Abstract

Variasi dan hubungan similaritas 26 strain Salmonella typhi Isolat Jawa merupakanawal untuk melacak protein sub unit pilli spesifik yang memiliki aktivitas hemaglutinasi.Tujuan penelitian analisis molekuler profil protein pilli untuk mengungkap hubungansimilaritas 26 Strain S. typhi Isolat Jawa.Analisis dilakukan terhadap 26 strain yang berasal dari Surabaya, Madiun,Malang, Salatiga, Magelang, Bandung, Bogor, Jakarta, Yogyakarta dengan elektroforesisSDS-PAGE. Analisis hubungan similaritas digunakan program MVSP, untukmengkonstruksi dendogram yang mencerminkan klasifikasi dari 26 strain S. typhi IsolatJawa berdasarkan nilai indeks similaritas (S SM ) dengan algoritma UPGMA.Hasil analisis profil protein pili menunjukkan (1) Jumlah pita protein sub unitpilli bervariasi : 8-17 pita, BM tertinggi 200 kD, terendah 10 kD, dengan 20 karakter. (2)Protein 100 kD, 50 kD, 45 kD dan 40 kD adalah protein sub unit pilli yang dimiliki oleh26 strain S. typhi Isolat Jawa. (3) Dari 26 strain S. typhi Isolat Jawa terdiri dari duakelompok besar yang mempunyai indeks similaritas 61,2%. Kelompok pertama adalahstrain S. typhi Isolat Jawa Tengah dan Jawa Timur, dan kelompok ke dua adalah strain S.typhi Isolat Jawa Barat dan DKI. Pita 14 (12,5 kD) dan 15 (78kD) dari protein sub unitpilli hanya dimiliki strain S. typhi dari Surabaya. Pita 18(35kD) dan 20 (72kD) dariprotein sub unit pilli hanya dimiliki oleh Strain S. typhi dari DKI Jakarta.

Abstract

The study was conducted with the aim to know the probabilirlt of sodium chloride as a partial substitlttion alternative of patassium chloride on sorghum plants cultivution technique. Two varieties ofsarghum (Sl : local ketan and 52 : introduction UPCA-SI) were subjected to K-Na fertilizers (Pl : 100%oK+0%oNa; P2 = 80%K+20%Na; P3 = 6Ao%K+409zoNa; P4 = 40%K+6A%Na; P5 : 20%K+B0%Na; and P6 = A%oK+100%Na). The teatments w^ere allotted to a campletely randomized design with two factorial pattern and 5 replications. The parameters observed were growth of plants (plant height and leafnumber), chlorophyll content, leaf nitrate reductase activity, dry matter, wet matter yield, and dry matter yield. The data were analyzed by variance analysis and Duncan multiple range test 5o%. Results of theexperiments indicated that: (1) The local ketan sorghum had more plant height, chlorophyll content, dry matter and wet matter yield higher than the introcluction UPCA-SI sorghum; (2) Substitution capacity oJKCI by NaCl could be reached on 100%o (0%K+100%Na) with highest yield on P4 (40%oK+60%oNa); and (j) The local ketan sorghum had more responsible to fertilizer K-Na than the other one.Keywords: probabiliry, sodium chloride, potassium choride, sorghum

Abstract

Abstract This experiment was carry out with an aim to analyze of food potency and audibility relating to food security in Central of Java. The result indicated that: (1) Food potency was Dominated by vegetables food (paddy, corn, soybean, sweet potatoes, sugar and fruit) and animal food (meat, milk, egg and Fish); (2) Food avaibility in Central of Java was sufficient, except soybean, sugar, egg, and milk; (3) Food consumption was completely, except soybean, meat, egg and milk; and (4) Food security was inclined to be decrease from year to year with score index 0.97 to 0.90, although it’s still save for food security. Abstract

This study aims to (i) Obtain the direction of the policy of strengthening student activities in the fields of developing talent, interest, reasoning and entrepreneurship carried out at RadenIntan Lampung State Islamic University. (ii) can provide direction for the development of ealistic policies in order to strengthen student activity programs in the areas of talent development, interest, reasoning and entrepreneurship at Raden Intan Lampung UIN. (iii) How do the academics and institutions of Raden Intan Lampung UIN view the development of the direction of the policy of strengthening student activities in the fields of developing talents, interests, reasoning and entrepreneurship? The method used in this study is a customized research and development (R & D) method. Preparation of the direction of policy for strengthening student activities in the field of reasoning. In the second year Limited Piloting and Evaluation will be conducted, while in the same year Piloting and Evaluation Extensions will also be conducted. The results of this study are (i) The problem of funding student development programs especially in the field of student reasoning has been considered to have received less serious attention so that it has an impact on the achievement of the students who follow the reasoning field development program, which is very minimal and often not involved the arena of competition in the field of reasoning. (ii) The direction of the policy of strengthening student activities in the field of developing talents, interests, reasoning and student entrepreneurship that UIN needs to run is involving students in lecturer research, developing student entrepreneurship programs, linking PKM activities with Real Work Lectures (KKN), forming special teams related strengthening student reasoning, strengthening the annual routine agenda program of reasoning activities, as well as developing student talent, interests, reasoning and entrepreneurship programs that cover the PKM, scientific work, seminars, arts and culture, sports c and other similar activities.

Abstract

National character education aims to form a strong, competitive, moral, tolerant nation, mutual cooperation, patriotic spirit, dynamic development, knowledge and technology oriented all of which are inspired by faith and piety to the Almighty God as in aspiring to the Pancasila philosophy. Character education is an important issue in the world of education related to the phenomenon of moral decadence that occurs in the community as well as in an increasingly diverse and diverse government environment. Crime, injustice, corruption, violence against children, violation of human rights, are evidence that there has been a crisis of identity and characteristics of the Indonesian nation. The values of politeness, and religiosity that are upheld and become the culture of the Indonesian nation as long as it seems to be weak and feels foreign along with the entry of global cultural values (global culture of the era), so that it is rarely encountered in the midst of society. Islamic education is a strategic answer in realizing the formation of national character from the family (informal), institutional institutions (formal) and learning groups in the community (non-formal), which is the main capital in the formation of national character.

Abstract

The study was aimed to evaluate the physical characteristics of the pressed complete feed in the forms of cube, cylinder and ball. The study was conducted to get a complete feed of dairy cows that can be developed commercially. The evaluation was done on a physical test : bulkiness, hardness and hygroscopic properties of pressed complete feeds.  The results of this research showed that the bulkiness of pressed complete feed in the forms cubes, cylinders and balls were between 0.20 up to 0.48 liter/kg; the hardness of pressed complete feed, cylinders and balls were 3 lbs up to 14 lbs; the hygroscopic factor of pressed complete feed in the forms cubes, cylinders and balls were around 1.10% up to 9.69%. The pressed complete feed in the forms of cube and cylinder are better than  the form of ball in physical characteristics.doi: 10.12777/ijse.4.2.2013.61-65

Abstract

ABSTRACTBackground: Iron fortification of wet noodles is a choice among many others, to reduce iron deficiency anemia. Organic andinorganic iron interact with provitamin A. An experiment was conducted to fortify wet noodles with organic and inorganic iron and provitamin A from pumpkin, and to study its effect on acceptance and its iron and provitamin A content.Methods: Six groups were used in this experiment to test optimal level of iron fortification (100 ppm, 150 ppm, 200 ppm of FeSO4 or organic iron). As for pumpkin, 10%, 15% and 20% were used. To test iron and provitamin A content, 5 groups were employed: wet noodle alone, wet noodle + (FeSO4), + (organic Fe), + (FeSO4 & pumpkin), and + (organic Fe & pumpkin) respectively. Data were evaluated by one-way ANOVA and continued by Duncan’s test with 95% CI.Result: Noodle fortified with 200 ppm iron was acceptable in term color, taste and texture. Adding 15% pumpkin improved texture optimally compared to 10% and 20%. In term color and taste, 10%, 15% and 20% pumpkin addition gave similar acceptance. Fortification of iron and provitamin A from pumpkin didn’t affect the moisture, protein, fat, fiber, and carbohydrate content but increased iron, ash and betacarotene content. Highest content of iron and provitamin A were found in noodles + (FeSO4 + pumpkin) and noodles + (organic Fe + pumpkin).Conclusion: Iron and provitamin A fortified wet noodles can serve as a choice for eliminating iron deficiency anemia in Indonesia. Besi organik dan anorganik dapat berinteraksi dengan provitamin A. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memfortifikasi mie basah dengan besi organik dan anorganik serta provitamin A labu kuning, dan untuk mengetahui pengaruhnya terhadap daya terima, kadar besi dan provitamin A pada mie basah.Metode: Enam perlakuan digunakan dalam penelitian untuk optimasi kadar besi fortifikan (100 ppm, 150 ppm, dan 200 ppm FeSO4 atau Fe organik). Labu kuning yang digunakan 10%, 15%, dan 20%. Untuk mengetahui kadar besi dan provitamin A digunakan 5 perlakuan: mie basah, mie basah + (FeSO4), + (Fe organik), + (FeSO4 & labu kuning), dan + (Fe organik & labu kuning). Data dianalisis dengan one-way ANOVA dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan dengan 95% CI.Hasil: Mie yang difortifikasi dengan 200 ppm zat besi dapat diterima dari sisi warna, rasa dan tekstur. Penambahan labu kuning 15% memberikan tekstur yang lebih baik dibandingkan 10% dan 20%. Dari sisi warna dan rasa, penambahan labu kuning 10%, 15% dan 20% mempunyai daya terima yang sama. Fortifikasi besi dan provitamin A labu kuning tidak mempengaruhi kadar air, protein, lemak, serat dan karbohidrat tetapi meningkatkan kadar besi, abu dan betakaroten. Kadar besi dan provitamin A tertinggi terdapat pada mie + (FeSO4 +labu) dan mie + (Fe organik + labu).Simpulan: Mie basah yang difortifikasi besi dan provitamin Aberupa labu kuning dapat menjadi alternatif untuk mengatasianemia gizi besi di Indonesia. Diperlukan penelitian lanjutanuntuk mengetahui bioavailabilitas dan keefektifan mie yangdifortifkasi untuk mengurangi anemia.

Abstract

Subterranean termite, Macrotermes, play important role on plant nutritive cycles through disintegration and decomposition of organic matter processes.  In the other hand, subterranean termite can cause wooden damage in the nature and human dormitory as well. Therefore, Macrotermes are potential pest and need to be controlled.  Effective pest-control of subterranean termite can be made when their species status and distribution are well known. This research is aimed to identify the status of species and the dispersal of Macrotermes at their natural habitat in order to explore natural bio-resources richness and as an effort towards effective pest-control due to increasing risk of attack.  Survey method was used termite samples were collected at four different locations which are defined by global positioning system (GPS).  Nest classification is according to Meyer et al. (2003). The nest mapping is based on the elevations of their natural habitat in Gunung Halimun Salak National Park (900-1000 asl), and (600-700 asl), Yanlappa sanctuary (200-300 asl), and Ujung Kulon Nasional Park (0-100 asl). Phylogenetic relationships analysis showed that subterranean termite Macrotermes in the natural forest community are belongs to one big group Macrotermes gilvus Hagen. Based on nest size, the colony of Macrotermes can be classified into three different sizes: large, medium, and small nest.  Large and medium nest can be found in large amount in Yanlappa sanctuary (15 and 23 colonies, respectively) and the majority of small nest occurred in Gunung Halimun Salak National Park at 900 asl (78 colonies). Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji serapan nitrogen dan fosfor tanaman eceng gondok pada “perairan” yang mendapatkan kotoran itik. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuannya adalah T0 = limbah kotoran itik 0 gram/liter air, dan digunakan sebagai kontrol, T1 = limbah kotoran itik 5 gram/liter air, T2 = limbah kotoran itik 10 gram/liter air, T3 = limbah kotoran itik 15 gram/liter air, dan T4 = limbah kotoran itik 20 gram/liter air. Parameter penelitian adalah serapan nitrogen dan serapan fosfor eceng gondok. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis ragam dilanjutkan dengan perbandingan nilai tengah BNJ untuk melihat uji beda dan uji Polinomial Ortogonal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan kotoran itik berpengaruh terhadap serapan nitrogen dan fosfor (P<0,05). Serapan N tertinggi sebesar 319,8159 mg dicapai pada perlakuan 20,00 g/l air, sedangkan serapan P tertinggi sebesar 607,9949 mg dicapai pada perlakuan 20,00 g/l air.Kata kunci: eceng gondok, kotoran itik, serapan nitrogen, serapan fosforABSTRACTThe study aims to examine nitrogen and phosphor uptake of water hyacinth as forage resources in “water” by addition of duck manure. Experimental design used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications. Treatment applied were T0 = control, no duck manure addition; T1 = addition of 5 g/l of duck manure; T2 = addition of 10 g/l of duck manure; T3 = addition of 15 g/l of duck manure; T4 = addition of 20 g/l duck manure. Parameters observed are nitrogen uptake and phosphor uptake. Data were analyzed with Analysis of Variance and if there was a significant treatment effect data were continue analyzed by Tukey’s Honestly Significance Difference Test and Orthogonal Polynomial test. The results showed that the addition of duck manure affect uptake of nitrogen and phosphor (P <0.05). The uptake of N and P of water hyacinth with maximum levels occurred in 319,8159 mg the treatment of 20.00 g / l for the uptake of N and 607,9949 mg the treatment 20.00 g / l for the uptake of P. Abstract

ABSTRAK Kualitas dan produktivitas alfalfa dipengaruhi oleh perlakuan yang diberikan antara lain tinggi pemotongan, jenis dan dosis pupuk. Penelitian bertujuan mengkaji karakteristik fotosintetik (luas daun, jumlah klorofil, laju fotosintesis) dan serapan fosfor hijauan alfalfa pada tinggi pemotongan dan pemupukan nitrogen yang berbeda. Penelitian dilaksanakan bulan Juli sampai Desember 2011. Penanaman alfalfa dilakukan di lahan Dusun Milir, Desa Kenteng, Kecamatan Bandungan, Kabupaten Semarang dengan ketinggian tempat + 800 mdpl. Analisis dilakukan di Laboratorium Ilmu Tanaman Makanan Ternak, Jurusan Nutrisi dan Makanan Ternak, Fakultas Peternakan dan Pertanian, Universitas Diponegoro, Semarang. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok pola faktorial 2 x 4 dengan 3 ulangan. Kelompok sebagai ulangan. Tinggi pemotongan (T) sebagai faktor pertama (T1 = 5 cm dan T2 = 10 cm), dan dosis pupuk nitrogen (N) sebagai faktor kedua (N1 = 0 kg , N2 = 30 kg, N3 = 60 kg dan N4 = 90 kg N/ha). Parameter yang diamati dalam penelitian adalah karakteristik fotosintesis (luas daun, jumlah klorofil, laju fotosintesis) dan serapan fosfor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemupukan nitrogen sampai dosis 90 kg N/ha serta tinggi pemotongan 5 dan 10 cm tidak berpengaruh pada luas daun, jumlah klorofil, laju fotosintesis dan serapan fosfor hijauan alfalfa. Tidak ada interaksi antara tinggi pemotongan dengan pemupukan nitrogen terhadap luas daun, jumlah klorofil, laju fotosintesis dan serapan fosfor hijauan alfalfa.Kata kunci : Alfalfa, tinggi pemotongan, pupuk nitrogen, fotosintesis, serapan fosforABSTRACT Quality and productivity of alfalfa was influence for good management, for example defoliation intensity, variety and dosage of fertilizer. The research was carried out on July until December 2011 at the garden in the village Kenteng, Bandungan, Semarang located at an altitude + 800 mdpl. Analysis was carried out at Forages Crops Laboratory, Faculty of Animal Agriculture, Diponegoro University. The design using randomized block design 2x4 factorial with 3 replications. The first was defoliation intensity (T1 = 5 cm and T2 = 10 cm) the second factor was dosage of nitrogen fertilizer (N1 = 0 kg , N2 = 30 kg, N3 = 60 kg and N4 = 90 kg N/ha). Parameters such as photosynthesis characteristics (leaf area, chlorophyll content and photosynthesis rate) and phospor uptake. The results showed that nitrogen fertilization until dosage 90 kg N/ha and defoliation intensity 5 and 10 cm did not affect to leaf area, chlorophyll content and photosynthesis rate and phospor uptake.
