Abstract

Abstract: Students Understanding and Skills in Managing Household Waste and the Implementation of E-Media. This classroom action research aims at examining how the implementation of e-media can improve the understanding and the skills of students of various levels of education in Malang in managing household waste. Through the stages of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting, the study reveals that the implementation of e-media can improve the  understanding and skills of students of elementary schools, junior high schools, and senior high schools.   Abstrak: Pemahaman dan Keterampilan Siswa dalam Pengelolaan Sampah Rumah Tangga dan Penerapan E-Media. Penelitian ini telah dilakukan pada tahun 2010 di kota Malang. Tujuan penelitian tindakan ini adalah untuk mengetahui meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan siswa dalam pengelo­laan sampah rumah tangga. Tahap-tahap penelitian meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan E-Media VCD 6M telah meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam pengelolaan sampah rumah tangga oleh siswa SD/MI, SMP/MTs, dan SMA/MA di kota Malang.

Abstract

The research titled the Implementing of Contextual Teaching and  Learning to Improve of the Critical Thinking Skills of the Students in the Subject of Environmental Problematics have done in 2013. This study generally aims to improve students critical thinking skills in the subject environmental problematic. The critical thinking skills consist of skills to formulate the problem statement, analyze the argument, questioning and answering, evaluating of information source credibility, observation skill, and the skills of interact with the others. This research is classified as classroom action research carried out in two cycles. Every cycles consist of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The result showed that the CTL is able to increase the critical thinking skills of the students on the subject of environmental problematics. We recommended that CTL should be apply in the other subject with the same characteristic like environmental knowledge, advancer ecology, environmental pollution, etc. Keywords:CTL, critical thinking, environmental problematics

Abstract

This research was to determine the effect of differences ARIAS combined mind map learning and ARIAS learning to cognitive learning outcomes grade VII SMPN 1 Tempunak. This research with quasy research experiment design approach with the design of pretest-posttest. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferensial to test the hypothesis that analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) using SPSS 23 for windows with a significance level of 0,05. The study was conducted at the grade VII SMPN 1 Tempunak with material ecosystem. The research sample consisted of three classes, namely two experimental class, the class of ARIAS combined mind map leraning, ARIAS learning and first class control. The result showed that there are differences in the effect of ARIAS combined mind map learning to cognitive student with sig. 0,000.Tujuan dalam Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan pengaruh   pembelajaran ARIAS dipadu mind map dengan ARIAS terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Tempunak. Pendekatan penelitian quasi experiment design dengan rancangan pretest-posttest. Analisis data dengan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial untuk uji jipotesis yaitu analisis kovarian (Ancova) dengan menggunakan bantuan SPSS 23 for windows dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Penelitian dilakukan di kelas VII SMPN 1 Tempunak dengan materi Ekosistem. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas 3 kelas, 2 kelas eksperimen yaitu kelas yang diajar dengan pembelajaran ARIAS dipadu mind map dan kelas yang diajar dengan pembelajaran ARIAS serta 1 kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh penerapan pembelajaran ARIAS dipadu Mind map terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Tempunak. Dengan nilai sig. 0,00.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the program modules KRPL PBM aided the learning outcomes of cognitive learning environment and caring attitude seventh grade students of SMPN 18 Malang. Student learning outcomes as measured in the form of cognitive learning outcomes and environmental care attitude. This study was a quasi-experimental (quasy experiment) design with nonequivalent pretest posttest control group design. The study population is all students of class VII SMP Negeri 18 Malang academic year 2016/2017. This research sample class VII E, VII F and VII I selected cluster random sampling. Hypothesis test uses statistical analysis to Anacova. Based on the results of the analysis can know do that F count for cognitive learning outcomes generated amounted to 8.086 with 0.001 significance alpha smaller than 0.05 (<0.05), so it can be concluded that there are differences in cognitive learning achievement among students in grade control and experiment, F count for environmentally conscious attitude generated amounted to 17.273 with a significance of 0.000 of alpha 0.05 (<0.05), so it can be concluded that there are differences in the achievement of environmentally conscious attitude among students in grade control and experiment. So we can conclude, that the treatment of the learning effect on the cognitive learning environment and a caring attitude. Based on further with LSD test showed that the experimental class module KRPL program exhibited significantly different PBM assisted with PBL model class or with a conventional class of cognitive learning outcomes and environmental care attitude.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada pengaruh modul program KRPL berbantuan PBM terhadap hasil belajar belajar kognitif dan sikap peduli lingkungan siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 18 Malang. Hasil belajar siswa yang diukur berupa hasil belajar kognitif dan sikap peduli lingkungan. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam eksperimen semu (quasy experiment) dengan desain pretest posttest nonequivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian ini seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 18 Malang tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Sampel penelitian ini siswa kelas VII E, VII F, dan VII I yang dipilih secara cluster random sampling. Uji hipotesis menggunakan analisis statistik dengan anakova. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat diketahi bahwa F hitung  untuk hasil belajar kognitif yang dihasilkan adalah sebesar 8,086 dengan signifikansi 0,001 lebih kecil dari alpha 0,05 (<0,05), sehingga dapat disimpulkan ada perbedaan pencapaian hasil belajar kognitif antara siswa di kelas kontrol dan eksperimen. F hitung untuk sikap peduli lingkungan dihasilkan adalah sebesar 17,273 dengan signifikansi 0,000 lebih kecil dari alpha 0,05 (<0,05), sehingga dapat disimpulkan ada perbedaan pencapaian sikap peduli lingkungan  antara siswa di kelas kontrol dan eksperimen. Maka dapat disimpulkan, bahwa perlakuan terhadap pembelajaran berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar kognitif dan sikap peduli lingkungan. Berdasarkan uji lanjut dengan LSD menunjukkan bahwa kelas eksperimen dengan modul program KRPL berbantuan PBM berbeda signfikan dengan kelas model PBL ataupun dengan kelas konvensional dari hasil belajar kognitif dan sikap peduli lingkungan.

Abstract

INTEGRASI MUATAN LIFE SKILLS PADA MODUL MATERI LINGKUNGAN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJARAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran materi Ekosistem dan Pencemaran Lingkungan yang mengintegrasikan muatan life skills dengan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing untuk siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 3 Surakarta dalam bentuk modul. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang mengikuti model pengembangan Borg and Gall yang dilaksanakan dalam enam tahapan yaitu: penelitian dan pengumpulan informasi; perencanaan; pengembangan produk awal; uji coba terbatas dan revisi produk; uji coba utama; dan revisi produk. Hasil analisis skor penilaian perangkat pembelajaran baik oleh ahli desain pembelajaran, ahli materi, maupun praktisi menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran telah layak diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Hasil uji coba utama yang dilakukan pada dua kelas dari kelas X SMA Negeri 3 Surakarta menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan nilai gain rata-rata aktual maksimum dapat dikatakan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran bermuatan s dengan model inkuiri terbimbing telah cukup efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran. Hasil pretest dan posttest menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata capaian hasil belajar kognitif siswa.Kata kunci: perangkat pembelajaran, life skill, modul materi lingkunganAbstractThis study was aimed at generating an ecosystem and environmental pollution learning module that integrates life skills using guided inquiry learning for tenth-grade students of State Senior High 3 Surakarta. The study used the Research and Development (R&D) method proposed by Borg and Gall which was carried out in six stages, namely: research and information gathering, planning, initial product development, limited trials and product revision, main trial, and product revision. The scoresfrom the learning design experts, materials experts, and practitioners indicate that the learning tools are feasible to be implemented in classroom learning. The results show that, based on the scores of the actual maximum average gained, the integrated life skills in the environmental material module using guided inquiry model are feasible to be applied. The pretest and posttest results show the improvement of the average achievement of cognitive learning outcomes of the students. Abstract

Abstract: This research was aimed to describe (1) the learning process in the subject of High Plant Taxonomy; (2) science process skills and metacognitive skills of students; (3) the needs of lecturers and students in learning. This type of research is descriptive quantitative-qualitative. Research samples were subject lecturers and 35 students of biological education. Data collection techniques used are tests and surveys. Data collection instruments are test sheets and requirement analysis questionnaire sheets. The results showed that (1) students had difficulty understanding the taxonomic material of plants; (2) student science process skills in Plant Taxonomy courses, namely observing (sometimes), measuring sometimes), managing data (sometimes), deviating (often), planning experiments (sometimes) and conducting experiments (sometimes -sometimes); (3) metacognitive planning skills (76, sufficient), monitoring (76, sufficient), evaluating (69, enough), revising (82, good); 4) Lecturers and students need teaching materials in the form of modules from the results of local potential to achieve the expected competencies.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) proses pembelajaran pada matakuliah Taksonomi Tumbuhan Tinggi; (2) keterampilan proses sains dan ketarampilan metakognitif mahasiswa; (3) kebutuhan dosen dan mahasiswa pada pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif-kualitatif. Sampel penelitian yaitu dosen pengampu matakuliah dan 25 mahasiswa pendidikan Biologi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes dan survei. Instrumen pengumpulan data yaitu lembar test dan lembar angket analisis kebutuhan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) mahasiswa mengalami kesulitan memahami materi taksonomi tumbuhan; (2) keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa pada matakuliah Taksonomi Tumbuhan yaitu mengamati (kadang-kadang), mengukur kadang-kadang), mengelola data (kadang-kadang), menyimpukan (sering), merencanakan percobaan (kadang-kadang) dan melaksanakan percobaan (kadang-kadang); (3) keterampilan metakognitif planing (76, cukup), monitoring (76, cukup), evaluating (69, cukup), revising (82, baik); (4) dosen dan mahasiswa membutuhkan bahan ajar berupa modul dari hasil potensi lokal untuk tercapainya kompetensi yang diharapkan.

Abstract

Efforts to build pro-environment behavior have been strengthened by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry through Adiwiyata green school program. This current study aimed at describing the patterns of building pro-environmental behavior among school community of Adiwiyata green school in Malang City. This study was conducted by means of descriptive design. The data were collected using in-depth interview, directed observation, and documentation as well as triangulation. The data were analyzed descriptively by means of content analysis. Hereafter, this study has shown that SMAN 7 Malang was and is running a program of pro-environmental behavior building offered to all school community, to enhance the knowledge, to fossilize the behavior, and to implement pro-environmental behavior, with the concrete support from the school management and teachers. The program was run sustainably and supported by education authorities along with pro-environmental communities. To sum up, the patterns of building pro-environmental behavior involved all the school community, to cover such aspects as knowledge enhancement, behavior fossilizing, and pro-environmental behavior reinforcement through a sustainable collaboration with pro-environmental communities. Therefore, it is suggested that Adiwiyata green school keep intensifying its commitment and be consistent in building sustainable pro-environmental behavior to amplify a long-term memory of its school community.

Abstract

Motivation in learning will influence the student to be a success. Four aspects that became part of the motivation is the fundamental aspects of attention, relevance, confidence, and satisfaction. The purpose of this research is to know the extent to which students ' motivation of elementary school teacher education on the basic concept of subject science. The method used is descriptive quantitative survey method; in this case, use the question form of student motivation. This research was carried out in April 2016. The subject of research is the 234 students distributed in University of Nahdlatul Ulama Surabaya and the State University of Surabaya. The results showed that students ' learning motivation of elementary school teacher education in aspects of attention, relevance, and satisfaction are on the category quite nicely, while confidence is at a type less well this defines the that required increased efforts of student learning motivation on the subject the basic concept of science.

Abstract

Scientific skills literacy is one of the skills that students need to have to support the learning process. This study aims to explain the literacy skills of the students through project experience with the help of local potential-based teaching materials. This research is a quantitative study and it used quasi-experimental design, pre-and posttest design. ANCOVA analysis was used as the data analysis technique at a significant level of 5% (p < 0.5). Analysis prerequisite tests included the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test for normality test and homogeneity of variance with Levene's-Test. All data testing was done using the SPSS version 23.0 for Windows. The results of the study show that the experience of project activities has a significant effect on the scientific literacy skills in three competencies. These competencies are to explain scientific phenomena, evaluate and design scientific investigations and interpret scientific evidence and data. Competence in evaluating and designing scientific investigations has the greatest significance compared to the other two competencies.
