THE INCREASING ACTIVITIES AND WRITING SKILL TO COMPOSE DESCRIPTIONS USING VIDEO MEDIA

Abstract

This research use classroom  action  research. Implemented in 3 cycles,  each cycle comprises four phases namely (a) planning, (b) action,  (c)  observing,  and  (d)  reflection. The  results  show that  using video mediaactivity  have increase students skill  on writing essay description. The  average percentage of students in the first cycle activity of 59,88%, 72,22% second cycle, andthird cycle of 87,65%. Recapitulation increased counted, (1) from cycle I to cycle II is increased by 12,34%, (2) from cycle II to cycle III is increased by 15,43%. While the value of the performance teachers in the first cycle 69,73, 76,76 for the second cycleand third cycle 92,97. Recapitulation increased counted, (1) from cycle I to cycle II is increased by 7,03, (2) from cycle II to cycle III is increased by 16.21. Similarly, theaverage grade of students on essay writing skill descriptions cycle is 64,15, 69,70 forthe second cycle and third cycle is 76,40. Recapitulation increased counted, (1) fromcycle  I  to cycle  II is  increased  by 5,55,  (2) from the  second  cycle to third  cycleincreased by 6,7.Keywords: activity, video media,writing skill

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh moral terhadap prestasi belajar PKn pada siswa kelas 3 SDN Serayu Yogyakarta.Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret 2015 di SDN Serayu Yogyakarta. Populasi adalah seluruh siswa kelas 3 SDN Serayu Yogyakarta tahun pelajaran 2014/2015, sejumlah 78 siswa. Sampel ditetapkan dengan quota sampling sejumlah 53 responden. Pengumpulan data variabel moral kuesioner dan prestasi belajar Pkn dokumentasi nilai rapor semester ganjil tahun 2014/2015. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis adalah teknik regresi sederhana.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan moral terhadap prestasi belajar PKn pada siswa kelas 3 SDN Serayu Yogyakarta, dengan F-hitung sebesar 5,488 dan p sebesar 0,022. Sumbangan moral terhadap prestasi belajar PKn sebesar 9,7%. Hasil penelitian dapat menjadi bahan pertimbangan bagi kepala sekolah untuk memotivasi guru untuk mengidentifikasi dan meningkatkan moral siswa sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar PKn.Kata Kunci : Moral, Prestasi Belajar Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan (PKn)ABSTRACTThis study aim to determine the morality influence on civic learning achievement of III Class at Serayu Elementary School Yogyakarta.The research was conducted in March 2015. The populations are 78 students. Sample is set with quota sampling a number of 53 respondents. Data collection technique of questionnaire morality variable and documentation of civic learning achievement from the add score report 2014/2015 Academic Year. The data analysis technique used to test the hypothesis is simple regression techniques.The results showed that there are significant morality influence on civic learning achievement with the F-count equal to 5.488 and p equal to 0.022. Moral contribution to the learning achievement Civics amounted to 9.7%. The results of the study can be considered for headmaster to motivate teachers to identify and improve the morality of students as effort to improve civic learning achievement.Keywords: Morality, Citizenship Education Learning Achievement (Civics)
