Abstract

Tarsier is one of smallest primate and endemic protected animals that lives at primary or secondary forests of Sulawesi. Objective this research was to know about estimation of population density and spasial characteristic of tarsier (Tarsius tarsier Erxleben 1777) at Batuputih Nature Park of Tangkoko. Population density was counted by strip transect and charactersistic spatial used quadrat method and than to looking behavior out and in sleeping tree will using descriptive analysis. Result showed that tarsius live in groups with 2-8 individuals per group . Tarsius tarsier population density estimates obtained 270 ind / km ² or 2.7 ind / ha and abundance reached 1660 tarsiers were found on the area of ​​Batuputih Nature Park Tangkoko. Spatial Characteristics the average sleeping tree of tarsier are tree species associated with plants rope (Liana), including the type of Spathodea campanulata, Ailanthus integrifolia, Kleinhovia hospital, Alstonia scholaris, Garuga floribunda, Ficus tinctoria and Ficus variegata. Observations of behavior in and out of sleeping tree or nest trees can be found that tarsiers have the same pattern to using vegetation to doing this activity. Abstract

This study was conducted in paddy fields in the village area Pontodon Mogulantat Eastern District of North Kotamobagu. This study aims to analyze vegetation paddy weeds at a range of zero days before planting, 21 days after planting and 42 days after planting. The method used in the analysis of vegetation weeds in paddy rice cultivation is done by using a 0.5 mx 0.5 m square in each time period in the study sample plots,. In this study that the best knowledge of the dominant weeds (NJD) is the highest at any period of time the study was Paspalum disticum with NJD value of 25.93% at zero days before planting, 16.10% in the period and 21 days after planting and 18.34% in period of 42 days after planting.
