Abstract

Peningkatan kadar amoniak dan bahan organik pada media budidaya udang vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei) merupakan salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan budidaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian probiotik pengoksidasi amoniak dan bahan organik terhadap laju sintasan hidup dan pertumbuhan tokolan udang vaname, populasi bakteri vibrio serta kandungan amoniak dan bahan organic media budidaya. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode eksperimental laboratories dengan empat perlakuan yaitu perlakuan pemberian 1 ppm  probiotik A (Nitrosomonas eutorpha MPN-8.2, dan Nitrobacter winogradskyi MPN-2), pemberian 0,1 ppm probiotik B (Paracoccus pantotrophus SB 3056 1,5x109cfu/g dan Bacillus megaterium SB 3112 2,5x109cfu/g), pemberian campuran probiotik A dan probiotik B dengan dosis masing masing 1 ppm  dan 0,1 ppm  serta control (tanpa probiotik). Tiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak tiga kali. Kandungan amoniak dan bahan organik dalam air diukur  pada hari ke 0, 15 dan 30. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan pemberian probiotik A, B dan campuran probiotik A dan B berpengaruh : meningkatkan sintasan hidup tokolan udang vanamei yaitu berturut-turut (96%+3,05), (96,66+2,08)%, dan (97,33+1,25)% sedangkan kontrol (90,66 +3,30)%. (2) menurunkan populasi bakteri pathogen Vibrio, serta (3)menurunkan kadar amoniak dan bahan organik.Kata kunci: Litopenaeus vannamei, probiotik, amoniak, total bahan organic, sintasan The enhancement of ammonia and total organic matter level in water medium of vannamei’s (Litopenaeus vannamei) grow out  is one of the major problem.The aims of this research is to find out the effect of survival rate and growth in  vaneme’s juveniles by probiotic addition  This research was done by experimental laboratory with four treatments i.e.  A = juveniles + 1 ppm (Nitrosomonas eutorpha MPN-8.2, and  Nitrobacter  winogradskyi MPN-2 ), B = juveniles + 0,1 ppm (Paracoccus pantotrophus SB 3056 1.5x109cfu/g and Bacillus megaterium SB 3112 2.5x109cfu/g), C = juveniles + 1 ppm (Nitrosomonas eutorpha and Nitrobacter  winogradskyi) + 0,1 ppm (Paracoccus pantotrophus and Bacillus megaterium) and K= juveniles without probiotic addition, respectively. These treatments were replicated in three times. The measurements was regularly done by considering the culture condition. The result shows that those probiotic treatments give the better survival rate i.e. A(96%+3.05), B=(96,66+2.08)%,  C=(97,33+1.25)%  when  caompared  to  the  controle (90.66+3.30)%.  Furthermore,  the pathogenic Vibrio population of probiotic treatments were low when compared to the control. The level of total ammonia and organic matter in control was higher than the probiotic treatments. Key words: Litopenaeus vannamei, probiotics, ammonia, total organic matter

Abstract

Tingginya suhu buangan air pendingin PT. Badak NGL yang dilepas ke Perairan Bontang menyebabkan terganggunya berbagai sumberdaya pesisir yang ada disekitarnya. Karena itu perlu diketahui pola sebaran suhu agar dampak yang mungkin timbul dapat diminimalkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memprediksi pola sebaran suhu dari buangan air pendingin PT. Badak NGL di Perairan Bontang, Kalimantan Timur. Prediksi dilakukan dengan menggunakan model hidrodinamika dan transpor suhu 3-D yang dimodifikasi dari model POM (Princeton Ocean Model). Gaya pembangkit yang digunakan dalam model adalah pasang surut, debit buangan air pendingin dan debit sungai. Pemilihan langkah waktu (t)=0,5 detik, dengan 118 grid (barat-timur) dan 187 grid (utara-selatan), ukuran grid Δx=Δy=30 m. Nilai awal : u=v=ζ=0, T0 = 28 °C dan S0 = 32 ‰. Verifikasi elevasi dan suhu antara hasil model dengan hasil pengukuran menunjukkan kesesuaian yang baik dengan nilai korelasi 0,97 dan Kesalahan Relatif Rata-rata (Mean Relative Error/MRE) 1,31% untuk verifikasi elevasi, korelasi 0,90 dan MRE 5,17% untuk verifikasi suhu permukaan pada saat bulan purnama serta korelasi 0,87 dan MRE 7,12% saat bulan perbani. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan perbedaan pola sebaran suhu permukaan paling ekstrim ditemukan pada saat purnama untuk kondisi cuplik pasang maksimum dan surut maksimum. Perbedaan terutama terlihat pada Stasiun 8 (Muara Kanal Pendingin) yakni 41 °C saat surut maksimum dan saat pasang maksimum (ΔT=6 °C). Adapun perbedaan suhu antara lapisan atas dan lapisan bawah yang cukup besar ditemukan di Stasiun C yakni sekitar 2,54 C saat  untuk skenario musim kemarau dan 2,32 C untuk skenario musim hujan Kata kunci : POM, buangan air pendingin, sebaran suhu, debit sungai, model numerik, Perairan Bontang High temperature of cooling water discharge of PT. Badak NGL that released to Bontang waters caused disturbances to the coastal resources in its surrounding. Therefore, it is urgent to understand the pattern of thermal dispersion in order to minimize the possible impacts occurred.  This research was aimed to predict the pattern of thermal dispersion from cooling water discharge of PT. Badak NGL in Bontang waters, East Kalimantan. Prediction was done using hydrodynamic model and 3-D thermal transport modified from POM (Princeton Ocean Model). Driving forces used in this model were tides, flows of cooling water discharge and rivers discharge.  Choice of time step (t)=0.5 second, with 118 grids (west-east) and 187 grids (north-south), grid size Δx=Δy=30 m. Initial value : u=v=ζ=0, T0 = 28 °C and S0 = 32 ‰. Verification of elevation and temperature between results of models and direct measurement showed a good suitability with correlation value was 0.97 and Mean Relative Error (MRE) 1.31% for elevation verification, correlation 0.90 MRE 5.17% and correlation 0.87 MRE 7.12% for thermal verification during spring and neap tides, repectively. Results simulation revealed the most extreem difference in pattern surface thermal dispersion that found during spring tide for sampling condition of maximum tide and ebb. Distinct difference was especially found at station 8 (mixing point) i.e. 41 °C during maximum ebb and 35 °C during maximum high tide. Whereas, significantly high thermal difference between upper layer and bottom layer was found at station C i.e. around 2,54 °C for dry season scenario and 2,32 °C for wet season scenario Key words: POM, cooling-water discharge, thermal dispersion, rivers discharge, numerical model, Bontang waters

Abstract

Evaluation of Neutron Activation Analysis (NAA) methods performance has been done. The objective is to validate the data form these analysis on the determination of the trace element concentration in the waters and sediments. This evaluation covering test of devices stability, background counting, Figure of Merit (FOM), Critical Level (Lc), Detection Limit (LD), Determination Limit (LQ) and test of quality result. Result show that device in stabil condition  have background counting about 0.0037 to 0.1806 cps, Figure of Merit (FOM) about to 0.0045 to 0.1732 secon. The data result analysis above Critical Level (LC), in LC about 0.07 to 16.42 ppb. Detection Limit (LD) about 0.14 to 32.93 ppb in significant 95% expect Hg obtained LD 1.26 ppb. Determination Limit (LQ) about 0.44 to 100.10 ppb. Test of quality result show that of standardized difference about 15.17% to above 50% and Precision result analysis about 0.01% to 99.00%.   Keywords : NAA Methods, Trace element, devices stability, background counting, Figure of Merit (FOM), Critical Level (Lc), Detection Limit (LD), Determination Limit (LQ) and test of quality result.

Abstract

Era globalisasi menuntut tersedianya sumber daya manusia (SDM) yang bermutu danmempunyai daya saing secara terbuka. Tuntutan tersebut secara simultan telah menjadikan SDMtidak lagi dianggap sebagai pelengkap semata, akan tetapi telah menjadi kekuatan utama bagi industridalam menghasilkan keunggulan dalam konteks yang lebih komprehensif, inovatif dengan sudutpandang yang holistik. Pendidikan yang paling sesuai untuk menghadapi tantangan globalisasi adalahpendidikan yang berorentasi pada dunia kerja dengan penekanan pada pendekatan pembelajarandan didukung oleh kurikulum yang sesuai dengan keinginan dunia kerja. Pendidikan di Indonesia,terutama pendidikan kejuruan dituntut mampu menyiapkan tenaga kerja terampil untuk mengisikeperluan pembangunan, mengubah status siswa dari status beban menjadi aset bangsa,menciptakan sumberdaya manusia profesional yang dapat diandalkan dan unggul menghadapipersaingan global.Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan mutu dan daya saing lulusanpendidikan kejuruan tersebut adalah dengan mengembangkan jejaring kerjasama denganstakeholder. Melalui jejaring kerjasama ini akan terjadi penguatan posisi tawar terhadap stakeholderdalam mengembangkan pendidikan.Manfaat langsung yang diperoleh sekolah lewat jejaring kerjasama di antaranya adalahprogram-program akademik yang diselenggarakan sekolah akan dapat dimantapkan secarasubstansial. Di samping itu juga akan diperoleh manfaat ekonomis akibat pemanfaatan bersamaberbagai sumber daya dan fasilitas yang ada. Abstract

Various kinds of soybean product technology keep expanding and have been successfully decrease pest and soybean disease. Nevertheless, after more detailed examination apparently there is a pathogen bacteria in soybean that can damaged soybean productivity, so, it can be a serious problem because they can decrease a total product of legume protein in soybean. Bacteria that usually infected in soybean is Xanthomonas campestris pv. glycines bacteria that cause lesi disease (nodule). Chitin and chitosan have multifunction like : anti-tumour, strengthen immunization, strengthen the defence toward pathogen in rat, anti-fungus, and antimicrobe. This research was done to know a kind of chitosan and also the effective concentration as the antibacterial agent toward Xanthomonas campestris pv. glycines bacteria. Chitosan that had been examined consist of 8 kinds of chitosan (FCTS (13), 2HX-40/LMCTS-500 (12), LMCTS-200 (1), LMCTS 50, LMCTS-10(8), LMCTS-100, CTSTI and CTSTI substrate. Antibacterial activity of selected chitosan tested in concentration 0%, 0,001%, 0,01%, 0,025% and 0,05%. The method that use is Turbidimetri Method. Two main steps in this research are the selection step of kind of chitosan and the decision of concentrated selected chitosan. The result show that the best chitosan is a kind of CTSTI in concentration 0,05%.

Abstract

Taxonomic study of Allium cepa L. (Amaryllidaceae) in West Java had been conducted based on morphological and anatomical characters. Eight cultivars were obtained from the study, comprising one cultivar (‘Bombay’) from cultivar group Common Onion, six cultivars (‘Bima Brebes’, ‘Maja’, ‘Menteng’ ‘Sumenep’, ‘Kuning’, and ‘Kuning Gombong’) from cultivar group Aggregatum, and one cultivar (‘Batu’) proposed to be a new cultivar group (Common-Aggregatum). An identification key is available to identify cultivars of Allium cepa L. in West Java. Phenetical analysis was conducted by using NTSYSpc version 2.0. Result of phenetical analysis indicated that relationship of A.cepa L. cultivars divided into 2 branches, first branch is cultivar group Common Onion and cultivar group Common-Aggregatum, second branch is cultivar group Aggregatum.

Abstract

Impacts of climate change marked by the increasing emissions of CO2 in the air and increased precipitation make various parties began to feel the need to measure the gas content on a regular basis.These gases gradually accumulating in Earth´s atmospheric layers. However, the desire was constrainedby a number of issues which then affect the accuracy of the continuous mapping circulating gas in theatmosphere. Researchers speculate that the amount of CO2 and other gases is growing each day due tothe many additional human-produced carbon emissions from burning fossil fuels. The results obtained bythe pattern of variability in Semarang rising CO2 and rising precipitation trends show an indication ofclimate change has occurred. Abstract

In nuclear medicine, it is common to exam by using SPECT / SPECT-CT for planar ortomographic imaging. SPECT aircraft can be equipped with one or more detectors. The studyaims to determine the response to the two detectors in SPECT gamma cameras. Furthermore, eachdetector used for renal function. The study consisted of two phases, the first to determine theresponse of each detector using acrylic phantom and the source of Technetium-99m activity of1mCi to 25 mCi. The second stage, renal function tests with planar imaging in four patients usingdetector 1 and detector 2. Acrylic phantom measurement results show the detector response 1 wasrelatively higher. Although the detector 2 has a lower response but is still linear with respect to the activity. In the examination of the kidneys, the evaluation focused on image analysis, count rate, uptake, GFR and transit function of time. The fourth image shows the patient count rate ofdetector 1 is also relatively high. Left kidney uptake value detection results both detectors showedno significant differences, with a mean value (48.3 ± 3.9)% and (51.7 ± 2.2)% for detector 1 anddetector 2. Both detectors generate GFR values in all four patients were in the range of 58-96 ml /min of detector 1 and 75-98 ml / min of detector 2. The results of these two detection detectortransit time function shows the left kidney patients in all phases of the four showed no significantdifferences. It was concluded that the two detectors have relatively low response but is still linearwith respect to the activity. Diselenggarakan dari pagi jam 08.00 dan selesai jam 16.00, di Udinus, Jalan. Nakula I no. 5-11 Semarang. Abstract

ZnO thin film has been deposited on the glass with a spray coating technique. Gel of ZnO 0.5 M was synthesized by dissolving 0.5 M zinc acetate dehydrate in isopropanol andmonoethanolamine solution at room temperature with the molar ratio of MEA and ZnAc is 1:1. The solution was stirred using a magnetic stirrer at 70°C for 30 minutes to get the clear and homogeneous ZnO gel. ZnO gel is placed on the spray hole and sprayed on a heated glasssubstrate till 40oC. Then, the spraying layer spraying was allowed to stand for 3 days tostrengthen the contact with glass layer. Deposition results of ZnO layer is transparent withtransmittance values of 71.4 % and decreases with a decrease in wavelength imposed on the layer.The energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) results show the composition of zinc (Zn) is less than theoxygen (O) with a ratio Zn : O = 38.44 % : 61.56 %. The scanning electron microscopy (SEM)results show ZnO thin film has a smooth and homogeneous surface with a grain size of 57 nm. Thetest results demonstrate ZnO layer has a band gap value of 3.01 eV. The drying corn shows thatdirectly drying using sunlight has a faster rate compared using ZnO glass. Surface morphology ofthe layer of dried corn using ZnO glass has brighter color and lice compared to directly drying onsunlight.Keywords: Photocatalyst, ZnO, Thin Film, Spray Coating, Corn, Drying
