Abstract

The research was conducted at Dolo District, Donggala Regency from April to June 2007. The aim of the research was to identify the effect of feeding time on income, expenditure and income over feed cost of local cattle. The experimental design used was a Randomized Block Design in which the treatment included were feeding time between 7 am to 5 pm, between 7 am to 9 pm, 7 am to 11 pm, between 7 am to 1 am, and between 7 am to 3 am. The results showed that the effect of feeding time was significant on income of local cattle feed cost, and expenditure, but not significant on income over feed cost of local cattle.

Abstract

This research was conducted in the planting area of pineapple (Ananas comosus) PT. GGP Terbanggi Besar Central Lampung indicated attacked by pests simphylid in March 2014 until May 2014. Analysis of soil physical properties carried out in the Laboratory of Soil Science, Department of Agrotechnology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung. The method used in this study is a survey method. Soil sampling conducted at three locations indicated simphylid pests. Soil sampling done at some point and some depth. Results from this research that pest symphilid most numerous in one location with a number of acquisition 172 tail where the location of the physical properties of good land which the density value of the content is low, the total pore low, macropores and high hardness low ground , allowing sinphylid be able to live and thrive. While at the location of two and three with the condition density value of the content is high, the total pore high, macropores low, and violence high soil pests simphylid not so much discovered as simphylid can not multiply and survive on the physical condition of poor soil Keywords: Pineapple, Symphilid, and physical properties of soil

Abstract

  Permasalahan  yang  dikaji  dalam  penelitian  ini  adalah  apakah  dengan model pembelajaran coopertif tipe STAD melalui pendekatan contextual dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII a SMPN 1 Pasangkayu?.Siswa yang menjadi subyek   penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII a yang berjumlah 29 orang siswa.Tujuan penelitian meningkatkan hasil  belajar   siswa di kelas VIII a  SMP Negeri 1 Pasangkayu dengan mengunakan penerapan   kooperatif learning tipe STAD melalui pendekatan contextual pada pembelajaran PKn.Jenis penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam II siklus dengan prosedur (1)orentasi; (2) perencanaan;(3) pelaksanaan tindakan; (4) observasi;(5) refleksi. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti bertindak sebagai observer dan guru mata pelajaran sebagai pelaksana tindakan.Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara,catatan lapangan, dan hasil tindakan (evaluasi). Validasi data terdiri dari empat tahapan (1) triangulasi; (2) member chek; (3) audit trail; (4) ekspert opinion.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pada siklus I aktivitas siswa pada pertemuan pertama dalam kategori cukup dengan nilai rata-rata 63%,pertemuan kedua nilai rata-rata 73% dalam kategori baik,sementara observasi aktivitas guru pertemuan pertama dengan   nilai rata-rata73%   ,pertemuan kedua nilai rata-rata 80% dalam kategori baik. Daya serap klasikal pertemuan pertama 34,48% pertemuan kedua 58,62%. Daya serap individu pertemuan pertama 67,82% pertemuan kedua 74,48%. Siklus II observasi aktivitas siswa dengan nilai rata-rata 92%,observasi aktivitas guru dengan nilai rata-rata 94%. dan daya serap klasikal 86,20%. Daya serap individu 81.65%. berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan coopertif learning tipe STAD dengan pendekatan contextual meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di kelas VIII a SMPN 1 Pasangkayu. Abstract

Broiler is one of animal food sources which is widely used as an alternative meat that much preferred by various community because it has a variety of benefits when compared to other sources of animal food.  Parigi District has several supermarkets and traditional markets that provide broiler meat for restaurant needs. This research aimed to determine the influencing factors of demand as well as broiler meat demand by restaurant consumers and restaurant itself in the District of Parigi. The research was conducted in September-November 2013. Sampling is applied with multilevel cluster sampling (incidental multistage sampling). The samples taken at 30 restaurants and 132 restaurant consumers and designed using the survey method. Analysis of data using descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study showed that the average demand for broiler meat in the restaurant achieved 83.167 g or 83,2 kg/month and by restaurant consumers was 5,613 g/month or a total of 5,6 kg/month. Revenue of restaurant owners and the number of food consumers had positive effect on the broiler meat demand of restaurants in the District of Parigi Moutong. The price of meat food menu and others had negative influence on broiler meat demand by restaurant consumers, whereas the consumer income and the consumer spending per month had positive affected for broiler meat demand by restaurant consumers in the District of Parigi  Moutong.Keywords: broiler meat, demand, restaurant

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of remediation misconception using concept attainment model. The method of this research is pre-experimental using one group pretest and posttest design. The sample is 1st semester pre-service teacher student at Biology Education Department, Tanjungpura University consist of 30 students. The instrument used is multiple choice diagnostic test. Statistic test used is paired sample t-test. The result shows remediation using concept attainment model gives significant effect with ES value 1.44.

Abstract

Rice is the most important food crop in Indonesia, as more than half of populations inIndonesia depends their life on rice produced from rice plants. This research aims to determine the intensity of white rice stem boreron thetwo different places, namely the plateau in the Sejahtra village, Palolo Subdistrict at an altitude of 592 meters above the sea (masl), and the lowland area in Lolu village, Sigi Biromaru Subdistrict, Sigi Regency at an altitude of 171 (masl). Whereas its usefulness is to compare the level of attacks that occur in the field by white rice stem borer. This research was conducted in the rice cultivation area at two different places altitudes and the implementation time from April to July 2016. The research was conducted with the survey method, observation and execution of research. The variable of observation namely, 1) The intensity of S.innotata pests. 2) The number of pest eggs S.innotata group and 3)The types and the numbers of parasitoids. Therw is the difference in the intensity of S.innotata attacks in two areas in different heights. Attacks on Oloboju are higher (35%) while attacks on Sejahtera are lower (10%) and there are three species of parasitoid in the S.innotata'segg, they are parasitoid of Telenomus, sp., Tetrastichus, sp.,and Trichogramma, sp.Telenomus, sp. More dominant to of fendin Oloboju while, sp. More dominant to of fendin Sejahtera.

Abstract

ABSTRAKRendahnya hasil belajarnya siswa kelas V, guru cenderung menyampaikan materi, sementara siswa mendengarkan materi yang disampaikan. Hal ini disebabkan siswa belum bisa melihat makna atau fungsi dari materi yang sedang dipelajarinya. Upaya yang bisa dilakukan adalah pembelajaran menyenangkan, kreatif dan inovatif, guna meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS siswa sekaligus bisa membantu siswa melihat manfaat materi yang dipelajari dengan menghubungkannya dunia nyata serta menerapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari yang sesuai dengan pengalaman belajarnya, salah satunya adalah model kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT). Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS siswa, serta mengetahui kemampuan pengelolaan guru dalam pembelajaran pada siswa kelas V SDN 1 Binangga. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dan berakhir pada siklus II karena dinyatakan telah berhasil, dimana tiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian siswa kelas V SDN 1 Binangga berjumlah 38 siswa, terdiri dari 12 laki-laki dan 26 perempuan. Hasil ketuntasan klasikal yang dicapai pada tes hasil belajar siklus I sebesar 76,3% atau terdapat 29 siswa yang tuntas dari 38 jumlah siswa. Persentase ketuntasan klasikal siklus I ini menunjukkan belum mencapai indikator keberhasilan belajar yaitu 80%. Sehingga dilanjutkan penelitian  pada tahap selanjutnya (siklus II). Hasil yang diperoleh pada siklus II lebih baik dari pada hasil siklus I, dimana ketuntasan belajar klasikal mencapai 94,7% atau terdapat 36 siswa yang tuntas dari 38 siswa. Hal tersebut berarti bahwa tingkat  kemampuan siswa dalam pembelajaran rata-rata dalam kategori sangat baik, meskipun masih terdapat 2 siswa yang belum tuntas secara individu.  Berdasarkan analisis hasil belajar siswa setelah menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT) mengalami peningkatan dengan ketuntasan klasikal mencapai 94,7% dan rata-rata  hasil  belajar adalah  7,6. Kata Kunci:  Model kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT), Hasil Belajar, Pembelajaran IPS

Abstract

In the context of online learning environments, the argumentation skill becomes an important priority for sustained engagement of students in productive negotiation of ideas and evidence based reasoning (Siakidou, Papadouris, & Constantinou, 2014). The aim of this study is to reveal the quality of argumentation skills stimulation used a variety of questions in Facebook group discussion for Biology student teachers. The method of this work was using quasi experiment with time series design. This study involved 24 Biology student teachers who contacted in online and expressed willingness to take part in Facebook group discussions. Results indicate that divergence questions types have a greater influence on the argumentation skills quantity rather than focal and brainstorming questions types, while the focal question types have a greater influence on the quantity of argumentation skills rather than brainstorming questions types. In addition, this study shows that brainstorming questions types (FA) have a better effect to coding scheme for individual arguments rather than focal questions types (NFA) and the divergent questions types (NJA) to stimulating the quality of argumentation skills of Biology student teachers. Further research to uncover the effect of topic discussion on the arguments quality is expected to enrich the findings in this study. Keyword: Argumentation skills stimulation, variety of questions, Facebook group discussion

Abstract

Low and fluctuating income of coconut farming systems per land unit area cannot support their farmers to live up to the standard of living.  Effort to improve their income could be achieved through increasing the value added of coconut and kopra products sold by the farmers.  This study aims to determine the feasibility of coconut farming systemin Kasoloang village Bambaira subdistrict of North Mamuju regency. This research was conducted in June to July 2015. Respondents of 34 coconut farmers were randomly sampled and data collected was analyzed using feasibility and income analysis.  The income of the coconut farmers was IDR 6,586,731/ha. The revenue of cost ratio was 2 indicating that the farming system is feasible to be developed. Keywords: Coconut, Feasibility, Income and Kasoloang village.
