Abstract

ABSTRACT The main factors which can determine preserves success fishes out is  store feeding in quantity, quality and the right time. Artificial feeding is one of production cost which largish effort preserve fishes out. One of effort to decrease feeding cost is by using artificial feeding it self. The alternative cheap feeding but it has nutrient content that suitable with fish’s needs. One of fish meals by using waste food that can use as a feeding is tofu waste. Tofu waste is waste of tofu makings that can use as raw material of feeding fish. Raw material of feeding fish is easy to find it. We can find it in tofu company with the price cheap relative. To increase fish meals material quality from tofu waste this was done fermentations by use EM4  (Effective Microorganisme 4). The purpose of the research is to know the effect of feeding tofu waste was done fermentations by using EM4 to growth Cyprinus carpio L. The experimental design that is Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatment and 6 repetitions. By treatment: A (control), B (by giving tofu waste was done fermentation 10%), C (by giving tofu waste was done fermentation 16%), and D (by giving tofu waste was done fermentation 24%). Based on the research result we can conclude that tofu waste was done fermentation can increase growth Cyprinus carpio L. By giving tofu waste was done fermentation 16% with commercial feeding can get same growth if we compare with tofu waste was done fermentations 10% and 24%.

Abstract

Maninjau Lake is one lake in West Sumatra and ample potential. Maninjau currently used for various activities, such as fisheries, tourism, Hydroelectric Power Plant (HEPP), Shower Wash latrine (toilet) and disposal of household waste. The last few years the population activity in the body and on the edge of the lake has increased as fish farming system with floating nets. Activities around the lake residents and lake bodies, suspected to cause impaired. Her balance of the lake ecosystem which affect lake biota. such as art shows moltkiana Corbicula. The presence of Corbicula pensi moltkiana in Maninjau can be used as an additional income for the communities around the lake. But according to the day pensi harvester Corbicula moltkiana hard to come by. In connection with that the authors have conducted a study with the aim of knowing the natural food of pensi. The study was conducted in May 2012 with a descriptive survey method by setting the four stations based activities alongside a lake and the lake body Muko-Muko as a tourism spot (Station I), Forage Fish farming cages Rabaa (Station II), Bayur Agricultural area (Station III ), and community activities Maninjau quite high (station IV). In this research pensi pensi used is larger than 15mm. On each - each station established 3 sampling points. Pensi samples taken 6 tails of each station. At each sampling point taken 2 pensi tail. Laboratory sample identification STKIP PGRI West Sumatra. Parameters measured were relative density and relative frequency as well as water quality parameters measured were temperature and pH. Abstract

ABSTRAK Ferns are heterogens in terms of his place, there are the kinds of spikes that live on land (terrestrial), there is a ride of his life on other plants (epiphytes), and there are spikes that grow in water (higrofit). Bukit Barisan is a limestone hill forests has the conditions and rock properties that are different from other forest types. The study was conducted by survey method by direct observation and collection. From the research that has been conducted in the Bukit Barisan Forest Jorong Halalang Nagari Kamang Mudiak District Kamang Magek terrestrial obtained 12 types of nails. Nails were found grouped into two namely clasis Filicopsida and Lycopsida, two orders of the Filicalles and Sellaginellales, nine family is Adiantaceae, Dennstaedtiaceae, Gleicheniaceae, Nephrolepidaceae, Pteridaceae, Schizaeceae, Tectariaceae, Thelypteridaceae, Selaginellaceae..

Abstract

ABSTRACTLake Maninjau has a location in Kecamatan Tanjung Raya, Kabupaten Agam, West Sumatera. Lake Maninjau has a function as a society jobs like make a fish pond. There are fish pond got the influent toward the composition of organisme in the lake, one of them is zooplankton. The purpose of this research was to know the composition and structure of zooplankton community with physica chemical water factor in different under in arround the fish pond of lake Maninjau. This research was done in March until May 2013. The location of the research was done by using stratified random sampling method with determined one research station. In the station determined three took sample method were in surface with the deep 4m and deep 8m. The samples by using water pomp machine and planktonet. They identified at took Laboratorium of STKIP PGRI west Sumatera. Temperature, pH and DO measured in the field and Nitrogen totaily done in water environmen laboratorium UNAND Padang. The result of research are got 4 classes zooplankton, phytomastigophorea with one genous (Peridinium), Monogononta 7 genous (Branchionus, Colurella, Filinia, Keratella, Lepadella, Lycane, and Tricocerca), Digononta was 1 genous (Macrotrachela) and Crustacea got 4 genous (Cylops, Macrothrix, Pleuroxus and Nauplius). The highest diversity indexs got level III in deep 8m, 2,43 and the lowert got level I, 1.95 while in level II was 2,29. Measure of water quality in lake Maninjau Kabupaten Agam was temperature 2,9-30ºC, pH 8,9-9, Desolved Oxygen (DO) 6,8-8,8 mg/l and the total of nitrogen 1,75-3,25 mg/l.

Abstract

ABSTRACT  At the present time are rarely people who breed fish one Catfish. Because except of limited land prices also feed expensive. Then to overcome this expensive feed prices is need for alternative feed.  Alternative  this  can  be  done by creating  artificial  feed.  Feed  can  be derived  from  the fermented tofu waste with EM4. Based on this research has been conducted aimed to determine the effect of feeding fermented tofu waste with EM4 on the growth of Catfish (Pangasius sutchi). This experiment was set in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments and six replicates. Treatment were diets with: A. Control (By giving feed FF999), B. By giving tofu waste was done fermentation 10%, C. By giving tofu waste was done fermentation 16%, and D. By giving tofu waste was done fermentation 24%. Results of experiment indicated that of fermented tofu waste levels in the feed showed a 10% in crease in total body weight and lenght catfish tend to use better than other treatments. But for feed conversion showed similar results in each treatments.

Abstract

ABSTRACTSoil insects are insects that live in the soil. Has done research about Soil Insects In rubber garden di Nagari Padang XI Punggasan Kecamatan Linggo Sari Baganti Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan which aims to determine the composition of Soil Insects In rubber garden di Nagari Padang XI Punggasan Kecamatan Linggo Sari Baganti Kabupaten Pesisir.This study from July 2013 to Agustus 2013 using the descriptive survey method. Sampling was done at two places namely rubber garden ±6 years old and the rubber garden ±10 years old. From the results of the study found the presence of an soil insects on the second place there are 2  orders consisting of 4 families, 4 genera and 5 species. Soil insects on the rubber garden ±10 years old found that the highest relative density is species Homodia cingula of 40,5% and a low relative density is species Holojayx diversiugis of 9,5%. The highest relative frequency is species Homodia cingula of 37,5% and the lowest relative frequency is speises Holojayx diversiugis of 10,3%. Highest density at age 10 is ± rubber plant species Holojayx diversiugis at 24,2% and the relative density of the lace is 15,8 species Isotoma viridis. The highest relative frequency is species Sminthurus incisus by 25,3% and the lowest relative frequency is speises Homodia sp. of 14,8%.

Abstract

Epilitik algae is part of perifitik microalgae which live by sticking on any subtracts such as; rock, coral, and other solid material under water.  Algae has green pigment which is called chlorophyll so it can do photosynthetic.  Some epilitik algae can adapt in his living place.  Cyanophyta is one of algae which lives in any type of habitas such as; pond, stream even land.  It can live in middle or extreme temperature.  Thus this research was conducted for any kind of epilitik algae in hot water source and its stream in Rimbo Panti reservation in Pasaman.  The research was conducted on June 2010 in survey method.  The sample was identified in Biology laboratory of Biology department in STKIP PGRI West Sumatera.  The concentration measuring of sulfur, nitrogen, and phosphate was done in water laboratory of environment technique department of technical faculty of Andalas university Padang.  The parameter which was used are species. Iden-tification key, description, photo specimen, temperature, pH, the concentration of sulfur, nitrogen, phosphate, and dissolved oxygen (DO).  It was found that there are 11 kinds of epilitik algae where three are categorized as chrysophyta division and eight as Cyanophyta.  In the first station there were 3 epilitik algae and 9 epilitik algae at the second station.  The major species which were found in 90o C are Navicula tenella, Ropalodia gibberula and Oscillatoria minima.  Thus, it was found that the total number of species in each station is different.  Epilitik algae was mostly found in hot water source and only few of them was found in its stream.Key words: epilitik algae, hot water source

Abstract

Abstract Ferns specially have distinctive physique , make likely to be mistake with other plant species . Part of the uniqueness of it is that there are young leaves are curled which will open if an adult , this characteristic also called vernasi curled , nails reproduce by spores , spores are formed within the sporangium is generally found in large numbers on the underside of leaves .Anai Valley Nature Reserve is a conservation area located in West Sumatra . This research was carried out by using descriptive method by means of direct field observation and collection . Identification is done in Sumatra Biota Laboratory , University of Andalas (ANDA) , Biological Resources Unit of Sumatra , Campus Unand Limau Manis , Padang .From the research that has been conducted in the area Anai Valley Nature Reserve , Tanah Datar regency of West Sumatra , which is classified into sixteen kinds of nails , grouped into thirteen families , eight orders , and three classes of terrestrial nails .

Abstract

ABSTRACT Fern is one of the plants that can be found in the forest and is a group of low level plants with a high level of species diversity. Ferns thrive in temperate climates; they are easily found in the forests. On the side of the road, in the trunk or growing on the soil. Bayang sani’s waterfall is a tourist place with a fairly high humidity that makes lots of ferns grow. Local government will inaugurate this places as a tourism area in south pesisir regency. This situation will be resulted on the construction of larger roads for the visitors who come on tourism sites in baying sani. The development on the reconstruction can be harmful for the plants around the waterfall, especially ferns grown at the edge of the waterfall. This study was conducted from February to March 2014 in   the   Bayang  sani’s   Tourism  area,   bayang   subdistrict,  south   pesisir  regency.   Further, identification of the sample was conducted at the botany laboratory of biology education program STKIP PGRI of West Sumatra. The research method is the descriptive survey. Data of the research is analyzed descriptively based on the data and description of the species obtained. Based on the research of the types of terrestrial and epiphytic ferns in Bayang sani’s tourism area, Bayang subdistrict,  South  Pesisir  Regency,  it  was  found  that  there  are  21  species  of  terrestrial  and epiphytic ferns with 14 species   of terrestrial ferns and 7 species of epiphytic fern which belong to the 2 classes, 11 families, 17 genera, 21 species.
