Abstract

Ketersediaan sumber makanan di suatu perairan memungkinkan terjadinya interaksi pemangsaan antar ikan. Untuk memastikan dugaan ini, perlu dilakukan analisis saluran pencernaan, dan analisis korelasi antara mangsa dengan ikan predator. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui interaksi pemangsaan melalui identikasi jenis dan jumlah makanan dalam saluran pencernaan ikan teri, dan menentukan korelasi antara mangsa dengan ikan predator? yang terdapat di lokasi penelitian. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei melalui kegiatan experimental shing dengan bagan. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dari bulan Mei-Juli 2005 pada 8 lokasi di perairan Barru, Selat Makassar. Terjadi interkasi pemangsaan antara teri dengan plankton, dan antara teri dengan ikan-ikan predator di sekitar sumber cahaya. Komposisi jumlah zooplankton dalam saluran pencernaan teri adalah 94% dan toplankton 6%. Jenis plankton yang ditemukan dalam saluran pencernaan teri meliputi copepoda (50%) dan malacostraca (27%), telur/larva (9%), nauplius (5%), diatom (4%), dan plankton lain 5%. Terdapat korelasi positif antara jumlah zooplankton dalam saluran pencernaan teri dengan kelimpahan zooplankton di perairan, namun tidak berkorelasi pada toplankton. Korelasi positif terjadi juga antara jumlah tangkapan teri dengan kelimpahan zooplankton di perairan. Ikan teri merupakan komponen makanan yang utama dalam saluran pencernaan ikan selar dan peperek. Kata kunci :? pemangsaan,? pencernaan, plankton, teri, perairan Barru?Availability of preys in the waters maybe create predation interaction among fishes. Hence, it is important to analyze the stomach content of fishes, and relationship between prey and predator fishes. The objectives of this research were to know the predation interaction through the identification of kind and amount of food on anchovy?s stomach, and to determine the relationship between prey and predator fishes which found around of research location. Method that used on this research was survey through experimental fishing with liftnet (bagan). Data of research were collected from May - July 2005 at 8 locations in Barru waters of Makassar Strait. There were some predation interaction between plankton and anchovy, and between anchovy? and predator fishes around the source of light. The amount composition of zooplankton and? phytoplankton in the digestive system (stomach) of anchovy were 94% and 6%. The kind of plankton that found in the digestive system of anchovy were copepod (50%), malacostraca (27%), egg/larvae of fish (9%), nauplius (5%), diatome (4%), and others plankton (5%). There was significant correlation between the amount of zooplankton in anchovy?s stomach and abundance of zooplankton in the waters, but there was not significant for phytoplankton. Significant correlation also accured between the number of anchovy catches and abundance of zooplanktons in the waters. Abstract

In the construction world, concrete is a material that is widely used and is a major component of the building. Excess concrete, among others, has a higher compressive strength than tensile strength, easy to set up, requires no special care, easy stacking of materials obtained from the enviorment, and is more durable than other building materials. However, concrete has a shortage of great weight of the contents so that the load capacity to be sustained relatively larger foundation.The produce bulk density lighter concrete with compressive strenght is relatively larger in order to ease the burned of the foundation, it would require replacement of one of the concrete composition in order to get a lighter weigth. Sawdust, is one of the materials selected as a substitute for fine aggregate (sand), to obtain a lighter weight concrete. Sawdust used are acacia, with the percentage taken proportional to the weight of the cement, but the number does not change but the percentage of cement is replaced heavy fine aggregate (sand).From the tests performed by the replacement of the composition, obtained a large percentage of the limit to get the concrete compressive strength 175 kg/cm2 is 4% with a reduction in the compressive strength of 40.527% of the normal concrete with compressive strength value is 184.444 kg/cm2 and bulk density values were also concrete decreased by 11.128% of the weight of concrete the normal value to 2011.704 kg/m3. For the lightweight concrete obtained look at the composition of the addition of 100% sawdust and 50% of the cement composition beginning with the compressive strength of concrete produces 72.222 kg/cm2 and the weight content of the concrete values is 1243.259 kg/m3 which is the result meets the quality standards of lightweight concrete according to the Procedure for Making Mixed Concrete plan light, 2002, that the value of the compressive strength of 70.234 kg/cm2 – 175.331 kg/cm2 and a weight of lightweight concrete content of 800 kg/m3 – 1400 kg/m3.

http://dx.doi.org/10.17014/ijog.vol4no1.20094An active convergence of continental margin is probably generated in Gondwanaland during Permian to Triassic period which is characterized by the presence of magmatic and volcanic belts and back-arc ba- sins occupied respectively by Permian to Triassic rocks. The magmatic belt is occupied by peraluminous granitic plutons showing characteristics of S- type granite and is considered as tin-bearing granites. The back-arc basins are occupied by the Southern Papua and Galille-Bowen-Gunnedah-Sydney Basins. Those large basins are respectivelly filled by fluvial, fluvio- deltaic to marine Permian-Triassic sediments, which are unconformably overlain by the Jurrassic-Cretaceous marine succession. The paleomagnetic data, confirmed by flora content found in Australia and Papua, indicate that those areas initially belong to the Gondwanaland before part of them were drifted and rotated into the present day position. Tectonically, the presence of those Permian-Triassic magmatic-volcanic belts and back-arc basins in behind, indicates that at the time there were huge compressive activities: convergence of paleo-oceanic Pasific Plate moving westward, collided and subducted into the Southeastern Gondwana Continental Plate, moved relatively eastwards. This phenomenon resembles to the formation of Sumatera Tertiary tectonic zones producing back-arc basins, i.e. South Sumatera, Central, and North Sumatera Basins including the Tertiary Magmatic Arc. Concerning the similarity of Permian-Triassic geological condition of the magmatic arc and back-arc basins in Eastern Indonesia and Eastern Australia including paleoposition, paleotectonic setting, strati- graphic succession, and lithologic composition, it is suggested to carry out an increase in a more intens- ive tin exploration in the Eastern Indonesia, e.g. Bird Head area and Banggai Sula Island, and also for hydrocarbon target (coal, coalbed methane, oil and gas, and oil shale) in the Southern Papua Basin, East Indonesia. This suggestion is confirmed by cassiterite and hydrocarbon discoveries and exploitation activ- ity in the Eastern Australia and also a new seismic data of the Semai Basin a part of Southern Papua Basin. This seismic record shows a more complete stratigraphic sucession and a number of large structure traps of stratigraphic levels in which the Permian-Triassic units are included within the sequence.

Abstract

Model transpor sedimen dan perubahan topografi dasar pantai akibat pengaruh medan gelombang dan arus perairan pantai telah dibangun untuk mensimulasikan evolusi (erosi-deposisi) perairan pantai Mattoanging, Bantaeng, Sulawesi Selatan. Model medan arus yang dibangkitkan oleh gelombang disimulasikan dengan menggunakan model hidrodinamika 2D-horizontal. Selanjutnya persamaan kekekalan massa sedimen digunakan untuk prediksi perubahan topografi dasar pantai berdasarkan model prediksi Watanabe dan Maruyama. Persamaan pengatur tersebut diselesaikan dengan metoda numerik beda hingga eksplisit. Input model perubahan topografi dasar pantai diperoleh dari model gelombang dan arus yang dibangkitkan oleh gelombang laut. Hasil simulasi model arus yang dibangkitkan oleh gelombang pada musim Barat memberikan magnitudo kecepatan berkisar (0.0 - 1.81) m/det dengan arah Timur menyusuri pantai dan pada musim Timur hasil model berkisar (0.0 - 0.82) m/det dengan arah Barat. Penerapan model transpor sedimen dan perubahan topografi dasar pantai dilakukan dua skenario. Skenario pertama dilakukan simulasi menggunakan data batimetri pantai Mattoanging tanpa jetty. Skenario ini menghasilkan perubahan topografi dasar pantai di sepanjang pantai. Skenario kedua dilakukan simulasi dengan jetty di daerah model. Skenario ini menghasilkan perubahan topografi dasar pantai di sekitar jetty karena arus melemah oleh adanya jetty. Model yang telah dibangun cukup mampu memperlihatkan fenomena fisis transpor sedimen dan perubahan morfologi perairan pantai yang disebabkan oleh pengaruh gelombang dan arus perairan pantai.

Abstract

This report was aimed to describe the behavioral changes of catfish as observed before two different earthquakes hit the Province of Aceh, Indonesia in year of 2012. A number of 5 African’s catfish (Clarias gariepinus) were placed in an aquarium located in Gapang, Sukakarya Sub-district of Sabang Town, Aceh. Their behavior activities were observed manually at three different times (08.00 AM, 01.00 PM, and 05.00 PM) every day from 1st March up to 11th April 2012. The result of observation showed that the activity of catfish was different between all of them from 1st March 2012 up to morning observation on 11th April 2012. Most of those activities was not showed as very active behavior. However, their behavior was very active in the same pattern when observed at noon and afternoon times on 11 April 2012. On this date, there were two consecutive earthquakes happened at magnitude of >8 Richter Scale at 03.38 PM and 05.43 PM. The epicenter of this earthquake was in Simeulue, with the distance of more and less of 390 km from observation station of catfish in Gapang. It was noted that this abnormal behavior possibly showed as an indication of their ability to detect the increase of pre-seismic activity at 2.38 hours and 43 minutes before the two earthquakes. Perhaps, it is the result of their response to the increase of pre-seismic electromagnetic wave. Further continuous observation and research is needed to ensure the role of African’s catfish (Clarias gariepinus) as abio-sensor for the increase of seismic activity.

Abstract

Study on photodegradation of diazinon pesticide in suspension of TiO2 under ultra violet (UV) illumination was conducted. The aims of study are to determine the effective mass of titanium dioxide (TiO2), the effect of catalyst in initial concentration, the half time, the rate constant, and the rate of degradation reaction. Experimental photocatalytic reactor model was designed and constructed as suspension reactor. Determination of the effective mass of TiO2, the concentration of diazinon residu was performed by HPLC . The concentrations of illuminated diazinon solution were colected as various effective mass of TiO2 and expressed as the concentration vs the mass of TiO2. The mass of TiO2 in minimum diazinon concentration was a the effective mass. The concentration of illuminated diazinon and illumination time relationships was expressed in the graph as ln C/C0 = - k t and regarded as a pseudo first-order. The half time, the rate constant, and the degradation rate was analyzed from the graph. The results show that the photocatalytic degradation of pesticide diazinon by using TiO2 under UV illumination was run effectively in the mass of 12.5 mg for the diazinon concentration of 25 mg/l. The decreasing of initial concentration of diazinon is 90.4 % in 120 minutes. The half time, the rate constant, and the degradation rate are 36,869 minute, 0.0188 /minute, and 0,470 mg/l minute, respectively. Keywords : Kinetic, degradation, diazinon, TiO2

Abstract

Permasalahan utama dan mendasar pada penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS di kelas IV SDN 1 Tinauka. Ada beberapa factor yang menyebabkan rendahnya pemahaman siswa tentang mata pelajaran IPS diantaranya siswa cenderung meniru apa saja yang disampaikan oleh guru tanpa ada pertanyaan walaupun materi tersebut belum dipahami dengan baik. Untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa peneliti menggunakan Metode Pembelajaran Group Investigation dalam mengajarkan mata pelajaran IPS. Rancangan penelitian tindakan kelas ini mengikuti model Spiral Kemmis dan Mc Taggar yang dilakukan dengan dua siklus dan setiap siklus melalui 4 tahap yaitu: 1). Perencanaan, 2). Pelaksanaan, 3). Observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian pada siklus 1 diperoleh ketuntasan belajar klasikal sebesar 45,45 %, aktivitas guru berada pada kategori cukup dengan rata-rata persentase 67,86 %, dan aktivitas siswa berada pada kategori Kurang yaitu dengan rata-rata persentase 56,25 %. Hasil belajar siswa pada siklus II diperoleh ketuntasan belajar klasikal meningkat menjadi 87,88 %, aktivitas guru berada pada kategori sangat baik yaitu 82,14%, dan aktivitas siswa berada pada kategori sangat baik yaitu 93,75%. Berdasarkan indicator kinerja keberhasilan penelitian ini maka dapat disimpulkan dengan menggunakan pembelajaran Metode Pembelajaran Group Investigation dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS khususnya materi sumber daya alam. Abstract

The objectives of this research are (1) to describe behavior of household economy; (2) to analyze factors affecting the behavior of household economy; and (3) to analyze income and outcome of households on basic equilibrium level and on actual equilibrium level. The results of the research showed that the community forest programs (HKm) given to the community living around the forests had opened job opportunities and income sources to the community living around Mount Rinjani Forest, and  community incomes were far above basic equilibrium level. Factors which consistently and positively affected the economic behavior of community households were the area of HKm land occupied, the diversity of household works, the access of their villages to the center of economic activities and the area of land they utilized other than HKm land. On the other hand, household incomes from government subsidies (such as BLT and Raskin) and other sources outside the thriving labor tended to make household labors became lazier and poorer, which significantly and negatively affected working time and incomes of households.

Abstract

Penelitian ini di latarbelakangi rendahnya hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS dengan menggunakan metode diskusi dikelas IV SDN 12 Biau Kabupaten Buol. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan di SDN 12 Biau dengan menggunakan metode diskusi. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian Kemmis da Mc. Taggart yang terdiri atas dua siklus, setiap siklus terdiri empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Sebelum melakukan penelitian, peneliti terlebih dahulu memberikan tes awal dengan hasil yang diperoleh yaitu ketuntasan belajar klasikal 13% dan daya serap klasikal 51,53%. Hasil observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa yang di peroleh pada tindakan siklus I yaitu siswa 59,09% dan guru 60,41%. Kemudian pada siklus II hasil observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa mengalami peningkatan, pada hasil observasi aktivitas guru mencapai 85,41% dan siswa mencapai 88,64%. Adapun hasil penelitian yang diperoleh pada tindakan siklus I yaitu ketuntasan belajar klasikal 50% dan daya serap klasikal 71,28%. Pada tindakan siklus II diperoleh ketuntasan belajar klasikal 89,74% dan daya serap klasikal 86,67%,. Hal ini berarti pembelajaran pada siklus II telah memenuhi indikator keberhasilan dengan ketuntasan belajar klasikal minimal 80% dan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa individu minimal 65%. Dengan demikian, maka dapat disimpulkan bahawa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode diskusi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pelajaran IPS di kelas IV SDN 12 Biau. Abstract

Permasalahan utama dan mendasar pada penelitian ini adalah (1) jenis evaluasi formatif apa yang selama ini digunakan oleh guru IPS di kelas V SDK TSM Posona (2) apakah evaluasi formatif dapat meningkatkan aktifitas belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS di kelas V SDK TSM Posona. Metode yang digunakan yaitu penelitian lapangan terdiri dari (1) Observasi yaitu mengamati aktivitas siswa pada saat pemberian evaluasi formatif dan mengamati aktivitas belajar siswa pada saat mengerjakan evaluasi formatif. (2) Wawancara, teknik yang digunakan adalah wawancara terbuka yakni wawancara yang dilakukan dengan informan menggunakan pedoman wawancara dan analisis dokumen. Data yang dikumpulkan diolah dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dan menganalisis data dengan (1) reduksi data yaitu memilih, menyeleksi dan menyederhanakan data yang diperoleh dari lapangan (2) penyajian data yaitu menyusun informasi yang diperoleh dari informan melalui wawancara (3) Penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi yaitu menyimpulakan data dan informasi yang tealh disusun. populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa IPS di kelas V SDK TSM Posona yang berjumlah 31 orang dan guru IPS yang mengajar di kelas V SDK TSM Posona yang berjumlah 1 orang. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 5 orang siswa untuk mewakili dari 1 kelas dan 1 orang guru IPS yang menjadi subjek dalam penelitian ini. Penarikan sampel menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling yaitu mengambil anggota sampel sebagai informan berdasarkan permasalahan dalam penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwan (1) jenis evaluasi formatif yang selama ini digunakan oleh guru IPS di kelas V SDK TSM Posona yaitu berupa pekerjaan rumah PR, esai tes dan pilihan ganda PG. (2) Evaluasi formatif dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa, hal ini dapat dilihat dari keaktifan siswa pada saat pembelajaran berlangsung, siswa selalu bertanya apabila materi yang diberikan oleh guru belum  jelas, siswa bersungguh-sungguh dalam mengerjakan evaluasi formatif yang diberikan oleh guru, hal ini dapat dilihat pada saat siswa mengerjakan soal formatif yang diberikan oleh guru dan dapat juga dilihat dari hasil belajar siswa yang meningkat.
