Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat peraga perpindahan kalor secara radiasi, mengetahui kelayakannya dan menentukan peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa dengan bantuan alat peraga yang dikembangkan untuk anak tunarungu.  Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian R & D. Tahapan R & D menurut Borg dan Gall terdiri atas: (1) penelitian dan pengumpulan informasi; (2) perencanaan; (3) pengembangan produk; (4) uji coba awal; (5) revisi produk utama; (6) uji coba lapangan awal; (7) revisi produk akhir; (8) uji lapangan operasional dan implementasi. Desain uji coba menggunakan, single subject research tipe A-B. Uji coba produk ini dilaksanakan di SLB Negeri Kota Magelang pada semester genap tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Subjek uji coba produk adalah anak tunarungu kelas VII.  Hasil uji kelayakan alat peraga ini diperoleh persentase kelayakan sebesar 91.96% dengan kategori sangat layak. Uji respons guru dan siswa diperoleh persentase berturut-turut sebesar 90.63% dan 89.06% dengan kategori sangat positif. Peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa dilihat dari nilai effect size sebesar 2.08 dengan kategori tinggi dan persentase overlap rendah. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa intervensi berpengaruh baik terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa alat peraga yang dikembangkan layak untuk diterapkan pada pembelajaran anak tunarungu serta dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep tentang perpindahan kalor secara radiasi. Penelitian ini menyajikan pengembangan alat peraga perpindahan kalor secara radiasi untuk meningkaktan pemahaman konsep siswa penyandang tunarungu. Diharapkan akan dihasilkan siswa yang cerdas walaupun mempunyai keterbatasan.   This study aims to develop heat transfer props by radiation, determine their feasibility and determine the improvement of students' conceptual understanding with the help of teaching aids developed for deaf children. The method of this research is R & D research. The stages of R & D according to Borg and Gall consist of: (1) research and information gathering; (2) planning; (3) product development; (4) initial trial; (5) major product revisions; (6) initial field trial; (7) final product revisions; (8) operational field testing and implementation. The design of the trial uses, A-B type single subject research. This product trial is carrie out in the Magelang City SLB in the even semester of the 2016/2017 academic year. The product trial subject is a class VII deaf child. The results of the feasibility test of props obtained a percentage of feasibility of 91.96% with a very feasible category. Test the response of teachers and students obtained by a percentage of 90.63% and 89.06% respectively in a very positive category. Increased understanding of students' concepts is see from the effect size value of 2.08 with a high category and a low percentage of overlap. This shows that the intervention has a good influence on students' ability to understand concepts. Based on the results of the study it can be conclude that the teaching aids developed are feasible to be applie to the learning of deaf children and can improve the understanding of the concept of heat transfer by radiation. This study presents the development of teaching aids for heat transfer radiation to increase the understanding of the concept of deaf students. It is hoped that students will be produced who are intelligent even though they have limitations
