Abstract

he objective of this research was to study the effects of pre-gelatinization and freezing processes on physico-chemical characteristics of young corn kernel instant. The results showed that pre-gelatinization and slow freezing processes significantly affected bulk density, rehidration capacity, hardness and cooking time of young corn kernel instant. The study of water sorption isothermic showed that the product had a sigmoid curve. Based on this curve, shelf life of the product had been calculated. The YCKI waxy, YCKI Flint, and YCKI Sweet products packed in alufo had shelf life of 7.2, 12.1 and 13.8 months respectively.Key words: young corn kernel instant, pre-gelatinization,slow freezing, drying, water sorption isothermic, shelf life

Abstract

This research was aimed to process corn kernels into instant corn-grits. Corn kernels were milled into grits and pregelatinized before drying to make them instant product. The study showed that pre-gelatinization step affected the degree of gelatinization of corn-grits, which inturn significantly affected characteristics of the product such as cooking time, degree of swelling and amount of water absorbed. Processing of corn kernels into instant corn-grits yielded 60 – 63% product. Instant corn grits can be cooked for 5 minutes. The shelf life of the product lasted for 12.8 – 13.4 months. Abstract

This research was aimed to characterize sweet potato flour var. shiroyutaka and assessment of its potential as alternative carbohydrate source on food product. Characterization was conducted on flour processed from sweet potato var. shiroyutaka harvested at four months was characteristic, these included whiteness degree and water absorption of the flour, ratio of amylase-amylopectin, form and size of starch granule, and starch digestibility. The research showed that whiteness degree and water absorption of the flour were 78,82% ( 0,52) and 1,25 g/g ( 0,12) respectively. The ratio of amylase-amylopectin, gelatinization temperature, maximum viscosity and invitro starch digest ability were 69.82%: 30.18%, 78-900C and 84,78% respectively. The granule of its starch was round form and with size 2-4 micron. The main potential of the flour is related with its specific characteristics which were the amylose-amylopectin ratio, the starch amylograph profile, form and size of starch granule, and the starch digest ability. These parameters implied that, the flour should be utilized in the production specific food products. Key words : sweet potato flour, amylose, gelatinization, digest ability, water absorption

Process engineering applications of CPO during handling, transporting, and processing, need baseline data related to CPO’s physical properties. This research was aimed to obtain baseline data about physical properties of CPO and to study the correlation between CPO’s quality attributes to their physical property parameters. Study on physical property and quality of CPO was conducted to five CPO samples from different CPO’s producers. Those samples had variations on physical property parameters and quality attributes. Some physical property parameters of CPO were depended on the temperature of measurements. CPO samples showed non-Newtonian pseudoplastic behaviour at 25°C with various flow behaviour index (n) and concistency index (K), other wise at 55°C all CPO samples showed Newtonian behaviour.There were good correlations between quality attributes of CPO to their physical property parameters at 25°C, including correlations between free fatty acid contents of CPO and the temperatures of crystallization, as well as between iodine values and the rheological properties of CPO.   Key words: palm oil, quality, physical property, rheology

Abstract

Abstract: The use of KIT Influence Of Student Results in Fourth Grade Learning of Natural Sciences. The general objective of this study was to describe the effect of the use of KIT on fourth grade students learning outcomes. The method used was experimental method. Research experiments used the quasi-experimental (experimental quasy). The research design used in this study is One group pre-test post-test design. The results of the average pre-test score was 55.97 and the standard deviation of 10.92, while the average post-test score was 75.44 and the standard deviation is 11.93 Results of analysis of the obtained results tcount = 10.91 and t table with df = 38-1 = 37 and a significance level (a) prices gained 0.01 t table = 2.771, t ≥ tcuont turns t tables (10.91 ≥ 2.771) means significant, it can be concluded that Ho is rejected, the opposite Ha received or approved. Keywords: Effects, KIT, Learning Outcomes   Abstrak: Pengaruh Penggunaan KIT Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas IV Dalam Pembelajaran  Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam. Tujuan umum penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh penggunaan KIT terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas IV. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen. Penelitian eksperimen yang digunakan yaitu eksperiment semu (quasy eksperimental). Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah One group pre-test post-test design. Hasil rata-rata skor pre-test adalah 55,97 dan standar deviasi sebesar 10,92, sedangkan rata-rata skor post-test adalah 75,44 dan standar deviasi adalah 11,93 Hasil analisa diperoleh hasil thitung=10,91  dan t tabel dengan df=38-1 = 37 dan taraf signifikan (a) 0,01 diperoleh harga  t tabel = 2,771, ternyata thitung ≥ t tabel (10,91 ≥ 2,771) berarti signifikan, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ho ditolak, sebaliknya Ha diterima atau disetujui.   Kata Kunci : Pengaruh, KIT, Hasil Belajar

Abstract

Abstract : The application of Scouts extracurricular in support the discipline on study of the students in the high class of elementary school. Aims to get an information about the application of scouts extracurricular in support the discipline on study in elementary school in Southeast Pontianak . The metodh that used was description metodh. Theresult of this research was tool and infrastructure ofScouts extracurricular of elementary school in Southeast Pontianak Subdistrict was quite complete classified for support the application of Scouts extracurricular. There was about 92% of the exercise equippent has available in the school, 32% of the camping equipment, 50% of the administration equipment and 100% of the coach Scouts extracurricular. The applicationdid not workable optimal and maximal, and the contribution of the application Scouts extracurricular material good score where the implementation of theScouts extracurricular material all of them have character for support the discipline on Study in the School.   Key word: Application, ScoutsExtracurricular, Discipline on Study. Abstrak: Penerapan ekstrakurikuler Pramuka dalam menunjang disiplin belajar siswa kelas tinggi di SD. Tujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai, penerapanekstrakurikuler Pramuka dalam menunjang disiplin belajar di SDN Pontianak Tenggara. Metode yang digunakan metode deskriptif. Sarana dan prasarana ekstrakurikuler Pramuka di SDN Kecamatan Pontianak Tenggara tergolong cukup lengkap untuk menunjang penerapan ekstrakurikuler Pramuka. Terdapat sekitar 92% perlengkapan latihan37% perlengkapan perkemahan, 50% perlengkapan administrasi dan 100% pelatih ekstrakurikuler Pramuka. Penerapan kegiatan belum dilaksanakan secara optimal dan maksimal, dan kontribusi penerapan materi ekstrakurikuler Pramuka dinilai baik dimana pelaksanaan materi ekstrakurikuler Pramuka yang ada semuanya memiliki peran untuk menunjang disiplin belajar di sekolah.   Kata Kunci: Penerapan, Ekstrakurikuler Pramuka, Disiplin Belajar

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to describe the correlation between the use of media stories illustrated with student learning outcomes in learning Indonesian Elementary School third grade 16 South Pontianak. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The results showed that the use of the media is fair picture story that is equal to 80.68%. While the learning outcomes of students obtained an average value of 78.01. There is a strong relationship between the media stories illustrated with student learning outcomes. This was proved by calculating the correlation coefficient of 0.68. This value is then compared with the r table at the level of 5% for the db N = 73 is 0.2318. Thus the count r> r of the table or 0.68> 0.2318, which means that there is a correlation between the use of media stories illustrated with student learning outcomes in learning Indonesian Elementary School third grade 16 South Pontianak. Keywords:Correlation, Illustrated Stories, Learning Outcomes   Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan korelasi antara penggunaan media cerita bergambar dengan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia kelas III Sekolah Dasar Negeri 16 Pontianak Selatan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media cerita bergambar tergolong baik yaitu sebesar 80,68 %. Sedangkan hasil belajar siswa diperoleh nilai rata-rata 78,01. Terdapat hubungan yang kuat antara media cerita bergambar dengan hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini terbukti dengan perhitungan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,68. Nilai tersebut selanjutnya dibandingkan dengan r tabel pada taraf 5 % untuk db N=73 adalah 0,2318. Dengan demikian r hitung > dari r tabel atau 0,68 > 0,2318, yang berarti terdapat korelasi antara penggunaan media cerita bergambar dengan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia kelas III Sekolah Dasar Negeri 16 Pontianak Selatan. Abstract

Pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe teams games tournaments terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis apakah penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournaments dalam pembelajaran IPS dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas III SDN 12 Pontianak Selatan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan bentuk quasi exsperimental design. Berdasarkan analisis data, hasil rata-rata post-test kelas kontrol 7,28 dan rata-rata post-test kelas eksperimen 8,36 diperoleh thitung 12,222 dan ttabel (α = 5 % dan dk = 44) sebesar 2,011, yang berarti thitung > ttabel (12,222 > 2,011), maka dapat dikatakan Ha diterima sedangkan Ho ditolak. Dari perhitungan effect size sebesar 0,5 (kriteria sedang), dalam menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournaments memberikan pengaruh yang sedang terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPS di kelas III SDN 12 Pontianak Selatan. Kata Kunci: pengaruh, kooperatif tipe TGT, IPS   Abstract: The effect of the use of cooperative learning model type teams games tournaments on student learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze whether the use of cooperative learning model types Teams Games Tournaments IPS learning can improve student learning outcomes SDN 12 grade III South Pontianak. The method used in this research is a form of quasi-experimental method exsperimental design. Abstract

Media use image to enhance students’ writing skills class IV Indonesian guide SDN 37 camps. This research aims to improve students’ writing skills class IV Indonesian guide SDN 37 camps. Methods used in this research is descriptive method to from action research (PTK). Based on that has been conducted, the results of students learning to write instructions using media images in cycle I, the value of 60 as many as 6 people students (37,5%), over 60 as many as 10 students (62,5%). In cycle II, the average value of 70,62 by 16 students (100%). Thus, it can be concluded that the use of media images can improve the ability of students to write instruction Indonesian IV class SDN 37 camps.   Key word: use, media images, writing skills instruction discussed Indonesian   Abstrak: Penggunaan Media Gambar Untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Siswa Menulis Petunjuk Bahasa Indonesia Kelas IV SDN 37 Kubu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan siswa menulis petunjuk bahasa Indonesia kelas IV SDN 37 Kubu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini yaitu metode deskriptif dengan bentuk Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, hasil belajar siswa menulis petunjuk dengan menggunakan media gambar pada siklus I, nilai 60 sebanyak 6 orang siswa (37,5%), di atas 60 sebanyak 10 orang siswa (62,5%). Pada siklus II, nilai rata-rata 70,62 sebanyak 16 orang siswa (100%). Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media gambar dapat meningkatkan keterampilan siswa menulis petunjuk bahasa Indonesia kelas IV SDN 37 Kubu..   Kata Kunci: penggunaan, media gambar, keterampilan menulis petunjuk bahasa Indonesia

Abstract

Abstract: The correlation between PQ4R learning strategy usage with comprehension reading skill of fourth grade. The aim of this research is to get the objective side about the correlation between PQ4R learning strategy usage with comprehension reading skill of fourth grade. This research uses descriptive method. The result of the research indicates that there is a significant correlation between PQ4R learning strategy usage with comprehension reading skill of fourth grade. It can be proved from the amount of rxy>rtable (0,55>0,227). Thereby Ha is accepted and Ho is refused. Abstrak: Korelasi antara penggunaan strategi belajar PQ4R dengan keterampilan membaca pemahaman di kelas IV. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan korelasi antara penggunaan strategi belajar PQ4R  dengan keterampilan membaca pemahaman di kelas IV. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi yang siginifikan antara penggunaan strategi belajar PQ4R dengan keterampilan membaca pemahaman di kelas IV. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari jumlah rxy>rtabel (0,55>0,227). Dengan demikian Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak.   Kata Kunci: Korelasi, PQ4R, Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman
