Abstract

Sejalan dengan budaya untuk kembali ke alam (back to nature) menyebabkan meningkatnya kesadaran masyarakat akan bahaya mengkonsumsi sayuran yang mengandung bahan kimia. Saat ini dilingkungan perkotaan pola hidup sehat yang akrab lingkungan telah menjadi trend baru. Masyarakat di wilayah kelurahan Wonosari, kecamatan Ngaliyan, kota Semarang mencanangkan program adanya warung hidup. Tetapi dalam pelaksanaannya banyak mengalami kendala, seperti keterbatasan lahan, banyak masyarakat yang belum mengetahui tata cara tanam, dan kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya pola hidup sehat. Solusi yang bisa diterapkan adalah dengan menerapkan warung hidup dengan teknik Wick system. Tujuan dari kegiatanpengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan danpendampingan budidaya warung hidup dengan wick system. Kegiatan inidilaksanakan di kelurahan Wonosari, kecamatan Ngaliyan kota Semarang.Berdasarkan hasil pengabdian dihasilkan penerapan warung hidup denganteknik wick system. Abstract

One of the consequences of teachers as functional positions is that teachers are required to carry out continuous professional development (PKB), so they can carry out their duties and functions professionally. Continuous professional development is the development of teacher competencies carried out in accordance with the needs, gradually, continuously to improve their professionalism; one of them is scientific publication (KTI) or academic writing. This study aims to determine the process of designing the Task Based Language Teaching method in scientific writing material and examine the learning outcomes of elementary school teachers who take tutorial courses on Scientific Work Writing Techniques based on Task Based Language Learning. The subjects of this study were students who took the eight semester of Scientific Writing Techniques course. The method of this research used the modified 4-D instructional development model of Thiagarajan, Semmel and Semmel (4-D models). The methods of collecting data used interviewing, observing, test, and filling out questionnaires. The results show that the application of the Task Based Language Teaching method is appropriate to use in classroom tutorial teaching by considering the results of validation, namely conformity to concept indicators, content feasibility indicators, presentation indicators, and competency indicators with existing RAT and SAT along with Engineering learning modules Writing Scientific Work. Furthermore, students' self-concept is good in learning the Scientific Writing Technique in the tutorial class. This means that students' self-concept had a good improvement and reached a percentage above 70%. This proves that the application of the Task Based Language Teaching method runs seamlessly and according to what is expected. All in all, the students are more enthusiastic and challenging in writing research articles.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the student?s responses in writing action research proposals. The method  of this research is the descriptive quantitative.  The subject of this study was UT Semarang students 2018.1 in Pokjar Kaliwungu Kendal who took Action Research courses. The data collection technique used questionnaires by giving a set of questions or written statements to respondents to answer them. The results of the student? s responses analysis before and after the Colaborative Writing model application showed that there was an increase in the average student? s activeness because they were more enthusiastic in writing Classroom Action Research proposals by collaborating in writing with groups according to the developed teaching materials. Their tendency to more easily determine the topic of research using the Collaborative Writing model.Keywords: analyzing, writing research, collaborative writing, student?s responses

Abstract

Sebagian guru di SD Negeri Kembangarum 01 banyak yang masih gagap teknologi terutama mereka yang sudah jadi guru sejak lama atau senior karena selama mereka kuliah, teknologi komputer dan internet belum sebanyak sekarang. Berdasarkan paparan tersebut, semua guru dituntut untuk selalu mengembangkan diri sejalan dengan kemajuan  ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Tetapi pada kenyataannya kemampuan mereka cenderung relatif standar hanya mampu mengoperasikan microsoft words saja. Berdasarkan pernyataan tersebut, tim pengabdi kami memfokuskan pengabdian masyarakat pada pemanfaatan teknologi komputer pada guru SDN 01 Kembangarum Semarang yang berjumlah 21 orang. Adapun metode pelatihan yang dilakukan menggunakan metode ceramah, praktek, dan evaluasi kepuasan peserta pelatihan. Dari program pelatihan pengabdian masyarakat tersebut dihasilkan peningkatan kemampuan mengoperasikan microsoft words, power point, microsoft excel, pelatihan membuat email, dan pelatihan mendaftar website di wordpress. Para guru menjadi termotivasi untuk lebih menggunakan power point, dan website gratis sebagai media pembelajaran dan penghitungan dalam excel untuk mengevaluasi penilaian siswa baik ulangan harian, tugas, UTS, atau UAS.Keywords: aplikasi komputer, kinerja guru, sekolah dasar.AbstractSome teachers at Public Elementary School of Kembangarum 1 are technologically illiterate, primarily the senior ones, for when they were students the technology was not as high as it is now. Based on that, all of the teachers are asked to always develop themselves in line with the advancement of science and technology. I fact, their abilities are relatively standard, only able to operate Microsoft Word. Therefore, we conducted a community service focusing on utilizing computer technology for 21 teachers at Public Elementary School of Kembangarum 1 Semarang. Methods used were lecture, practice, evaluation on satisfaction, and training. Results of the community service showed that the ability to operate Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Microsoft Excel improved. Trainings on how to create an email and register a website on Wordpress were also given. The teachers were more motivated to use Power Point application and free-of-charge website as learning and calculating media in excel in order to evaluate the students? assessments in both daily tests, assignments, mid-term test, and post-term test.
