Abstract

The study was aimed to get data on kind of processing and acceptance level of local soybean products in rural and urban areas in Java Island. The study locations were South Jakarta (Province of DKI Jakarta); Serang and Tangerang (Province of Banten); Bekasi, Bogor and Bandung (Province of West Java); Purwokerto, Semarang and Solo (Province of Central Java); Yogyakarta (Province of D.I.Yogyakarta); Malang, Jember and Surabaya (Province of East Java). The study was a part of a grand study on processing, acceptance, and consumption pattern of local soybean products at various socio-economic level of households in Java Island in 2005.  The data were obtained by interviewing and observing 2080 households (consisted of 1280 households in urban and 800 households in rural areas) selected randomly. Soybean products that mostly found in the market and consumed by households of Indonesian people, particularly in Java Island, were tempe, tauco, soy-sauce, tofu, tofu-flower, soy-sprout, and oncom.  The mostly ways to process the soy products were stir-frying, deep-frying, toasting, boiling, and ‘bacem’.  Besides, there were also some soy products that consumed directly at a household level after factorized processing, namely as soy-sauce and soy-milk. The average time used to process the soy-products varied, depended on the way of processing and  number of the product processed.  Stir-frying, especially for tempe, tofu, and tauge, was a frequent way done by poor and rich households, both in urban and rural areas.  The products that mostly processed by frying in rural household was tempe, tofu and soybean, meanwhile in urban areas were only tempe and tofu.  The everage time used by urban households to fry the soy-products was shorter than time used by rural households. It was found that more than 90% of households in rural and urban areas stated “like” and “like very much” tempe, tofu, and soy-sauce.  However, the acceptance level of household on tauco, soy-milk, and soy-flower was still low, namely less than 50%. Abstract

The objective of this study was to analyze the effect of extension on nutrition-health and other factors on the growth of pre-school children.  The design of this study was a quasi experiment. The subjects of this study were pre-school children aged 3-6 year old with  some specified criteria, such as having no story of severe malnutrition and low birth weight, having a complete parents, literacy ability of the mother, stated in a health condi­tion/undefect handicapped, and did not follow any programs of early-age children educa­tion. The subjects were divided into two groups, namely group of control and group of in­tervention. The primary data collected consisted of family’s characteristics, child’s charac­teristics, and children’s care and development environment. Generally, there was no signifi­cant difference between pre- and post-test of mother’s knowledge on nutrition-health, both of control and intervention groups; however, there was a slightly difference on child-care on nutrition-health for the two groups. There was a significant difference on mother’s knowl­edge on nutrition-health between pre- and post- extension on the both groups.  About 51.3% of child’s growth was determined by factors of family and children.  The factors which had a possitive significant influence were body lenght, and mother’s knowledge on nutrition-health.  Keywords : intervention, caring, cognitive, psychomotor, social, emotional.

Abstract

Increasing of life age expectancy has risen many health problem. One of the problem is osteoporosis.This disease can be prevented by estrogen and swimming treatment. Estrogen is not safe to be given inlong term. This study aim was to investigate the decreasing of osteoclast count in estrogen and swimmingtreatment. This study uded Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design with fifty two mice (15-16 months old).The mice were divided randomly into 4 groups, i.e. control, estrogen, swimming and combination group.After 90 days treatment, epiphysis of radius bone was sectioned and stained by haematoxyllin eosin.Osteoclast difference between groups were analyzed by using analysis of variance. Mean of osteoclast incontrol group was 0.12±0.1, and three other groups had the same level, i.e. 0,02±0,06. In conclusion, thedecrease of osteoclast count did not have any significant difference between treatment groups.

Abstract

Diabetes melitus is a disease that often encountered by Indonesian people. It can cause microvascular andmacrovascular complication. Traditional herbal medicine such as paliasa (Kleinhovia hospita L.) leavesextract can decrease blood glucose. This study was aimed to identify the effectiveness of extract paliasaleaves on blood glucose decreasing for aloxan induced Wistar mice. This Control Group Design used twentyeight mice (three months old). The mice were divided randomly into four groups, i.e. control, paliasa250mg/kg body weight (BW), 500 mg/kg BW, and 750 mg/kg BW. After one week adaptation and induced byalloxan, pretest fasting blood glucose test was done. Treatment was given for two weeks and posttest bloodglucose test was done afterwards. The decrease of fasting blood glucose level was analyzed by usinganalysis of varians. Result showed there was significantly higher level of blood glucose decrease in micewith paliasa extract dose of 750mg/kgBB. Mean level of blood glucose decrease on control group was2.9±0.17, paliasa group with dose 250mg/kgBB was 29.28±1.15, paliasa 500 mg/kgBB was 46.7±2.1, danpaliasa 750mg/kgBB was 74.8±1.88.  In conclusion, extract paliasa treatment can decrease fasting bloodglucose level on hyperglycemic rats.

trategi pembelajaran yang dapat mendorong mahasiswa untuk menelusuri referensi lebih mendalam berdasarkan permasalahan kontekstual salah satunya dengan Info Search berbasis PMR. Tulisan ini membahas efektifitas strategi Info Search berbasis PMR pada mata kuliah Statistika Dasar 2 dengan mengambil 2 kelas untuk penelitian. Kelas pertama menggunakan strategi pembelajaran Info Search berbasis PMR sedangkan kelompok kedua menggunakan metode konvensional. Dari data hasil pre-test, diketahui bahwa 2 kelas sampel mempunyai kemampuan awal yang sama sebelum salah satu kelas menggunakan strategi Info Search berbasis PMR. Berdasarkan analisis data nilai post-test diketahui bahwa nilai kelas IVA lebih baik daripada IVB. Ini berarti strategi Info Search berbasis PMR efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman mahasiswa. Kata kunci: Info Search, Pembelajaran Matematika Realistik, efektifitas efektifitas

Abstract

Model persamaan regresi linear dapat dinyatakan dalam bentuk matriks sebagai uXy   , dengan dengan pj  ,,, 21  adalah parameter yang belum diketahui dari n pengamatan ni yyyy ,,, 21  , dengan ijx adalah koefisien yang diketahui dan iu adalah variabel random independen dan berdistribusi identik. Dalam pengamatan seringkali ditemukan observasi yang nilainya jauh berbeda dengan observasi lainnya. Observasi ini disebut sebagai outlier yang mengakibatkan asumsi kenormalan pada regresi linear dilanggar. Regresi linear robust dengan estimasi M tidak peka terhadap suatu data yang mengandung pengamatan outlier. Dengan estimasi ini, pengamatan outlier ini tidak perlu dibuang dari observasi karena seringkali justru pengamatan outlier sangat berarti dalam observasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menunjukkan bahwa regresi linear robust dengan estimasi M dapat mengatasi suatu data yang mengandung pengamatan outlier. Setelah itu, peneliti menerapkannya pada data nilai kalkulus II pada mahasiswa Universitas Widya Dharma Klaten. Dari data ini, peneliti mendapatkan persamaan model regresi linear robust: 1 20,177 0, 655 0,947  Y X X , dengan Y menunjukkan nilai kalkukulus II, X1 menunjukkan nilai kalkulus I, dan X2 menunjukkan nilai trigonometri. Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic syndrome due to pancreas failure to produce insulin, thereforehyperglycemia is the hallmark of DM. There is hyperglycemia in this disease. In the world, there isaround143 million diabetes mellitus patients. One of the deathcause in diabetes mellitus is chronic liver disease.Herbal medicine is thought to give less side effect than sintetic medicine. A traditional plant that hashypoglicemia property is decoction of Indonesian bay leaves. This study was aimed to study effectivity ofIndonesian bay leaf decoction in decreasing blood glucose level, pancreas and liver hemorrhage scores, andKupffer cell count on alloxan-induced Wistar rats. This Control Group Design used twenty four rats (threemonth old). The rats were divided randomly into four groups, i.e.: control, 1 mL of Indonesian bay leafdecoction (0.9 g/kg body weight (BW)), 2 mL of Indonesian bay leaf decoction (1.8 g/kg BW), and 3 mL ofIndonesian bay leaf decoction (2.7 g /kg BW). After one week adaptation the rats were inducedwithalloxan,then pretest for fasting blood glucose test was examined. Treatment was given for ten days and posttestblood glucose test was done afterwards. At the end of the experiment, all rats were sacrificed to collectpancreas, kidney, and liver. Those organs were stained with hematoxylin eosin. Levelof fasting bloodglucose, hemorrhage score, on pancreas and kidney and Kupffer cell count were analyzed by using Anova.In conclusion, Indonesian bay leaf decoction may lower fasting blood glucose level on hyperglycemic rats aswell as Kupffer cell count significantly, but it is not likely to give significant result in lowering of pancreasand kidney hemorrhage scores.

Abstract

Dalam pembelajaran perlu dilakukan suatu evaluasi proses pembelajaran. Salah satu penilaian yang dapat digunakannya, yaitu menggunakan pengukuran kuesioner. Pada penelitian ini, jenis evaluasi proses pembelajaran pada perkuliahan program studi Pendidikan Matematika yang digunakan meliputi peran aktif mahasiswa, materi yang disampaikan dosen, dan metode pengajaran. Dari 23 butir pernyataan hanya 18 butir yang memenuhi validitas isinya, nilai reliabelitasnya, dan nilai konsistensi internalnya. Dari analisis data ini diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa peran aktif mahasiswa dalam mengikuti perkuliahan masuk dalam kategori yang sudah baik terlihat skor rata-rata totalnya sebesar 3.3225. Materi perkuliahan yang diberikan oleh dosen kepada mahasiswa masuk dalam kategori yang sudah baik terlihat skor rata-rata totalnya sebesar 3.2364. Metode pengajaran yang diberikan oleh dosen kepada mahasiswa masuk dalam kategori sudah baik terlihat skor rata-rata totalnya sebesar 3.1467. Abstract

Universitas Negeri YogyakartaAbstrakRumusan masalah yang ada dalam penelitian ini ada tiga yaitu : (1)Bentuk lagu dan tari cangget dalam adat budaya masyarakat Lampung, (2)Makna lagu dan tari cangget dalam adat budaya masyarakat Lampung, dan(3) Fungsi lagu dan tari cangget dalam adat budaya masyarakat Lampung.Penelitian ini secara umum untuk memperoleh deskripsi dari masyarakatLampung.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Datapenelitian berupa lagu dan tari cangget. Sumber data dalam penelitian iniadalah lagu daerah Lampung yang sudah direkam dalam kaset CD dan taricangget yang sudah di dapat dalam bentuk foto serta informan terkaitdengan tarian. Peneliti menggunakan dua cara untuk mengumpulkan data,yaitu: (1) wawancara (interview), dan (2) dokumentasi (documenter).Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa bentuk lagu dan tari berupa tekslagu sedangkan bentuk-bentuk tarian berupa dokumen foto, kemudianmakna yang terkandung dalam lagu cangget tersebut meliputi: makanaestetika, makna sosiologis, dan makna religi. Makna tarian tersebut dapatdicirikan melalui bentuk gerakana-gerakan penari. Kemudian fungsi lagudan tari tersebut dapat diambil melalui fungsi sosial, fungsi edukasi, fungsireligi dan fungsi estetik. Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa bentuk, makna,dan fungsi yang terdapat dalam lagu dan tari cangget merupakan paparantentang folklor.Kata Kunci: Folklor, Budaya, Lagu dan Tari.

Abstract

Zooplankton have an important role in water especially in the food chain, this organism is a consumer  I which plays a major role in bridging the energy transfer from primary producers (phytoplankton) to living things are at  a  higher  trophic  level  (fish  and  shrimp).   This  research  aimed  to  analyze  the  relationship  between  the abundance  of  zooplankton  to  phytoplankton  and  phisic-chemistry  parameters  at  Jailolo  waters,  HalmaheraBarat.   The  research  was  conducted  in  February  2011.  The  observation  of  zooplankton  were  taken  from  7 stations by filtration method. The result showed that there were 7 genera of 4 (four) groups: Ciliate(1 genus), Crustaceae  (4  genera),  Rotifera  (1  genus),  and  Sarcodina  (1  genus).   Abundance  of  zooplankton  range  from 1,429 - 32,571 cell/m3, the highest on Gufasa and Tuada (32,571 cell/m3) and the lowest on Bobanehena (1,429 cell/m3).    The  value  range  of  zooplankton  biological  index  were  diversity  index  (H  ')  =  0.4506  to  1.5091, equitability index (E) = 0.6356 to 0.9710, and the  dominance index (D) = 0 , 2379 to .7222. There is  a close relationship  between  the  abundance  of  zooplankton  to  phytoplankton  abundance  and  physico-chemical parameters  of  waters,  with  a  coefficient  of  determination  (R2)  of  0.972  and  the  regression  equation  Y  =  - 7194397 - 0.0836 phytoplankton + 269630 temperature+ 6195 salinity + 140943 DO - 128086 pH.
