Abstract

This research is aimed to analyze: (1) lesson plan design (RPP) of Group Investigation Model, (2) implementing of Group Investigation Model; (3) evaluation system of Group Investigation Model of learning; (4) increasing student achievement using Group Investigation Model. The method of the research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) through three cycles. The result of the research could be concluded as (1) lesson plan design (RPP) using Group Investigation Model including making group, delivering, accessing, completing materials, discussion and presentation, reorganizing, classroom discussion and presentation and evaluating, (2) implementation of Group Investigation Model can develop student activities. The student activities of XI Science 1 in the first cycle is 77.16%, in the second cycle is 82.83% and in the third cycle is 90.19%, Class XI Science-2 in the first cycle is 77.16%, in the second is 82.00%, and in the third is 88.34%, (3) the student achievement is increasing. In XI Science-1, the students got minimum mastery criteria (KKM) in the first cycle were 14 (46.67%), in second were 19 (63.33%) and in the third were 23 (76.67%).Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis: (1) desain RPP, (2) pelaksanaan pembelajaran, (3) sistem evaluasi, (4) peningkatan prestasi belajar Biologi menggunakan Model Investigasi Kelompok. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan tiga siklus.  Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan: (1) desain RPP dengan Model Investigasi Kelompok meliputi pembagian kelompok, materi, mengakses, melengkapi materi, diskusi dan presentasi, pengemasan ulang, evaluasi, (2) pelaksanaan pembelajaran Model Investigasi Kelompok dapat meningkatkan aktivitas anggota kelompok,  (3) system evaluasi postes dan formatif (4) prestasi belajar siswa meningkat. Pada kelas XI IPA1, jumlah siswa yang mencapai nilai KKM siklus 1 14 (46,67%), siklus II 19 (63,33%) siklus III 23 (76,67).Kata kunci: aktivitas, investigasi kelompok, prestasi belajar.

PENGGUNAAN LEMBAR KERJA SISWA BERBASIS KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS

Abstract

This research was aimed to know the effect of  student work sheet (SWS) based science process skill (SPS) towards student SPS. This research design was pretest-post test non-equivalent group. Samples were VIIC and VIIF that was chosen by purposive sampling. Quantitative data was obtained from the average value of test and analyzed by using t-test and U-test. Qualitative data was description of  student SPS, learning activities data and questionnaire responses were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the students SPS was still low, it was proofed by pretest average 13.07; post test average 25.75; and N-gain average 0.15. N-gain average on observation skils 0.17; interpretation skill 0.08; and communication skill 0.33. Whereas students average of learning activities was 60.25% with middle criteria. Beside that, the most of students (92.5%) gave postive responsed towards SWS based SPS. Thus, learning used SWS based SPS was influenced not significantly to improve students SPS. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lembar kerja siswa (LKS) berbasis  keterampilan proses sains (KPS) terhadap KPS siswa. Desain penelitian adalah  pretes-postes kelompok tak ekuivalen. Sampel yaitu kelas VIIC dan VIIF yang dipilih secara  purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan U. Data kualitatif berupa deskripsi KPS, data aktivitas belajar, dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa KPS siswa masih rendah yang dibuktikan dengan rata-rata pretes 13,07; rata-rata postes 25,75; dan rata-rata N-gain sebesar 0,15. Rata-rata N-gain pada keterampilan observasi 0,17; keterampilan interpretasi 0,08; dan keterampilan komunikasi sebesar 0,33. Sedangkan rata-rata aktivitas belajar siswa sebesar 60,25%  yang berkriteria sedang. Selain itu, sebagian besar siswa (92,5%) memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap LKS berbasis KPS. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran menggunakan LKS berbasis KPS berpengaruh tidak signifikan dalam meningkatkan KPS siswa. Kata kunci :  aktivitas belajar, KPS, LKS berbasis KPS

Abstract

Critical thinking skills should be owned by everyone. Observations indicate that the students’ thinking skills of class IX SMP N 8 Bandar Lampung had been developed. Therefore, it is necessary to act as a solution to improve the students’ thinking skills. One way to use multimedia animation through cooperative learning model STAD type. This research aimed to find out the effect of the use of multimedia animation with cooperative learning model STAD type to the students thinking skills on the subject matter of the Human Reproductive System.The research design was pretest-posttest design are not equivalent. The research sample is class IX A and IX B are selected from the population at random cluster sampling. Quantitative data obtained from the average value of the pretest, posttest, and N-gain satistik analyzed. Qualitative data in the form of student activity data taken using the rubric student activity data and student responses to learning using multimedia animation with type STAD cooperative learning model that analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the use of multimedia animation with cooperative learning model STAD type significantly affect toward students thinking skills. In addition, an increase of students critical thinking in the experimental class with an average N-gain 63.95%  is medium criteria, on average N-gain of all the indicators of students in the experimental class students thinking skills also increased the amount of 65.88% with criteria being. The average percentage of student learning activities in all aspects of that observed in the experimental class has medium criteria 71.75%. In addition, most students responded positively to the use of multimedia animation through cooperative learning model STAD type.  Keywords: Multimedia Animation, STAD, critical thinking skills, The Human Reproductive System

Abstract

Critical thinking skills and mastery of subject matter is required by students in the learning procces. The research has purpose to determine the effect of application audio-visual media through TPS model to the critical thinking ability and material mastery on environmental management subject matter. This is a experimental study research by pretest postest non equivalent group design. The samples of this research are VII E and VII F classroom chosen by purposive sampling method. Quantitative data obtained from the pretest and the posttest which analyzed statistically using t-test by spss 17. Qualitative data obtained from questionnaire regarding student response on audio-visual media through TPS model which analyzed descriptively. The results showed an increase in the critical thinking skills and material mastery of the experimental class on all indicators (critical thinking skills N-gain 61.12%, mastery of subject matter N- gain 62.25%). Moreover, 70% students give positive response on audio-visual media through TPS learning model. Therefore, the using of audio-visual media through TPS has influence significantly to increasing the critical thinking skill and material mastery of the student. Keywords: audio-visual media, cooperative learning model of TPS,   critical thinking skill, material mastery.

THE EFFECT OF USE FLASH CARD WITH COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODELS TYPE NHT TOWARDS LEARNING ACTIVITY AND MATTER SUBJECT MASTERY OF VIRUS

Abstract

Observation results show that mastery of the Virus subject matter on grade X Swadhipa’s student Senior High School in Natar is still low. This research aims to know the influence of the using picture cards media on students learning activities and mastering of the Virus subject matter for students. This research was quasi experimental design with unequivalent pretes postes group. The research samples are grade X1 and X2 which are selected from population by cluster random sampling. This research data is in quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data is obtained from the average of pretes and postes value which is analyzed statistically with t-test at 95% confidence levels using SPSS 17 program. Qualitative data is analyzed by descriptive analysis in percentage value. The research data is obtained from the student activity observation forms, and students responses on using of flash cards media with NHT model. The research result shows that the average of mastering on subject by group students experiment is greater than control group (experiment = 79,1; control = 70,20). Moreover, the average of increasing the mastery of all observation indicators are greater than class control (experiment = 48,28; control = 43,22). The average of increasing percentage of student activity to all obeservation aspects in class experiment are greater than class control (experiment = 85,18; control = 76,30). In addition, the majority of students give positive response on using of flash cards media. Thus, learning process use flash card media with NHT learning model effects to improve the learning activity and mastery of the Virus subject matter on students.  Keywords: Flash Card, NHT, Learning Activity, Mastering Subject, Virus

PENGARUH PENDEKATAN KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS TERHADAP BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA PADA MATERI EKOSISTEM

Abstract

This research aimed to know the influenced of science process skills approached on students critical thinking in ecosystem subject matter. The design was pretest-posttes non equivalent group by purposive sampling so those class VIIC and VIID were choosen as subject. Quantitative data was obtained from the average value of pretest and post test with the pretest average of 56,06; posttest average of 83,65; and an average N-gain of  61,59. The average increase in all KBK aspects that were observed had moderate criteria (30,04). The qualitative data were obtained from observation and questionnaire. Observation result of KPS had high criteria (81,56) and from students qustionnaire data showed nearly all students have a scientific attitude. Thus, it can be concluded that science process skill approached influenced on students critical thinking in ecosystem subject matter. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan keterampilan proses sains terhadap berpikir kritis siswa pada materi pokok ekosistem. Desain yang digunakan adalah pretes-posttes kelompok non ekuivalen dengan purposive sampling sehingga kelas VII C dan VII D diambil sebagai subjek. Data kuantitatif diperolehdari rata-rata nilai pretes dan postes dengan rata-rata pretes yaitu 56,06; rata-rata postes 83,65; dan rata-rata N-gain 61,59. Adapun Rata-rata peningkatan KBK dalam semua aspek yang diamati berkriteria sedang (30,04). Data kualitatif diperoleh melalui lembar observasi dan angket. Hasil observasi KPS memiliki kriteria tinggi (81,56), dan dari data angket tanggapan siswa menunjukkan hampir semua siswa memberikan tanggapan positif. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan keterampilan proses sains berpengaruh terhadap berpikir kritis siswa pada materi pokok ekosistem. Kata kunci :  berpikir kritis, ekosistem, pendekatan KPS

Abstract

This experiment aimed to find out the use of the media image toword students activity and students learning result. The research designs was non equivalent pretest – posttest. The research sample were students in X1 and X2 class that was selected by purposive sampling technique. Data of the research were qualitative and quantitative. The qualitative data was gotten by students learning activity and questionnaire that was analyzed descriptively. The quantitative data were the average score of test, that was analyzed by t-test and U-test. The result showed that the students learning activity improve, expression (64.96), asking question (65.05), they were teamwork (77.42), exchanging information (82.26) and observation result presentation/group (75.46). The students learning outcomes also develop, with N-gain average score was 58.00. It was mean, that the use of the media images impact the increased students activity and students learning result. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan media gambar terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Desain penelitian adalah pretes-postes tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X1 dan X2  yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data kualitatif diperoleh dari aktivitas belajar siswa dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aktivitas belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan yaitu mengemukakan pendapat/ide (64,96), bertanya (65,05), bekerjasama dengan teman (77,42), bertukar informasi (82,26), dan mempresentasikan hasil diskusi (75,46). Hasil belajar siswa juga mengalami peningkatan, dengan rata-rata nilai N-gain 58,00. Dengan demikian, penggunaan media gambar berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi keanekaragaman hayati.  Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, hasil belajar, media gambar

PENGARUH BROSUR MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN STAD TERHADAP AKTIVITAS DAN PENGUASAAN MATERI

Abstract

The research objective were to determine the effect of teaching materials brochures through cooperative learning model student teams achievemen division (STAD) on the activity and mastery of the material. Research design using a pretest-posttest non equivalent. The sample was grade class X2 and X3 are taken by random cluster sampling technique. The research data in the form of quantitative data and qualitative data. The results showed that the use of teaching materials brochures through STAD cooperative learning model increases student mastery of the material, is seen in the experimental class average N-value gain of 58.88. Aspects of the control of matter has the highest average value, namely the application aspects (C3) is 0.88. The average percentage of students learning activities ie 80.77% have a high criteria. Most of the students gave a positive response to the use of teaching materials brochures.Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh bahan ajar brosur melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe student teams achievemen division (STAD) terhadap aktivitas dan penguasaan materi. Desain penelitian menggunakanpretest-posttest non equivalen. Sampel penelitian ini adalah  kelas X2 dan  kelas X3 yang diambil dengan teknik clusterrandom sampling. Data penelitianberupa data kuantitatif dan data kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan bahan ajar brosur melalui model pembelajaran koperatif tipe STAD meningkatkan penguasaan materi siswa, ini terlihat pada kelas eksperimen rata-rata nilai N-gain sebesar 58,88. Aspek penguasaan materi memiliki nilai rata-rata tertinggi yaitu pada aspek aplikasi  (C3) yaitu 0,88. Rata-rata persentase aktivitas belajar siswa yaitu 80,77 % memiliki criteria tinggi.Sebagian besar siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan bahan ajar brosur.Kata kunci : aktivitas siswa, brosur, fungi, STAD, penguasaan materi.

PENGGUNAAN TEKNIK PEMETAAN KONSEP TERHADAP AKTIVITAS BELAJAR DAN PENGUASAAN KONSEP ORGANISASI KEHIDUPAN

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of concept mapping to student’s learning activities and conceptual understanding of living organization. The study design was a pretest-posttest equivalent group. Samples were VIIE and VIIF grades selected by cluster random sampling. The quantitative data were obtained from the average of pretest, posttest and N-gain that were analyzed using T test and U test. The qualitative data were description of learning activities. The result showed that the students activities were increase. Students conceptual understanding also increased with the average value of N-gain (72,44). So it can be concluded that the using of concept mapping gave significant effect to increase students learning activity and conceptual understanding. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan teknik pencatatan pemetaan konsep terhadap aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan konsep pada materi pokok organisasi kehidupan oleh siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretes postes ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIE dan VIIF yang dipilih dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes, postes dan N-gain yang dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji T dan uji U. Data kualitatif berupa deskripsi aktivitas belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas belajar mengalami peningkatan. Penguasaan konsep siswa juga mengalami peningkatan dengan rata-rata N-gain (72,44). Dengan demikian, pembelajaran menggunakan teknik pencatatan pemetaan konsep berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan konsep oleh siswa. Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, organisasi kehidupan, penguasaan konsep, teknik pencatatan pemetaan konsep

PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TGT TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA

Abstract

The purpose of the research was determine the influence of TGT learning model application towards students’ achievement. The quantitative data is taken from the mean of pretest and posttest it was analyzed using T-test at 95% confidance level. The Qualitative data was students’ learning activity taken by observation sheet during learning process. This research shown that it was increasing the score of pre-test and post-test student achievment by the cooperatif learning TGT 37.54  to 88.26 with N-gain of 82.37.  The students’ learning activity the mean score of learning activity increases 78.40%. The highest aspect was asking question, it was 81.30%.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran TGT terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Data penelitian berupa data kuantitatif yaitu hasil belajar siswa yang diperoleh dari  rata-rata nilai pretes dan postes yang dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji-t pada taraf kepercayaan 95%. Data kualitatif  yaitu aktivitas belajar siswa yang diperoleh dari lembar observasi selama proses pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada kelas yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT dengan rata-rata pretes yaitu 37,54 meningkat menjadi rata-rata postes yaitu 88,26 dengan N-gain sebesar 82,37.  Aktivitas belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan dengan nilai rata-rata aktivitas belajar sebesar 78,40 %. Aspek aktivitas yang mengalami peningkatan tertinggi adalah aspek mengajukan pertanyaan yaitu sebesar 81,30 %.Kata kunci :  aktivitas siswa, hasil belajar, model pembelajaran tipe TGT, sistem pencernaan
