Abstract

Investments in financial assets have become a trend in the globalization era, especially the investment in mutual fund shares. Investors who want to invest in stock mutual funds can set up an investment portfolio in order to generate a minimal risk and maximum return. In this study the authors used the Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithm Non-dominated Sorting II (MOGA NSGA-II) technique with the Markowitz portfolio principle to find the best portfolio from several mutual funds. The data used are 10 company stock mutual funds with a period of 12 months, 24 months and 36 months. The genetic algorithm parameters used are crossover probability of 0.65, mutation probability of 0.05, Generation 400 and a population numbering 20 individuals. The study produced a combination of the best portfolios for the period of 24 months with a computing time of 63,289 seconds.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe study aimed to 1) identify internal and external factors that influence the strategy to increase the production of  catfish hatchery agro-industry,  2) identify and determine the factors, actors, goals and the alternative strategy to increase the production capacity of catfish hatchery agro-industry, 3) determine strategy priority in increasing the production capacity and operational sustainability of catfish hatchery agro-industry.  Methods of analytical hierarchy process and focus group discussions were used in the data analysis. The result showed that capital and main actors are the main factors that determine the production increase of catfish hatchery agro industry in Bogor. Abstract

Financial and non-financial factors are important indicators to evaluate performance of corporation.  The main objective of this study is to build a model for improving performance of estate and plant by using balance scorecard.  The study uses balance scorecard, and fuzzy analytical hierarchy process to model the criteria of performance measurement for both estate and plant.  Results generated from the model of estate performance criteria measurements are seed, fertilizing, cost management, harvest, plant maintenance, production, and employee development.  Results generated from the model of plant performance criteria measurements are production rate, cost management, losses, plant utilization, CPO quality, employee development, and environmental friendly production process.  Estate and plant scoring board model are used to measure the performance of estate and plant based on set targets.  Results generated from estate scoring board model are low performance in cost management, production, and employed development.  Results generated from plant scoring board model are low performance in cost management, losses, and environmental friendly production process.  Performance improvement model for estate and plant are conducted by using expert management.  The result generated from this study is a software of decision support system by using expert management, and it is called In-KK v1.00.   Keywords: oil palm agroindustry, key performance indicator, scoring board

Abstract

Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) is one of the major wastes generated by palm oil milling which is a part of palm oil diesel production chain. POME contain of methane (about 60-70 %), which contribute to Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emission. Due to reduction GHG emission is one of indicator bioenergy sustainability, some alternatives have been implementing to reduction it. One of the alternatives is implementing of methane capture technology which able to capture and/or utilize it for energy source. In this paper, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) was employed to identify role of methane capture technology in sustainability of palm oil biodiesel production. By employed cradle to gate LCA on biggest producer of palm oil biodiesel in Indonesia, GHG emission is 23.00 g CO2eq per Mega Joule (MJ) biodiesel production with methane capture, and 40.79 g CO2eq per MJ biodiesel without methane capture. From this result, it was concluded that implementation of methane capture could reduce GHG emission significantly (more than 70 %).

Abstract

The research aims to analyse contribution of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) implementation in Indonesia banking industry and its healthiness as well as its competitiveness. The research employs case study approach with the objects of State-owned Banks, which are Bank Mandiri, BRI, and BNI compared to Private Banks, which are BCA and Bukopin. Stepwise regression test are applied to find the correlation between GCG, healthiness, dan competitiveness, while Kruskall Wallis test is used to find whether any significant difference exists between the banks. The result shows that GCG implementation, based on the statistical methods, has significant relationship with the healthiness, which are inherent risk profile and capital adequacy variable, also with the competitiveness, which are productivity, profitability, and market valuation variable.Keywords : Banking Competitiveness, Banking Healthiness, Banking Performance, Good Corporate Governance (GCG), Private Banks, State-owned Banks

Abstract

Sampel yang sama dapat mempunyai data hasil analisis yang berbeda apabila dianalisis pada beberapa laboratorium yang berbeda. Perbedaan hasil pengujian yang cukup besar dapat menimbulkan keraguan dalam mengambil suatu keputusan atau kesimpulan. Untuk mengetahui unjuk kerja laboratorium dan meningkatkan kinerja laboratorium dapat dilakukan uji profisiensi. Evaluasi hasil uji profisiensi yang berbeda dapat menyebabkan interpretasi hasil uji profisiensi yang berbeda pula. Hal ini berarti berpengaruh pula bagi penilaian kinerja laboratorium peserta. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis beberapa metode evaluasi hasil uji banding (Metode 1: seleksi data Grubbs 1 kali kemudian terhadap data yang tersisa dilakukan perhitungan Robust Z-Score; Metode 2: seleksi data Grubbs berulang kali sampai tidak ada lagi data yg keluar, kemudian terhadap data yang tersisa dilakukan perhitungan Robust Z-Score; Metode 3: langsung Robust Z-Score). Selain itu dalam makalah ini akan dinalisis juga jenis metode pengujian yang digunakan oleh peserta uji profisiensi. Data yang digunakan adalah data hasil uji profisiensi yang dikoordinasikan oleh Komite Akreditasi Nasional (KAN) tahun 2011 untuk komoditi kakao bubuk dan saus cabai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan metode evaluasi hasil uji 2 adalah yang paling sensitif (memberikan jumlah laboratorium outlier paling banyak) apabila dibandingkan dengan metode evaluasi hasil uji 1 dan 3. Hasil kinerja laboratorium peserta yang menggunakan metode pengujian Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI) cukup memuaskan.

Abstract

Identifikasi jenis kayu di Indonesia pada umumnya dilakukan secara manual, dengan cara memperhatikan pori kayu pada daerah penampang kayu menggunakan kaca pembesar atau mikroskop dengan pembesaran minimal 10 kali. Teknik komputerisasi belum banyak dilakukan terutama karena kurangnya penelitian di bidang ini dan sulitnya mendapatkan database kayu. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan sebuah sistem untuk mengklasifikasikan 4 jenis kayu yang diperdagangkan di Indonesia dengan metode support vector machine (SVM) berbasis citra. Teknik ekstraksi ciri yang digunakan adalah two-dimensional principal component analysis (2D-PCA). Sistem ini dapat mengidentifikasi kayu dalam waktu singkat sehingga mempercepat proses identifikasi jenis kayu. Hasil klasifikasi dari 120 kali percobaan dengan menggunakan 96 data citra dengan 4 jenis kayu menunjukkan akurasi terbaik sebesar 95.83% pada kernel Polinomial. Abstract

Agroindustri udang dihadapkan pada berbagai masalah yang kompleks dan rentan terhadap gangguan.Untuk dapat mengenali risiko masing-masing pelaku rantai pasok dan memilih tindakan berdasarkan prioritas diperlukan suatu model identifikasi dan evaluasi risiko.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan modelidentifikasidan evaluasirisikorantai pasok udang. Identifikasi risiko akan dilakukan dengan pendekatan what-if analysis dan evaluasi risiko yang dikembangkan menggunakan model fuzzy FMEA, dengan input data dari beberapa ahli dan pelaku rantai pasok udang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaku petani mempunyai risiko yang paling tinggi dengan probabilitas sebesar 0,45. jika dibandingkan risiko pada tingkat pedagang pengumpul (0,29) dan risiko agroindustri (0,18). Risiko dominan pada tingkat petani disebabkan oleh kegagalan panen akibat serangan hama dan penyakit. Pada tingkat pengumpul risiko dominan adalah keberadaan dan loyalitas pemasok.Sedangkan pada tingkat prosesor risiko dominan adalah keragaman mutu pasokan dan kontaminasi antibiotik pada komoditi udang. Secara keseluruhan model ini dapat digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktorrisiko dan variabel pada tiap tingkatan rantai pasok serta memilih tindakan prioritas sehingga akan diperolehrekomendasi berupa tindakan yang tepat untukmengantisipasinya. Kata kunci: identifikasi dan evaluasi risiko, rantai pasok udang, fuzzy FMEA

Abstract

Abstract: The increasing demand of beef commodity in Indonesia must be supported by agood supply chain management to achieve self-sufficiency and food security. This study aimsto analyze consumers’ expectations for commodity beef in Depok, identifying and mappingthe beef agro-industry value chain, and analyze strategic alternatives in order to enhancethe value chain agroindustry beef based on the characteristics of the livestock industry inDepok. The method used in this research is descriptive method with a case study approach.Based on analysis, 11 attributes was obtained to affect the quality of the beef ie. ratio of fat,flavor, color, marbling, juiceness, scents, halalness, freshness, price, texture, and availabilityin the market. The result of gap analysis showed that the actual conditions perceived byconsumers related quality of beef has not fulfilled consumers’ expectations. In result of qualityhouse, strong relationships contained the halalness attributes. Moderate relationshipsare contained in the freshness and cutting process. Weak relationship found in all facilitiesin the technical characteristics. In the value chain analysis, identified two types of flowactivity. The results of the stakeholder analysis shows that the attributes of consumers andentrepreneurs have the same powerful and highest position compared with other stakeholders.Keywords: agroindustry, beef, Depok city, strategy, value chain
