Abstract

Abstract: The aims of this research are to know: (1) which one gives better students’ mathematics achievement, cooperative model of NHT type with RME, cooperative model of GI type with RME or conventional model, (2) which one has better students’ mathematics achievement, student having high creativity, medium or low, and (3) for any level of creativities, which one gives better students’ mathematics achievement, cooperative model of NHT type with RME, cooperative model of GI type with RME or conventional model and for any kind of models which one has better students’ mathematics achievement, student having high creativity, medium or low. The type of this research was a quasi experimental by 3x3 factorial design.The population in this research was the seventh grade students of junior high school in Pontianak in the academic year 2012/2013. Sampling was done by stratified cluster random sampling. The instrument of research using mathematics achievement test and verbal creativity test. The conclusions of the research were as follows. (1) There is an influence of the learning model toward students’ mathematics achievement. Cooperative model of NHT type with RME provides  students’ mathematics achievement better than the cooperative model of GI type with RME and conventional model. Cooperative model of GI type with RME provides students’ mathematics achievement better than the conventional model. (2) There is an influence of the student’s creativity level toward students’ mathematics achievement. Students having high creativity have better mathematics achievement than students having medium and low creativity. Students having medium creativity have better mathematics achievement than students with low creativity. (3) For any level of creativities that the cooperative model of NHT type with RME gives better student’s mathematics achievement than cooperative model of GI type with RME and conventional model, and cooperative model of GI type with RME gives better students’ mathematics achievement than conventional model. For any kind of models, students having high creativity have better mathematics achievement than students having medium and low creativity, and students having medium have better mathematics achievement than students having low creativity. Abstract

This study aimed to compare the results between student given learning mathematics instruction in the subject of trigonometry using a scientific approach and which does not use a scientific approach in the Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika PGRI Pontianak. The method used is the method of experimental research, the research form quasi-experimental design. This is because the educational research often are difficult to control manipulate all relevant variables. Results of this study are average student results provided scientific approach that is equal to 24.06 of a maximum score of 40. That is the percentage of scientific learning outcomes of 60.15% (quite enough). While the average student results are given learning without a scientific approach that is equal to 20.72 of a maximum score of 40. That is the percentage of learning outcomes without scientific amounted to 51.8% (relatively low). It can be concluded that the learning outcomes of students who are taught using a scientific approach is better than the learning outcomes of students who are taught not to use a scientific approach.

Abstract

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan langkah-langkah pengembangan bahan ajar untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membuktikan kesamaan unsur-unsur trigonometri mahasiswa. Pengembangan bahan ajar ini memodifikasi model 4-D  dari Thiagarajan. Pengembangan bahan ajar trigonometri ini telah dilakukan mulai dari tahap pendefinisian, perancangan hingga pada tahap pengembangan dengan penilaian oleh tim ahli. Tahap pendefinisian, dilakukan dengan cara menganalisis kelemahan dan kebutuhan mahasiswa untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membuktikan kesamaan unsur-unsur trigonometri. Tahap perancangan, dilakukan penyusunan prototype bahan ajar sesuai kebutuhan. Tahap pengembangan dilakukan dengan meminta tim ahli memberikan penilaian, komentar, dan saran terhadap prototipe sebelum bahan ajar tersebut digunakan, kemudian merevisi hal-hal yang perlu sesuai dengan saran tim penilai ahli. Berdasarkan pendapat tiga orang penilai, bahan ajar yang telah disusun tergolong valid baik dari segi kecermatan isi, kecernaan, penggunaan bahasa, maupun perwajahan, dengan beberapa catatan perbaikan. Kata Kunci: Pengembangan, bahan ajar, trigonometri

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) hasil belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Teori Bilangan setelah diberikan responsi, 2) hasil belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Teori Bilangan yang tidak diberikan responsi dan 3) manakah yang memiliki hasil belajar lebih baik antara mahasiswa yang diberikan responsi dan mahasiswa yang tidak diberikan responsi pada mata kuliah Teori Bilangan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian eksperimen dengan bentuk penelitiannya adalah Quasy Experimental Design. Sedangkan rancangan yang digunakan adalah Posttest-Only Control Design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh mahasiswa Pendidikan Matematika Semester II yang terdiri dari 4 rombongan belajar (kelas) yakni 2 kelas pagi (IIA & IIB) dan 2 kelas sore (IIA & IIB). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan, disimpulkan sebagai berikut. 1) Hasil belajar mahasiswa yang diberikan responsi tergolong baik yaitu dengan rata-rata sebesar 75,05 dan variansi sebesar 194,02. 2) Hasil belajar mahasiswa yang tidak diberikan responsi tergolong baik yaitu dengan rata-rata sebesar 70,29 dan variansi sebesar 193,40. 3) Hasil belajar mahasiswa yang diberikan responsi lebih baik daripada mahasiswa yang tidak diberikan responsi dengan  = 0,009. Kata Kunci: pengaruh, responsi, teori bilangan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan soal induksi matematika yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa laki-laki dan perempuan, (2) penyebab kesalahan yang dilakukan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal induksi matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Strategi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tunggal terpancang dengan subyek penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester II program studi pendidikan matematika IKIP PGRI Pontianak tahun akademik 2010/2011. Pemilihan subyek menggunakan purposive sampling yaitu sebanyak 2 orang mahasiswa dan 2 orang mahasiswi yang memperoleh nilai terendah dalam menyelesaikan soal induksi matematika. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah tes berbentuk essay sebanyak 3 soal dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) jenis kesalahan yang dialami mahasiswa laki-laki dan perempuan dalam mengerjakan soal Induksi Matematika antara lain kesalahan pemahaman konsep dan kesalahan prosedur aturan Induksi Matematika, (2) faktor-faktor penyebab kesalahan mahasiswa antara lain: kurangnya penguasaan konsep Induksi Matematika, kurang menuliskan apa yang diketahui dan apa yang ditanyakan sehingga mahasiswa langsung mengoperasikan ke dalam rumus, kurang teliti dalam melakukan operasi hitung dan tergesa-gesa dalam mengerjakan soal sehingga menimbulkan kesalahan. Kata Kunci: analisis, kesalahan mahasiswa, induksi matematika.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) mana yang lebih efektif, pembelajaran menggunakan metode diskusi dengan pendekatan Quantum Learning (QL) atau pembelajaran konvensional; (2) mana yang mempunyai prestasi belajar matematika lebih baik, siswa dengan tipe kepribadian Sanguinis atau Phlegmatis; (3) mana yang lebih efektif untuk masing-masing tipe kepribadian siswa, pembelajaran menggunakan metode diskusi dengan  pendekatan QL atau pembelajaran konvensional.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental semu dengan populasi seluruh siswa SMP Se-Kabupaten Lampung Timur. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik stratified cluster random sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 202 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi metode dokumentasi untuk mendapatkan nilai ujian akhir semester genap kelas VII sebagai data kemampuan awal; metode tes untuk data prestasi belajar matematika siswa; dan metode angket untuk data tipe kepribadian siswa. Uji hipotesis penelitian menggunakan analisis variansi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut.(1) Pembelajaran matematika menggunakan metode diskusi dengan pendekatan pembelajaran QL lebih efektif dibandingkan pembelajaran matematika menggunakan metode diskusi dengan pendekatan pembelajaran konvensional. (2) Pada siswa dengan tipe kepribadian Sanguinis maupun Phlegmatis memiliki prestasi belajar matematika yang sama. (3) Untuk masing-masing tipe kepribadian, pembelajaran menggunakan metode diskusi dengan pendekatan QL lebih efektif dibandingkan pembelajaran matematika menggunakan metode diskusi dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Kata kunci: Pendekatan Quantum Learning, Tipe KepribadianSanguinis dan Phlegmatis

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the ability of adaptive reasoning of junior high school students in Pontianak, which is divided into categories of secondary, middle and lower schools. This research is descriptive research with research form is survey. Sampling in this research using stratified cluster random sampling technique. Of the 23 existing schools thereafter were randomly assigned to each school to represent high school, middle class, and low school. Categorization of schools based on the value of students National Exam. Based on the result of research analysis, it is found that the average of adaptive reasoning ability of junior high school students in Pontianak is 42,96% with enough category. While the average adaptive reasoning ability of high, medium and low students is 48.82% (enough), 41.06% (enough), and 39% (enough), respectively.
