AI. Measurement of heavy metals that containing of Co, Cr, Cs, AJ~ Sc, and Fe have been done for updating heavy metals data in Muria Peninsula coast. This research! is one oftool for evaluating existing environmental projile and their change at NPP sites and its surrounding due to operation of Tanjung Jati Coal power Plant. The objective of this research is to qrticipate change of environmental profile data resulting from contaminant both from land and marine base source pollution. Sediment sample was obtained from coastal waters at Muria Peninsula, JePara, that located between ranged 110°56´06.7"- 110°44´01.7" (E) and 06°23´99.3"- 06°25´49.1"(S). sampling method was carried by using coring methods. While the analysis of heavy metal was carri;4 out by using NAA (Neutron Activation Analysis). The result showed that the concentration of Cq, Cr, Cs, As, Sc, and Fe in Muria Peninsula coastal sediment have average contents of 15,5 - 17,4 pptn; 44,2 56,2 ppm; 5,1 - 5,8 ppm; 9,6 - 12,9 ppm; 15,7 - 18,4 ppm; and 44,7 - 47,5 ppm respectively.;Key word: heavy metal, sediment, NPP, CPP,´ and NAA

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk menentukan umur dan laju pertumbuhan terumbu karang dengan sinar-X dan kaitannya dengan kejadian El-nino serta perubahan iklim di daerah Kepulauan Seribu. Sampel karang massif jenis Porites Lutea diambil secara vertikal menggunakan alat bor pneumatic diameter 5 cm. Sampel terumbu karang dipreparasi dan disinari dengan sinar-X dan dianalisis dengan software Image-J untuk menentukan umur, arah dan laju pertumbuhan linier. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata laju pertumbuhan terumbu karang pada tiga lokasi penelitian tidak jauh berbeda, tetapi penurunan yang lebih besar terjadi di daerah yang lebih dekat dengan daratan Jakarta. Berdasarkan analisis laju pertumbuhan dapat diidentifikasi dua kejadian El-Nino terbesar yaitu tahun 1997-1998 dan 1982-1983.

Abstract

Kerangka karang pada jenis karang Porites lutea yang telah terdeposit dapat memberikan informasi dalam menentukan laju pertumbuhan karang yang terlihat pada lingkar tahunan (annual band). Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara pemboran dengan menggunakan mata bor pneumatic yang selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan sinar-x untuk mendapatkan arah, umur dan laju pertumbuhan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pertumbuhan karang Porites lutea yang berada pada stasiun utara (windward) berkisar antara 0.60-2.50 cm/tahun dengan laju pertumbuhan rata-rata 1.43 cm/ tahun, dan stasiun selatan (leeward) berkisar antara 0.50-2.20 cm/tahun dengan laju pertumbuhan rata-rata sebesar 1.21 cm/tahun. Laju pertumbuhan karang Porites lutea baik yang berada stasiun utara (winward) maupun stasiun selatan (leeward) menunjukkan tidak berbeda nyata.

Abstract

Coral is one of marine organisms that can accumulate heavy metals such as Pb in its skeleton. The purpose of this study was to determine the concentration of heavy metals Pb in growth bands of coral P. lutea at windward and leeward regions of Tunda Island. The results showed that P. lutea accumulated heavy metals Pb in their growth bands. The results of Pb concentrations in windward region were in range of 6.17-14.76 mg kg-1/year, with the average concentration rate of 9.69 mg kg-1/year.  Meanwhile, in leeward region, the Pb concentrations were in range of 8.37-17.66 mg kg-1/year whith the average concentration rate of 13.33 mg kg-1/year. Abstract

Heavy metal pollution is one of serious problem for tropical mangrove ecosystem. Heavy metals can  decrease the quality of a waters. The decreasing in water quality can caused by pollutants such as heavy metals with high concentrations greatly affects the aquatic environment, especially living organisms. The aimed of study is to determine the accumulation level of heavy metals such as Al, Cu, Pb, As, Ni, Cr, Ti, Mn, dan Fe, in root, leaves and  stem of E. acoroides. The sampling was carried out in the northern and southern parts of Tunda Island, in March 2015. The method used for seagrass destruction is 6 mL 65% HNO3 and mL H2O2 30%, sediment destruction using Milestone Start D microwave labstation. and using ICP-OES (Inductive Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectrometry) Thermo Scientific iCAP 700 Series. The result show that, the Al, was the dominant heavy metals observed both in sea water and sediment surrounding the observed sea grass areas. Similar result was also observed for seagrass.  The dominant sediment grain size absorbing heavy metals is silt-clay because it has more organic matter to control the binding of heavy metals. Heavy metal bioaccumulation is predominant in seagrass leaves and stems due to heavy metal entry into seagrass, substance storage tissue, and seagrass characteristics that are completely submerged in water. Seagrass meadow ecosystem in Tunda Island has been contaminated by several heavy metals.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKANDUNGAN LOGAM BERAT (Co, Cr, Cs, As, Sc, DAN Fe) DALAM SEDIMEN DI KAWASAN PESISIR SEMENANJUNG MURIA. Pengukuran kandungan logam berat Co, Cr, Cs, As, Sc, dan Fe dalam sedimen telah dilakukan untuk pemutahiran data logam berat di perairan pesisir Semenanjung Muria. Penelitian ini merupakan salah satu aspek evaluasi kondisi lingkungan pada lokasi tapak rencana pembangunan PLTN dan evaluasi lngkungan setelah beroperasinya PLTU Tanjungjati B. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengantisipasi perubahan data rona awal yang diakibatkan oleh masukan kontaminan baik dari daratan maupun dari laut. Lokasi sampling dilakukan pada titik koordinat antara 110048’28,5’’ Bujur Timur; 06024’51,0’’ Lintang Selatan sampai 110049’45,0’’ Bujur Timur; 06024’40,0’’ Lintang Selatan. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode coring. Analisis logam berat dilakukan dengan metode AAN (Analisis Aktivasi Netron). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi logam berat Co, Cr, Cs, As, Sc, dan Fe di sedimen perairan Semenanjung Muria rata-rata berkisar antara 15,5 – 17,4 ppm untuk logam Co; 44,2 – 56,2 ppm untuk logam Cr; 5,1 – 5,8 ppm untuk logam Cs; 9,6 – 12,9 ppm untuk logam As; 15,7 – 18,4 ppm untuk logam Sc; dan 44,7 – 47,5 ppm untuk logam Fe.Kata kunci: logam berat, sedimen, PLTN, PLTU, dan AAN ABSTRACTCONTENT OF HEAVY METALS (Co, Cr, Cs, As, Sc, AND Fe) IN SEDIMENT AT MURIA PENINSULA COASTAL. Abstract

Karimata strait connects South China Sea and Indonesia territorial seas where the strait current pattern is affected by west and east monsoon. This condition influences particles depositing sedimentation process in the strait. Lack information about sediment depositing rate at the straits dozens years ago makes this research is important to be conducted. This research was to estimate sediment depositing rate in the strait in two areas, near shore and off shore of Borneo. The research was conducted on June to September 2015 used coring sediment samples. Those samples were derived from Baruna Jaya VIII Ship Cruise on June 2015 that was collaborative research between Ministry of Marine and Fisheries Affairs of Indonesia and National Nuclear Center of Indonesia (BATAN).Samples were analyzed in the laboratory of Chemical and Ocean, Department of Environmental and Natural Resources, Center of Radiation and Isotope, National Nuclear Center of Indonesia (BATAN). Estimation of sediment depositing rate used natural isotope 210Pb. The study shows that the depositing rate of the nearest to Borneo area is about 0.92 kg.m-2.y-1 (1965) and increases to be 3.31 kg.m-2.y-1 (2009). The other area is about 0.08 kg.m-2.y-1 (1840) and increases to be 1.78 kg.m-2.y-1 (2010). This result implies that the sediment depositing rate at the nearest area to Borneo is higher than the off shore. Keywords: Near shore, off shore, Natural Isotop 210Pb, CRS (Constant Rate of Supply) model

Abstract

The profile concentration of heavy metals, organic matter and the composition of the grain sizes is determined in two sediment cores from Karimata Strait. This study aimed to estimate the distribution of sediment grain sizes and distribution of heavy metals (Pb, Cu, Zn, Ni, As, and Fe) in three sediment fractions (>250 ?m, 63-250 ?m and <63 m) of Karimata Strait. Sampling was conducted using box core. Graining size analysis was carried out through sieving, continue with digestion, and analyze the heavy metals using Inductively Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP-OES). Results of the study show that the sediment grain size distribution is strongly influenced by the water hydrodynamic condition (currents). It can be seen by the dominance of finding coarse grain size in the research areas. The highest concentration of the heavy metals was found in the finest grain size (<63 m) due to the larger surface area and higher adsorption capacity. Distribution of heavy metals Cu, Pb, Zn and Ni in the upper layer of sediments is higher than in the bottom layer. Furthermore, the As and Fe concentration in the surface were lower than in the bottom layer. Statistical analysis shows an association and a source of heavy metals mainly coming from the surrounding areas. It is supported by the enrichment factor values of finding heavy metals generally has been undergone enrichment.Keyword: Grain sizes,Heavy metals, ICP-OES,Karimata strait, Sediment
