Abstract

The purpose this research was to determine the effect of plant spacing on seaweed the quality specifications of carrageenan. This research uses a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Randomization was carried out using a random table of 3 treatments, namely a distance of 40 cm and a distance of 60 with a control distance of 20 cm and repeated 3 times. The method used in determining the floor plan / place is the lottery method. Parameters observed included water content, ash content, sulfate content and viscosity. The results showed that the best treatment was found in carrageenan Eucheuma with a spacing of 40 cm, the best quality determinant based on the parameters value of water content (11.49), value of ash conten (21.23), value of sulfate conten (32, 40) and value of viscosity (61).

Abstract

Fishing isone of thepotential protein sectorsof Indonesian society. Fishery productsis easilydamagedbecause they have high water content, it make a suitableplaceforbreedingof microorganismsandspoilage bacteria, so it is necessaryto do processing, one of which isprocessed intosalted fish. The purpose of this study was to determine the rate of change in water content, protein content, and organoleptic test catfish by drying using a cabinet dryer with controlled temperature. This study uses acompletely randomized design, which consists ofa singlefactorthat islongerdrying8, 10, 12hours. Data analysis of variance(ANOVA) followed bya further testDMRT. The results showedthat thedrying timesignificantly affected themoisture contentchanges, protein content, andorganoleptic test. Based on the test results, fishery that treatment drying time of 8 hours has a 30,22% moisture content, 48,68% protein content, 10 hours drying time has a 26,62% moisture content, 51,20% protein content, drying time 12 hours had higher levels 19,64% of moisture content, and 55,00% protein content, the organoleptik characteristics and treatments that have the highest level of preference in terms of appearance and odor treatment contained in the drying time of 8 hours, and to sense are in treatment 12 hours drying time, drying time treatment 10 hours is a treatment that has the characteristics and preference level of the highest rated in terms of the texture of salted catfish produced

Abstract

Compost is organic material, such as leaves, straw, reed, grass, rice bran, stalk corn, tendrils, herbs and manure that has been decomposed by decomposing microorganisms, so it can be utilized to improve soil properties. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of compost fertilizer from the results of biopori infiltration holes to mustard plants and to determine the compost concentration of biopori most influential on the growth of mustard plants. This type of research is experimental research conducted with two stages, namely composting in biopori infiltration hole and utilization of biopori compost fertilizer on mustard plant to increase the growth and production of mustard plant. This research uses descriptive analysis with 5 treatment of concentration of compost fertilizer. The results of this study indicate that fertilizer from biopori infiltration hole is effective for use and the most influential concentration on the growth of the mustard greens is 150 grams.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the chemical characteristics of milk dairy cow in Sinjai District include fat content, protein content, calcium level and phosphorus level. The results of this test will be compared with the requirement of fresh milk quality based on Indonesian National Standard. This research is a kind of survey research, this research is done by taking samples of milk dairy cattle at three farmer groups in Sinjai District, especially in West Sinjai Sub-district namely  Batu leppa farmer group, Batu Pangkaiya  farmer group and Pattiroang farmer group. The results showed that milk protein content of dairy cows in Sinjai District has complied with Indonesian National Standard, but its fat content has not fulfilled the Indonesian National Standard. The calcium and phosphor content of dairy cattle milk in Sinjai District is good enough and meets the standards of fresh milk based on the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia

Abstract

This  study  aims  at  knowing  the  influence  of  temperature  and  leght  of  drying  to chemical characteristic and organoleptic of taro flour. This study is an experimental study using complete random design, factorial pattern which is consisted of two factors namely: drying temperature (P1 = 50 0C, and P2= 60 0C) and length of drying (T1 = 8 hours, and T2 = 10 hours) with  three  time  repetition.  Variables  observed  were  rendamen,  the  content  of  water, the content of ashes, the content of protein, the content of carbohydrate, the appearance, the smell and texture. Analysis technic used ini this study were analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Duncan advanced  test which were calculated through software statistical package for social science (SPSS) version 21.0. The results showed that temperature and length of drying had an evident influence to the chemical characteristic and organoleptic of taro flour. The results of the chemical characteristic and organoleptic of taro flour covered 8,57 % rendamen, 11,80 % water, 11,46 % ashes, 5,95 % protein, 73,58 % carbohydrate,  8,60 % in appearance, 6,82 % in smell, and  7,20 % in texture

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the  demonstration methods on the subjects of agricultural tools and machines class X Plantations Agribusiness of SMK Negeri 6 Takalar. This research is quasi experiment in  pre-test and post-test form with number of population is 21 people and all the population is used to be sample. Data obtained by documentation technique, testing, and observation. Research procedure includes stages: pre-test, treatment, post-test. The results of the research showed that the application of the demonstration learning methods is effective and can increase student achievement in subjects agricultural tools and machines of class X ATP of SMK Negeri 6 Takalar, Takalar district. This was evident in the pre-test and post-testt which  increased. Based on the quantitative analysis of this research showed that the classical learning completeness in the pre-test about 14.28%, on a post-test increased to 90.48% with the effectiveness level of learning demonstration methods stood at 80.73 a scale of 100

Abstract

This research aims to find out the possibility of substitution seed powder of salak and arabica coffee powder to be used as an alternative the coffee powder and comparison of seed powder of salak and arabica coffee powder to most panelist favored. The observed parameters proximate test namely carbohydrates, protein, moisture content, ash content, caffeine content, and organoleptic test, which consists of color, scent of and flavor. Research results show that the substitution seed powder of salak to arabica coffee powder is enabling do the mixing, based on test results hedonic which consists of color, scent of and flavor shows the average value of 6,12-7,31 which mean decent and the best treatment lies in the A treatment (25% seed powder of salak and 75% Arabika coffee powder). Proximate of test results showed the highest carbohydrate content lies on D treatment (100% seed powder of salak), while the highest protein content lies on the K treatment (100% Arabica coffee powder), fhurthermore the lowest ash content and the lowest caffeine levels is contained on the D treatment and low water content is contained on the K treatment

Abstract

This research was aims to determine the mechanism of water vaporization and shrinkage in cassava chips during drying process using a cabinet dryer machine. Cassava chips driedat temperature 50, 60, and 700C with the time 240, 300, and 360 minutes. The parameter observed werewater content, water vaporization and shrinkage. The data were analyzed of descriptive. The results of the research showed that during drying process occurred of changes water content, water vaporization and shrinkage. More high  the temperature and to the length of time drying cause decrease the water content with increase the rate water vaporization and shrinkage.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using basic ingredients of tofu with additional vegetables for nugget quality, as well as the level of fondness for nuggets. The type of this research is quantitative research with experiment approach using randomized block design consisting of control 100% of chicken meat, 90% tofu and 10% broccoli, tofu 85% and broccoli 15%, tofu 80% and broccoli 20%. The results showed that the highest water content was 90% tofu and 10% broccoli, while the highest protein content was 85% tofu and 15% broccoli. The results of organoleptic test showed that the best treatment on color, aroma, taste, and texture indicator was tofu 85% and broccoli 15%

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of substitution of corn flour in the production of cookies and cookies hedonic test results. Research carried out two stages. The first stage, the process of making corn flour. The second stage, of making cookies with concentration of wheat flour (100 g, 85 g, 80 g, 75 g) and cornstarch (0 g, 15 g, 20 g, 25 g). This study uses a completely randomized design (CRD), which consists of a single factor, namely the concentration of cornstarch 0 g, 15 g, 20 g and 25 g. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by a further test DMRT. In all aspects of testing the color, flavor, aroma and texture have F count> F table means that there is a real difference in each sample cookies experimental results. The results showed that the concentration of cornstarch similar in chemical quality of the water content of cookies as cookies. Cookies are most preferred treatment concentration C (25 g)
