Abstract

This research is based on the writer's observation in one of the State Vocational High Schools of Tanah Datar that shows that the implementation of teacher's duty as teacher is still low. The purpose of this study is to obtain data and information on 1) the implementation of teacher duties as teachers, 2) teacher work motivation and 3) the relationship of motivation work with the implementation of teacher duties as teachers in Vocational High School Negeri Tanah Datar.Populasi in this study is all teachers who teach in Tanah Datar State Vocational High School, amounting to 195 people and Samples taken using the formula slovin by using Proportionate Stratified Sampling technique that amounted to 69 people. The research instrument used is Likert scale model questionnaire. Instrument test results indicate that both instruments are valid and reliable. Data analysis technique using product moment correlation formula, and t test formula. the result of data analysis showed that the implementation of teacher's duties is in good enough category that is 74%, work motivation is in good enough category that is 77%, and there is significant relation between both variables that is 0,585 and relation significance is 5,900 at 99% confidence level.

Abstract

This research is to describe guidance of professional competence of teachers by principal in Elementary school in sub-district of Padang North of Padang. This research is descriptive study. The population of this research was all teachers (238 people) with total of sample 78 people taken by simple random sampling technique. The instrument of this research was questionnaire by using Likert scale model that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results of this research showed that the average score of  guidance of professional competence of teachers by principal in Elementary school in sub-district of Padang North of Padang is in enough category with an average is 3.5.

Abstract

This research is based on the writer's observation on SMK Negeri 1 Painan which shows that the performance of some teachers is still lace. The purpose of this research is to obtain information about teacher performance, work environment, and work environment relation with teacher performance at SMK Negeri 1 Painan. The population of this research is teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Painan that is still active amounted to 109 people and the sample amounted to 53 people using Proportional Simple Random Sampling technique. This research instrument using questionnaire Likert Scale model is a questionnaire that has been tested the validity and reliability. The result of data analysis shows that the work environment is in the category of enough that is 78,46% and the teacher performance is in good category that is 82,87% and there is positive correlation between variable x and y that is 0,397 and death relationship that is 3,090 at 99%

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the effect of the Open Ended Approach and motivation to learn on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade students in Elementary School. The type of research used is Quasi Experiment with the design of Randomized Control Group Only Design. The population in this study are all elementary school students who have used the 2013 curriculum in Cluster VI Palembayan  District registered in the first semester of the 2018/2019 school year with a sample of VB SDN 27 Tapian Kandis as an experimental class and VA SDN 27 Tapian Kandis as a class control. Sampling is done by simple random sampling technique. Research data was collected through pretest and posttest student learning outcomes. The hypothesis is proposed using the t test formula. The results showed that there was an effect of the Open Ended Approach and learning motivation on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school students with the average student learning outcomes in the experimental class with 54.83 and posttest pretest 83.17 and the average learning outcomes for class students the control is 48.43 and posttest 76.05.
